I recently spent a wonderful three days at Lavender. From the reception to checkout, everything was great. My room was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and spotless . I had an enclosed deck with a hot tub. Breakfasts were large with lots of choices. The little village of Yountville is charming and well located for visiting neighboring wineries. My stay could not have been better!

About a dozen of my closest friend and I stayed at the property over a long weekend for a friends wedding that was nearby. We all enjoyed all aspects of the property. Great rooms, although my favorite was the loft above the garage. :) Breakfast was amazing and the fresh baked cookies were on point! Employees were more than accommodating any request we had. Highly recommend Lavender!

We stayed at Lavender Thursday through Sunday in late August and could not have had a better time. The place is charming, the location in Yountville is super, the breakfasts were delightful, great hospitality, a welcoming and friendly staff. We loved our room with its patio and fountain. The only negative was that Lavender's ice-maker wasn't working. We give the place very high marks and would go back in a heartbeat.

We love staying at Four Sisters because they set a standard and hold to it. The Lavender Inn is located in the heart of Yountville allowing you to walk to wonderful tasting rooms, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are lovely, not huge, with large bathrooms. Room 7 has a really cool private patio with a two person hot tub. Room 1 has a really nice fenced patio/yard and an extra huge bathroom. Breakfast is good and the wine and cheese in the afternoon is a nice feature. Wines are not always great but we loved having a little snack before a late dinner.

Charming French country cottage in the heart of yountville...such a memorable stay! Laura is terrific --so kind and full of knowledge about the area. All of her recommendations for dining were perfect! Thank you!

Our fourth stay at Lavender this July was just as outstanding as our past visits, which is why we continue to make Lavender a home away from home when in Napa. We stayed in Room 4 which had a jetted whirlpool tub on the outside patio with plenty of privacy. All of the rooms on the courtyard are spacious and have large bathrooms with double sinks. The breakfasts and snacks at 5:00 were scrumptious and fulfilling. Janet at the front desk is friendly and extremely accommodating in answering many questions and even making wine tasting appointments. We look forward to returning to the Lavender Inn as soon as possible.

Wonderful rooms in the heart of Yountville. The staff was super friendly and they take care of you from check-in to check-out. Nice little perks in the complimentary breakfast and wine tasting at night. Second time we have stayed and will stay there again.

We had a great stay an Lavender. Janet was a wonderful hostess. The room was perfect, and much more private than we expected. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside and have a glass of wine. Lavender is in the middle of Yountville so you could walk to everything. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you Janet for making us feel so welcomed.

The Lavender inn is a quiet, convenient place to stay while in Yountville. The staff is courteous and helpful and the morning breakfast is wonderful I highly recommend the Inn.

We stayed at Lavender for four nights in June and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we especially liked the little private patio with the hot tub. Convenient walk to great restaurants (just around the corner from French Laundry) and an easy jump onto 29 to hit all the best wineries. A good (not great) breakfast every morning with a friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful flowers and grounds in a very quiet neighborhood. This was my second stay and I'll definitely be back...

This is a truly beautiful, charming, wonderful property. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Location is superb, right in the middle of Yountville. Easy walking distance everywhere and in the heart of the Napa Valley. The complimentary afternoon wine tasting was a surprising bonus. Our room was way beyond our expectations. Private, comfortable patio, all the comforts you wish for but rarely get. Would stay again in a heartbeat. This was our anniversary and we were pleased in every way.

Incredible staff- they are very welcoming and so attentive. You are treated like family, but given complete privacy. We keep coming here because the rooms are well appointed, clean, different (i.e., not hotel rooms), and private. And yes the price--- this, for us, is so much better than the 'catered' hotels down the street. Like I said...you are family.

We stayed 2 nights at Lavender and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. It is in the heart of Yountville and nothing is more than 5 or so minutes walk away. It is lovely and charming and a refreshing change from faceless chain hotels. We would thoroughly recommend it and look forward to staying there again.

Stay at Lavender Inn was great. Breakfast was good but very similar each day. A bit more variety would be nice. Rooms were nice if not a bit dated, particularly the bathrooms. Walk in showers would be an improvement. Service was great.

We have been 4 sisters inn guests for over 15 years staying in Monterey, Pacific Grove, Napa, Yontville, and Sonoma over the years. Our last stay was at Lavender and in one of the upstairs rooms. One of our hosts was just the sweetest person and the other although was nice, thought out loud a little too much. It may be a pet peeve of mine, but when a maintenance person can't decide on which kind of lightbulb to replace another one with and then you get the ceiling with different colored bare bulbs, it just makes me think other things don't matter also. Over all, Lavender met our needs, meals were tasty, and we will return in the future as we enjoy their offers.
4.2 on April 17, 2017
Nice place in the middle of Yountville, good size room, nice bathroom. Great breakfast each morning and superb location. Easy walk to shopping and lots of dining options. Nice value relative to the expensive hotels in the area. I'd stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay at Lavender in Yountville. It felt like we were staying with friends. Our King room had a beautiful little private patio with a fountain. Walkable to restaurants and shops in town. Breakfast was delicious with a good array of hot and cold options. Janet was a wonderful and warm hostess. Will return again for sure.

We are regulars at Maison Fleurie in Yountville and that won't change as we love that cozy Four Sisters property. We decided to book Lavender for an overnight on my Birthday weekend as a test run for our wedding weekend coming up in October. We have booked the entire Inn for Family for that weekend and wanted to get to know the property. All I can say is we left knowing we booked exactly the right property. Cozy, relaxed Country elegance, awesome service, great location and fantastic food! What a spectacular property. The private Courtyards are a luxury you don't even realize you need until you have it...we enjoyed our evening glass of wine in our private courtyard before heading to dinner and it was so relaxing and romantic. The other big plus of this property is how quiet it is. If you are looking for a restful nights sleep while in Yountville I would recommend Lavender. Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Washington Street to offer peace and quiet yet only two blocks away! Can't wait to return and introduce our Families to this fabulous property!

But I would happily stay there again

We stayed in the lodge, a separate room upstairs. It was very quiet, the room is spacious, fabulous jacuzzi tub/shower combo, fireplace. Very nice. Breakfast was good, staff very nice. The location in Yountville is perfect, especially if you want to try out some of the fancier restaurants in Napa Valley. Close to French Laundry, Bouchon, Bottega and others. Great stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Lavender. The staff was friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Our bed was very comfy and we enjoyed the amenities including the gas-burning fireplace on a cold winter's eve; the yummy breakfast and welcoming plate of cookies near reception. WE'll be back!
3.4 on January 20, 2017
This was a quaint and charming B&B. The location is worth staying here for as you are walking distance to so many great restaurants. It was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. I was not a fan of the breakfast or other snacks though. Compared to their sister inn in Santa Monica, it is far below par. I didn't really like any of the food and thought it could be much better for the price you are paying. I did like how they have unlimited drinks available including filtered water, that was a nice touch. Would recommend for location but not for food at all.
3.6 on January 13, 2017
Lavender is overall, a pleasant place to stay in the heart of Yountville, within walking distance to many fine restaurants. It's an inn, not a bed and breakfast, so don't expect any interaction with other guests. The rooms are clean, breakfasts are simple but good, and the staff are helpful. My only real complaint is the terribly slow WiFi in the rooms. Just reading email was hard, and watching any steamed video like Netflix was out of the question. I measured 750Kbps in our room, about 1/80th of the speed at home where we have a typical cable modem.
4.0 on January 03, 2017
Very nice stay at Lavender Inn during our trip to Napa. We stayed in room above check-in area and for the price found it to be a very nice, easy stay in Yountville. Close enough to town to walk to the local shops and restaurants. Janet, the assistant manager, is very friendly and enjoyable to get to know. Breakfast and wine happy hour are light but good and enough to get you going in the morning and hold you over until dinner after a day of wine tasting! Would definitely stay again and recommend to all.

We absolutely love room #7! The fireplace makes the room really cozy, and the outdoor jetted tub makes for relaxing mornings with a favorite cup of coffee from Bouchon Bakery just up the street. The large bathroom is appreciated, and overall, the room has everything we need!

Spent three wonderful days here this week. The Inn was in a perfect location both for driving or walking in town. Our room was lovely with a fireplace, incredibly comfortable bed, comfortable cushioned chairs and beautiful bathroom. Although we didn't use it, the patio area had chaise lounges along with a stone fountain. Breakfast was great each day with some sort of eggs, fruit, starches and always fresh baked goodies with jam. In the evening, there was wine along with charcuterie and of course fresh baked cookies. We loved talking to the asst. manager each morning. The one and only item will mention is that the room we stayed in had a lovely and large tiled bath that would be hard to step out of if one had a bad hip. If that fits you, please make sure you mention that to the manager as I'm sure they have other rooms that would be more suitable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It was wonderful.

We rented the loft suite at Lavender and it was really nice, spacious, clean and really well laid out. The suite has a nice living room area with a gas burning fireplace. Bathrooms is nice (tub is a little high to get into -- and I'm tall). I also liked that the windows open so you can get fresh air. We found the staff to be helpful and very nice. The breakfast is OK, but we only ate it once. Lavender is located on a quite street in Yountville and very conveniently located to the shops, restaurants and tasting rooms in Yountville. We definitely recommend Lavender.

Absolutely the nicest Inn we've ever stayed at with some of the friendliest employees. We adored our stay with Lavender and it has set the bar very high for any of our future visits at other establishments. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with scented flowers and manicured gardens. The hotel is conveniently located near many wineries and it is within walking distance of numerous acclaimed restaurants. The rooms are immaculate and spotless. We've never encountered such a clean establishment. The rooms even smelled crisp and tidy. Not only are the rooms fresh, but they're comfortable. The beds are clouds, the towels are fluffy, and the linens are perfect. All of the amenities in each of the rooms have been updated with modern appliances, however, they still retain the classic, antique ambiance that you expect in a French Inspired Country Inn. Even more importantly, for tall people like me, the rooms are spacious and well-laid out (not cluttered at all). We loved sitting on the porch for our morning coffee, while enjoying our freshly prepared breakfast. We cherished the quiet and relaxing night that we spent in the private whirlpool. It was an amazing place to unwind with a bottle of local wine. We highly recommend Lavender and would love to return if we are fortunate enough to visit the area again.

Our kids discovered this place years ago and stayed several times since. So, when we were planning to go west for our 45th, there was no choice. It was their all-time favorite B&B and now ours, as well. It is so convenient to just walk to wonderful restaurants and shopping. For breakfast, I thought we would nibble a little, then go to Bouchon's. Then we walked in to several hot prepared dishes, juices, breads and fruit. Needless to say, we did Buochon another time. We loved the spacious room and private bathroom. The staff were very inviting and showed us all around when we arrived.
4.8 on May 11, 2016
Even before we got there, Janet was working with us to make our stay for our wedding perfect! When we arrived it was with a warm welcome. We felt like family the whole time. The property is intimate and warm and it felt like home but better! Our room had a jetted bathtub on the patio and I used it ever night after wine tasting and eating all day. It was so relaxing! The room was perfectly sized and we loved the fireplace. Every morning was special walking into the main house to see what was homemade for breakfast every day and getting a warm welcome from Janet or the other staff. We will most definitely be back to stay!!

We booked this room as it was the last room available in Yountville during the time we would be there for our wedding. The room ended up being so perfect. We loved the large bathroom and the private patio with the outdoor bathtub. The service was incredible and it was so nice to stay in a small property where we were always addressed by name. The breakfast was always homemade and delightful. We were served breakfast in bed the day after our wedding and that was so special!! I would MOST CERTAINLY stay here again. Many thanks to Janet for making the most special wedding week ever!

This was a return visit to this property. Staff was very attentive and very pleasant. Everything was great. My only concern (which is a big one) was the cleanliness of the room and especially the bathroom. There were spiderwebs in the ceiling and the bathtub could have used a deeper cleaning.
4.0 on December 30, 2015
We enjoyed two great nights at the Lavender Inn, staying in the Loft room which is accessed via a separate outdoor entrance up a flight of stairs. It has a separate sitting room with a fireplace and a massive bathroom with a whirlpool tub. The central location of the Inn is ideal for both walking to town and exploring the wine region. Only critique would be that the Inn has a fairly corporate, hotel-like vibe -- the staff is professional but not overly welcoming, and the breakfast is pretty cookie cutter -- but overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Lavender was such a good surprise to stumble upon and I highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect. Very short walking distance to downtown Yountville, The French Laundry and perfectly positioned in the middle of the Napa Valley to get to all the wineries your heart could desire! The food for breakfast and afternoon snack each day really blew me away and was much better than I was expecting. Definitely book a stay here!

The staff are welcoming and food differs by day so it depends upon your own subjective food tastes as to whether the food is good. It is, however, the location of this property in Yountville as to why to stay here. It is quiet. Restaurants and shops are less than a half block's walk away.

This was my husband's and my 10th stay in Yountville, but our first visit to Lavender. The room was wonderful - generously sized with double-sink bathroom. We really enjoyed lounging on the private patio listening to the fountain gurgle. It was the perfect location - close to Yountville's exceptional restaurants, but quiet too. We enjoyed an on-site breakfast Sunday morning before returning to reality. All in all a wonderful weekend - we will return.

We have stayed at Lavender in Yountville, Ca. On multiple occasions, we have never been disappointed. We have had a different room each time and each one has been cozy, clean, and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of several world class restaurants, and within a short distance to many highly awarded wineries. The breakfast offerings are always tasty and more than the typical "continental" breakfast, we've enjoyed mushroom and asparagus quiche, apple/walnut pancakes, and many other equally creative and delicious breakfast choices. Afternoon cookies and early evening wine and cheese treats are special treats that we looked forward to also. Sitting on the front porch swing and enjoying a glass of wine, while listening to the songs of the nearby birds is exactly the kind of afternoons we've come to expect at Lavender. On our most recent trip we awoke to enjoy the morning lift off of several very colorful hot air balloons as they began their trip through the Napa Valley, an added fun and unexpected treat. Lavender offers "off season" 2 nights for the price of 1 specials for the months of Jan.-March, and the special price is what initially attracted us to them. Now we feel we've found a real treasure in Lavender, and being here in the "off season", the weather has always been great, and the fact that most of the restaurants and wineries are less crowded is an added bonus that has continued to draw us back at this time of year to both Napa Valley, and Lavender in particular. We love this place so much that I hesitate to write the review with too much thundering applause in fear that our "secret gem" will be found out. We consider our time at Lavender to be some of our favorite days during the year, and look forward to our next visit with great anticipation. Come, and enjoy!

They were so accommodating and rushed to get us into our room while we were at lunch. It was a nice gesture. Breakfast is excellent and pleasant. Not our 1st stay at Lavender, spacious & comfy & we just love it. Only downside is the cold, concrete flooring in the bathroom.

Great location close to outstanding Yountville restaurants, spas and wine bars. Very friendly staff and great breakfast food. An evening wine tasting with an assortment of cheeses and crackers was a nice touch. Quiet, clean, beautiful location and a good value for the money.

Breakfast was very delicious, the room was cute and feel like home. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, yet walking distance to all the shops and restaurant. Enjoyed our stay totally in Yountville, Napa!

We had a lovely stay at Lavender overall. We did have a room change which I think if we had started out in the room we ended in would have been a different story. Luckily for them, they are booked most of the time. The service, staff, cleanliness, and food were extraordinary. The ADA room was not worth the mark up for the king bed as the room was noisy, not very private, and we couldnt turn off the light outside which was in the main walkway on on the street side of the building. I really think they should re- think this being a guest suite as the bathroom was bigger than the room, it was drafty, and less private than any other room there. Otherwise, all other needs were met or exceeded. I usually don't care about these things, but I manage vacation rentals and have been in the service industry for 20 years and since the first two nights were divine, I believe they need to know about these details. We would return, however to a room upstairs or the interior rooms of the inn which are a lot better situated on the property.

We enjoyed our stay in the new loft despite the big earthquake early Sunday morning! At least we know the property is beautiful as well as built to withstand earthquakes, but what happened to the chickens? We didn't see them this visit.

We had yet another wonderful stay at the Lavender Inn in Yountville. Highlights this time: sitting in the late afternoon sun on the porch outside our room, enjoying the wine and appetizers served by the inn. Riding the bicycles provided by the inn around town. Plentiful and tasty breakfast. We love staying here and walking to Bouchon Bakery, and out to dinner.

Greeted with warmth and attention....kinda like visiting your favourite aunts place. Marion made us feel at home right away while running us through the "need to knows" about the property and entourage. The Jacuzzi sweet was perfect for our 10th anniversary not to mention the personalized generous gift basket and "bubbly" on ice complementing the comfortable decor. Such a pleasant experience. Everything was better than expected - cleanliness of the room, friendliness of the personnel, location. The only thing that made this stay not a perfect one was the fact that one article of clothing that I happened to forget in the room was never found. The first time, in 15 years of trave,l when I forget something and it simply vanishes without a trace...
