We were looking for a place for a quick weekend getaway and was so happy I found Fitchclaremont Vineyard Bed and Breakfast. Nora and Warren were wonderful. Such lovely people and was so accommodating. Breakfast was just abundant and so delicious! The best part was walking around the 30 something acres of land in the snow with my sister-in-law and to find a bottle of wine in your room. Sweet wine for after breakfast and just sitting in the sun room relaxing looking out into the vineyard was just what we needed for a wonderful weekend. Rooms clean and spotless with lots of windows so the beautiful morning sunshine shines right in to greet you! Definitely will be back. Thank you Warren and Nora!

Lovely setting, wonderful hosts, fabulous food. Our room was very comfortable with a great view of the vineyard. What more can we say? One of the best B&B in CT. We will return. Tom & Nancy, Ottawa, Ontario

The rooms are as lovely as the photos show. Nora and Warren are extremely warm, and very interesting people. The house is kept beautifully clean, and it really feels like home. The highway is right there but you don't even hear it / you feel like you're in a time warp back to yesteryear, and the grounds are pretty. Super convenient (Foxwoods is a short ride away). The absolute best part had to be the breakfast - all home made. Highly recommend.

This is not our first stay here. We have stayed at other B&B in CT. This is the best one we have stayed with. We are treated like family. Great welcome when we arrive and as well a bon voyage when we leave. The most comfortable beds and extremely clean rooms. You almost feel bad about messing up the bed covering. Breakfast is delicious and inviting. You are invited into a beautiful sun filled room that overlooks the grounds. It is like looking out over a living painting, that is how perfect it is. Rain or shine, the atmosphere is always wonderful. We will return! Tom & Nancy, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

While dating my husband and I used to go here for a week end or some overnights. We returned recently, 20 years later, and enjoyed the same ambiance we had so long ago and were really happy to see the same owners, Warren & Nora who are delightful hosts.

The keepers were very welcoming, the rooms very comfortable and clean with ample space. Breakfast prepared by Nora was delicious, and the expertise on vineyards and wine production from Warren was captivating, as was the wine itself! I definitely plan on returning with my wife, and we both agree it was an experience that couldn't be beat for the value. - Phil and Britt

We really enjoyed our stay at the vineyard. The owner and vintner was friendly and knowledgable. Our room was clean and relaxing. Felt like home but better. Wish we had more time to learn about the vineyard and the walk the grounds some.

First time at this beautiful B&B. Food was outstanding and the owners couldn't have been friendlier. Getting a tour of the vineyard proved to be very informative.
5 on August 27, 2015
We loved staying at Fitchclaremont Vineyard B&B. Nora's breakfasts were amazing and were served in their beautiful sunroom. We even had wine with breakfast! Warren took us on a very informative tour of the vineyard, then we got to sample several of his wines right out if the barrel. The bed, bath, and the room were very comfortable...we even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The B&B was close to all the places we wanted to visit: Mystic and the casinos! We will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine sitting outside viewing the beautiful scenery of the vineyards, provided by our hosts Warren and Nora. The accommodations were very nice, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area and would recommend this Bed & Breakfast. Bruce and Cindy

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Fitch Claremont just to get away from Life for a bit. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room, a lovely, clean bedroom with an enormous bed - perfection. Nora's breakfasts were delightful and plentiful. Warren's love of their vineyard and the pride in his wines was obvious. The views, grounds, and atmosphere were more than we could imagine. So many different birds were there enjoying the vineyard too. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to go back in the Fall.

Wonderful, relaxing weekend. We just returned from a 2 night stay at Fitch Claremont Vineyard B&B. The Fitch Claremont consists of 4 rooms each with a private bath. Each room is uniquely decorated and has an electric fireplace for those chill nights. This was actually our third stay at Nora and Warren’s B&B and we are looking forward to a return trip. It is close to the highway yet very quiet with a nice country like setting. We stayed in the Fitch Room, which was nicely decorated, very clean and the room also had a great view of the vineyard. There was an electric fireplace that provided a nice romantic touch. The entire B&B is very warm and inviting and Nora and Warren make you feel very welcome. We had a full breakfast each morning, which also included wine; in the very bright sunroom overlooking the vineyard. We meet 3 other couples there and breakfast conversation was plentiful. One of the younger couples we meet wants to plan a return trip with his parents and is hoping we will be able to meet up with them again on their return trip in the Spring/Summer. Friday night we enjoyed a great dinner at Modesto’s, very close to the B&B. It was such a nice day out on Saturday we took our bottle of wine outside and enjoyed it while sitting on the patio looking at the foliage. After breakfast on Sunday and before we checked out Warren gave us a nice tour of the vineyard explaining the process of winemaking along with a tasting. While staying you’re a short drive to Mystic, CT. You can visit the Mystic Seaport or Aquarium and then shop in the Mystic Village. Abbey’s is also a short drive to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. If you stay in the fall a MUST visit is the BF Clyde’s Cider Mill - Website: www.bfclydescidermill.com. So if you’re looking for nice place to get away and escape from reality you will find it here.

This is a great value for your stay. We were warmly greeted by Nora upon pulling in. It was the fastest check in I have ever experienced and we felt right at home immediately. Based on their recommendation we enjoyed a wine tasting at a local vineyard. During our stay we had snacks and wine on the patio outside and strolled the vineyard. Before going out for dinner we had a lovely visit with Warren and Nora and tasted another type of wine that he makes. They were lovely hosts that make you feel right at home in their inn. Don't miss breakfast or you will regret it! We enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the sun room! I definitely plan on going back and when we left it was a short ride to downtown Mystic. So many things are close by, yet you can relax away from it all at a charming bed and breakfast.

What a delightful stay we had in this unique B&B in a restored old post and beam farm house nestled in a vineyard. The hosts are delightful and interesting people, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious Breakfast was complemented with a delicious "sweet William" breakfast wine, a special treat. We enjoyed touring the old barn and the vineyards too. We're looking forward to a return visit!

Our stay with Nora and Warren Strong exceeded all expectations, Nora cooked special gluten free pancakes and muffins which were very tasty. Art, who has a celiac allergy, really appreciated her doing this for him. Their breakfast presentation in a lovely sun room setting with a taste of their white wine was very enjoyable. We highly recommend a stay at the Fitchclaremont Vineyard B & B for anyone who might be passing through or planning a stay in the Bozrah, Connecticut area. Kathy and Art McNally

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this B&B! Nora and Warren were warm, welcoming hosts. The room was spectacular--filled with lovely antiques, comfortable bed, and my favorite, the gas fireplace. Every amenity was available, from extra towels and linens right in the room, to a basket of books, and local guides to attractions. Breakfast was a gourmet delight--fresh-baked pastries, fruit, eggs, sausage, hash-browns, French Toast, accompanied by wine made from their vineyard. This was served in a sun-filled room overlooking the vines. I was especially charmed by the beautiful china, silverware and crystal pieces that made the meal feel like an event! When we asked, we were given thoughtful suggestions about local places to visit. The location was convenient to any of the coastal attractions of South-eastern CT. Already looking for a reason to return here!

We slept in a beautifully kept very clean room and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a view of their wine vineyard in the morning. Loved the bottle of wine in the room and also to taste at breakfast. I would recommend you give this great B & B a try.

Cute, quiet (except the bird machine) little spot just off the highway with views of the vineyard. Wine with breakfast each morning with a special Federwiess with Sunday's meal. Beautifully added addition for the B&B to the gorgeous old farm house. Great place to stay when touring CT wine region...or the casino's! Did I mention you get a bottle of wine with your stay? Or taste straight from the barrel on the tour??

My wife and I had a fabulous time. Our hosts had a passion for wine and were generous in explaining the process of creating the wine and sharing samples with us to give us an idea of the wines that can be created in the Connecticut climate. Breakfast was creative and tasty. Adding the Vine and Dine was well worth the $125.00 value. Our room was very nice and had a window overlooking the vineyard. The inn is located not far from the Essex Steam Engine and Riverboat, which has an option to visit Gillette Castle. We took advantage and had a great day.

Fitch Claremont was absolutely beautiful, impeccably clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a delicious presentation. The hosts, Warren and Nora made you feel like family...like you were home for a holiday. The bottle of wine from their vineyard that comes with the room was delicious...as was their other varieties. We recently spent 2 nights at the Fitchclaremont Bed and Breakfastand we couldn't have been happier with our experience! The rooms are lovely, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious! We even left with a very simple bread recipe that we particularly enjoyed. And who doesn't love a great wine with their breakfast! The location is so close to Mystic and both casinos, and costs considerably less than the larger hotels and many of the other local B&B's. We can't imagine staying anywhere else. In addition to all of that, we can't say enough about our amazing host and hostess. Nora and Warren are unbelievable and really made us feel welcomed into their home. They are always ready to chat and share information/suggestions for things to do in the area. Truly two of the sweetest people and we look forward to visiting with them again soon!

Staying at Fitch Claremont is an experience not to be missed. Here, in the historic landscape of Southern CT, you can stay in a uniquely hospitable Inn, rediscovered and reinvigorated by Warren and Nora: wonderfully welcoming innkeepers. The rooms are clean, well appointed, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast in nourishing, delicious, timely, and served in the sunroom overlooking the vineyards. If you are fortunate, you might persuade Warren of an evening to show you the historic cellars dating from the late 1700’s that now house his wines and winery. Ask him about discovering and excavating the 1700’s granite foundations of the original Inn (The original Fitch may have married one of the Mohegan, subsequently maintaining an Inn for travelers to the thriving early New England township.) Forgo the bustle and noise of the casino rooms, and enjoy the grace and ease of a stay at Fitch Claremont.

We were looking for a very quiet place, and we were not disappointed. The room was vast and nicely decorated, we really felt like being at someone's place, not a hotel, so no disappointment either. It even had a (gaz) fireplace inside. Service was great, with a very nice greeting, a bottle of wine from the vineyard, and personal advice on dining places. (three stars on dining at this is N/A) I recommend this place!

We enjoyed our long weekend getaway at Fitchclaremont Vineyard. We felt so relaxed at this beautiful house. The room was very cozy, filled with old little things that made us feel at home. The owners made us feel very welcome. Walking at the vineyard in the morning, looking at the grapes, felling the fresh air, all gave us such pleasure. We highly recommend this B&B. By the way, breakfast was excellent!

We booked 2 rooms at the Fitch Claremont for my friend's bachelorette weekend. The location will take you by surprise. I've lived in CT my whole life and never heard of Bozrah, but it's so close to the casinos and Mystic (which is where we went for our night out on Saturday). Nora and Warren were beyond accommodating. We arrived late Friday night, and had packed a dinner, which they helped us set up outside on the gorgeous patio overlooking the vineyard. When we came inside, we were able to relax in a lovely sitting room and enjoy the complimentary wine that was left in our rooms. Warren even gave us an early sampling of the sweet wine that was served with breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - I wish I could move into the Fitch Claremont just so I could have that breakfast every morning! Each morning featured AMAZING potatoes and two delicious pastries (Saturday morning was a cinnamon roll and dutch apple pancakes, and Sunday morning was raspberry peach coffee cake and french-toast croissants - incredible). You would never know that Nora had cooked it all by herself just in the other room. I'm still have convinced she was hiding a pastry chef somewhere! Saturday morning, we went on the tour of their vineyard, and Warren can speak so in depth about the grapes that he grows and the wines he makes it's obvious that it's truly a passion of his, and he's good at it! The wines are delicious. It's wonderful to see people who are so dedicated to and happy with what they do. The rooms were pristine and every decorative detail around the house was flawless. It's really admirable to welcome people into your home every day, and I'm so glad that you do! Hospitality is obviously a calling for the two of you. Warren and Nora, thank you for hosting a fun, relaxing and out of the ordinary girls weekend, we can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay here at the Fitchclaremont. The room was perfect - extremely clean, well decorated and, most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful - loved that the breakfast view was of the vineyard . . .and lots of birds!! Breakfast was delicious - just enough . . .and the breakfast wine was a nice touch. Warren and Nora were very gracious hosts. The wine was an added bonus - we were able to taste their red wine, too and actually purchased a few bottles to take with us. The location is perfect - close to the casinos and not too far from the Rhode Island beaches. Will be returning to this B&B for sure!

We has a tastey breakfast each morning in the sun room over looking the vineyard. In the evening we sat on the patio with a glass of wine and watched the vines grow. Since we make wine, we enjoyed the tour of the vineyard and the informational tour of the wine process! We made some very good friends! I would certainly reccommend this place to stay!

I will definitely go back!

The Fitchclaremont Vineyard Bed and Breakfast was a charming and picturesque getaway. The innkeepers made us feel like family and were very generous with their inn and the vineyard on which it sits. Take in the views with a bottle of Adam Chardonay while watching Warren work the vineyard. The inn was close to many outdoor activities such as the Pachaug Forest, and enterainment venues, including Mohegan Sun. The rooms were very cozy and warm, nicely decorated and came with all the necessities for a memorable weekend. Thanks to Warren and Nora for making the Fitchcaremont Vineyard Bed and Breakfast a spot worth returning to.

For a Tuesday night stay, we were the only guests that evening, and were upgraded to the second floor room with better views of the vineyard. If I'm back in the area, I'd be happy to stay here again!

A spacious room with a comfy bed, overlooking the vineyard; a multi-course gourmet breakfast complete with homemade wine; a pair of warm and friendly hosts, and a gorgeous place to catch up on romance and reading. Mystic, CT was only 25 minutes away, with lots to do, but we stayed close to the house almost all weekend. And the prices were very reasonable, especially for a stay this lovely. We highly recommend the Fitch Claremont House!

I took my wife to the Fitch Claremont House for a romantic weekend getaway. Nora and Warren, the innkeepers had their home, including our room, decorated for Christmas and it was absolutely beautiful! We couldn't have asked for more hospitable, friendly folks for our hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the breakfasts that Nora served were exceptional! The complimentary bottle of wine which Warren makes himself from the vineyards surrounding the property was superb! We went on the Lantern Tour at Mystic Seaport late Saturday evening, and the Strong's were most helpful in recommending multiple places for fine dining in and around Mystic. Over all this was one of the more positive B&B experiences we have had, and we are already planning on returning next year! I would recommend the Fitch Claremont House to anyone who is planning on spending time in the area.

We had a great stay at the Fitchclalremont Vineyard B&B! We were running a bit late but was still greeted with a warm welcome. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was OUSTANDING. Fresh, tasty and unique. The bottle of wine with your room was a lovely added touch.

This is only my second time staying at a B&B and I must say I am so happy we did. The owner and his son were so nice and even though we got up at 10am on Sat we still had breakfast cooked for us. There was some mix-up with the room but it was quickly taken care of. We stayed in the Lathrop room and each room's keychain is a stuffed animal which is so cute. This B&B is located within driving distance of wineries and the casinos. And if you are looking for a romantic dinner definitely go with the Vine and Dine special. The food at Modesto's was very filling and the staff was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at the Fitchclaremont Vineyard B&B. The room was light-filled and spacious. The king -size bed was comfortable, and the room had a nice shower in the private bath. The innkeepers are a friendly retired couple, who provided all the information we needed about local attractions, and the room came with a complimentary bottle of wine which was made by Warren from grapes grown on the property, in the vineyard. Breakfast was tasty and filling. I would happily stay here again, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to try his luck (we didn't have any) at the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Casinos, which are 8 and 11 miles away, respectively. If you do go, be sure to set aside a few hours to see the wonderful Pequot Indian Museum at Foxwoods.

My husband and I had a very nice time at this bed and breakfast. Our room was very nice -- clean, nice fireplace and bathroom, and comfortable bed. The view of the vineyard was a nice bonus. There is a patio outside with chairs looking out on the vineyard and it made for a beautiful evening sitting there and watching the sunset. The location is very convenient to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, where we were able to have a great meal. Speaking of great meals, breakfast was fantastic. Real, fresh, delicious food (and lots of it). Warren then gave us a tour of his vineyard (at our request) and told us all about growing grapes and making wine.
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to share our passion for wine, wine making and all the other things that we often take for granted.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights for our 20th wedding anniversary Aug 24 and 25 2011. It was our first B&B experience and it was perfect. The accomodations were beautiful and the breakfasts' were exquisite. The grounds are peaceful and inviting. The Innkeepers were very friendly. I would highly recommend.
We have found that B&B people are a class of their own and after 19 years in this business, it is still a kick to hear "it was our first B&B experience and it was perfect" Thank You, you have made my heart happy

This is a private vineyard B and B with owners who do not intrude but are there when you need them. Great breakfast and a wonderful, clean, tastefully decorated house. Will be back!

What a wonderful gem of a bed and breakfast. This was our first stay at a B&B and could not have been more welcomed and received. From the minute Nora met us at the door until a warm handshake with Warren at the end of our stay, we experienced the charm of the Fitch Claremont. We originally were trying to book a room in the area to attend a concert and were so glad that the area hotels overpriced themselves for a weekend stay. Deciding to try this B&B turned into a desire to return to the area just to stay here again. The delicious homemade breakfasts, the great tasting wines, beautiful views of the vineyard, and warmth of the hosts made us experience the hospitality and quality that travelers 200 years ago must have experienced moving through New England. The room we stayed in was very well kept, comfortable and had excellent views of the vineyard. The hosts were always preparing meals, harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables, or tending to the guest rooms. They try hard to make your stay comfortable, such as having the rooms air conditioner on before we arrived during a significant heat wave or welcoming you to breakfast each morning. Thank You Nora and Warren for making us feel at home! We hope to return soon.

We had a lovely time resting and relaxing on our mid week mini-vacation. Warren and Nora were wonderful hosts and enjoyable company. My future breakfasts will be spoiled from here on out because of how wonderful they were at the Fitchclaremont. We are still enjoying the wines from their own vineyard as well. Superb!!

This was our first B&B stay and the Fitch Claremont set the bar very high. The room was beautiful, extremely clean, with a great bed! Nora and Warren were delightful hosts - friendly, helpful with suggestions on things to do in the area, yet not intrusive. I can't wait to visit again when it's warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the view of the vineyard and some of Warren's wine!

Absolutely loved our weekend here, what a hidden treasure. Would love to go back when the grapes are fruitful so to speak. Thank you Warren and Nora for everything, made our anniversary that much more special!

Our only complaint would be the price. Considering its winter and they are a vineyard, an off season discount would have been nice. Overall, my husband and I had a very nice time. The breakfast was wonderful and the Strong's are very friendly hosts.

farmhouse atmosphere wonderfull breakfast room with lots of plantings. The main room has a stone fire place with plenty of seating and numerous antiques, wonderfull ambiance. The wines from their vineyard are across the board semi sweet but delicious. Comfortable bed with gas fireplace. A little more than a mile away is a great restaurant called Modestos which a varied and excellent menu.

We stayed at the Fitchclaremont on the nights of January 1st and 2nd, 2011. We arrived after getting married at a small dinner ceremony with our families. We were ready to relax. The room was perfect! The bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in, and the breakfasts were out of this world! We're already looking forward to returning for our 1st anniversary next year! Thank You Warren and Nora for everything you have to offer!! Rich & Kim

We had twin boys in April and to say my husband and I are exhausted would be an understatement. We left them for a night with my parents and stayed at this lovely B&B. The Innkeepers were on vacation but their daughter was there and she was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and charming. Very cozy and romantic. Perfect place for an escape. The breakfast was absolutely delish and the view overlooking the small vineyard was peaceful and serene. We totally enjoyed our stay, would definately go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. It is also 10 minutes from Mohegan Sun if you are looking for a little excitement as well. Oh, and the wine...YUMMMM! :)

We enjoyed our one night get away at the Fitch Claremon B&B! The room was spacious and every detail was accounted for. And the breakfast was five star quality served in a warm friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the food and the converstations with the other guests. We recommend it to any who are looking a great respite not too far from home. We hope to return in the future.

I wanted a place that was out of the way and quiet to surprise my wife and have a little time away from work and regular life, this place was perfect. We will probably go there again if we are in the area.

Traveling back from a wedding in Cape Cod, we decided to stay near Mystic and make a weekend out of it. I have to admit that an onsite vineyard was an attraction to me. Nora and Warren were wonderful hosts, taking care of all the small details and answering any questions we had--all while ensuring us our privacy during our stay. We stayed in the Claremont room which had a jacuzzi tub. The room was well-appointed, airy, very clean and had great views of the vineyard. soft linens, ample pillows and a complimentary bottle of wine. We enjoyed the patio overlooking the vineyard and appreciated the gardens which Nora tends. The restaurant they recommended for dinner exceeded our expectations for taste and value. Of course, breakfast was the highlight--large portions, great variety and a homemade touch. This was the perfect ending to our weekend.

The moment you pull into the driveway your stress begins to dissolve when arriving at this quaint bed and breakfast. We arrived at night to the breathtaking the view of the vineyard, stars and moon. The B&B is very hospitable, Nora and Warren are genuinely kind people make you feel comfortable from ‘Hello’. Once settled in you can sit and read or drink some wine overlooking the vineyard. The breakfast is worth the stay itself, delicious wine, tea, fruit, stuffed croissants, bacon, eggs, potatoes are brilliant! It is a great place to stay for a romantic weekend getaway, close to Mystic for those who are interested in visiting. For us it was a last minute weekend adventure which was well worth the trip to Connecticut. We will definitely return to the Fitch Claremont, many thanks to Nora and Warren!

This was my first stay at a B&B and let me say, it was absolutely amazing. From the beautiful, comfortable rooms to the scenery. Nora met us upon arrival and immediately put us at ease and we knew we picked the right place. It was almost like coming home. Warren served a 5-star breakfast the next morning as we sat in the prettiest sunroom over looking the grounds/vineyards. We've already planned to return in the winter! Thank you Warren and Nora for a very wonderful memorable stay. See you soon!

We just returned from a couple of days away that were absolutely wonderful. The innkeepers Nora and Warren are super nice, friendly people who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door until you leave. My husband and I walked in not knowing Sue and Dave and left gaining two new friends. We are both looking forward to returning in the near future. We were provided with a wonderful breakfast each morning. We were also given great dinner recommendations.
