The Silk Pincushion is a vintage historic home that has been created into a Bed and Breakfast. We have three lavish guest rooms equipped with private baths, television, DVD, FREE High Speed Internet, comfortable beds, Central Air and spectacular mountain views. We also offer a carriage house suite that has all of the above plus a full bathroom and kitchenette. We also have the Queen Anne Suite that has all amenities as above, but has ground level entrance and will accommodate 3-4 people...plus onsite parking. Sleep in comfort, awake to a wonderful breakfast and then see all the attractions our town and surrounding areas have to offer.

Not only is the exterior of the Silk Pincushion adorable, with its inviting west-facing veranda, beautifully groomed and landscaped yard, and back-in-time siding and paint, but stepping in through the front door is an experience through a wonderful time machine. The parlor is filled with tufted antiques and furnishings perfect for "another era," like my grandmother's or earlier. The staircase to the three guest bedrooms upstairs is as handsome as the picture suggests on the website. I stayed in the Lavender Room, which could not have been more ideal. The bedding was precious and the mattress and pillows so comfortable. I slept very well. Anything you could need is in the pretty room. Even a TV with 3 remotes to accommodate technology is right there. The bathroom has its own opening skylight and an updated shower. This bedroom's window faces west like the veranda, which means the illuminated "M" on the mountainside (for the School of Mines) is visible at night through the lacy curtains. There is very little traffic on the street below, so engine sounds are virtually nonexistent. The soft lighting of lamps is so soothing and delicate in the room. Truly, all the main pieces of furniture and added decorations made me believe I was staying in my great-grandmother's home. Dreamy! The hosts did not intrude on my personal time whatsoever. Judy welcomed me warmly and let me discover the establishment on my own. As I enjoyed the veranda soon after, Dennis lovingly tended to the front yard in the late afternoon sun and cheerfully chatted with me. The next morning our breakfast was incredible -- 8 foods to enjoy as well as many accompaniments, all homemade by Judy. Our conversation was fun and we certainly left very full and happy! I whole-heartedly recommend this bed and breakfast to any lucky lodger in Golden!

We got married on Lookout Mountain and spent the night at the Silk Pincushion. Judy was so very nice to on the phone when we made our reservation! We checked in and then went to dinner, so we really didn't see anyone that evening. Breakfast the next morning was amazing, though! The food, the setting, and the conversation with Dennis and Judy and the other guests made for a very pleasant experience. Our room (the Green Room) was quiet, clean, and more than comfortable. Loved the bed and the pillows! The decor in this Victorian home is lovely, and Maggie the cat is very sweet. We'll definitely be back when we're ready for a quick get-away, and we highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Stayed for the second time while I was in town for a conference. Comfortable, quite, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast! I always wish I could stay another day, or that I could arrive earlier. The rooms are smallish and have a generally feminine touch. Purple room especially, green room less so. Judy and Dennis are so welcoming and the home has a nice feel to it. Location is great for access to all things Golden. You can definitely walk to most places. Can't wait for next year!

We had a wonderful stay at the Silk Pincushion. The hosts were friendly and made a wonderful breakfast! It took us about 10 minutes to walk downtown and it's even closer to the Coors brewery so there's no excuse to drink and drive and you can avoid paying for an Uber. The room and bathroom was very nice and the decor was so interesting and full of history. We loved our stay!

Our first Bed and Breakfast experience will be a hard one to beat! Judy and Dennis were the perfect hosts. Very welcoming and warm. The house is a historical victorian-style home with so much character. The walls are decorated with Judy and Dennis' quilts and dolls that they've made and collected. They both had wonderful recommendations for activities to do around the area - they really made our trip enjoyable! We stayed in the Green Room. It had a closet to hang your coat, a TV with DVD player and cable and a connected bathroom with bath/shower combo. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby during our stay! The town of Golden is adorable and you get fantastic views of the mountains, especially South Table Mountain. I highly recommend staying at the Silk Pincushion if you're looking for that small town hospitality. We even got hugs when we were leaving! We left feeling like family. That's hard to beat!
Thank you so much for the great review. We enjoyed you both so much. Great couple. Looking forward to you staying with us again Judy and Dennis

Judy and Dennis are warm, funny and gracious hosts. Breakfast each morning was thoughtful and delicious. Judy made gluten free dishes for guests who requested the same, but we all ate them. B&Bs are our preference when traveling and this was one of the best we have ever stayed at.
