Quiet and intimate, the Eagle Inn is a fine example of Spanish-Colonial architecture, a style typical of historic Santa Barbara. The Inn has been lovingly restored, and today is an elegant retreat just a few steps from the heart of town. Our recent renovation has given us a wing of new rooms featuring in-room whirlpool tubs, fireplaces and balconies, perfect for romantic evenings or weekend getaways. These rooms are among the best that Santa Barbara has to offer. Each room is unique, light and spacious with fine period furnishings and details. Our bridal suite with fireplace and private veranda is the perfect honeymoon retreat, while executive and family rooms are likewise tailored to your comfort. Guest room amenities include refrigerator, hairdryer, free movie channel TV, coffee maker, direct dial phone, personal room safe and high speed D.S.L. internet connection.

My husband and I stayed at The Eagle Inn for our anniversary. It was our first time in Santa Barbara. The hotel is in a great location everything is near by. The hotel had a nice cozy feel. The breakfast was great and so was the service. We were one of the youngest couples staying along with a few families with little ones but you couldn’t even tell because it was so quite. The beach is near by but so was the downtown area. We definitely will be staying here again.

We stayed in a King room with jetted tub and fireplace. Beautiful room! Comfortable bed. Wonderful coffee at breakfast! The Inn location was extremely convenient location, in walking distance to the beach, tasting rooms, great restaurants and breweries. We used the supplied bicycles to visit State St, the Mission and any other outlying areas. Great trip and we would stay here again!

Used BedandBreakfast.com for the first time to book a short stay in Santa Barbara. As we are from the east coast, we picked Eagle Inn from a list on the website. We were very happy with our choice. The Inn is very conveniently located two blocks from the beach so it is quite private, which we appreciate. The room was very nice with a wooded street view. Front desk people were very helpful with restaurant suggestions, etc. Breakfast was nicely presented in a very pleasant room with two choices each morning. I would definitely return to Eagle Inn.
Thank you for writing such a nice review. I am really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is great being so close to all the attractions and things to do in Santa Barbara.

The room had a lot of little faults (ceiling fan ticked all night, shower handle felt like it was about to fall off, air seemed to be on a timer and didn't come on till morning, curtains not black out, tub jets hard to turn on...) There were good things too (bed was very comfortable, room was spacious and clean, breakfast to the room was nice, bikes available to ride around town...) Unfortunately my wife woke up with food poisoning in the middle of the night, kind of ruined our one night getaway! That's obviously not the inns fault, but the fan ticking and lack of air didn't help her comfort in that situation....

My wife and I spent two nights in the San Clemente Casita the first weekend in March. The accommodations were very nice and the whirlpool tube in the bedroom was a cool and interesting feature. All the staff were very helpful. Despite the rain, our breakfast was delivered to our casita each morning. You can't beat the location of the Eagle Inn, easy walking distance of the Harbor, Wharf and Downtown Santa Barbara. Hope to stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in January and couldn't have been more pleased. Every detail was so thoughtful. They upgraded us to the nicest casita where we were met with chocolates, rose petals, and a card congratulating us on our celebration. Breakfasts were delicious, the staff was so helpful, free bikes were available to borrow for the day, fresh cookies, coffee, tea, and movies available at the front desk. We will definitely be back to celebrate an anniversary or two. Excellent value and great experience. Thank you Eagle inn!

We have stayed at the Eagle Inn on many occasions over the last few years. The location is excellent, in a lovely neighborhood of old Santa Barbara residences and Inns, with trees and gardens to admire along with the beautiful architecture. The Eagle Inn is just a block or so from the beach and an easy walk to the main wharf in town. It is also a close walk to State Street for shopping and restaurants. And what has worked very well for me is that it is close to the Amtrak station because sometimes I come down to Santa Barbara by train and I can easily pull my suitcase a few blocks over to the Inn. I have stayed in many of the rooms and with one exception they have all been lovely, comfortable, and roomy. Some have gas fireplaces and big tubs/Jacuzzi, and microwaves and refrigerators. Most have double showers. Beds are luxurious. Service from the friendly staff has always been excellent. Breakfast in the nice breakfast room is tasty, usually some kind of eggs or choice of cereal with fruit and juice. Cookies and tea/coffee are provided in the main lobby. I do need to say, that on this last trip I did not enjoy my room as much as on all my previous stays. It was a smaller room but that was not the problem. At night I heard noises, clanks, clicks, and pops and other such noises throughout the night, sometimes waking me up. I am guessing that I was located in room 211 near the Inn's heating system or plumbing system or something. I almost asked to change rooms for my second night, which I am sure they would have done for me because their customer service is great, but it was my own laziness, not wanting to pack up my things. So if you want a lovely stay in a fabulous location, good service and comfortable rooms, stay at the Eagle Inn, just avoid room 211!! I will go back again myself.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent. We were close enough to State Street and the wharf. The art museum, shopping and restaurants occupied our day, followed by a walk and aquarium visit on the wharf, although bicycles are available from the hotel. Breakfast at our hotel was exceptionally delicious, and good coffee was available in the morning and afternoon with yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies. Upon arriving home, unpacking and sleeping, my husband discovered that he left his pillow. We called the staff and they sent it back right away. Sweet dreams for us. We are planning a return visit to our new favorite hotel.
