Loved our stay, sorry you are moving on¿¿

My husband & I stayed at your B&B for my 45th high school reunion. You both were vet cordial, personable & friendly! Your breakfast was delicious, served in a lovely group interactive setting including your sweet doggie hanging out adjacent on the lawn & return guests from New Hamshire with their granddaughter & two fellows from London & more we did not acquaint ourselves with due to time restraints. We loved our room, especially the claw foot tub with the wonderful HOT water, also the books you had available for enjoyment. You run a wonderful warm place& wish you allllll the best!!! Thank you¿¿

Wonderful Stay-cation!

This was a great B&B - and such a convenient South Bay location. Theresa gave us an exceptional welcome, a nice tour of the building and back yard, gave us a great recommendation for dinner within walking distance and heated up the hot tub for us.

Convenient and comfortable

Our 6th or 7th stay was as the others, predictably comfortable and quiet. Conveniently located hear downtown Santa Clara and beautiful park in between.

Relaxing Thanksgiving weekend

5 on November 29, 2017

Our family of 4, plus pooch, traveled north to spend Thanksgiving with 37 other family members and friends. We found the Madison Street Inn to be very low key and relaxing. Delicious breakfasts, way too many good cookies, jacuzzi with wine, and friendly on-site dog the perfect break from all the hectic family dynamics and heavy meals. Debbie and Kate were more than accommodating. Nice area to walk around and there is a children's park and senior center just at the end of the block.

Wonderful vacation.

Delightful owners and staff. Interesting conversations with owners, staff and other guests. Outstanding breakfasts.

Other B&Bs should use this one as a model

We will definitely be staying here again if the opportunity arises. The family who owns and runs it is fantastic, breakfast was delicious, the patio is beautiful, and the house is just astounding. 10/10

The house is spectacularly decorated. Felt like I went back in time and spent the night in my Grandmother's old house. Comfortable beds, bath was nice. Breakfast was great in the morning. Can't beat that they keep scones and port available for you. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay for airport trips

Teresa was warm and welcoming - the house was cozy and comfortable, all areas clean and ready for guests. Breakfast was a fantastic meal out on the patio by the pool. Will definitely visit here again anytime I have to stay in San Jose.

An elegant room located at front of the house, where the morning light enters gently through the east facing window. A bright and sunny room with a large window facing out into our scenic gardens, the Harrison room has a full-size bed, antique wardrobe and a comfortable chair for reading. It’s burgundy accents and wood furnishings bring a cozy ambiance to an already beautiful room. The closet in Victorian times has been converted into a compact bathroom with a shower and is adjoined to the room, making the Harrison the only full-size room with a private bathroom.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Bathroom Private Bath
  • Beds 1 Double

Nightly Rate: $149 - $179

An Asian-themed room with orchids painted in Trompe-l’oeil style by a faux painter from Arizona, the Jefferson room has a full-size bed, a sink vanity, desk and built-in cedar closets made by Ralph. This room is especially unique, as it used to be the kitchen during the Victorian era. We converted it into a bedroom in 1986. It shares a bathroom with the Fremont room.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Beds 1 Double

Nightly Rate: $129 - $159

The only room named after a General instead of a President, the Fremont room is a light, airy corner room with lots of natural lighting. Although one of our smaller rooms, it is the favorite room of Theresa. She attributes her love for this room to the two windows and the Bay leaf tree right outside one of the windows. Sharing a bathroom with the Jefferson room, this room has a full-size bed and a refinished antique cast iron sink in the room.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Beds 1 Double

Nightly Rate: $129 - $159

With its romantic Parisian theme, the Monroe room will carry you away from the stresses and demands of life, giving you a little taste of one of the most romantic cities on earth. Tucked away on a quiet lower floor, it is the ideal space for a romantic getaway for two. It boasts contemporary furnishings with a queen brass bed and a desk, a generous closet space and small fridge, and a beautiful private bathroom with a large antique bear claw tub for two and a more traditional shower head over the top.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Bathroom Private Bath
  • Beds 1 Queen

Nightly Rate: $175 - $205

Roosevelt Suite

With it’s own private entrance, the Roosevelt Suite is ideal for your romantic getaway, business trip or family vacation. With a nod to Teddy Roosevelt, the suite’s modern take on a seafaring theme will take you back in time with its vintage maps, antique books, and nautical bookends. As the the largest and most private of our six rooms, it is spacious with a comfy King bed, a full-sized futon and cozy seating area and is furnished with its own mini-fridge, a microwave and an electric fireplace. The Suite has its own private bathroom with a gorgeous, newly remodeled shower. Minimum stay 2 nights.

  • Maximum Capacity: 4
