We were traveling across the country from Pa to California. This B and B was a beautiful stop along the way. Breakfast was wonderful and the cottage was very nice!

We had a wonderful time at the Apple Orchard Inn the weekend of June 22nd. I thought it would be nice to contribute to the local economy due to the tourist reservation cancellations from the 416 Fire. Therefore, I made reservations for the weekend at the AOI and nixed the hotel chains. Kathi was the best cook and very hospitable. We'll be back for sure!

We so enjoyed our stay at Apple Orchard Inn! We stayed in the Cortland Cottage. It was plenty spacious and at the back of the beautiful property. Only word of caution is for people with balance issues is that the shower is in the spa tub and quite a large step into and out of the tub. Also, no a/c which was not an issue for us but could be for some (nights were so pleasant as the temps dip pretty low and we slept with windows open). Kathi was a wonderful hostess! Breakfasts were with other guests (which we love) in Kathi's homey kitchen. Long story but we were there when the 416 Fire began and our car was parked in an evacuated town. She offered to take us where needed to get our car and gave us another room to extend our stay an extra day. We absolutely recommend this B&B and we will stay again when in the area.

We actually stayed in two rooms because we had to extend our stay because of the 416 Fire (long story...nothing to do with this b&b). The Cortland Cottage was so cute! We loved that it was cool enough at night to sleep with the windows open. The property made you feel as though you were way out in the country. Loved getting to know the other guests over breakfast and watching the deer, magpies, and mallard ducks eat their breakfast outside the windows. We would definitely stay again if in Durango! Thank You Kathi!

My hubby and I visited Durango for a quick weekend getaway. It was beautiful. We stayed in the Wolf Creek Cottage and it was adorable. The grounds are very clean, quiet and private. Kathy was a great host.

I brought my boyfriend back for his birthday and it was amazing. I hadn’t even seen pictures, only word of mouth that it was a beautiful place, that the food was great and the owner was warm and inviting. Gotta say… the grounds are just picturesque! We did have breakfast one of the mornings and it was so good! I’ve told so many people about this place and I WILL be coming back again! If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay where you can walk the grounds and enjoy nature, sample the amazing breakfasts… this is the place to go. So so good!

We loved Apple Orchard Inn. Kathi made us feel so at home. Our room (Granny Smith) was very nice and comfortable. We had a sofa and side chair. Weather was great and enjoyed having the windows open. The breakfast both mornings was outstanding! Would definitely stay again if in the Durango area. Phyllis & Ricky Buffaloe (Garner, NC)

This beautiful property was a much needed break from city life. We loved the grounds (would have aporeciated tables and chairs for house guests to sit outside), the sunny room, and the stars! We hope to return soon.

Did not feel welcome from the start. Sofa bed for my daughter was so uncomfortable , can’t sleep the whole night , the air mattress deflated . When we went down at 9.00am for breakfast , we were told breakfast is over . And was served at 8 am ! We didn’t know ,not told to us about it. Who on earth when on holiday would wake up so early to have breakfast . At least she could have offered us a drink or milk or toast but nothing !!! Accommodation n pictures look nice when we booked but our stay was very unpleasant experience . Thank God it was only for a night . Very disappointed . We could have jus stayed in town. I strongly discourage holiday makers to stay there .

Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies
This has become a "Signature Dish" because returning guests always go to the ever-present cookie jar looking for them. Baked daily, these Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies aren't your run-of-the-mill cookies! They are filled with three kinds of chocolate, plus walnuts and pecans. Not exactly exciting, but they are baked at about 4 p.m. daily. When eaten straight out of the oven, it's heaven!
