We booked a night to spend after going to Red Rocks. It was a little pricey but I would come back again. It has an old town feeling with the old building and cottages. There are somethings that could be updated, like the window on the door and one window next to the tub. ( Peaking palace cottage ) but other than that I had a blast with my wife. This place is beautiful in its history charm. They have amazing art work in the main building and a cool patio to hang out on. They even provided a ride up to Red Rocks. I will diffidently be coming back! Even more amazing that they are 420 friendly!!
Thank you all for a very memorable stay. The staff was very warm and friendly from checking in to our last breakfast. We could not have asked for a more friendly and accommodating staff. Oh my gosh, the food was fabulous and fresh and tasty each morning. Great time was had by all!
This was mine and my husband's first BnB experience and it was fantastic! The inn sitters were very hospitable and very nice. The inn was kept in very pristine condition and was very cozy. We searched for many months for the perfect BnB and The Dove Inn was everything we expected!
My husband and I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast, but our experience at the Dove Inn completely changed our views about b&bs! When we first arrived we were welcomed by a friendly innkeeper where he gave us a tour of the living space as well as our room; the Serenity Room. In the morning we had breakfast; the first morning was an egg, cheese, and bacon bake, yogurt and homemade granola, and assortment of fruits as well as muffins and the second day was quiche, yogurt and homemade granola, assortment of fruits and strudel with a variety of coffees, teas and juices, both mornings were amazing! The Dove Inn is also close to everything in downtown Golden. Our stay was perfect and we will definitely be visiting the Dove Inn again!!

Beautiful house. Beautiful Garden. Milan is a great host. We arrived there around 4 after a whirlwind 4 national park hiking/camping trip and were looking forward to this evening of relaxation. We were given a tour of the house, the grounds, the room and the parking spaces. We needed assistance with distances and good dining options within walking distance and we got to browse our picks from the binders full of suggestion on the computer before we headed out. Breakfast was sumptuous. Milan is an excellent chef and it shows in the spread that's laid out at the start of the day. There is a sign up sheet with your "expected" time of arrival for breakfast. It keeps the table less crowded, I suppose. We shared the breakfast hour with three couples with various dispositions from Holland. There is a dog park across the road. The Capitol, 16th Street Mall, Jagged Mountain and Ophelia's (highly recommend them both) are within reasonable walking distance from Queen Anne's. It is in a historic part of Denver, so the exteriors of most of the houses on this street have retained their old-world charm. We stayed in the Fountain room in the main house. With 5-6 large windows there was a good breeze and we didn't have to turn the A/C on at all. You have a view of the park from the room. A couple of things to note: 1. It IS an old house, and it CREAKS with every step you take. The people above us (probably had an early flight and) decided to pack / walk around / leave at 5:15 AM. After having been out till midnight the night before, that was a downer. 2. The toilet in this room is on the upper level of a two step platform. So, it makes for some awkward maneuvering when you try to sit on it, especially if you have long legs that now extend to the lower of the two steps! We would definitely return... probably to a different, higher level room.
Stayed here for a concert at Red Rocks, so the location is perfect. Not to mention, it's very cozy and includes a great breakfast. I love smaller places where you can get the individual service that you just can't get at a hotel.
The historic setting, antique furnishings, and hospitality of the inn keepers made the week's stay perfect. The highlight of the accommodations was the breakfasts each day! There's plenty of areas to meet for that evening bottle of wine before heading out to great restaurants within walking distance. Definitely will return for our next trip to C Springs.
We stayed two nights over the Labor Day weekend - renting about 1/2 of all the rooms at Highland Haven as a "resort" stay for our extended family and to celebrate the wedding of our only daughter in nearby Evergreen. The rooms were great - all of the key out of town guests were impressed! The place was close enough for everyone to get together - particularly for breakfasts - and gathering in the main open room. Tea and cookies - even happy hour drinks in the evening made it special. There was enough privacy to get away from the crowds back in the rooms as well. Evergreen is very close -easy to walk - and the wedding venue was very close by. We took all our photos at HH because it was so beautiful and close - even the lighting was better. Overall a wonderful event - we will certainly return again.
Love, love, love the setting, the comfy rooms, happy hour snacks and the yummy breakfast! Service is always beautiful, too. I'm just a tiny bit worried that HH may be catering so much to the young wedding crowd that it will lose its classy atmosphere. Big red metal heart with padlocks is an eyesore along the creek and kind of junky gazebo and carved stumps are just a bit too much. And really loud post-wedding breakfast crowd was a detraction. One guest apologized to our party for how noisy they were while we were trying to enjoy coffee and our delicious breakfast. We really love this place and hope it is not giving up on its appeal to older visitors and those seeking a peaceful respite from the city.
Our stay at The Dove Inn was great! Roberta was really friendly and she prepared a wonderful breakfast for us and the other guests. She also had some really nice "homey" touches. We loved having the smell of fresh cookies to come back to at night. The Dove Inn is also in a fantastic location, and we were able to explore almost all of Golden on foot. Our room was clean and quiet, and had everything we needed and wanted. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the inn and in Golden.
We stayed one night and had a lovely time. Close to Red Rocks Amphitheater. We attended a concert there and spent the night after at this lovely place rather than drive home. Very friendly staff and beautiful place to stay!
Elizabeth was an outstanding host during our stay. The property was quaint and warm and is located right in the middle of all of the things we wanted to do in Golden. Book early and choose the Aspen Suite - a very spacious room with a super sized tub!
We came from Pennsylvania for a wedding. It was our first Time being off the east coast. This bed and breakfast was so charming and the beds were so comfortable!!! Breakfast in the morning was delicious!! We even had two deer that slept behind our hillside cottage which was fun to see!'
Judy and Dennis are warm, funny and gracious hosts. Breakfast each morning was thoughtful and delicious. Judy made gluten free dishes for guests who requested the same, but we all ate them. B&Bs are our preference when traveling and this was one of the best we have ever stayed at.
We did not know what to expect in this quaint little town but we fell in love. History, charm, friendliness, great food, walking distance to everything! Would stay there again. Elizabeth made us very welcome and her breakfast was amazing, not to mention the warm afternoon cookies!! We loved this location and would highly recommend it well worth the value!
