Great Getaway Lodge

Very nice cabin, I like all the decoration and the breakfast is beautiful and delicious:) Hosts Mauriene and Tim very friendly, outgoing, and go the extra mile to make our stay wonderful. If we are ever in the area again, we would lodge here.

Exceeded all our expectations!

We stayed at the Log House Hotel for two nights and only wished it had been for longer! Maureen and Tim are excellent hosts and our room the Sierra Nevada room which was amazing. It was like stepping back in time and staying in a cowboy movie. Maureen’s breakfast was delicious and so many extra touches! We loved the stars at night on the ceiling and sitting on the decking drinking a welcome glass of wine. Thank you for making our stay so welcoming! We would definitely love to return.

If you like hummingbirds, we had our morning coffee on the front patio area with 30 hummingbirds taking turns at the bird-feeders. Close to Sequoia NP with dining options nearby. For advice on what to see during your stay, ask Maureen.

Characterful family-friendly base for Sequoia

3.6 on August 01, 2018

Our family of 3 pre/teens and two parents on a hiking trip through Sequoia were greeted with great warmth by the owner. We were very grateful for the fully equipped kitchen and basics such as cereal, milk, home-laid eggs, yoghurt waiting for us in the fridge, as well as the classic board games and movies available. It was great to be able to come home to such a peaceful, secure spot and cook on the BBQ and be sure of an extremely clean (and bug-free) home. You can see from the pics that the place has kitschy character but they don't show the incredibly helpful local tips from Maureen who saved us hours in travel delays with her good advice. She was helpful but never intrusive and we would return happily to this fun spot.

Great place to stay

This is a great place to stay as a staging point for Sequoia National Park. The house is really nice, the rooms are comfortable and really unique, the deck and view are beautiful, and the breakfast is seriously gourmet. On our visit in July it was extremely hot in Three Rivers but the BnB was well air-conditioned.

Highly recommended

Fantastic! Exceptional! The Very Best Place to stay in Sequoia

5 on July 05, 2018

We live in the Los Angeles area and have stayed at a few places in Sequoia but just discovered the Log House Lodge - which is by far a memory our family will treasure forever. We stayed 3 nights, 4 days in the Pioneer Suite and it was magical - and talk about clean! Not that you would, but one could eat off the floors - the entire lodge was spotless. (Clean sheets, clean towels, fresh snacks in the pantry & fridge...) DECOR: By the way, the Video Tour that is on their website - depicted a beautiful, tranquil & magical place - we were pleasantly stunned how it was even better in person. No joke. Hummingbirds swooping all around, the friendly cat which greets you, the waterfall in the back, swing, - the decor of the lodge was impressive- VERY reminiscent of the high end Wilderness Lodge at the mouse's House. You will have to read between the lines here: hope that made sense - when we inquired how they were able to pull this off- we discovered the owner actually had a long spanning career as a lead 'designer' for them (not what it's actually called) - which is clearly obvious when looking around, no one else could pull off such detail (note: I'm purposely changing/ leaving out key words - they are not permitted to advertise or promote this fact that he had a long career with 'D' - the #1 magical place we ALL love worldwide). The owners are very friendly and accommodating - this is easily a 5 star place that goes above and beyond. Note, we are not affiliated with the lodge or the owners, just hope to do right by them by giving them a glowing review that they deserve. Anyway, a huge congrats to these folks for for all of the hard work they put into the lodge. We will be back for sure!!

Fantastic Bed and Breakfast

What a piece of heaven after driving those winding roads in Sequoia National Park. Great hospitality and great morning breakfast.

The best place ever!

The Log House Lodge far surpassed our expectations! The inn keepers were so welcoming and their homemade breakfast was out of this world! The lodge is decorated with all sorts of cabin details and decorations. It is so homey and comfortable. The area is also very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
