Tidy, convenient guesthouse

I really enjoyed this guesthouse. Its in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the Metro and the Zoo. Jack is a wonderful host and was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was simple, but good. My room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Loved my stay at Kalorama Guest House!

I loved everything about my stay at the Kalorama Guest House. Jack was an amazing host. The location couldn't be beat, especially for the price. The value was outstanding. My room and the restroom was clean and well-kept. I literally loved everything about my stay here. I will definitely stay here again if I am back in the DC area!

Good stay

The location of the Kalorama House couldn't be better. It's a short walk from the Metro and just down the street from a string of great restaurants( in fact if you can, check out the Lebanese restaurant). Jack is super nice and accommodating, and helped us navigate the area. The house is old and moderately well kept, but clean. Breakfast was just okay. We have stayed in many B&Bs whose breakfasts were creative and outstanding. This just filled you up. Dairy on the coffee bar isn't well kept (sits on top of lunchbox ice packs) and on the second day, the creamer was curdled in our coffee. For the area, the rooms are really affordable. Overall it was a good stay.

Very home-like

This is a clean, friendly place to stay. Well located to public transportation. Jack, our host, was particularly helpful.

Great Place

I have stayed here several times and wouldn't even look for anywhere else in DC. Jack provides a home from home with a living room, one big dining room table and tea, coffee, snacks available all day long. It's easy to meet the other guests and make friends. Location is also excellent - near the metro and a range of restaurants.

Location, location, location

This is the place to stay if you want to immerse yourself in a NW D.C. neighborhood. Several restaurants/cafes/bars are within walking distance plus the zoo and two metro stops. We were immediately welcomed upon our arrival and made to feel at home.

Another great stay at the Kalorama guesthouse!

For the last several summers our business requirements have presented a trip to Washington DC. Each time we go we look forward to staying at the Kalorama guesthouse with this host/owner Jack. His attention to detail and gregarious nature always add to the enjoyment of these trips. We Harley suggest you take it vantage of this opportunity when traveling to this region.

Another great stay at Kalorama with Jack.

The Kalorama Guest House, owned and operated by Jack Shrestha, is a gem in the heart of our nation's capital. My wife and I have been guests at Jack's place for quite a few years and always considerate it the first priority to secure a reservation when knowing that either business or pleasure are going to take us to DC. The warm and consistently friendly atmosphere, the homey ambience and more than ample breakfasts make staying with Jack a pleasure as opposed to a sterile hotel.

Charming B&B

Very kind and friendly host!

My Favourite place to stay in DC / Bethesda

I first selected this inn due to it's location near the red line on the metro. It's really easy to get around. The inn is in a great neigbourhood with a fine italian resraurant just minutes away and more choices a little further. The room I've stayed in (same room each time) is comfortable and perfect for one person. Breakfast is fantastic and when you get back at the end of the day, wine and cookies will greet you in the lobby. :D
