Except for the gourmet breakfasts, this place felt very much like a home into which I was invited. The breakfasts were wonderful (especially the coffee! These people do coffee really, really well). The above 'exception' is merely recognition that frittatas, grilled peaches with creme sauce and mint, pecan-crusted bacon and french toast are not common at home for me, at least. Location was especially nice. I was on a business trip. And strolling through Fernandina Beaches' town center which surrounds the Blue Heron was just a great way to relax at day's end. History. Interesting architecture. Outdoor cafe's. Great restaurants. Perfect way to decompress. All-in-all a great experience. I'd recommend it highly.

A Blue Heaven

This is a rare treat. We’ve stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts and this one is one of the best - in hospitality and accommodations - Lovely place

Upscale Coastal Comfort

Beautiful, historic Victorian B & B in a Florida beach town. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Crystal Clear pool was refreshing. Every detail was thought of by the attentive Innkeepers David & Julie Jones. Breakfasts were wonderful, too!

Beautiful Inn

Staying at Blue Heron Inn was like staying with family. The Inn is beautifully decorated, and is within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, museum and a short drive to the beach. Julie was the perfect hostess! She went out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs. The gourmet breakfasts were outstanding. The social hour at 5, in the gorgeous backyard, was a great way to meet the other guests. My husband and I highly recommend this B&B. Deltona, FL, June 2017

This was a beautiful home and the owners went above and beyond our expectations. The hospitality was amazing. The location was perfect. Very relaxing get away. Breakfast was wonderful and we loved the wine and beer at 5 each day.

Truly great stay!

My husband and I went to Amelia Island for our anniversary weekend and were fortunate to pick the Blue Heron to stay. David and Julie are super hosts and made us feel completely at home. Their service was impeccable from the happy hour each day to the breakfast each morning. We felt pampered and appreciated the entire time. They had cookies, water, and coffee available any time we wanted them, 3 or 4 course breakfast each morning, bicycles to use to tour the island, and a beautiful pool in their back yard. They truly know how to make their guests feel "at home". After visiting many b&b's over the years in many different areas of the country we highly recommend this one to you.

Can't wait to get back!

My husband and I are repeat visitors; we are already booked to go by in the early fall. Every stay is relaxing and enjoyable. We love visiting with the Inn Keepers, David and Julie. Breakfast is always delicious. We also like spending time at the afternoon social hour, with fresh fruits, cheeses and other snacks, along with wine or beer. It's a nice chance to meet the other guests, or just relax after a busy day. David and Julie know the area well and always offer great dining recommendations.

Best First Time B&B Experience
