This is the most beautiful B&B that I've ever been to. The rooms were very nicely decorated each with its own balcony that had a gorgeous view of the California gold country or the amazing well manicured property. Breakfast was delicious...I had mine on my balcony. The Ash's are beautiful people and I will definitely be taking my next R&R retreat at the Bella Vista. I was spoiled and pampered and I totally loved it.

We just had our wedding at Bella Oct. 12 and the venue, event coordinator and owners exceeded our expectations! Everything ran very smooth and our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Bella Vista is breathtaking and a relaxing place to stay. The owners are so sweet and so personable you really feel at home there. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and have our special day. Thank you so much Bella vista! Tim & Dana Lazorko

The rooms were charming, beautifully decorated and impeccable! All of the little details made it very special. There were wonderful bath products, and the kitchen had a variety of coffees and teas. The views were incredible! Coffee and pastries were put out for us early in the morning, and then we were served a gourmet breakfast. Kathleen and Bob were helpful and friendly, sharing information about the area. I felt like I was a special guest in their home! Would highly recommend and hope to go back someday!

My husband and I got away for the first time in years since we have two small kids. The Bella Vista was exactly what we needed. The view is memorizing, the pool is fun, the hot tub was wonderfull, breakfast was amazing (super filling). We would recommend anyone to stay there. We are even going to tell our friends to check it out for a wedding sight because it is gorgeous and would be very accommodating for a wedding party. We will be back for our next anniversary for sure!

Our stay at Bella Vista was an enjoyable experience. The home and food was excellent. Kathlee Ash was very hospitable and made us feel comfortable and relaxed right away. I would highly recommend Bella Vista as a #1 place to stay in Placerville.

Excellent location and amazing views. Pool side wine and cheese were the perfect ending after an eventful day spent white water rafting. Breakfast graciously served by Kathleen the following morning was enjoyed by all. Our two bedroom suite with its own living room and kitchenette gave us plenty of privacy and room to relax. We felt completely at home and cant wait to return. Far superior to any other local Bed and Breakfast.

Our stay at the Bella Vista B&B can only be described as magical! We only meant to have a weekend getaway to see my daughter, but our weekend at the Bella Vista turned into something magical. The room was spacious and immaculate. The view was breath taking. The ambiance was so romantic. The breakfast was fabulous. The packages offered were awesome. We selected to have a nice bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival and the romance package. Imagine rose pedals from the door leading to the bed, with candlelight's, soft music, and a fresh strawberry treats waiting for you when you return from a nice dinner. This is a must experience adventure for those in LOVE.

My wife and I just spent a night at the Bella Vista B&B and it exceeded any expectations we had. The website gives you a good idea of what awaits you but it can't do justice to the beautiful accommodations and the gorgeous views. What a setting! Kathleen made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and directed us to a great restaurant for dinner where we could celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast was an absolute delight- that lady can cook! The only regret we had was that we didn't have more time to spend out by the pool enjoying the view of the valley and river below. Next time we'll plan for 2 nights for sure. We've been to a lot of B&Bs over the years and this was simply the best!

This is our favorite place to stay in El Dorado County. We stay there every year for our anniversary. The decor, the staff, and the service make it the place that we enjoy. Jeff & Regina

A well kept secret in the Placerville Hills!!! Brought our 2 grand-kids & were surprised that this is a family friendly B & B. We don't find this to be the case at B & B's. Staff is exceptional & made us feel right at home. Will come back, especially in summer to have the kids use the pool, dying to use the slide. Great place for a special event, also!!!

A group of ladies from our church stayed at Bella Vista overnight for a leadership retreat. As soon as we arrived we received a tour by Ashley and quickly fell in love with the home, indoors AND out! Spectacular views, amazingly well-kept grounds, the sound of peaceful fountains and running water all make you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms and bathrooms are all well stocked, clean, and plush. There are mini-fridges in two of the rooms, and the downstairs suite has a great kitchenette (which we used for snacks and our gamenight). The breakfast in the morning was good, though I would consider it a light breakfast. Only down side this stay was that we would have liked to use the pool and hot tub (I was told they were both heated year-round), but they were too cold to use. The innkeeper and family here are amazingly generous, kind, and incredible hosts! Thank You, Bella Vista, we'll be back soon.

We were looking for a venue for our wedding and found this place on the internet. We immediately fell in love with it (we are in NJ). When we visited there in February for the first time, we knew it was the right decision as we drove up the drive way. It was breathtakingly beautiful even in February. We started thinking about how great it was going to be and our guests would enjoy the day here. Both Kathleen (owner) and Jordan (wedding planner) made us feel right at home. They went well beyond our expectations and made our dream wedding the best it could have asked for. We had the ceremony on the lovely lower green lawn and blue California sky. We had the cocktails and cheese on the fountain area and followed by the elegant reception on the terrace over looking the American River. Our guests have not stopped talking about how much fun and relaxed time they had. Needless to say the rooms were great. Our room was sooo romantic and very well appointed. So much that we plan to return next year for our anniversary. We could not have asked for a better place or better people for our wedding!!

The home was very nice. The bed was very comfortable as well. The hot tub had limited hours as they had to heat it up several hours prior to using. I wish it was more accessible for enjoyment throughout the stay if desired. It was probably more of a cost saving measure than anything. I expected a little more for a Bed and Breakfast for 300.00 per night, I have to be honest. A suggestion would be having say a wine and cheese evening hour especially being in wine/apple country would have been a nice welcoming touch. Overall, the owners were very nice.

The location is very good. Our room was small but cozy, very nicely furnished and pleasant. It had a charming deck which was a great place to eat breakfast and spend a lazy morning. The common rooms were nicely laid out and with an excellent view. Breakfast was excellent. The family was super nice, very helpful and does what it can to make their guests' stay enjoyable. Highly recommended. We will stay there again and try to do so every time we come to Placerville.

My five night stay at Bella Vista was both extremely productive and amazingly relaxing. While surrounded by nature and beauty, the Inn's WIFI afforded me the opportunity to communicate with my office in LA while sitting by the pool with a glass of wine and enjoying the breath-taking views of the American River meandering through the valley below. I highly recommend Bella Vista as a location to call home as you explore Gold Country.

This is a beautiful B&B located, literally, right in the middle of Gold Country. The first gold strike (it's now a must see state park) is less than 1 mile away. The pool is wonderful, even you do not swim because the grounds are beautiful and invite you to look out over the valley below. I spent a whole day with my book, my wife, and a great bottle of wine taking in the views. Deer roam the grounds every night. There are two outstanding wineries less than 1/2 mile away too! Nearby dining was both casual and 5 star, and our most gracious hosts dropped us off and picked us up so we did not have to drive the country roads at night after drinking wine on our anniversary. Bob and Kathleen are kind, caring, and just simply awesome! Can't wait to come back.

My husband and I took our "Babymoon" there before our second one comes and it was beyond wonderful. We stayed in the Bella Vista and it was amazing with just exceptional views of the mountains and the bathroom was HUGE!! The worst part was when we had to leave and i"m serious. This was by far the NICEST bed and breakfast I've stayed at and we go a couple times a year. I thought for what we paid it was well worth it and then some.Even the grounds where beautiful and the rock swimming pool with hot tub with the view of the mountains just wonderful!!! My only hope and that I can return there someday :)

My wife and I recently married in the Placerville area and stayed at Bella Vista for 3 days afterwards. The place is heaven on earth. I have never seen such care for property on a large beautiful landscape. Everything is perfect. I am usually very hard to please when it comes to accommodations, but I was blown away. There are so many areas to relax and take in the beautiful views. There were sounds of water features everywhere you go seeing as how they have 2 large ponds and a nice creek style waterfall. That is only in the front yard. Every room is beautifully decorated with vintage looking décor, done with absolute perfection. Every room is unique to the next as the décor was all hand picked by Kathleen. (I asked because the way it was done was so nice, I may have her do my house!) We stayed in a different room every night to see all of them. The Bella Vista Suite was my favorite; it had the most beautiful room with the most beautiful View of a breathtaking landscape. To top it all off, the owners Bob and Kathleen we perfect. They were the nicest people that seemed to not mind at all to cater to you. The breakfast differs day to day, and it tastes like they have 15 French chefs in the kitchen working round the clock :) They were the perfect host's. There are also so many things to do. Near the heart of Coloma, there are pubs, restaurants, a state park and little shops that seem stuck in time in the old Coloma center. I have never felt the urge write a review before, but I have only been home for 3 hours and here I am. I think this place is perfect, and I will be back very soon. Bob and Kathleen, if you are reading this. Thank you so much for everything!
