Having enjoyed a great time there for a couple of nights last summer, we returned last Sunday and Monday to try the spring experience and celebrate our wedding anniversary. As usual, the southern New England weather was iffy, but it did not rain, and temperatures were comfortable. The Inn was delightful, and we watched down the hill as boat owners busily were preparing for the summer season. We also had a nice exploratory drive on the back roads in the area. The innkeepers directed us to a couple of very nice restaurants for dinner, one in New London and the other in Niantic.

Loved our weekend getaway at this lovely, welcoming b&b! Warmly received and very accommodating during our stay! Great innkeeper suggestions to dine and play with our group of friends! Would definitely go back when in the area! Debbie and Chris

I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts. This place is absolutely beautiful! From the extremely helpful staff and hosts to the well equipped rooms and marina. The staff's attention to detail is second to none. I would totally recommend this b and b to anyone and pray we get another chance to stay again!

Though I stayed here over three months ago, I cannot stop thinking about what a wonderful time we had and we were only there for one night. Before even arriving, I spoke with Elizabeth and she solidified it for me. She was beyond friendly and answered all the questions I asked prior to reserving. Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and greeted. The woman whose names escapes me was amazing. She briefed us on the property, showed us to our room "The Nautilus" in the Clark House (Beautiful room with a picturesque view) and gave us the run down on the neighborhood, what to do and where to eat. We explored the neighborhood that afternoon and the morning after. As it was off season, the place was very quiet and peaceful which we really loved since we are from New York City, so it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. All in all, everything was just simply perfect ... down to the french toast by Diane who was literally the sweetest person ever. Thanks to Dave & Sue who we got to meet when we were leaving and everyone who helped to make this stay a memorable one for us :) - J&J 10.14.16

I love the Harbor Hill Marina in Niantic. I've been going there for about 14 years ! I've been there for all the different seasons over the years. I go at least 2 or 3 times a year. The Inn is always beautifully decorated, warm and inviting ! The Innkeepers, Sue and Dave, are always welcoming. I've known them for so long - they're like family - and they treat me like family, too ! I love the older house on the property. It's cozy, comfortable and quiet. The views of the Marina are beautiful any time of the year. I love the town of Niantic, too. The Main Street Grille and Charlie's Place are 2 of my favorite restaurants. I often go to the Niantic Cinema. The Inn is convenient to Mohegan Sun and Mystic. It's right off I-95, too. If you haven't booked a reservation at the Inn, I suggest you do it right away ! You'll never forget your stay and you'll want to go back ! Lois S - Brooklyn, NY

We booked the Mystic Seaport room for a 1-night getaway. The bed is set up at just the right height that you can take in the view without having to get up. There were nice little touches like an electric fireplace and a CD player all set to go with a classics compilation. The innkeepers were super friendly, breakfast was good, and the night of our arrival there were fresh-baked brownies downstairs. What more could you want?

I am the meeting coordinator for a group of senior executives from my firm and we all stayed at the Inn. I didn't get to fully enjoy the comforts of the Inn due to my work schedule; however, my husband and young son got to know the staff and enjoyed their breakfast each morning - the pistachio bread and Challah French Toast were a hit (they even shared the recipes with us!). If you are looking to really relax and spend time getting to know some folks, or just pop in and out per your schedule, this is a lovely place to do it. I felt my family was looked after while I was away and when I came back to the Inn, everyone was so calm, friendly, and helpful that I felt my stress level drop immediately. I hope to visit again and next time will make sure to leave work behind.

What a great find for my 60th birthday getaway! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. We arrived a bit early and were immediately charmed by the homey, quaint atmosphere. Greeting us with a big warm smile was Elizabeth who made us feel right at home. She was very accommodating and gave us the complete tour. Our room was the icing on the cake. We had our very own private porch, properly appointed with two large rockers and small table. Definitely one of the best views in the house. The room was perfect. Soooo cute and amazingly clean! I don't know what they wash the linens in but did they smell wonderful. The dinning room was right off our porch and we took advantage of the early morning offering of coffee bringing it back to our room to relax and enjoy before dressing for breakfast. Breakfast was a buffet which included cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, juices and some excellent deviled eggs. (I want the recipe) There was a choice of two entres, scrambled eggs or French Toast made from challah bread, both served with sausage. The tables overlook the marina, what a pleasant way to start the day. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Dave and Sue as they were away at a conference. I think they might have been there the morning we left. Even though we only stayed one night we felt like we had a week long vacation. It was so relaxing. We left vowing to return and maybe next time with friends! Rm 9 Dave & Cheryl

The inn and our room were perfect for our quick getaway. Our view of the marina was so relaxing and beautiful even on a rainy day! The accommodations were extremely comfortable , enough to notice a perfect night's sleep. We mentioned this to Dave and he concurred that they have received many positive comments. The innkeepers are experts in running the inn. All on their staff were lovely from check-in to check- out! Sue and Leigha were very attentive to us at breakfast which was delicious ( pumpkin French toast and many other choices)! The inn is beautifully kept. We hope to visit again!

Once in a while, when taking a break from every-day life, you come across a hidden gem (hidden in plain sight). The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is one such example. Recently, my other half and I were looking for a special get-away place to create some fun memories and to try our hand at bike riding again. We came across a biking package offered by the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. It did not take us long to be convinced to book the package - not after checking out the Inn's website and seeing pictures of the beautiful grounds and the lovely rooms. In fact, all the rooms looked fantastic, which made it difficult to select just one. We opted for Room # 7 Mystic Seaport. We believe guests would be happy in any of the well-appointed and very clean rooms. But if you want a really special time, # 7 will not disappoint. I doubt I can fully describe the wonderful views from your own private balcony. As for the package, well, everything we would need was ready for us when we arrived - nothing was missed. What a great time we had getting back in the seat. And all the little touches that were included in the package just made the experience even more memorable. Beyond the lovely grounds and charming inn, it was the very friendly, helpful hosts and staff that made us feel like we were family and not strangers visiting - starting with our hosts Dave and Sue. We can't thank them enough for all they did to make our stay an incredible experience. They wholeheartedly opened the doors to their 'home' and made us feel very welcome. I can't remember a visit to another B&B that made us feel quite like they did. And a shout out to the great staff members (Nicole and Diane come to mind) who cook up some very tasty treats for the yummy daily breakfast and help keep the inn in wonderful shape. Again, thanks to you all for an incredible time.

We spent our 63rd anniversary at this marvelous inn. We can't thank Sue and Dave enough for making our stay so enjoyable. They were always willing to accommodate our wishes. The inn and grounds are kept with loving care. The room was so comfortable (great mattress) and overlooked the water. Champagne and flowers were romantic. Great breakfast. Thank you again for a great anniversary.

We spent this past weekend at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary, for the 3rd straight year. We just can't say enough about this place. Sue and Dave and their staff have become more like friends than just innkeepers. They are some of the most kind and personable people we've ever met, and all go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. The breakfast every morning is superb, and we love eating out by the water. This place is so beautiful, we never get tired of looking at everything. There's so much to do in the area, and Dave can always find you something new you haven't done before. The only bad thing about this place, is having to leave. Can't wait to go back, hopefully in the Fall.

Just returned from two night stay. The Inn is truly home away from home. Owners, Sue and Dave along with the entire ensure every need and want is met. Rooms are immaculate as is the entire property. Breakfast daily is a real treat and there are drinks and small snacks available throughout the day. Location is on marina which gives beautiful views and nice breeze. Plenty of outdoor seating. If looking to venture out the beach is a five minute drive (the Inn provides passes, chairs and umbrellas). Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Highly recommend.

My brother and sister in law got my husband and I a BedandBreakfast.com Gift card when we got engaged, which we ended up using for our honeymoon. We researched places near NJ so that we could drive somewhere, but also feel like we were getting away. Upon our research of places to use our gift card, we stumbled upon the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. It was so beautiful and serene feeling, which has now imprinted an everlasting feeling of nostalgia for my husband and I. Our room had a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the marina, soft cozy bathrobes, and after our outings during the day it was so nice to come back to the inn with cookies awaiting. Since we were exhausted from our wedding night, we slept in a couple of the days, and made it to breakfast one of the days (felt we had to being a bed and breakfast). Everyone was so nice, and the tables were set u so that you could have a friendly conversation with people staying there, the innkeepers, or by yourselves, and I loved taking a walk on the marina afterwards! We feel fortunate to have received most of our stay as a gift, to have this experience and lasting memories. We hope we are able to revisit our memories of this lovely time here soon again!

My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary here, our first visit. The Inn is charming inside and out. The gardens around the grounds are beautiful. The Innkeepers Sue and Dave and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room had a balcony and faced the marina, we are early risers so we enjoyed sitting and watching the fishing boats to out. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee cake and a hot dish. Wine and beverages offered to guest and hot baked cookies at 7pm. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it another night. We had a wonderful , enjoyable and relaxing stay. We will be back.

My wife and I celebrated our summer birthdays with a 2 night stay. This was our second stay at the inn. We stayed in the Captain Clark House, Room 14, which has a private balcony overlooking the marina. With two rockers, cool breezes and complementary wine, we were more than relaxed. The CCH has been beautifully decorated by Sue, with a wonderful attention to detail. Breakfasts during our stay was in the main house, just next door, and consisted of a service bar with fruits, pastry, yogurt, juices and much more. Then you are served a wonderful hot dish. We had an excellent omelet our first morning and light, delicious ricotta pancakes the next. The innkeepers, Sue and Dave are extremely friendly, as is the rest of the staff. We will definitely be returning for another stay, and highly recommend this wonderful inn.

The breakfasts were delicious and Sue and Dave the innkeepers as well as the entire staff made you feel like family. The place was immaculate, quiet and the beds were very very comfortable. How could you not love a room (number 7) with an electric fireplace, two lazy boy reclining easy chairs, a large balcony, a super comfy bed and seven windows and a sliding glass door all overlooking either Niantic Bay or Long Island Sound. We have stayed previously in their Captain Clark House and it was wonderful but this year wanted to try the main Inn and we were VERY happy with our decision. It is, very simply, just a warm, welcoming and cozy place staffed by people who obviously enjoy working there and the owners, Sue and Dave are just a pleasure to know and spend time with. It is. No wonder that this Inn is ranked among the very best.

My Wife and i stayed one night in the Oriental Room. What can i say, from the moment we walked into the homey sitting area, we were greeted with smiles and help. The Inn is neat as pin, you can see the pride in ownership in this place, from the outside Gardens, and sitting areas, to the sitting room and bedrooms. Clean and very comfortable. Great water pressure. The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is THE place to stay. close to many destinations. The breakfast and dining area were excellent, fresh fruits, a warm and tasty main dish or, the quick items if you're on the run. The View from the dining area was very nice as well. we enjoyed our stay and Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is on our list for the Connecticut area. I stayed by myself in Orient Point the three nights of Labor Day weekend. My time there was very relaxing - although the inn was full, my room was quiet day and night, and wonderfully clean as well . Breakfasts were delightful - a hot "entree" was accompanied by a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, juice, etc. The water views were fine, and there were all manner of outdoor places (shady or sunny, wrought iron or wood, plus the porch with cushioned chairs) from which to enjoy them. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This was easily the most satisfying bed-and-breakfast I have ever stayed at.

Lovely inn with many places on the property to relax and enjoy the scenery. Our room faced the marina and was clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was delicious and the inn keepers friendly but not intrusive. Cookies and wine offered to guests. Easy walk into town or around the harbor. My husband and I stayed at the Inn the weekend of 3/19-3/22/15 to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. Sue and Dave were exceptional hosts. They make their guests feel more like family and are very helpful in providing ideas and places to explore in the area. We stayed at in the newer Captain Clark House in Room 13, The Nautilus Room and it was just lovely. Although it was pretty chilly most of the weekend, including snow, we did manage a short sit on our balcony on Saturday afternoon enjoying the sun's visit and a glass of wine while viewing the Niantic River and the Long Island Sound. The breakfasts served each morning were so delicious and the service couldn't have been better. The entire staff are friendly, warm and very accomodating to all of their guests. This was our first experience with a B & B and we couldn't have been happier. So much so, that we are now booked in June so that we can further enjoy this lovely inn and the beautiful Connecticut shore towns.

My wife and I recently stayed there. The room was very nice and clean, and the view of the marina from our room was splendid. Even though it was winter and the boat dock was empty, the view was spectacular. Make sure you wake up early enough to see the sun rise. I took a picture that most of my friends think came from a post card. My wife and I want to return in the summer to see the marina and go to the beaches near by. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. The french toast is to die for :).

Such a gem to stay here for the Christmas holiday. Just a 1/4 of a mile from my son and grandchildren. Wonderful to come back to a cozy clean room with a warm gas fireplace and a beautiful view of the docks and Niantic River. The bed is wicked comfortable. No stone went unturned here. Great home made breakfast or a choice of a lighter side. Good conversation to go along. In the evening fresh baked cookies in the lobby, water, soda or a glass of wine. How sweet is this!!! Will be returning next Christmas without a doubt!!!

Dates of Stay: Oct 2nd – 12th 2014 We very much enjoyed our 10 day stay at Harbor Inn B&B this past October. We stayed in the Captain Clark house in room #14 Barque Eagle (worth every penny). I would best describe this B&B as an awesome boutique hotel. The room has the ambiance of a cozy seaside cabin setting on the Atlantic. Plenty of room with a setting area that includes a gas fireplace, pillow top king size bed (very comfy) and a large soaking tub bug enough for my wife to swim laps in every night. We wanted a NE location, so we could cover all of the surrounding states while catching the fall leaves changing. The Niantic CT location was perfect!!! We covered all of Connecticut and nearby Rhode Island to boot. We took the train into NYC from New Haven, CT, and another into Boston from New London, CT. Very easy traveling into the big cities all with no hassle driving in heavy traffic and not to mention expensive parking. Dave, Sue, and Pam are tremendous hosts and no detail goes overlooked throughout both buildings on property. There are walk out balconies with rocking chairs to overlook the onsite marina and harbor, this is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. They all go out of their way every morning to help plan the many day trips that are less than an hour’s drive. A job well done to all the staff and the way you can easily see that they love what they do…KUDOS!!! All of their suggestions are spot on, including where to visit, where to eat, and what to see! We tried to cover them all and we were never disappointed. The grounds are immaculate with beautiful flowers bursting with blooms, all manicured and cut to perfection. My hats off to the groundskeepers…your efforts truly show throughout the entire property. James W.

The country decor of the Inn and also the grounds outside were so pretty that I had to take picures of it all. The continental breakfast, which included cooked to order omelets that day, was served in a cozy dining room overlooking the marina. We stayed in the Captain Clark House and our room was lovely and clean, just as you see it in the pictures. We only stayed for one night, which was not long enough but will surely return in future and will recommend to friends and family.

This was our first visit to the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. It is the nicest, by far, of numerous inns and B&Bs we have stayed in along the CT coast over the years. The Inn was extremely clean and well maintained; Sue, Dave and staff were especially friendly and helpful; and breakfast was quite enjoyable (good coffee, too). We asked about local hiking trails and received directions to Mary Harkness State Park about a 10-minute drive away -- great location with hiking trails, nice beaches, gardens, and picnic/grilling areas. We look forward to a return visit to the Inn.

Staff is friendly, familiar with area and its attractions, always available to offer advice. Rooms are lovely and clean (each with a view of ocean). Grounds are beautiful. Within walking distance or short drive to many great restaurants and interesting shops and attractions. They've thought of everything. Truly a perfect place to get away and relax.

Sue, Dave and the staff are exceptional. The rooms, views and setting make it the perfect place. The grounds are kept better than most estates. I learned valuable tips from Sue and Dave about how to maintain my lawn and garden. This was our second visit and we look forward to our next one.

I took my wife away for our anniversary and was very fortunate to find this beautiful place. Absolutely outstanding in every way. Sue and Dave are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and you'll feel that from every member of their staff as well. Great rooms, each with different character (we stayed in 3 different ones) and the views are amazing. A great breakfast awaits you every morning in the dining room, and you can take it out to sit at tables overlooking the marina. Close by to so many great restaurants, wineries, private beaches, etc. You'll never run out of things to do. And Sue and Dave will surely have a great recommendation for a place to go if you need one. We didn't want to leave, and even extended our stay an extra night. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great time!! Mark & Jennifer

We had the most enjoyable time at the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. The attention to detail is amazing as we were celebrating our anniversary and a card hand written was waiting for us in the room. They also offered to help with any arrangements for dinner or entertainment and went out of their way to find a perfect spot for us. Sue and Dave are perfect hosts as well as their lovely staff. We can not wait to return again soon!

Perfect B&B. Only issue is that we can only afford the off season. We are trying to get away 2x per year instead of 1.

This was my 4th trip to the Inn. I have never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and so very helpful. I felt like I was at home. Every morning I looked forward to the breakfast selection and conversations with the guests, staff, and Sue and Dave. The grounds are gorgeous and I love the new rooms in the Captain Clark House. Niantic is a great town with plenty to see and do. I will always stay there whenever I am at the CT shore.

The breakfast is the best by far. and the staff is the most helpful and the friendliest by far. Thanks Dave and Sue for such a wonderful job . We stayed several times and counting the days until we get back there

Almost immediately, we began thinking of possibilities for another stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Literally, it has everything: comfortable rooms, great views, excellent food, and a warm and welcoming staff. We had a wonderful Lobster Lovers getaway. Our room had a private entrance and porch which overlooked the marina. We walked into town for dinner and antique shopping. The boardwalk is almost completed after several storms but is a good workout and a lovely walk along the shoreline. Our package included lobster dinner for two, tickets to Mystic Aquarium or Mystic Seaport (we did the aquarium) and two nights with full breakfasts at the Inn.Sue, Dave and all their staff were wonderful hosts. Will be returning next year!

My fiancé and I wanted to go away for our 10 year anniversary so we found this bnb on visitct.com. At first I wasn't keen on the idea of going to a bed and breakfast because I never been to one, but we are so glad we did. Inn at Harbor hill Marina is a gem in Niantic, CT. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff member vicky. She took us on a lil tour of the main inn then to the Clark house were our room was. The moment you walk in you feel comfortable and the place is clean. We will be back here for the summer. Thank you Sue and Dave for your hospitality.
5 on March 19, 2014
This was our first B&B experience, and we couldn't be happier! The property is beautiful, even in winter. The views of the marina and Niantic Bay add to the shoreline theme. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a cozy fireplace and deep soaker tub. The location is perfect for Connecticut shoreline attractions. The quaint village of Niantic is typical of small Connecticut coastal towns that have not given in to glitz. Dave and his staff are friendly and outgoing, very informative on local restaurants and things to do, and they treated us like family. We will definitely stay here again.

Would highly recommend it and plan on going in the warm weather so I can enjoy the deck and views.

Stayed 2 nights just before Christmas. The Inn was tastefully decorated. The staff and innkeepers were incredibly helpful and friendly. The view, even in winter, is amazing. The bed was a bit firm for my comfort, but we enjoyed our room (#7) in the main house. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! This was a nice little getaway and we hope to return during the summer months.
5 on January 28, 2014
My girlfriend and I booked a two night stay with the winter experience package and it was a great value. The staff greeted us warmly from the first step inside their door and were hospitable and accommodating the whole time. The room was beautiful with the view and extremely cozy, being able to see the marina from 3 sides of the room was great especially as the snow fell. Breakfast every morning was great and has a wide array of selections and the hot meal offered every morning is delicious and served by some of the most pleasant people I've experienced in any of my stays across locations. The rooms offer quiet to those around you and I would highly recommend this B&B no matter what time of year it may be. The Inn is also greatly in touch with the local scene providing menus to all of the restaurants in the area as well as any possible events that may be going on throughout the week. P.S. A great local restaurant to try out that's 5 minutes walk from the inn is the Blacksheep. Great food and atmosphere and the walk there is pleasant.

Our room was a big snug. The Queen sized bed felt more like a full, but the view was SPECTACULAR. No tub, but perfectly fine shower. Breakfast on Sunday morning was out of this world. An egg and pecan-encrusted french toast deliciousness...we ate our breakfast outside looking over the harbor and marina. Full moon above, still in the sky, with gorgeous sun warming the October morning. Staff is beyond courteous and friendly! Impeccably clean Inn. We'd definitely return. It's a true gem nestled into the Southeastern CT coast. Check out the Book Barn in Niantic while you're here. Alice in Wonderland-esque outdoor offerings of any book you'd hope to find. Really glad this place was recommended to us by friends. We'll be back!

My husband and I enjoy staying at B&Bs. Our experience at Inn at Harbor Hill Marina confirmed that. From the moment we stepped into the Inn, to speaking to the Inn Keepers and staff, to our delicious breakfast, to the variety of information available on places to see, the Inn's location, the Inn's décor and numerous other items all added to a wonderful enjoyable anniversary celebration. After speaking to other guests and inquiring about their rooms, I wished our room was more spacious. Room #2 has a lovely view of the marina, but small on size. Having said that, I would definitely recommend the B&B to anyone!

My wife of 51 years and I learned about the Inn at Harbor Mill online. The online advertising was "spot on." Our room was amazing in terms of cleanliness and size. Although we don't normally spend this much for overnight accommodations, we feel that we got more than our money's worth. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dave has researched the area considerably and developed several different detailed day trip itineraries for his guests. Each itinerary included specific recommendations for sites to see and places to dine. Sue seems to have very little time for herself. She greets each guest each morning with a welcoming smile. Apparently she also enjoys spending time in the well-kept gardens around the property. Our breakfast meal was simple but tasty. The cook seems to spend a lot of time developing the daily menu. My wife and I definititely recommend the Inn at Harbor Mill to anyone planning a visit to this area. I am convinced that you will not be disappointed.
5 on October 01, 2013
Had a marvelous, if too brief stay of only one night. The view of the river was lovely and the spacious room and over-sized bathtub were great. The service was very friendly. Sorry to say that though I put 5 stars in for the dining score, I did that because the page would not let me enter without doing so. In truth, I cannot comment on the dining as our time was scheduled for meals at other venues. But if the service and attractiveness of the place are any indication I'd bet the 5 star score up here is in keeping with that level of quality. Hope to come back again for a longer stay.

We loved the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. First of all, it looks exactly like it does in the pictures - maybe better. When you enter into the reception area it is just so inviting. We loved our room as well. We had #7 on the 3rd floor overlooking the marina. It was just so nice and plenty of room and what views!! The grounds are beautiful and well kept - Everything is really just 1st class including the owners and all of the people working there. We will definitely go back if the opportunity ever presents itself. We have stayed at several B&B's over the years and this one is right up at the top of our list.

My husband and I planned a trip to Mystic, CT for our 1 year wedding anniversary and could not have imagined staying anywhere else. This was our first trip to the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful/knowledgable about the area. They were a wealth of knowledge when it came to day trips and restaurant suggestions. Rooms were cozy and immaculate. We felt very much at home. Upon our arrival, there was a bottle of champagne and a card congratulating us on our Anniversary. What "hotel" does that? We will be staying at Inns & B&B's from now on. Anyone heading to Connecticut should look into this gem. It is well worth it....and we will be back! Thanks again, The Keisters

This was the first time we have ever stayed at a bed and breakfast and the bar has been set very high for all bed and breakfast's across the country. It was a perfect getaway. The place was beautiful, clean and everyone was very friendly and helpful. This place goes above and beyond to make your stay very pleasant. Thank you to everyone at The Inn Harbor Hill Marina for making our stay a time I wil never forget.

My daughter and I celebrated her 21st birthday with an overnight trip to the Mystic area. We happened upon The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina online and we are so glad we were lucky enough to find this gem! Normally I hope that the accommodations booked are similar to what is depicted online but TIAHHM exceeded all expectations! I intend to return as I'm certain my daughter does too! From our arrival when we were greeted by friendly, helpful, courteous staff who called us by name, showed us the grounds and the common areas, escorted us to our room ... to our morning breakfast greeted by Sue with a handshake and a smile, we felt very special, which is what time away should feel like! The only negative thing about our stay was the fact that it was only one night! You have most definitely not seen the last of me, Inn at Harbor Hill Marina!! Till we meet again ...

We had three wonderful days in Niantic. The room and hospitality at the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina were excellent, and the small touches--snacks/drinks, info on local restaurants/activities-- exceeded our expectations. It was a bit busy/loud outside our room on the weekday mornings, but the breakfast and access to beaches/kayacking was terrific. We hope to come back again!

I spent a few days doing some genealogy on my family from the Niantic area. Enjoyed relaxing in the swivel rockers on the porch. The view was spectacular. I particularly liked being able to walk to the restaurants nearby. The list of recommendations and menus made it fun to pick a restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

For a Memorial Day getaway after a tough/busy/stressful couple of months, we found the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina online. The site was appealing and the pictures attractive, and so we decided to try it, and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and fun and we felt instantly welcomed. Our room was lovely; we'd reserved Room 1 in the corner with windows on two walls, and the view of the marina was great. Breakfasts were really good, with a wide variety of choices so anyone's taste would be well taken care of -- coffee, including decaf for the asking, many varieties of tea, fruit and fruit juices, home-made granola, cereals, yogurt, bagels and muffins, and wonderful hot breakfasts too. There were also very accommodating about the gluten-free requirements of one of us, making delicious gluten-free apple cinnamon muffins one day and french toast the next. A wonderful and welcoming experience, highly recommended!

We stayed here for 1 night (a Saturday) and it was absolutely wonderful. Our room had a great view of the marina. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The only thing that I would like to see an improvement in is the shower. Ours didn't have a shower head so it wasn't very pleasant. But, the staff was all VERY nice and accommodating. They put out snacks, provided us with water and wine, and provided a nice spread for breakfast in the morning. Our favorite part was being able to sit outside on the patio and look out at the marina while we ate our breakfast. It was the most relaxing experience and I would absolutely come back again!!

My sister and I were in need of a room for one night while we attended a college graduation. We found the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina online. From the time we booked our reservation with the Inn, we found the service to be outstanding. Everyone on staff was friendly and very helpful. The Inn is impeccably maintained with wonderful attention to detail. The landscaping is stunning; the rooms are immaculate. Even the porches with their outdoor furniture are whistle-clean! We will definitely return and highly recommend the Inn as a very special place to stay. It is very obvious that the Innkeepers take great pride in their property.

My husband and I stayed a night at the B&B on our trip through New England. We were very pleased with the hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. They certainly have a bustling business and have time to talk to each guest. We were able to enjoy our breakfast al fresco which was nice since the night before it was raining. We walked all the way out the pier and enjoyed the views of the harbor and marina. I to believe we'll try and come back here again sometime. We loved it!!!

The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina gets better each time we go there. We continue to feel like we're just going "home" to family for every visit. The owners/innkeepers are all amazing and so friendly. You can tell they just genuinely care about those who stay at their inn. The breakfasts are amazing, as is the view out onto the marina while we're enjoying such great food. We just LOVE the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina and cannot recommend it enough. Words can never do it justice! Thank you for another amazing stay!!

I was surpreside by the Inn, the site is beautiful, accommodations and breakfast are great. But what worth the stay was the friendly welcome from the owners and all the staff. I had gotten from Brazil and had this nice, warm and cozy place to spend a couple of days. The food and the complimentary beverage and snacks made me feel at home.

We recently spent a couple of days at The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina to celebrate my birthday. My husband and I had never been to a " bed & breakfast" so I researched a little and came across this inn. I was excited to go, however my husband was a little skeptical. Well, needless to say, our stay there was wonderful! The innkeepers, Dave & Sue, and their staff, made sure that our weekend was everything we planned for. They were warm and friendly and gave us great ideas for choosing restaurants or any nearby activties, if we chose to do so. The room was spotlessly clean, very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast they served each morning was delicious and the conversations with Dave & Sue were like meeting up with old friends we haven't seen. It was a perfect place to spend my birthday! And oh, by the way, my husband (who was the skeptic about B & B's,) said he would definitely go back to The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina again!!
4.2 on February 25, 2013
We stayed in room 3 and it had the most beautiful view of the marina. The Inn is beautiful and well kept and the staff are great. The yard is gorgeous and I would love to go back during the spring or summer to enjoy the outdoors a bit more. We went in Feb. so it was cold and rained the entire weekend, but we made very good use of our fireplace and the boardgames at the Inn. We had the pecan french toast and it was yummy, but I would have liked more of a complete breakfast because it was just french toast and then some bakery items from the buffet.
5 on February 24, 2013
We both enjoyed our stay. It truly was a special night for both of us! Both Dick and I will be back very soon!

We really enjoyed the Inn! We received a great price for a Sunday night at this Inn. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, and we enjoyed a nice glass of wine/cup of tea when we arrived! Everyone at the Inn was friendly and helpful. The view from room #1 was spectacular! We would stay here again. Robin and John Ziemba

Come as strangers, leave as friends!!! Melissa and I came to this quite little town not knowing what to expect. She and I both have full time jobs and we also have five children. If we are not running to one of our children's activities we are driving a school bus or protecting and serving. Our stay at the Harbor Hill Inn was exactly what the Doctor ordered. The owners and staff were so pleasant and accommodating, they made our stay as if we've been coming here for years. Melissa and I appreciate the hospitality and look forward to saving up for our next B&B stay. Thanks again to Sue, Dave, and their staff. Respectfully, Melissa and Matt.

My husband and I have stayed at the Inn at Harbor Hill several times. Each time we leave we are planning our next visit. This last trip there was during the Blizzard of 2013, the way that Sue and Dave took care of all of our needs and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable was amazing. They are both so outgoing and friendly..they make you feel like part of their family!! This trip was the first time we stayed in the Captain Clark House which is absolutely beautiful and I look forward to staying there again in the near future.

The hospitality of Dave and Sue was exceptional. I felt so comfortable with fireplaces and serene views of the marina from my windows and balcony on all three sides. The delicious breakfast in the morining as well as making sure I was comfortable at all times. Their staff was also wonderful personally making me chocolate chip cookies for my room and the friendly conversation. I can't wait to go back again. I will remember it always.

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn at Harbour Hill Marina several times. It is a great place to get away from daily stresses and relax. There is always something to do, and on our first trip, we took the Train and Boat ride in nearby Essex. Since that visit, the Inn has added a new building that retains all the charm of the original B&B, but offers some more upscale amenities. We watch for specials that make an already affordable getaway even better.

My husband and I booked a last minute get-away to the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina for our first anniversary, and will absolutely return. It was perfectly delightful. Our room was spacious with two easy chairs in addition to the bed and a food prep area with mini fridge. We had a private deck overlooking the marina, and had a few fun rounds of Uno which we found in the closet. The fireplace kept the room toasty warm through-out the night, and the homemade breakfast provided by the staff in the morning was delicious. We will happily return.

What a lovely surprise! The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is a gem on the Eastern Ct shoreline. Hidden away, with gorgeous views, I recommend the off-season for both the value and serenity. I stayed on the first floor with private deck, gas fireplace and comfy bed. Clean and lovely! Breakfast lovingly made by the Innkeepers themselves, the most light and delicious waffles, accompanied by fresh fruit. Good coffee. A brief, but wonderful time at Harbor Hill! Thank you!!!!!

Sue and Dave are real hosts and take pride in their inn for good reason. It exceeded our expectations for bright, clean, comfortable rooms with WiFi but still retaining that seashore charm. The service was excellent with sue and the staff checking all the places for hours and hanging in there to make reservations for us at tough restaurants. We looked at many inns and chose this one and will do so again.

What a wonderful Fall getaway! We had two nights lodging, tickets for the Steam train/boat ride and $50 towards dinner. The Inn is spotless, the grounds, impressive, room with a great view, thick towels in the bath, great snacks day and night, wine, beer, tea coffee anything you could think of all available to you. Dave was a great host.Dave had the best suggestions for places to dine, things to see and do,just a fountain of knowledge. He made it a point to greet everyone at breakfast, ask where they were from, etc.Lyn and Maureen were also very helpful during our stay. The only negative thing I have to say is: on our first morning,we went down for coffee at 7AM. We walked into the kitchen and I asked Lana if we were too early for coffee. She ssh-ed me! It was almost like a slap in the face, after everyone else had been so nice and helpful. I felt like a two year old who was being ssh-ed for talking when not spoken to. It may seem like a little thing, but to me it actually ruined my morning and had me wanting to avoid her at all costs.

My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon. I don't think we could have chosen a more beautiful and relaxing location. The view of the Niantic River just beyond the beautifully manicured grounds was just perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful and giave us a feeling of being part of the family. My wife and I will surely be back for another stay.

This was our 1st visit to CT. We couldn't be happier with the inn's grounds and staff. The view from our room and the front yard was beautiful. We loved just sitting on one of the bistro tables listening to the music that surrounds them, and sharing a bottle of wine. We highly recommend the inn!

We stayed in the Mystic Seaport Room #7. It was fantastic to wake each morning to a beautiful view of the boats in the marina while watching the sun rise. A water view from every window. Loved sitting out on our private balcony enjoying the sunshine, relaxing on the many Adirondack chairs scattered throughout the grounds and walking the docks. Everyone was so friendly and helpful in planning our excursions. Looked forward each evening to a glass of wine and fresh baked cookies. Loved smelling the scones and muffins baking in the morning, but expected a little more at breakfast than just scrambled eggs or french toast. Maybe a breakfast meat or egg casserole. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

When you think of a typical B&B, you don't visualize the luxury that the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina has to offer. Jay and I stayed in the Nautilus room the evening after our wedding and it was absolutely stunning and wonderful! Warm, friendly, comfortable & romantic! We will come again!
3.6 on September 07, 2012
liked the aproximinity to marina, watching the sun set sitting in big adirondack chairs with wine glass in hand. very relaxing. I did expect better breakfast: simple scrambled eggs is too plain for B&B- add ham, bacon, veggies etc. The French toast was delicious and so was the fruit. My grandson enjoyed his daily hot chocolate

We absolutely love this place! This is our second year back. We enjoyed our stay so much in July that we are coming back in August. Sue and Dave are amazing. We arrived a little early and they were quick to offer us beach towels and beach passes. We've stayed in both the main inn and the Captain Clark House. They both have their strong points.....it's tough to say which is better. There are many restaurants and stores within walking distance. You will not be disappointed staying at this Inn. Did I mention the incredible view....breathtaking!

My husband and I are putting off our honeymoon until next year, so after the wedding last weekend (8/4) we decided to stay and this bed and breakfast. For our first time saying at a B&B it exceeded our expectations. Not only was the staff extremely welcoming and helpful, the owners were wonderful. Our room was perfect and the views were amazing. We were sad we were only staying that one night. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Shh! Don't tell anyone. If word gets out then I might have trouble getting a room the next time I want to sneak out of the city and remember what it's like to be human. The smell of fresh cookies, the view and the people. Here hospitality and customer service is not good business practice, just Sue Dave & the staff being the friendly nice people they are. Oh breakfast is good. I think I relaxed too much! Remember don't tell your friends or there will be a line to get in. My first B&B and this Chg-NYC girl is hooked. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. We were greeted by a friendly staff who gave us a tour of the Inn and answered all of our questions. The Inn was very clean and well kept. When we got to our room there was a card and bottle of champagne waiting for us, as we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff was very helpful and offered a lot of advice about local restaurants and attractions. We enjoyed eating our breakfast out on the porch and looked forward to the freshly baked cookies waiting for us each night. The Inn was fantastic and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

I recently visited the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend. When we got there we were greeted right away and taken to our beautiful room. We went with one of the lower priced of the rooms, but it was still very luxurious. We stayed in the Captain Clark House (the Inn's latest addition) and it still smelled brand new! The bed was large and comfortable, we even joked that we wanted to take the spare pillows back home with us! It was very relaxing to wake up to a delicious breakfast each morning, especially the homemade 3 Berry French Toast! The grounds of the Inn are very well-maintained, decorated with beautiful flowers. There were plenty of comfy Adirondack chairs to lounge in on the property too. We were both really impressed with the staff. Each person we made contact with was ready to help us with anything we needed. They recommended great places to visit for both lunch and dinner (The Otter Cove in Saybrook is a must visit!) and gave us a list of activities to do as well. We found plenty of nice places close-by to explore, along with the beach that we got passes to as part of the package deal. The beach was also very nice and within walking distance. The weekend we went it was especially hot so we drove and the Inn gave us passes to park as well. The first night we were at the Inn I proposed to by girlfriend in the beautiful gazebo located outside by the marina. Once the staff found out the next morning they were happy to take photos of us and they were so excited to be part of this step in our lives. I would recommend going to the Inn at Harbor Hill to anyone, and I look forward to going back there one day soon!

We're a sailing couple and were looking for an ideal getaway by the water. Niantic, CT is the perfect testimonial and the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is the perfect place for us to stay. Excellent hospitality, very well kept. Will definitely return.

This was our first visit to CT and a B&B in this area It was far above our expectations. The attention to detail at this inn was impressive. Everything was meticulously maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our view was just like the picture in the photo!! Sue suggested several places to dine and she hit a home run out of the park with the choices!!!! I still taste the Lobster Bomb!! Thank you making our stay so enjoyable.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary several weeks ago and were absolutely blown away at what an amazing, tranquil, and beautiful place we arrived at. We were greeted with warm smiles and our very own bottle of champagne in the refrigerator! We stayed in the Captain Clark House, room 13, and were exceptionally pleased with our room. The balcony was such a treat, particularly when we were able to enjoy breakfast on it our last day. The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is just far enough from downtown Mystic that you still get the beautiful New England charm, but none of the hustle and bustle. We always say we will never visit the same place twice, but I think we might just need to make an exception. Thanks again Sue, Dave, and Pam for making our stay so very memorable. Mike and Ashley

After returning from a cruise docking in Boston, we stayed at this beautiful inn on the way home for a few days to unwind. What a perfect finale to our vacation. The innkeepers Dave and Sue, were very welcoming and friendly, as were the rest of the staff. The breakfasts Miss Lana prepared were delicious! We stayed in Room 5, which was warmly decorated and had a great view of the harbor. The gardens were beautiful. The wraparound porch and adirondack chairs on the lawn were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view, while listening to the lovely music that was always playing. We look forward to a return trip!

we have visited several b&bs in several states, this b&b ranks at the very top for cleanliness and attention to detail. the innkeepers were friendly, courteous, and attentive but not intrusive. there were itineraries, available from the innkeepers, for various day trips to interesting towns and activities in the niantic area. the town of niantic itself was a small, quite, peaceful new england town, not at all commercialized or busy. the town folks were friendly and cordial. we visited several other towns in the area during our stay, we recommend the gillette castle state park, the dog watch cafe in stonington burrough, and the main street grille in niantic. if you visit the inn at harbor hill you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend. The service is top notch, the rooms are wonderful, and the location can't be beat. The innkeepers could not be more accommodating if they tried. Breakfasts were delicious. We will be back again and again!

We just stayed two nights at this B&B and it exceeded all of our expectations! It was just over one hour driving for us yet when we were there it seemed like we were so far from home! The grounds are gorgeously maintained, the view priceless and the relaxation factor off the chart! We are looking forward to revisiting Sue and Dave in the near future. This little gem is in walking distance to multiple restaurants, short drive to Mystic Village/aquarium/seaport and the two Ct casinos. It was nice too using some of our B&B gift certificates for our little get away. I highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina and can see why they are award winning.

This B&B is perfect in every way: clean & comfortable accomodations with a magnificent view, warm hospitality from Sue & Dave, and a delicious breakfast to send us off on our way. Harbor Hill will be our Inn of choice anytime we visit SE Connecticut. Don & Carol 6/24/12.

This was my boyfriend's and I's first time at a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gave great places to go out to eat and things to do. The room was very beautiful and very clean. It was nicely decorated with a great view. I loved the breakfast buffet in the morning. The food was very tasty! I liked the fact they offered the sweet treats and the wine during the evening. We are definetly coming back again.

Although we just spent one night there in late May, it was the last of 6 bed and breakfast inns on our week-long trip, and we naturally compared them. The attention to detail at this inn was quite impressive. Everything was meticulously maintained. The grounds were perfect, guest room was perfect, the hosts provided detailed directions to whatever activity interested us, but did not intrude on our visit. The weather was not perfect but we highly recommend a stay at this inn, no matter what the weather.

We stayed four days at this wonderful inn. The rooms are beautiful. I don't know if it was being right on the water, but everything sparkled! Inside and out. The beds were unbelievablly comfortable. I slept like a baby. The grounds are meticulously kept. The flower selection with contrasting comfortable white adirondack chairs was an extra bonus. We loved the cocktail style tables outdoors overlooking the harbor. The view on the harbor at night was great...the water acted as a mirror for the lights on the distant shore. You must try their breakfasts and any restaurant recommendation. The owners have put a lot into knowing what the great vs. Ok restaurants are. What makes this such a special place is the staff...that makes this inn one of the best of the best. They are very caring and friendly and accommodated a gluten and dairy allergy. I provided the fixings and they cooked it beautifully. Made me feel very much a part of the rest of the guests.

The room was lovely with a great view of the harbor. The weather was too cold to sit on the balcony, but it looked very inviting. Pam made us feel very welcome and took care of all our needs, including helping us find a wonderful dinner restaurant. The breakfast was very good with several choices. We would have very much liked to have met the owners, but maybe it was because we had to catch an early ferry. We would love to come again!

I found the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina on the internet. The photography was very enticing and can often be deceiving...but not this time! It was a clean, friendly and beautiful place to stay and we were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and those ricotta pancakes rocked! I will happily share my experience with all my friends and you can count on seeing us again.

Found this B&B through the the newsletter. This was an outstanding experience. The room condition was pristine with a gas log fire and a large soaking tub. It wasn't easy to go out and do things. The owners and there staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Niantic is an old sea port town with easy access to Mystic and New London. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are delighted to say so. Lyn & Arthur Sultan New Canaan, CT

Looking for a shoreline location we could enjoy while our apartment in Hartford was being prepared during a relocation from the Midwest, we took advantage of a Monday/Tuesday night winter special. We were rewarded with not only a cozy room and fun view which helped us relax and reconnect with each other. Meeting Sue and Dave and the other innkeepers was an added bonus. Breakfast (Dave has nailed his new recipe for cranberry scones!) was great both days. Niantic is a delight, with light dining fare like lobster roll at Skippers (Yummmm!) or, for a nice sit-down dinner, the Dog Watch in Stonington Borough is hard to beat. We'll be back!

Took advantage of the winter specials to introduce extended family to the charm of this B and B. We stayed in the suite (room 9) and the 2 balcony rooms in the main house. Charming decor, water views and very clean. Several available restaurant/pubs within walking distance and complementary, fresh baked cookies and coffee/tea/wine at the Inn on your return. Innkeepers Sue and Dave are friendly, welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge of the area and can offer many suggestions for day trips. Wasn't our first stay and won't be our last. Steve and Jane

My husband and I needed a getaway after a very stressful couple of weeks. We researched nearby B&B's (within two hours of our home town.) We came across The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina and loved the fact that it was right on the water, this was it we decided. Sometimes the pictures on the web are taken in such a way that they are deceiving and the B&B appears much better than in does in person. This was not the case with The Inn. What you see is what you get, actually the Inn looks better in person. We had a truly remarkable stay, the innkeepers Sue, Dave and Pam were extremely helpful, knowledgeable about the area and the breakfasts were amazing. You have to go when Pam is making her Praline French Toast - OMG! The view from the room was amazing, we had room 5. The only drawback was that I stayed awake late and got up earlier than usual just to admire the view and take plenty of pictures. The Inn is amazing and my husband and I are already planning a trip back in the Spring and we already have decided that we want one of the rooms with a balcony. You will not be disappointed with this Inn. By the way, my husband and I only stay at B&Bs, never a hotel, so we have been to many, many B&Bs, this rates right at the top.

We spent 2 nights at The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina on Jan 10th & 11th. Our room(#7) had an amazing view of the marina and bay. We had beautiful weather and were even able to enjoy the porch with beautiful rocking chairs right off of our room. The Innkeepers were simply the nicest people to ever provide customer service. We had a wonderful breakfast provided by Pam and were welcomed to help ourselves to beverages in the fridge including wine, iced tea, coffee and bottled water. They also had fresh baked cookies for us shortly after we arrived. The feel of this Inn is comfort. It is clean, the room was spacious and the people taking care of us went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. All of the suggestions they provided for food and shopping were spot on. I have NEVER written a review regarding any place I have stayed- good or bad, but this place just that good. You want to go home and tell everyone to go because no matter what time of year this is a great place to stay.

We recently took advantage of the inn's reduced rates and stayed for two nights. Everything was wonderful. The room had two chairs for reading and cozy fireplace. Everything was beautifully appointed and clean. The hosts even supplied holiday CDs for our enjoyment. The breakfast was great...a delicious hot meal accompanied by homemade goodies. Loved the area: lots to do and see, good restaurants and a movie theater that shows one movie, just like the old days....no cineplex! Go--you will love it.

Our stay at the Inn at Harbor Hill was quiet, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Our room [#9], with a fireplace, was well appointed with a queen sized bed and 2 reclining chairs. In addition, there was a mini-kitchen including plates, glassware and silverware. There are amenities galore! Fresh cake/cookies are always on hand as well as beverages, cocoas, & wine. Dave, Sue & Pam are a wealth of information about what's going on in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. I have yet [in more than 6 visits] have someone say "I don't know". Rooms are tastefully decorated with either queen size beds or king sized beds. The rooms with king-size beds have soaking tubs! Already thinking about our next visit to the Inn.

We stayed here to attend an event nearby, but the Inn nearly stole the show. The beautifully appointed and thoroughly clean rooms, harbor views, and wonderfully quiet ambiance made us want to linger here and enjoy the fireplace in the room and the easy sociability in the common areas. Breakfasts were tasty if uninspired, but in no way detracted from the enjoyability of the stay.

We're already planning our 3rd trip to the Inn in February. See you then!

Talk about special touches...this place nows how to treat their guests. Wine, soda and water available at no extra charge. Fresh baked cookies made available in the evening. One of the innkeepers, Pam, was the sweetest. She made us feel welcome the moment we stepped into the main building. Room #14 in the Captain Clark House has the best views of the harbor. Can't say enough about the room. From the large soaking tub to the fireplace, everything was perfect. They even folded our pj's for us when the room was made up while we were out for the day. I can't say enough about this b and b. It is definately a place that we will visit again.

Our room was in the newly opened annex next to the Inn. Everything was new and fresh of course but I missed the anbiance and charm of an older inn. The boatyard was next to us so we saw and heard the hustle and bustle of taking the boats out at amazing speed...that was interesting... The staff and owners were wonderful. Beautiful harbor but would have liked a more happening location within walking distance. Niantic is quiet.

We just got back from an wonderful, comfortable stay at Inn at Harbor Hill and we believe we were truly "hosted." We were made welcome and we felt catered to, without being overwhelmed. Sue & Dave are gracious and warm innkeepers. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to this inn and its success. This inn is actually almost on top of a large marina so the views of the water are awesome. The rooms were clean and quaint, albeit pretty small. I've stayed at other inns which were the same price which had huge rooms - but no view. So, you're gaining a view and giving up size. The food was fine - nothing crazy out-of-the-ordinary but certainly good. They didn't provide gluten free dishes that I requested but no matter. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful, but I noticed this more toward the beginning. The owners saw us, but didn't bother to make our aquaintance, which was okay - just noticeable. The assistant was very helpful though. Overall - I'd definitely recommend the place. Also they're adding another part of the inn which looks fantastic. Certainly one of the best inn settings you'll ever get.

The Inn is the cleanest, prettiest B & B I've ever stayed in. The hospitality was incredible - everyone was so nice. Everything is within walking distance or a really short drive. Even though it rained, it was so enjoyable to cozy up and drink tea, read, relax, listen to music, look out at the marina. It was so romantic to spend our anniversary there. We will definitely be coming back again!! Thank you to the whole Harbor Hill staff!

We have been coming to the Inn for 10 years. Why? It's not cheap and there is no grand restaurant. The reason why is that we are always made to feel at home. The Innkeepers and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. We have seen just about everything to see in the area but they always come up something new. When we need quite there is a chair on the lawn or a warm fire to soothe us. This is a very special place with a special staff. We wouldn't dream of trying another. Charlie and Ginny Bambino

We went to Connecticut for the first time to celebrate our special anniversary weekend. What a charming area, with plenty to see and do. Our accommodations were superb, and our room came equipped with a remarkably comfortable bed and a scenic view of the Niantic River. We stayed a total of 2 nights, and awoke each morning to a variety of breakfast items, both hot and cold. While the overall meal was outstanding, the absence of a protein was a disappointing. Even so, the freshly baked afternoon cookies were a welcome treat. The staff were very friendly, and we really enjoyed conversations with Dave, Sue, and Lynn. We also very much appreciated the innkeepers providing us with champagne to celebrate our anniversary unexpectedly, without charge. They really went above and beyond to make our stay special and comfortable. Thanks for a great time! We recommend this inn to others.

Breakfast was wonderful looking out at the boats. Just wish the weather was a little warmer, but maybe next year will be better! They made us feel at home and had some wonderful treats like the home made cookies at night. Really special place to go with lots of sites to see close by. Can't wait to come back. This was one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time!

My wife and I needed to escape the snow-covered hills of NW CT and we headed southest, all the way to Niantic for a memorable two-night stay at the Inn at Harbor Hill. Sue, Dave and Lynn were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The breakfast room is bright and sunny and lends itself toward conversation with other guests, as well as the owners. The weekend hot entrées were delicious and appealing, but one could not go wrong with the rest of the breakfast buffet offerings either, including the fresh fruit. Our room – the Little Gull Island lighthouse room – had windows on three sides, giving us a beautiful, panoramic view of the Sound…and the morning sun. Our room’s fireplace helped ward off the late night and early morning chill on this March weekend. The room, and the entire Inn for that matter, are carefully maintained and spotless, with great attention to every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine and snacks at night and appreciated the local restaurant recommendation – Smarty’s – a casual dining spot where we enjoyed a delicious dinner of broiled seafood, prior to heading to Mohegan Sun for a concert. The weather was still a bit too cool to walk along the nearby beach, and this is just one small reason to return in warmer times. Dave and Sue are a jovial and loving couple who seem to truly enjoy being your hosts…and we can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable weekend.

Called the inn at the last minute and was relieved to get a reservation. When we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and full of information. The inn is spotless clean and the room was perfect for an over night stay. Our room had views of the water and the sun came in the window in the morning. Nice way to wake up. Breakfast was delicious as well as the coffee. Coffee is important! The innkeepers were so warm and friendly, and we also met three other couples to share stories with at breakfast. We had gone to the Mohican Sun for a concert and this worked out well and was literally half the price. Thumbs up!

We stayed at the Inn for a girls weekend in January and took advantage of stay Friday night and pay half price for Saturday night package. We all arrived at different times and were met and given a tour of the property immediately. We were able to walk to area restaurants and found their restaurant book with suggestions very helpful. Our room looked out over the Niantic River and even in cold January it was beautiful. Both mornings we were greeted by the owners and given a wonderful breakfast selection with fresh made pastry, fresh fruit, cereals, bagels, strata, special granola etc. It was all very well presented. We traveled off to visit IKEA, the Norwich Spa and Mohegan Sun and the Inn provided to be a great base for the adventures. I was amazed at how quiet the Inn was all weekend even though all the rooms were full. It was fun to chat with the other guests over breakfast but at the same time we felt like we had the Inn to ourselves. I would be remiss not to mention the fresh baked cookies that are left out each evening..a real treat. I would definately return to the Inn a Harbor Hill.

My husband and I found this gem of an inn last year and returned this year for our second annual visit. "Outstanding" is the word that best describes so many aspects of our experience. The rooms, common areas and outdoor areas are clean and kept up with many touches that add to a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The minute you walk into the inn, the common area and pantry immediately give off the comfortable feeling of " a special home away from home," with many personal touches that invite guests to linger. In addition to the awesome smell and availability of homemade baked goods, there is always an array of teas, coffees, and wine set out for the guests to enjoy - and great background music that plays continuously to boot. The innkeepers strike a perfect balance of giving guests the privacy needed to enjoy a weekend away, but also making each person feel relaxed and at home. They are also on hand to help personalize a vast array of day trips and activities during the stay- and have much of this information set out for guests to look through as well. Maybe the best part of the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is the terrific dining room and breakfast. The atmosphere and view of the harbor are outstanding, as is the delicious homemade meal. Our room, facing the water, had its' own private entrance, porch, gas fireplace and kitchenette. The deals on the rooms, as well as the creative packages that often include other amenities and activities, are a great value. Between the atmosphere, the value, and outstanding service, we highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina, and will continue to return for our annual stay.

Great time at the Inn. Lovely accommodations, with well-kept, beautifully decorated rooms and warm and inviting common areas. The Inn has a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, along with a beautiful view of Long Island Sound. A delicious breakfast set us off on our day very satisfied, indeed. Also the included little perks, such as cookies, water & soda and even wine, made our stay even more wonderful. The staff of Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is also exceptional. The Innkeepers, Sue and Dave, and Pam, couldn't have been more delightful. Especially nice was their willingness - and patience! - to allow us to change the date of our stay several times, when we encountered a couple of unexpected kinks in our plans. All in all a fantastic experience. My wife and I have already booked a second trip for our anniversary. And we can't wait!

This inn is an hour ride from Hartford. A beautiful scenic bed and breakfast with a great location. You can always take a short trip to a casino, winery, Mystic, or a nice walk. The view is extremely relaxing and the inn keepers the best!

what a peaceful spot, even during the winter snowstorms. The hospitality was wonderful, you felt right at home. The food was wonderful, including the delicious treats warm out of the oven in the evening when you can back for the night. Sue, Dave and Pam do a wonderful job and we can't wait to return during the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor space.

The owners are really good hosts, the staff is very friendly and helpful and full of info on the area. We had one of the best steaks ever at a local restaurant that they suggested we go to. The view from our room was excellent. We'd go back again for sure.

The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is a hidden gem on the Connecticut shore. The room was incredible with three walls of windows and a balcony with a tremondous view of the harbor. The hospitality at the inn was outstanding and the value was unbelievable.

Everything was just more than what we expected. Me and my wife stayed one night over the Xmass weekend, and we just loved it. The decor, the atmosphere, the location, the food (breakfast at the inn, and the restaurants in the area); everything was awesome. We were treated with a wonderful breakfast; freshly made french toasts and the buffet. The inn keepers are hospitable and loving and it seems they love their work. The rate was good for the off-season and weekday (Thursday), though it gets a little pricey for the summer. But then once you have visited the place, and experienced it yourself, you feel its worth it. Definitely going back in summer

This past weekend we stayed for the first time at the Harbor Hill Inn in Niantic. Despite rain & wind that were hurricane-like, the inn was a warm and comforting harbor from the storm and owners Sue & Dave made us feel welcome, as if we were family. We were celebrating my Mother's birthday and I think it was such a wonderful experience that she and my step-dad, won't soon forget. At breakfast we talked and laughed with Sue, Dave and some of the other people staying at the inn. It was a great time and we are already planning our next trip there. I can't imagine how lovely it must be in the warm weather! Enjoy!

Breakfast was below our expectations. Breakfast consisted of packages of Quaker Oats oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, store bought speciality breads, fruit bowl with strawberries cut into minute pieces-absolutely not ONE thing home made or hot. The only hot items were those that we put into the toaster. Management touted home made cookies in the afternoon: cookies were store bought cookie dough baked in the oven, ie. break and bake.

We arrived and were greeted warmly and openly by the staff. It was so great to walk in to a place after a long(ish) drive and instantly feel like you're visiting someone's home. We were shown all of the complimentary offerings (mmmmm wine and snacks) and our rooms (the linens and towels were so freshly laundered they were so soft and smelled divine). When we woke up in the morning, we got to eat the most fabulous blueberry french toast and breakfast spread outside in the beautiful sun overlooking the marina-would we come again? ABSOLUTELY! P.S. a quick thank-you to the staff who were so warm and gracious--it takes a lot to do what you do, and we wholly appreciated every bit of it!

Just arrived home from a 3 day weekend spent at Harbor Hill Marina and wanted to give our thanks and make a recommendation. Harbor Hill provides a great setting in combination with great service and a clean atmosphere. We had a very small wedding (2 of us, JP and photographer), the details and the support in helping us with coordinating the service was outstanding. We will wihtout doubt return and recommend that others enjoy time their as we did. Thanks for a great weekend. Ryan and Kim Stouffer

My thoughtful and loving husband gave me a weekend stay at the Inn at Harbor Hill as a Christmas gift. We had a nice quite two days of rest and relaxation. We walked along the shore line of the Long Island sound on the boardwalk and then through town to go to a pub and the movies. The in was quaint with simply decorated suites and a relaxing atmosphere. At twilight the sound of seagulls and gentle waives lapping against the docks helped us transcend from our busy lives into a respite of calm. This was a perfect gift of piece and quite with a touch of charm.

Just a short drive from our Rhode Island home, this Inn was perfect for a relaxing weekend away from chores, ringing phones and children. Our Stonington Harbor room was lovely ...we especially liked its panoramic view of the water and all the boats wrapped in their white winter garb. Our package included a lovely dinner and two tickets to the Mystic Aquarium which we haven't toured since our kids were little. Sue and Dave, the innkeepers, are both warm and easy to talk to. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of coffee and more than enough to satisfy any appetite. As a place to run away to, the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is perfect.

If you are looking for scenic, serene, peaceful and quiet then the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is the right place! My daughter and I were looking to stay somewhere on the water between Boston and New York, wanting to do a lot of nothing much but with nearby choices of spas and fun activities if we spontaneously chose to do something fun. The inn was quiet and very clean, picturesque and lovely. The room was immaculate, the bedding soft, with a nice choice of books, board games and videos as well as wine, soft drinks, pretzels and cookies if we felt like a late night snack. We enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for us! Thank you!

Beautiful setting. Well kept grounds. Rooms neat/clean and comfortable. One of the BEST B&B's we've stayed in. Dave and Sue are very hospitable and easy to carry a conservation. They have good ideas for activities within the area. We are enjoying the special recipe book they have for sale with their staff's special dishes they serve. The Granola Recipe IS yummy!

This is the kind of B&B that my husband would love! As a sailor, he loves meandering about boats, and the view of the marina is spectacular. I awoke in my room to sunrise over the marina - a peaceful and stunning sight. I was traveling alone on business when I stayed here. I wanted to stay at a B&B where I would feel safe. Dave and Sue are so welcoming and accommodating, I immediately felt at home. They offered wine, biscotti and fresh fruit, upon arrival. Home made cookies were offered after dinner too. Yumm. The inn is an easy walk to Niantic's shops and restaurants. There's also a lovely boardwalk that allows you to walk along the water too, and it's just steps from the inn. The rooms are cozy, clean and inviting. I really enjoyed the fireplace and view from my room (#5). The wi-fi signal is strong, so there was no problem working from the rooms too. Breakfast on the porch was a treat. There's nothing like enjoying a steaming cup of coffee while rocking in wicker rockers and watching the boats come and go. Priceless. I'd highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina to everyone whether traveling on business or pleasure.

Wrap-around porch, great view, extra-friendly guests, wine & chit chat about your day in the evenings. Harbor Hill Inn is the most comfortable and relaxed inn I've ever stayed at and based on the conversations at breakfast and in the evenings on the front porch I'd say everyone staying there felt the same. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities. And you can walk to the beach and in to town! Sue & Dave are hands-on owners & so welcoming! I will definitely be back.

The Inn always has the best breakfast. If you go away hungry, it's your own fault. The rooms are always clean and well kept on a daily basis. The employees and owners are very friendly and willing to guide to best places to visit. I'll never forget our first visit with the horse and carriage ride. The people that had the carriages had a history behind each carriage in the barn. We loved it. The massage was great, too!!!!!!! The candy and wine was really nice to find in our room. What a way to spend an anniversay and Valentine's day.

Sue and Dave at Inn at Harbor Hill Marina have elevated the bed and breakfast to an art form. This beautiful inn has only 9 rooms, most of which I have seen, since my extended family and I rented all of them for my wedding weekend. All the rooms are very clean and comfortable, some with balconies overlooking the bay. The first thing you notice upon pulling into the parking lot is the impeccably landscaped lawn, complete with gazebo and adirondack chairs, set against a New England backdrop of nautica and boats docked in the harbor. This is what drew me to the hotel the first time I saw it - I imagined us all hanging out on the wraparound porch, catching up and enjoying the scenery. Upon stepping inside, the next thing you will encounter is the wonderfully cozy common "living room" which feels about as far from a hotel lobby as you can get. We spent a great deal of time here just relaxing on comfy couches and visiting. When you check in, the innkeeper will take you on a short tour and show you all the secret joys the place has to offer. My favorite was the guest hospitality area: fresh cookies that are put out every night as well as a refrigerator stocked with iced tea, wine, beer and water. There is also a desk with binders full of local activities and games to borrow for an afternoon diversion. Breakfast in the splendid dining room is another treat. Gorgeous natural light filters in through the glass front doors while you enjoy a tantalizing selection of pastries, breads to toast, fruit, cereal, etc. beside views of the water. The innkeepers are warm, helpful, and attentive without overwhelming you. A huge part of the enjoyment of my wedding was having all my family together and knowing that everyone was so pleased with their accommodations. We are already talking about our next trip to the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina!

My husband booked a weekend stay here for my 40th birthday. What a surprise! The Inn was a million times more beautiful, cozy and immaculate then I could have ever expected. Sue, Dave & Janice made us feel as if we were home. From the beautiful room and views to the home made cookies at night...how could it get any better. I will tell you....the homemade breakfast buffet in the morning is to die for! I had to buy the recipe book just so I could make the dishes for my family. We will DEFINITELY be return customers! I am also going to send my parents here for my father's 70th birthday. My husband scored major brownie points finding this bed & breakfast.

I gave my parents a weekend stay at the Inn as a gift, and the following monday I received a phonecall from my mom absolutely raving about this place. She said it was wonder, comfortable, scenic, the food was great, the attention to detail was amazing. And that they had the best valentines weekend. (20minutes later with my mom still going on about how nice it was and how great the atmosphere was) i figured that it must have really been nice, and that's what prompted me to make this review. If you're looking for a fun, laid back, relaxing weekend, this is the place to go.

What a beautiful spot on the marina- quiet, peaceful, tranquility with a view. Our balcony room allowed us to relax by the fireplace, listening to music, while moonlight glistened over the water for us to enjoy all night long. A last minute bargain allowed us this opportunity (We had a discount rate from bedandbreakfast.com "hot deal' LOVE THEM! We mostly travel on deals!) Continental breakfast was plentiful, but we really enjoyed a hot breakfast when at a B&B. Still, we loved our overnight stay. Nice hosts!

What a wonderful last minute getaway we had! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy all that the inn had to offer. I called for a last minute reservation on Saturday night for a Sunday reservation and was delighted they had a room for us. It was our second wedding anniversery and plans came together for us to getaway for the night however we both had to work in town(we're locals!)at 7:30 Monday morning. We checked in around four and were very warmly welcomed by Sue and Dave. They recommended a few local restaurants a few blocks away as we were planning on a movie downtown as well. The Inn is perfectly located to suit a variety of interests. We walked to the new irish restaurant on a beautiful fall night, stopped in a used bookstore, and saw a movie all within a half mile of Harbor Hill. We arrived back at the Inn to fresh baked cookies waiting on the counter! The bed and breakfast is tucked away on a side street that overlooks the beautiful Niantic Bay. Our room had a spectacular view of the moon over the water and the sunrise in the morning! We can't wait to visit again and stay longer!

Words cannot describe our first B&B experience at The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. The Innkeepers, the locals of Niantic and Mystic and even the "touristy traps" were very warm, friendly and eager to make our stay the very best. The pictures are great but being there in person to feel the sun, smell the air and experience the "New England Fog" will make you want to book your reservations early for next year. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our return.

We came for the weekend for our 20th anniversary. The inn is beautiful. Not a thing out of place. Beautifully manicured garden, amazing views of the sunrise over the marina. All I said all weekend was, I could live here forever. The inn was immaculate, the innkeepers were lovely and very knowledgeable. It could not have been better. Thanks for a memorable weekend.

Date of our stay was June 2008. Inn at Harbor Hill is a wonderful place, from the moment we drove in we knew this Inn was special. Colorful flowers and a well manicured lawn w/wonderful wraparound porch. Our room was perfect, confortable and we were most impressed with the clean, neat and tidy appearance of this Inn. Easy access to all attractions, and helpful and pleasant staff. This is on my list of places to revisit. Dave and Sue and staff were easy going, friendly hosts.

My husband surprised me with a stay for our 25th anniversary. It could not have been a better surprise or more romantic. Our room overlooked the Niantic Bay and was absolutely beautiful. The room was cozy and had its own bathroom. Sue and Dave welcomed us on Friday and helped make our stay wonderful. They suggested places of interests and restaurants. The breakfast each morning were delicious and plentiful. I know we will be back for another stay.

We're only an hour away from home, but we felt like pampered family members who just happened to own a retreat by the sea. We even got up to watch a sunrise from our own balcony!

I have found the perfect place to relive all my wonderful childhood memories of Niantic. We have already visited the Inn 5 times and will be coming back this summer. As a matter of fact, our relatives from Houston can't live without coming to the Inn at least once a summer. The porch is a favorite with the four of us and we spend many hours relaxing, enjoying the view of the water and the boats. We also love the kayaks available and usually paddle into Smith Cove to view where my parents use to live. What a treat! Dave and Sue are very hospitable and we have become old friends after 5 visits. Can't think of a better place to stay then the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina.

Sue,Dave,Pam and the rest of the staff have always gone out of their way to please each guest. I can't say enough except Thank You,Friends

This was our first stay at a B&B...and thanks to Dave and Sue, defnitely will not be our last. Thank you for an amazing time and all of the helpful advice...you truly made our stay memorable. We needed a night to get away from the stress of reality...we definitely left reality and stepped into a dream world...AMAZING!

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for everything you did to make our stay in your Inn a splendid experience. Our only regret is that our stay was far too short. We felt as long-lost relatives who have been welcome home with open arms. Everyone in our family deeply appreciate your efforts in making our daughter's wedding day, a very happy, cheerful and memorable occasion. We hope that in a not to distant future, we will have the privilege to visit with you again. We are taking this opportunity to wish you a nice Thanksgiving as well as a very happy Christmas Holiday Season.

This is our first experience at a B&B. After spending hours searching the Internet for accommodations in the area, we chose The Inn at Harbor Hill. Talking about hitting the nail on the head. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. My wife is a clean fanatic and I like things in order so as a team, our friends consider us experts (more like fanatics) in this field. Dave, Sue and the staff were very friendly and informative on just about everything in the area. The mid-week breakfast, (bagels, fresh baked breads and muffins, cereals, yogurt, fresh mixed fruit, juices, coffee, tea and more was outstanding. They even have snacks throughout the day along with soda, bottled water, iced tea, beer and wine. You couldn’t ask for anything more. Being from the Valley Forge Pennsylvania area, it is a bit over a four hour drive for us., I am not one for driving that distance for a short get away but after an experience like this, the drive is well worth it. Thanks Again Dave, Sue, Pam, Janice, Wendy and the rest of the staff. Brian & Marilyn Carr

I recently stayed with Sue and Dave for a family wedding. It was absolutely a wonderful experience. Great accomodations, comfy beds, great food. Dave knows a great place to see for every day of your adventure. You will NOT regret a stay at the Inn at Harbor Hill... the sunrises over the marina alone are worth the trip.

We just returned from a couple of days away that were absolutely wonderful. The innkeepers Sue and Dave are super nice, friendly people who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door until you leave. My husband and I walked in not knowing Sue and Dave and left gaining two new friends. Our room (#7) provided such a beautiful view of the harbor and marina, and also a wonderful view of the sun rise in the morning. We are both looking forward to returning in the spring and being able to sit out on the balcony. We were provided with a wonderful breakfast each morning. We were also given great dinner recommendations. The amenities offered during our stay was great and truly added to making us feel at home. Knowing you can just get a hot or cold beverage and a snack at anytime during the day is nice. In the evening a "sweet dreams" dessert was waiting for us each night making for a nice ending to a wonderful relaxing day. Both my husband and I are looking forward to our return visit in the spring as we both thought your B&B was absolutely super terrific.
