Florence Rose Bed and Breakfast

1305 West 3RD Street , Florence, CO 81226 USA (Show map)

This 130 year old Victorian Farmhouse, has been a B&B for almost 30 years. As you can see by our reviews, it is the most relaxing, private, little oasis in Southern Colorado. The 1.5 acre property is beautifully manicured and lush, outlined with blue spruce, filled with mature shrubs, surrounded by 140 year old silver maple trees. The brick patio and side yard, have 2 soothing water fountains. The cozy and private hot tub gazebo is the perfect setting for guests to relax and unwind after a day filled with all the activities the area has to offer, or they can toss a few in the full size horseshoe pit. In addition, to the 1907 carriage house, on the west side of the property, sits an 1860 log cabin. The cabin was reassembled on the property in 1946, and used as a hamburger stand, a vegetable market, and even a residence up to the 1980's. We have been slowly restoring it with the intention of making it a rental some day. Built in 1886 of solid brick, this magnificent old house has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. All the guests rooms have a private bath, and are beautifully appointed with antique furnishings, including vintage wardrobes. At the top of the stairs sits a one of a kind, 1910 hand carved Murphy Bed. The Garden Room, with it's own bathroom & shower, serves as our 'pet friendly' room A hot home cooked breakfast is served every morning at at 8:30. We look forward to you visiting us soon, a relaxing night awaits!

The historic house is beautiful. Bob and Barbara were a pleasure to talk to and we slept better than we have in a while. Highly recommend!

Worth the trip!

We stayed at the Florence Rose for New Year's weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The unique antique stores of Florence combined with the charm and warmth of the B&B made a wonderful get away! Barb and Bob are so friendly and low-key, offering whatever we could possibly need. The breakfast with all the other guests in the morning was delicious and so much fun. We would stay there again.

Splendid B&B!!

A very quaint and personal B&B, with great friendly service, great décor, full of character and a wealth of history. Such a welcome change to the faceless chain hotels I normally stay in during work travels! Thanks again to Bob, Barb, and Penny - we had a great stay! :-)

Lovely B&B in an Adorable Town

Barb and Bob are extremely kind hosts. Our room (the Yvonne) was lovely, exceptionally clean, and very well appointed. The house is over 130 years old and has a very interesting history that you can read about in your room. The grounds are beautiful and ideal for sitting early in the morning with a cup of coffee. Breakfast was a delicious, two course affair - yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit, followed by individual veggie quiches and sausage. We didn't get a chance to try out the hot tub this time around, but hope to on our next visit!

The Florence Rose B & B was AMAZING! My husband and I stayed here after researching BnB options in the Canon, CO area. We hit the jackpot. The history, friendliness, charm and yummy breakfast was a golden experience for us.... and they even let me practice my trumpet in our room!!

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way to the Sand Dunes. Bob and Barb were wonderful hosts and their home is an old Victorian Style with lots of charm and period correct decorations and furniture. The history in thr home is worth the trip in itself. The room was very cozy, had a nice bathroom and the bed was extremely comfortable. Barb cooked up a tasty breakfast and we were sure to ask for a recipe. We'd gladly return!
