The B&B is in an ideal location, being only a block away from the Metro Woodley Park station. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. All of the staff was warm and friendly. I do no know if this is true of all the rooms, but our room had only one or two open/accessible outlets, and only two prong. This was not a huge issue for us, but one of those things you don't notice until you do. I only mention the two prong in case someone out there requires all three. Definitely not a deal breaker for us at all, it's a lovely house. We really enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff and owners were very accomodating. All my questions were answered and I was given lots of suggestions for trips and sights to visit and how to get around the city.

I would have given five stars in all categories, but my computer would not allow me to give anything higher than four stars. I was on business travel and did not want to stay at any of the big hotels because they just do not feel like DC to me. The Woodley Park Guest House is in a gorgeous neighborhood where people live, it is literally steps from the Red Line, and it is across the street from the wonderful tulip garden at the Marriott. There are decent restaurants within easy walking distance (especially the District Kitchen on Connecticut Avenue). The only room that was available was a single on the third floor, with a shared bath. The room was small but charming, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. It was a bargain, too. Breakfast was great! Not the fancy kind you usually get at B&Bs but 1,000 times better than the "continental breakfasts" you get at motels. And fun to chat with the other guests and Courtney.

I had a wonderful stay at Woodley Park Guest House. It was just a block from the metro in a very nice neighborhood. Everyone was just as friendly and nice as could be. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. My room was lovely. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast and look forward to a stay in the future!

Great hospitality, cosy room, very convenient location. Just the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy. - Nevertheless: Warmly recommended!

This is a great place to stay! The staff could not be more friendly and helpful, and Courtney and Joe are great hosts. I have now stayed at this B & B twice, and look forward to doing so again. It is also so close to the Metro, that getting around from there is easy. Gail

Woodley Park Guest House was the perfect place for us to stay when we visited Washington in October. Warm welcome, wonderfully comfortable room, delicious breakfast, great company and beautiful décor. The subway was close, as were a selection of restaurants - do go to the newly renovated Lebanese restaurant nearby....great food! Courtney and Joe should write the manual on how to run a great B & B!

Efficient, friendly, spotlessly clean and good value. Wifi and great breakfast a bonus and convenient location. Exceeded my expectations.

Immaculate rooms were furnished with antique furniture. A light breakfast is included with choices including salmon and capers. Antique beds are not as large as today's versions, but they were very comfortable. There was a friendly helpful atmosphere. This was a great find, and I was the envy of colleagues who spent triple the money to be at the next door conference hotel. I had the included wifi and yummy breakfast they wish they had received.

I slept great and felt so comfortable at Woodley Park Guest House. It is in a wonderful location by excellent restaurants and an easy walk to the zoo, Dupont Circle and the Metro. It is a lovely Bed and Breakfast where the staff makes you feel most welcome.

A lovely place in a great location with easy access to the Metro, cafe's and neighborhood walks.. Easy to navigate DC from this spot. Comfortable, clean and lovely place. Good company around the breakfast table. The owners were charming, well-informed people who were on site for breakfast, were gracious and informative hosts making everyone feel at home. I will stay there again

Everything was wonderful - great location, service, and food. My only complaint is that the house was rather warm at night and I woke up frequently as a result.

In the fall of 2008 and of 2011, I stayed at Woodley Park with a grandchild while touring Washington. The location near Metro and multiplie restaurants and the amenities are top-notch--exceeded only by the friendliness of the owners and staff. The guest host is a very welcoming place

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, I found the quaint B&B a very nice experience. Great location to access restraunts, hotel conference locations and very easy access to the Metro. The staff & owner (Courtney) were friendly, informative and helpful. It's incredible how Courtney was able to remember all the guests names. Everyone appear to be very comfortable their. Their breakfast were very well laid out. The local breads & fresh fruits were a hit, but really enjoyed their coffee. Even though some may find the lack of TV's an issue, I found that it gave me time to go over work related things or read a good book without disturbances. They had a nice collection of reading material and a few board games for guests to enjoy. My room was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom was well stocked and both bed area and bathroom were very clean. Much cleaner than chain hotels. Access to very good restraunts in the immediate area was a treat. I would definitely recommend Woodley Park Guest House to anyone wanting to stay at a great B&B in the Washington DC area. Thank You Courtney & Staff for a very comfortable stay.

Woodley Park Guest House is a great place to stay whether you're on business or pleasure. The cozy atmosphere, quiet location, and high-speed internet make it a great "office away from home" for travelers, and the convenience to local D.C. attractions and friendly staff make it a must for vacationers. I was here for business (and a day of pleasure) and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Although the inn keepers were very nice and the location was excellent to see DC, this bed and breakfast felt more like a small hotel than a charming place to getaway. The rooms were starkly decorated with no TV. It really was a bed (very small one at that) with no breakfast. We would have filled our tummies better at a choice hotel.

I was attending a major conference that was being held across the street at the Wardman Park Marriott, but there were no available rooms when I went to make my reservation. That was the best thing that could have happened! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Guest House. It was such a nice break to get away from the conference atmosphere while still being close enough to easily participate in conference events. I will always stay here for this conference.

My boyfriend and I purchased the weekend stay through living social for our valentines getaway. We live in VA, so it was more of a "stay-cation" but we couldn't have been happier! It is a wonderful location, so convenient to activities is the city, and the staff was fantastic! Kelly especially made us feel so welcome, and the B&B itself makes you feel at home! We can't wait to book our next stay!!

I've stayed in several Bed and Breakfasts in the past and this one by far has been the best. The owners are very visible and are great at getting the conversation started over complimentary breakfast. I definitely recommend Woodley Park Guest House. Thanks!

Warm welcome from Kelly and owners. They remember you from your first stay and make you feel at home. It is a great location in DC, close to the Metro and easy access to the sites, museums, etc. Though the rooms are small they are very nice.

The rooms are cozy and well furnished. Everything is immaculate. The quality of the food was excellent. The staff is friendly, caring, call you by name, and always inquire how your day was. Without a TV or radio, we read books and talked (go figure). This is not a place for people who want to be anonymous because the congenial atmosphere is part of the appeal. Guests are become acquainted and enjoy breakfast together. The delightful owner is there almost everyday and very helpful if you need sightseeing or dining suggestions.

This B and B is very nice but I was very disappointed that there was no Internet access in my room. The website made it appear that all rooms had access. I think they should clarify that (I had the one room that did not have access!) I also think a nice touch would be to provide bathrobes for the rooms that have a shared bath. That said, the room was very comfortable and the staff friendly.

One of the best B&Bs that we've ever stayed in! Great rooms, great hospitality, and great breakfast, particularly the pomegranate in the fruit salad!

As a B&B owner myself, I am very critical of hospitality service. The Woodley park Guest House is one of the best B&Bs I have stayed at and certainly provided the best "hotel" experience I have ever had in DC. Not only is the Inn immaculate, the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, the owners are present each morning for breakfast, and the neighborhood is outstanding...great for quiet walks away from the hustle and bustle of the city. For conference attendees, The Guest House is conviently located just a 15 minute (and beautiful) walk from the Washington Hilton and is right across the street. I can't say enough good things about my stay at this B&B. M. Johns

We immediately felt right at home in this well-situated B & B. The owners made every effort to give gracious hospitality, especially in our last two days when my husband caught a cold. We were able to get a cup of tea at any time, and those homemade cookies in the afternoon were better than medicine. Our downstairs Room 106 was spacious and light (three windows—no "basement" feel at all), the bed and pillows comfortable, and the good-sized desk accommodating to our work needs. The METRO station elevator was just a few steps down the street, and a block away was the entrance to the National Zoo. We found the pricing to be competitive and fair. Breakfast included cold cereals, freshly cut fruit, organic breads for toast, muffins, and hard-boiled eggs. Just right for us. You'll enjoy the warm welcome here, enhanced by the interesting conversations around the breakfast table.

I loved my stay at Woodley Park! The staff and innkeepers were so friendly and helpful and I had many interesting conversations at the breakfast table. I also feel that it's important to mention that as a young woman traveling alone, I look for warm and safe environments to stay, which was exactly what I experienced at this guest house!

It's a really very nice house, the owners are very friendly providing you the "inside information" about the city. It is just next to the metro station so the transportation is very easy. Rooms are big, clean and stylish.

Very comfortable and in a great location close to metro station. Friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant. AND less expensive than the discounted rooms at the hotel across the street where my convention was being held.

Courtney and Joe immediately make you feel special. The welcome is warm and helpful. The rooms perfectly clean and maintained to the highest standard. The breakfast round the large dining table is a great place to meet and find out about some great places to visit in Washington. Short walk from the metro gets you into the centre of Washington in 10 minutes. Take comfy shoes and allow several days to cover the many museums, sites and walks in and around Washington. Great place.

We stayed 4 nights at Woodley and were delighted with our stay. The location is very close to the Metro so we used the subway instead of driving. We walked to great restaurants recommended by the front desk. Delightful reception support from Kelly and Nel. There was no problem in accommodating my need for gluten free cereal and bread.

Came highly recommended by a personal friend. Met all of our expectations. We felt very comfortable. Courtney and Joe, as well as the other staff people, were very cordial and helpful during our stay. We liked the relaxed atmosphere and meeting people from other parts of the world during breakfast and sitting on the front porch in the evening. As the Metro was near by we were able to get to the DC Mall and all that was offered for ease of sightseeing in the DC area. Would not hesitate to stay there again and will recommend the Woodley Park Guest House to any of our friends who might travel to Wash. D.C.

Courtney and Joe do an outstanding and unexpectedly good job of bringing a country inn feeling to a big city B&B. In particular we look forward to the breakfast table because the conversations are wide reaching and informative every time. Some days we are so engrossed with our visiting with guests that we are late getting started on our day of being tourists. The innkeepers make this companionship happen. The rooms are very clean and well appointed and feature original art. The location is also outstanding because there are restaurants around the corner and a Metro stop less that 100 meters away. It is in the city but the trees along the street, the open lawns of the hotel across the street and the wicker chairs on the large front porch give it a country feeling. We also get to park our car and use the public transportation. I could go on..... steve hessler

I decided to stay at Woodley Park instead of the conference hotel during a recent trip to DC. I was glad I made the decision. The rooms, service, and location were terrific, and I got to get away from the bustle of the conference and yet was within walking distance of the meeting. All the staff at Woodley Park were friendly and professional and the other guests were also interesting people. Even getting a taxi at 6.30 AM the morning I left was not a problem - I just walked across the street to the larger chain hotel and they were lined up. What a great find Woodley Park Inn was - I recommended to many colleagues and will definitely stay there again when I return for this meeting.

I stayed here during my visit to a conference in DC...It is a very nice and homely place...clean , comfortable and cozy...the people are very warm and friendly and took care of me like a valued guest (way better than many hotels if you are looking for a reasonable bed and breakfast place where people are nice and friendly and place is comfortable)...

My cousin and I planned a 5 day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the city's many art museums, galleries, and special collections. A friend had recommended Woodley Park Guest House for our stay. We are so grateful for this recommendation. Woodley Park was perfect in every way. First, it is conveniently located a few steps from the Woodley Park Metro Stop. Owner Courtney Lodico and her staff are warm and welcoming. They provided us with many useful tips on mastering the Metro and on finding small neighborhood restaurants (Woodley Park has many including Italian, Friench, and Afghan) where we could not just eat but dine. All were excellent. Above and beyond the call of duty, owner Courtney Lodico drove us to the Kahlil Gibran Memorial Peace Park on our last morning in D.C. Last, but certainly not least, Woodley Park is immaculate. The breakfasts were simple but satisfying. We met travelers from around the country and the world.

We were staying at one of the large convention hotels in the area (an annual trip for us) when I spotted this charming guest house nearby. We have stayed here every year since and intend to continue to do so. The innkeepers are pleasant and personable, the rooms bright and well-kept, the continental breakfasts delicious and convenient. We wouldn't consider any other spot for our week in Washington.
