We stayed at the Green Gables Inn for our honeymoon in 1984. We came back for our 34th anniversary & had a great time. Everything was perfect from the staff, our room, breakfast, the views, & the neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back!

What a spot. Oh my we loved the balcony room and the fact that it's only accross the street from the ocean. The afternoon wine and snacks was amazing! Location is amazing. Would recommend to anyone!

Very clean and lovely house. Spectacular view of the ocean. Excellent breakfast and very nice afternoon wine and snacks. We rated the service low as we were disappointed with the lack of local area knowledge the staff has of things to do and places to go other than the obvious and well known. For example, no one knew about any local live theater which we found on our own and very close by. We were told the Lighthouse was only a one mile walk and it actually was three miles as a result we didn't get there on time to go inside the Lighthouse. People did not know about restaurants who serve Vegan food.

We stayed in the main house so it was convenient for the late night tea or cookie! The view from the sitting room of the water is amazing! We enjoyed eating afternoon snacks or breakfast and watch the otters play in the waves. The main house has central air, so if you prefer the room to be on the cooler side, you might need to open windows since the vents make a high pitch sound when closed.

We checked in for five days. Great location-by the ocean, walk into town and a quick drive to pebble and spyglass. Great cookies and scones.

Pretty sure I've already done this one, but no matter. Can never say enough good about the Four Sister group and Green Gables in particular. Perhaps because we like Pacific Grove and the Lover's Point area in particular, but could also be that the manager and staff here are just extra good...

Our Balcony room overlooked the ocean. What a spectacular view. The furnishings are beautiful, and the inn gives you the feeling that you belong here. The staff are very welcoming, and the delicious breakfast in the morning and treats in the afternoon are a plus.

We had a very enjoyable stay last week (late February 2018). The location is hard to beat, across the street from the water, a close walk to fisherman’s wharf & the aquarium & an easy walking distance to the shops in Pacific Grove. Carmel is a quick drive away. We had a partial view of the ocean from our room & balcony. The service is commendably excellent. Honey & Ivy were great, as was the service from everyone we encountered. The bathroom was beautiful & very clean. A small separate room for the toilet. The bathtub is immense and with jets. There is a separate shower stall with shampoo, conditioner & wash dispensers. The separate seating area has good lighting for reading, books & refrigerator The bed had nice linens & was very comfortable. There were also nice chairs by the gas fireplace. Our only complaint would be the heater was a little noisy.

This is our second time here. Perhaps this is the most romantic place in California for us! The first time we were here to celebrate the anniversary of our wedding. And this year we had the best Valentine's Day here! I'm sure we'll come back here again! Thank you!

Love many of the Four Sisters B&B's, but the combination of a most gracious manager, and being in P.G., within walking distance of Lover's Point, make this one our absolute favorite. Shame we can no longer stay in the larger Carriage House rooms, as they now have laminate flooring, which is layered with glue with a high formaldehyde content, which makes me very ill. This off-gassing may last as long as 7 years. Love the carpeted rooms in the original mansion though...

My daughter and I always stay in the Chapel room, with its view of the ocean, seals, and otters. We open the windows at night so that we can hear the waves. All the rooms are beautiful, as is the period furniture. The inn was decorated with such love! Breakfast is great. Half the time we buy fruit to supplement the wine and cheese and make a light dinner at the inn. And the front desk people are great, especially Honey, who shares my love of antique books.

My wife and I have stayed at the Green Gables several times and each visit is perfect. Honey and her crew are warm and welcoming, the room is always clean and wonderfully appointed, and let's get real, the night time cookies are a real value added to an otherwise great home away from home place to stay.
5 on February 07, 2018
My husband and I stayed here on a referral from my sister-in-law. The staff was very friendly and made sure we knew where everything was. We had hors d’oeuvres, wine, cookies, tea, coffee, and turn down service offered at no extra charge. Our view was absolutely gorgeous and we were perfectly located within walking distance from Cannery Row and beaches! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay... well other than maybe staying longer!! Thank you Green Gables and Four Sisters!

We had a fabulous time at the Green Gables Inn. We were very well looked after by their friendly team, Our room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast delicious, with a great and varied selection of hot and cold breakfast foods, fresh fruit, and gluten-free options. The view of the bay from the breakfast room was fabulous! Looking forward to staying with you again next time we visit Monterey Bay.
5 on February 04, 2018
What a beautiful place in such a convenient location! I have been to Monterey three times before and on my way to 17 mile drive to Carmel I always said one day I would stay there. I'm glad my wife an I finally did. What a great location! Walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row, restaurants and shopping. Easy, free parking. Right on the water with breath taking views with a path that takes you by seals, otters and dolphins. We sat right in front of the Inn on the bench watching the waves crash on the rocky shore. We decireat time! we decided to have a wave olympics for how much a wave covered the rocks, wave height and style. We didn't get back to the room until 11:30 that night...in between we went across the street to the Inn to get cookies. Warm and welcoming room and staff. It took me back to memories of my grandmothers house while sharing breakfast and conversations with other guests. Magical...and romantic! Don't pass it by like I did the first three times...stop and make your own memories! Say hello to the otters in the morning and enjoy the beauty of the bay!

I treated my daughter and her husband, who are visiting from Chile, to a room at Green Gables Inn and they had a wonderful time. They were there two years ago when they visited and were anxious to return. They were very impressed with the Inn Keeper who was very friendly and accommodating. They loved the snacks, cookies and amazing breakfast. I can't wait to bring my husband for a couple nights soon!

Truly one of the most remarkable places to stay on the west coast. The historical home looking over the dramatic Pacific Ocean with walking trails and sea delights is a fantastic experience. The outstanding condition of the home, the service, the breakfast, and daily delights before dinner and cookies make the entire stay one to remember. This has become a regular tradition for us.
4.4 on January 29, 2018
I had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The price was good, as I got the last minute discount from the website, and the location was supreme. The people are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. I wouldn't mind if they had wine glasses and opener in the room, but that would be my only suggestion.
4.8 on January 27, 2018
It was nice to have breakfast looking out to the ocean each morning. The staff was very friendly and we got to meet a few guests. Wine and cheese was a tasty treat before we went out dinner.

My husband and I visit every couple of years, and it like staying with family only better. I did find things a very little bit run down upstairs in the rooms, places where curtains use to be, mold and dirt on the windows, the bathroom needs to be re cocked around the tubs, just a lot of little things like that, which was a very big surprise, since this place is normally impeccable. However it had been raining and it is winter weather
5 on January 21, 2018
The home was outstanding, the views were sensational and the staff was super helpful. Ask for the bikes and enjoy riding the 18 miles of bike path along the ocean

We have stayed in the Lucy Suite 4 or five times to celebrate our birthdays. The suite is spacious and tastefully decorated. We are TV watchers and that small TV is not adequate for such a large room. Happy hour is more that adequate with the wines and cheeses, etc. Breakfast, however could use some meat based selections, sausage, bacon etc. This time the room was a bit cold and using the fireplace and space heater was inadequate. The main furnace never came on as has in past visits. They did offer another space heater but we declined as we thought they would turn on the furnace.

We stayed at this magnificent hotel on the 26th and 27th of December 2017. We were so well treated. The staff was so helpful and nice at any time! The house is just fantastic with all the old rooms. Every room has its own character. Always fresh cookies in the jar. We were treated with wine before dinnertime. You can borrow bikes for free which we really recommend. Breakfast was great!

This property is conveniently located in the heart of Monterey.
5 on January 03, 2018
This is a charming Victorian home immaculately furnished and maintained. I reserved room #1 The Balcony room, which surprisingly didn't have a balcony but what it had was so much more. The balcony had been walled in with a bank of windows overlooking Monterey Bay, and a day bed that was perfect for lounging in while enjoying the view. I peeked into room #2 as well and it was gorgeous with more room, and cut glass windows. Down below was wine and cheese and a welcoming fireplace. Well worth the modest price.

The Green Gables Inn in Pacific Grove , California is a perfectly set B&B with a spectacular view of the ocean. The rocky coastal shoreline and its rolling waves dashing against the rocks is a great sound to sleep by during the fall and winter. During the summer the ocean is flat. We stayed in the Garrett Room which along with the Balcony Room do not have an in room shower and toilet, so you just have to step out into the hallway and choose which of the two well maintained fully stocked bathrooms you wish to use, There is a sink and a mirror in each of these two rooms. All the other rooms are fully self contained, Our room also does not have a TV as few rooms did. I enjoyed not being tied to electronics while staying there, It made for a peaceful experience and we made new friends by actually speaking face to face with other guests, The staff was very nice and we encountered a few different staff members over the 3 days we were there. Breakfast, late afternoon wine and cheese and evening cookies are included in the price. Coffee and assorted Tea is available 24 hours. Great local restaurants are about 2 blocks away and a very easy walk to the quaint downtown area of Pacific Grove. Parking is free anywhere on the local streets because it is considered neighborhood parking. This is a great location to bring your bikes as there is an outstanding Bike path and a great walking path that goes for miles in both directions right on the shoreline! November is great for not having to deal with parking issues and the extensive tourist crowd that normally visits the Monterey Area. The Green Gables Inn is the place to stay during that time.

This was our 4th or 5th visit. We came here for our honeymoon, and have been fortunate to be able to return on several anniversaries. The inn is lovely, food is excellent, and could not be located in a more lovely setting. We enjoyed hearing the waves crashing from our room, as well as being walking distance from the water and nearby beach.

The location is perfect - beautiful ocean views, walking distance from Cannery Row, the aquarium, and in the other direction Lover's Point. The breakfast in the morning and wine + hors d'oeurves were fantastic. The fresh cookies, tea, and coffee at all times were the perfect cozy touch. We will definitely be coming back soon. :)

We stayed at the B&B for one night, and it was a grand time. The location is the best feature of the property. There is also much charm to the building overall. When we are passing through, we will be sure to make this a place to stay again.

We stayed for a special 3-days. We loved staying at Green Gables. We were walking distance from the Monterey Aquarium, shops and restaurants, but what we loved the most was being able to see and hear the sounds of the bay from our room. Sea Otters, Seals, many seabirds and the sounds of the waves. I love the smell of the kelp! It's the smell of the sea! We really enjoyed the fresh fruit, baked goods and entrees at breakfast too! Delicious! I would have given a 5 for the room, we just had one constructive criticism. Upon entering the room each time there was a bitter or pungent smell. I encourage GG to investigate hat. Otherwise, everything met or exceeded our expectations. We only wish we could have stayed longer... next time we will!

This quaint little inn was perfect for a little quiet time right on the water. We ate the delightful breakfast each morning overlooking the Monterey Bay. We were also lucky enough to have booked the Jennifer room which had its own bathroom in the room. ( A couple of the other rooms did not have the bathroom in the room but the other guest did not seem to mind) The staff were very friendly and helpful. A few restaurants were within walking distance (if you have good legs, the streets incline) Lastly, there is a beautiful walking path right in front of the inn that wraps around the water and made for some perfect pictures.

We really enjoyed celebrating two special birthdays at the Green Gables. Weather was great so we could sit in the window watching the sea life - saw whales, otters, and sea lions. Room was very comfortable, staff was quite nice and helpful when we needed anything. Parking is not great (have to park on the street except for one handicap spot) but the location is super.

The Green Gables is a perfect setting for a relaxing vacation getaway - our room had a wonderful view of the ocean, and this inn is in an excellent location for access to hiking, running, kayaking, etc. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
5 on August 03, 2017
The inn is located away from the tourist stream in Monterey... but one can easily walk into town. Our room and the dining areas had a wonderful view on the water and rocky shore. We asked for meal recommendations... and one very local place was one of the BEST meals we had on the whole trip.

Enjoyed a night in this beautiful inn with my college daughter. We were exploring California from LA to Yosemite to Monterey to LA. The inn was charming. Service relaxed and welcoming. We had everything we needed.in this beautiful setting. The location was wonderful. Beds could use a mattress topper and towels need some upgrading but overall was wonderful.

Lovely inn and the location just can't be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay and are looking forward to another visit. Green Gables is a lovely old home, with some very modern amenities (the bathroom was well equipped and relaxing). The service was excellent, they are efficient and eager to please. Breakfast had something for each of us, but frankly almost anything would taste good when you have that view! We walked everywhere we wanted to go (we loved the trolley service from the Aquarium), then came back in the afternoon and enjoyed the wine and cheese service. Our room was in the carriage house, on the third floor, which is not a climb for the unfit, but the view made it worth the effort. The very large seagulls crash landing on the roof at 5:30AM was disconcerting at first, but tolerable once you figure out what it is. A lovely way to spend our "birthday week" (they had balloons in our room!) and we certainly plan to do so again.

We loved staying at this beautiful old Inn. The decor is like a page out of Pride and Prejudice, complete with wonderful amenities such as delicious food, a very comfortable bed, and a waterfront view. We enjoyed a long walk before dinner on the walking path right in front of the Inn, and took lots of pictures of the amazing views!
4.6 on July 19, 2017
The green gables inn is quite enchanting. It overlooks the ocean. It is elegant and feels like stepping back in time. The only negative is the wine is really bad/cheap during the wine and apps hour. However, this has been consistent at all of the sisters inns.
4.8 on July 19, 2017
My daughter and I loved our stay in Pacific Grove at Green Gables Inn. The room couldn't have been cozier and it was the perfect break to a hectic stay in Southern Cal and San Francisco. I loved hearing the waves through our open windows and the seagulls didn't really bother me - I loved it! Our room had a window seat where we worked and napped!

Had the opportunity to stay on a Saturday night and this property could not be any more charming. Located across from the bay, the Green Gables had the location nailed. With the ocean and walking paths across the street and lots of dining options nearby, this site is perfect for a stay in Monterey or Pacific Beach. Decorated in turn of the century style, this place is great on the visuals. The check in was quick and the young lady could not have been more kind or professional. She offered to help with our luggage and gave us a tour of the property. She gave us the history of the house and let us know the time for breakfast. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room and seating offers views of the bay. Breakfast itself was disappointing, the only disappointment of the trip. Breakfast was cereals, breads, fruit with typical breakfast beverages offered. Only protein was boiled eggs. At the last Four Sisters we stayed at the had Eggs Benedict and the one before that, eggs and bacon. We ended up at McDonald's as we had a 6 hour drive. I would stay here but there are several more Four Sister Inns that we want to try.So maybe after that. The Four Sisters Inns are always staffed with great people and charming properties in great locales. Worth a visit.

I expected the food to be much better, considering the location and reputation of the site. Bigelow tea selections were under par and the orange juice was outdated.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for one night for a much needed getaway. Our stay there was wonderful - from the welcome we received, the beautiful room with a view, the shoreline path right across the street, the fresh baked cookies and the delicious breakfast. We have stayed in many B & B's and this was hands down one of our favoritest!
5 on June 22, 2017
We have stayed here over the years, and have stayed in each room upstairs at least once and outside. It is a wonderful weekend getaway, or longer. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. And, I mean always. Our room was so cute, and we sat in the livingroom and dining room enjoying the spectacular view of the ocean (which is right across the street, unobstructed. We also used their bikes and rode along the bike path to Asilimar. We caught the trail right across the street from the inn, If you don't feel like riding, it's a beautiful path.

We enjoyed our three night stay at Green Gables. The view is amazing, the location perfect. The only thing we would change is to have a tv in one of the rooms downstairs. Also, the bikes could use some care. All in all this is a great place to stay and enjoy the area.

We wanted to do something special for our 48th wedding anniversary and the Green Gables was the perfect choice. We stayed in room 10 on the third floor of the carriage house and had a great view of the ocean and sea life. It is a mini suite complete with a small deck for viewing the ocean, firelpace, Jacuzzi tub, sitting area and a king bed...very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, made reservations for us for dinner at several non tourist places that were excellent. The Inn itself is well appointed, clean and inviting. It is across the street from a wonderful pedestrian pathway that runs for miles so you can observe the ocean and sea life up close and sit on a beach without hundreds of people stepping all over you. It is a short walk to the aquarium and the fisherman's wharf area. Recommend Green Gables Inn highly !! highly

the inn is perfectly situated. It is a short walk to the aquarium and is across the street from an absolutely wonderful shoreline pathway that stretches for as far as you would want to walk. We found several beaches with no one else on them and just sat in the sand about 10 feet from the lapping ocean. the staff is great and very helpful recommending wonderful places for dinner. the cookies and coffee all day and cheese and crackers and wine were very welcome in the magnificent sitting rooms; the breakfast was wonderful and for a small fee they will bring it to your room . we stayed in room 10 in the carriage house that has a wonderful (partial) ocean view with a small deck to enjoy your wine and cheese while watching the pelicans and otters. Our room was a mini suite complete with fireplace, mini fridge, sitting area, Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, king bed. recommend highly !!

(The "outstanding" button did not work, unfortunately.) I love this place so much, I want to take it home with me! So does my daughter. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is great, it is heaven to go to see the ocean from our room and to go to sleep to the sound of the waves. And when we came home exhausted from a full day of seeing baby seals and whales and lovely shops, there were chocolates on our bed and a teddy bear lying on his stomach reading a 1940's book, "Inside the CIA." Our only problem was that we had trouble finding it -- apparently it wasn't clear on the web site and we ended up at the corporate office. Some day I may try another B&B in the Four Sisters' group. For now, I am happy here. Jean Riseman

We love visiting and come every year. The only comments would be too many carbs for breakfast and nit enough protein offerings (spouse is diabetic), but vey tasty! We've also been bothered by the outside lights when trying to sleep, even with shades pulled. Minor things, really, compared to the gorgeous location, beautiful rooms, and lovely staff. We'll be back again...always feel "at home" at Green Gables Inn.

My sister and I came to Green Gables, as we try to do annually, for a weekend of knitting and writing. It was its usual blissfully comfortable retreat, and we had a wonderful time. The Green Gables Inn is one of my favourite places in the entire world - I like to come here just to be in the wonderful rooms and relax. I am a writer, and being here always produces several hundred words of good copy, written while I look out the window at the sea. It's like a vacation in the suburbs of Paradise.

We had a great time at the Green Gables Inn over the New Year's Holiday. The location couldn't be better and the inn is just a lovely place to be. My only request would be to have better options for breakfast - more protein and veggies (how about an egg vegetable dish) and less carbs. Even more fruit and yogurt would be simple and much appreciated. But still, it was a delightful time!

3.6 on December 30, 2016
The location is great, the decor is historic, and we expected and received great service and a great breakfast. Our only complaint was the 2 upstairs rooms we had in the main house, while great ocean views, were extremely cold during the night. The heat was obviously turned off, or way down. It came back on at 6am. The 3rd room we had in the carriage house was toasty warm.

One of our favorite bed and breakfast spots. It has wonderful views of the ocean, a fine and courteous staff. When ever we are traveling in the area, we try to stay at the Green Gables.
5 on December 24, 2016
We felt extremely well cared for during our recent stay by the caring staff. Our room was large, clean, and very well appointed (including a gas fireplace). Included are wonderful breakfasts, wine and cheese in the afternoons, freshly-baked cookies at night, and coffee and tea around the clock. The Inn offers free bicycles. It is right on the water, and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.

Lovely location right on Monterey Bay--can't be beat. This is a fabulous place. The rooms vary a great deal--each have quaint qualities. The food is fine/ adequate, but not outstanding. Buffet style breakfast. This was a 2nd stay at this location. We will definitely return.

We really enjoyed the stay at Green Gables. My wife was happy with the Birthday's celebration. For sure we will be back.
3.6 on November 17, 2016
We have stayed at Green Gables several times. We love the inn, the rooms, the service and of course the location. We were disappointed this time in the breakfast. We stay in many B&Bs but breakfast both days were not up to par. The muffins one day were dry and slightly burnt, limited fruit (we actually went and bought fruit to supplement), egg dish one day was cold...etc.
5 on November 10, 2016
Great ocean views from the living area and our room. Pleasant staff. Honey is a great asset to your organization. She is very helpful with local resturants and discounts for future stays.

This is a charming spot in a fabulous location. Don't expect Marriott-type amenities; it's an historic old house. Perfect place to unplug and relax.

5 on October 10, 2016
The Innkeepers are all phenomenal, the chef, Ophelia, is wonderful, and the whole team makes you feel like you are a part of the family. The location is the best! just over .25 mile walk to the Aquarium, you are ON the water, walking paths, walk to restaurants, shops, etc.

We've enjoyed our three-day stay very much. The location is just perfect in front of one of the nicest spots along the coast of Monterey Bay. Breakfast and afternoon hors d'œuvre are excellent with a good variety. Staff is always helpful and make you feel comfortable. Our room was tiny and a little bit (historically) "smelly", but cute. Sharing the bathroom worked out well. We enjoyed renting bikes (for free) for the 17-mile drive, such a scenic tour! Hope to return one day! Clear recommendation!
3.8 on October 07, 2016
Delightful room. Especially the day bed on risers in balcony for full advantage of the view. A warm and inviting B & B. The afternoon hors d'ouerves nicely presented as was breakfast fresh fruit; though the quiche was too salty to eat. Higher quality sheets would be nicer, but bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms spotlessly clean with luxurious towels.

My wife and I love to stay at the Green Gables. It's warm and inviting, and so close to Lover's Point and the aquarium. We love to get on the Inn's bicycles and ride to the wharf. This is our "go to" place to relax and recharge.

I wanted to surprised my boyfriend on his birthday. We loved the view and the cozy bedroom with fireplace and Jacuzzi. The hotel was waiting for us with balloons and champagne. We walked at the beach, enjoyed riding bikes and had a vegetarian dinner at Julia's of course, we want to come back!

This was our 8th visit to Green Gables (from UK). Little changes, with gorgeous views, unique rooms and an old world air and calmness about the place. Perhaps a little upgrading in some areas would enhance the stay even more..

This was our first time to the Green Gables Inn and found the place very charming. The best part of our stay was the view! The location made it possible to explore on foot. Everything we desired was within walking distance. The eateries near by were all outstanding! The Inn made our four year anniversary trip very special!

Our daughter has moved to the Monterey area and we love to visit her and especially stay at the Green Gables Inn. The rooms are beautiful comfortable and convenient. The breakfast is fabulous as well as afternoon wine and appetizers and cookies and Cognac in the evening. Customer service is top notch as well.
3.8 on July 09, 2016
Usually when we are in Pacific Grove, we stay with good friends, but they were on the verge of a family trip, so we tried the Green Gabel Inn. What a wonderful place! We had a room in the carriage house on the second floor, so we had an ocean view through the trees from the room and the sitting area right outside our room. Ocean views, however small or obstructed, are always a plus for us. Our room was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the room actually had two sitting areas. There was also a small refrigerator, which was a good supplement to the ice chest from our two-week trip. Breakfast was served in the main house and consisted of an egg dish or pancakes, fruit and pastries. Coffee and teas are available all day, with cookies in the afternoon and evenings. There is also wine and hors d’oeuvres before dinnertime. We liked that the downtown restaurants were within walking distance, as was the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The oceanfront walking and bike paths across the street run south toward Carmel and north into Monterey. If our friends are again traveling or have a full house, we’ll definitely return to the Green Gables Inn.

Beautiful, stately home with a nice buffet breakfast including hot items. Great ocean view and walking path in front of the property with plenty of available street parking. Shower pressure was average and water temperature shifted quickly. If in main building, note the stairs to the 2nd floor are narrow and steep so could be challenging for some. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and would stay here again.

Incredibly beautiful views. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast, wine and cheese. A+++.
4.6 on May 13, 2016
We stayed here as the second half of our anniversary trip. We had a couple of days to spend and enjoyed every aspect of this property. It is right on the ocean with plenty of parking. There are great trails that run up and down the ocean and can take you right to Canary row. The building is gorgeous and perfectly maintained. The historic feel of the home is maintained and it feels cozy and comfortable. We stayed in the carriage house room. It was a large room with plenty of lounging area. It had a view of the ocean and lots of windows to enjoy the weather and listen to the water. The staff were all great and very helpful. They accommodated every request we had. We used the bikes they have available and although in need of service, they were good enough to get us around. This is also close to the 17mile drive which is a neat thing to do. I highly recommend this GEM.

This property better than I expected, with beautiful victorian style house with Williams-sonoma style upgrades, and the property is in mint condition, very well maintained by its professional staff. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again when we are in town! Slightly low points for dining since there is no dining options on-premise, but i enjoyed breakfast and wine and evening cookies.

I spent 2 days in this property for our first anniversary. We were in room1 which had a morning room directly overlooking the ocean. This the best room for the views and it is totally worth the price! My wife was more than over joyed looking at the room. The service was great. They had us checked in 5 minutes and gave the tour of the property and all amenities available for us. We had Hors d'oeuvre with wine and had a great evening before our dinner reservations. The management took care of the reservation for dinner. The property had bikes to loan the coastal trail is few feet away. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy the views and a quiet and romantic time. I would definitely come back to this place!

Honey, the host, was outstanding. She made sure my husband had his favorite breakfast for his birthday morning. She answered a lot of questions and made recommendations for our dinner selection. We have stayed at seven Gables in the past but have decided this is our new place :-) Side note: I already did an extensive review of this property and have continued to get reminder notices and a final reminder notice now. Not sure what the glitches but you might want to look into it. Kind of annoying

Had a quick getaway 3 days with my spouse, and surprised her with stay at Green Gables. The stay exceeded my expectations, and had to record the sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks in front of the GG to bring home with us. We will be back, and already decided we will reserve the same great room and continue to build great memories.

Took a three night stay, for which they offered a great discount on the room. Great location, directly across the street from the bay, great views from most rooms. Very close to the Aquarium and Cannery Row, easily walkable. Staff is courteous and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again. The only possible negative, they need to pour a better grade of wine for the evening respite. There are many inexpensive wines available that are very good instead of what was offered.
5 on November 19, 2015
This place is perfectly placed between the aquarium and Pebble Beach. Want to shop? No problem. Want to golf? Got you covered. Want to just walk along the seashore on a moonlit night? It's all yours. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast far surpasses anything you might get in town. And did I forget to mention the afternoon tea. Superbly done.

We stayed in one of the Carriage House rooms, which was large and with a lovely view and a great fireplace. The jetted tub fits two easily. The house is an charmingly old and beautiful -- like a B&B should be in a historic home. The staff were attentive, friendly and fun. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location -- right across the street from beautiful coastline and within walking distance of many great restaurants and the Aquarium -- cannot be beat.

We loved our too short stay at Green Gables Inn. The location was perfect for our needs. The actual setting was exquisite with the view out over the beach and path. The afternoon "tea" was delicious and expansive with wine/coffee/tea, cheese, salad, soup and crackers. The welcome hospitality and request accommodations were very special. The room amenities included robes. Cannery Row was just a short drive away. Unless you are averse to sharing large and elegant bathrooms, Green Gables is perfect for a Monterey stay..

Do be aware that stairs may be necessary, and there are no ensuite bathrooms.

The last time we stayed at the Green Gables Inn was 15 years ago. We had loved our experience so much that when I found out we would be returning to the area this summer, I just knew we had to stay there again. I was a bit nervous that we might be disappointed because our memory of the Green Gables was just so perfect, but as soon as we arrived I knew my worries were for all for nothing. I can honestly say that the Green Gables Inn is my favorite bed and breakfast inn, and we stay at a lot of B&Bs. It is our favorite way to travel. Our rooms were beautiful and the views from our windows were just magnificent. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful and the staff was excellent. My son has Celiac disease and they went out of their way to make sure there were gluten free options for him at breakfast and at the afternoon wine and hors doeuvres served from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. They even had gluten free chocolate chip cookies for him! They gave us fabulous restaurant recommendations for dinner. We used their bikes to ride up and down the coastline, which is stunning. Breakfasts were delicious and substantial. Afternoon appetizers were quite good and so substantial that we didn't need to order appetizers when we went out for dinner later. If you can arrange a stay at the Green Gables Inn I highly recommend it. Being from the East Coast, it will be a while before we return, but it is a place I will visit again and again.

Breakfasts are exceptional and the location across the street from the water can't be beat! A little on the expensive side if you're on a tight budget but I like the laid back happy hour in the evenings. A close walk to el vecchio and vivoli's chowder house, too. Some staff are nicer and more helpful than others. We'll return in October to stay in the main house.

Service and food was wonderful. Extras like turn-down service, the little chocolates, cookies, tea/coffee, etc.. was great. We will cross the country again just to stay there.

My wife and I spent 3 days at the Green Gables Inn as part of our 5th anniversary trip. We can't say enough great things about the experience! First the location in Pacific Grove is outstanding - the views of the ocean in the morning for breakfast are breathtaking and we loved having access to the bike path both for our morning runs and evening walks. Second the service at the Inn is outstanding - the breakfast, cookies, and wine hour are all top notch for food quality. And the recommendations by Ivy for restaurants were outstanding and walkable from the Inn (definitely try Il Vecchio). We took full advantage of the views, the awesome rooms (with cozy fireplace and view of the ocean), and cookies/coffee. Our only regret is we didn't take out the free bicyles they have on site - but we'll do that on our next visit. It was a great place to stay for our time on the Monterey Penn and although the prices look fairly high - the inclusion of full breakfast + snacks and happy hour as well as the location make it well worth it.

My husband and I spent a wonderful 37th anniversary celebration at the Green Gables Inn! Anniversary balloons awaited us in our cozy and comfortable room! The staff was extremely helpful with dining suggestions and the cookies were yummy! Much appreciation to Honey who graciously mailed my jacket to me! Such personal attention was lavished on us in many ways! Thanks for a wonderful memory!

I first stayed at Green Gables nearly 30 years ago and have enjoyed my stays there over the years for special events and weekend getaways. The location is absolutely amazing, with goreous views of waves crashing on rocks visible from our guest room. The accommodations are charming and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the afternoon appetizers and morning breakfasts delicious and satisfying. Green Gables continues to be at the top of my list of B and B destinations!

We loved our stay at the Green Gables. The location was perfect - right on the water and very picturesque and easy to walk to many different restaurants and attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful; our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Green Gables Inn... it was outstanding! We walked & rode bikes all over the area! We recommend this Inn!

The Inn is in a great location to visit Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove. The Staff was the best. They were very accommodating and quick with service. A fantastic view of the bay. Rooms were clean and well appointed. We had a great visit and extended another night because of the service.

We have been staying at the Four Sisters Inns for the past ten years+ and have always had a wonderful time.

I had zero complaints about my recent stay at the Green Gables Inn. My only comment is that as I was on the bottom level of the Carriage House and the floors seemed rather thin. I had to wake up when my upstairs neighbors were up as I could hear them crossing the floor over and over again. I would suggest asking for a room on the top floor as this is an older building. Everything else was lovely.
5 on March 23, 2015
Room was comfortable and well decorated, the common areas inviting, breakfast very good and the location beautiful. The staff was friendly and accomodating and we appreciated the wine and cheese they provided even though we arrived after the stated serving time. Definitely a "go to" place if we're back in the area.

My mother and I stayed in the Lacy Suite which was nice and roomy. The afternoon reception was great with more than just cheese and wine. Breakfast was good and the views whole dinning are great. I would stay here again if I return to the area.

The location is fantastic. A five minute walk from the Aquarium. The place is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is ok. Our room had a view of the shoreline which is just across the street. It was a real treat to be sitting our room, watching and listening to the waves break over the rocks.

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at the green gables inn! It completely exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was amazing. The inn keepers were incredibly accommodating. The food was delicious and the location! It's located In the most perfect spot along the coast in Monterey. We stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor of the cottage house. We had our own bathroom with a big jacuzzi tub and a fire place. We absolutely loved it! We could hear the waves crash all night long and we could keep the windows open in January! It truly was the most perfect stay, the food, the view, the service, the room. It was all too good to be true, especially for the price! We will definitely be back and we have already recommended it to friends and family :)

Recently stayed here in February and was disappointed. The location could not be better. You have a terrific view from the main house of the Pacific and 17-Mile Drive and Carmel (two must sees) are very close by. However, Canary Row was a huge disappointment (I should have known better), and there was no place to go for dinner in Monterey/Pacific Grove after 8 PM. Our innkeepers were nice and the facilities clean but very dated. The decor was little too Victorian for my taste. Breakfast was plain and unimaginative: cold cereal, juice, and scrambled eggs.
3.8 on February 05, 2015
We stayed here for our honeymoon 25 years ago. Decided to return for our 25th. Our stay was great. The arrival reception was great. We had a room that overlooked the ocean. They serve a continental breakfast each morning which each day included a hot item which was well presented. Staff was great. We will definitely be back for future anniversaries.
5 on January 25, 2015
We stayed in the carriage house... view of the ocean was amazing (they say it is only a partial view). We spent the afternoon watching two deer which hang out nearby. We only ended up eating two lunches out as the breakfasts and evening "appetizers" and wine were plenty. The Jacuzzi tub was so enjoyable. Would DEFINITELY go back.
5 on January 21, 2015
We loved it. Rosie helped us check in, but even before check in the service was amazing. We bought the package that included dinner and Rosie emailed me, asked if it was a special occasion and made a reservation for us for dinner. We walked in to balloons in our room and a view of the bay! The food was delicious and everyone was great. I am definitely coming back!

We stayed at the Green Gables Inn last week and found it to be delightful in every way. We booked the Lacy suite and were more than impressed when we arrived to the beautiful decor and amenities the suite offered. From the parlor area to the bed and bath area, it was truly remarkable. The huge oak armoire and four-poster bed were amazing. The only slight problem for some might have been the voices heard in the kitchen from our bathroom. Definitely not worthy of anything less than outstanding ratings from us.
5 on November 23, 2014
The room was spacious, the view was spectacular and the staff were wonderful. We stayed two nights and really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived. The h'ordourves and wine were great as was the cookies at bedtime. Cozy fireplace in the living room and great linens on the bed. I would highly recommend this establishment. Lovely, lovely place.
3.4 on November 22, 2014
We have celebrated two anniversaries here. This was our 40th. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a room with its own bathroom this time. We have also shared a bathroom here before, and it was always easily available with no problems. We have always stayed in the main house, so cannot tell you about the back guest houses. The view is magnificent from the dining areas. Breakfast was simple with good oatmeal daily, and small bites of fresh fruit. Quiche was pretty good one day, ready made pancakes with hard boiled eggs second day. We enjoyed our wine and cheese in the evening, and seemed to always get a great ocean view window seat. Yummy cookies at bedtime. The free turn down service included a white rose and chocolates. We were able to walk to the aquarium from here. It is about a half mile along the ocean. Lounge with fireplace and comfy sofas has all the local menus, and staff is happy to give suggestions. We will definitely return!
4.0 on November 16, 2014
We booked the most inexpensive room at this B&B. It was almost a third less than all their other rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was nice, quiet and clean. The 'Garret Room' would be an EXCELLENT room for a single guest... but is a little cramped for a couple. Having said that, the shared bathrooms are right next to it and no noise was heard from people using them. There is also plenty of common area to spend time in, viz., the living and dining room areas! The staff is remarkable and very accommodating to the guests needs. Our biggest disappointment was the limited breakfast selection. The quality of the food was good, but the first day the 'entree' choice was only oatmeal or hard boiled eggs. There were plenty of bread items, fresh fruit etc. the second day they had scrambled eggs instead of oatmeal. In the afternoon they put out a nice assortment of cheeses, crackers and palatable wine. In the evenings they provide another after dinner wine and cookies. We missed this both nights because we were out at dinner . We really enjoyed the company of the other guests who we chatted with in the common areas. One couple we talked with has been going there regularly for over 10 years and the woman commented that she thought the food offerings had been lessening in quality for several years. She also said she wasn't going to mention it... because it was still 'OK'. I told her that her comments would be valuable because she's a regular and who is better to comment? We wiould definitely consider staying here again- just in any other room. Great location, very pleasant and helpful staff.
4.8 on November 15, 2014
We were overwhelmed by an apartment-size room with extravagantly laid out bath/shower and toilet facilities - with a view of the ocean. However we missed at least a small refrigerator in the room, though there was one in the main house for ALL guests to share. Every day we had a different - delicious - breakfast. The same applies to the afternoon appetizers.
5 on November 10, 2014
The location of the Green Gables Inn is stunning and our room was quite lovely. The staff were very helpful and professional and we can't wait to return.
5 on November 02, 2014
As always, a comfortable and welcoming night at Green Gables. Stayed in Garrett, fell asleep in the big comfortable bed to the sounds of the waves just outside. Both room and bathrooms were immaculate, plenty of coffee and really good fresh fruit included in breakfast, and there is no prettier place in Pacific Grove to have breakfast than the parlor of Green Gables.
5 on October 28, 2014
We stayed in the Lacy Suite in the main house which had a comfy king size bed and a large private sitting room with gas fireplace. The antique furniture and decor brought this beautiful historic home to life. The location is perfect- right on the water. Eating breakfast while looking out over the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking. Hors d'oeuvres, along with red and white wine, were a welcomed afternoon treat. The day was topped off by Sherry and freshly baked cookies served in the evening. The staff was friendly and welcoming and shared stories about the family owned inn. It was an easy walk along the bike/ walking path to Cannery Row. While we were in Pacific Grove, I searched out other inns i had considered and was so happy i had chosen Green Gables. It was the perfect choice.
4.2 on October 27, 2014
We really enjoy Green Gables Inn. The location is amazing, just across the street from the Pacific Ocean. They offered free bicycles, free breakfast and also a free happy hour with cheeses and wine. Decoration is original from the opening year of 1888. The atmosphere is great with nice ambience music the whole day. Cleanliness could be better - the glass windows were not very clean and had some spider's net.
4.2 on October 25, 2014
We had a relaxing time at the Inn and staff were very helpful and made our stay memorable. My husband loved the architecture of the building and I loved the view and proximity to everything.
5 on October 25, 2014
We spend just one night in Green Gables due to our California trip and we're very sad to leave this place after so short time. The service was excellent (Susan is a great host) and also the food at afternoon was prepared with a lot of love. We enjoyed our stay and we' d book it again.
5 on October 11, 2014
Delightful 1-night stay in a charming historic house. We knew in advance that we would have to share the bathroom with other people. It's never been a problem. There are 2 bathrooms on the same floor. Nice cookies. Really easy to park in the area. Nice to have the opportunity to borrow a bike. We would definitely recommend this place for you staying in Monterey, especially if you like dolls and teddy bears!

Very nice room. Great Staff. Great Location. A much needed respit enjoyed by both of us.
3.8 on October 03, 2014
We noticed a few things that were different: There was dust on the top of the curtains in the bathroom, and the bedroom window areas were dusty. Also, the bathroom had a chipped soap dish. There is usually bacon included in the breakfast, and the sherry was taken away earlier. The small table in front of the window where we sat was different and the leg on either side hit in the middle of our chair/legs, so had to move the chair to sit comfortably, but the place-setting was then askew. Nothing earth-shattering, but noticeable to us since we've stayed with you several times, and since the prices went up a bit. We still love staying with you!
3.2 on September 30, 2014
The building is incredible and I have been a fan of this place forever! However, the décor looks very tired, the caretaker was neither friendly or rude just kinda NO personality. For a special house like this, you want someone who acts like they actually like their job!
4.0 on September 24, 2014
The little extras like a great breakfast means a lot- The poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce over vegetables and hash browns were a wonderful start- add bagels, assorted breads and home made mini muffins + yogurt, cereal, fresh sliced fruit and coffee- who could want anything else?! Honey is the grounding force of the place- she greets you when you check and is at the front desk day and night to help with all your needs. She even mailed me my favorite pillow I left in the room by mistake. Place was being painted while we were there and painters did not make us feel uncomfortable. Rented two rooms with king sized beds plus a pull out sofa bed and extra pad on bed made sleeping on the pull out rather comfortable. Fireplace in room was nice addition to chilly morning. Big screen tv in both rooms rented. Bathrooms large with double sinks, shower and soaker tub. Peek view to ocean with outside patio tables perfect for sunset cocktails- note: wine was served in the evening and we did not attend. We did go down for nightly cookies in the two cookie jars- homemade and delicious. Turn down bed service upon request with a rose and chocolate on our pillows. I went with my mother for a 2 night visit to Monterey and Pacific Grove, next time I will bring my husband.

loved the inn and in a perfect location...our only small complaint, is the room could smell fresher... it is an older home, converted to an Inn, and it is wonderful, but there is a smell of old wood, or something that could be refreshed...

The Green Gables Inn is a dramatic house itself. Our room was much larger than I expected and was very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff and other guests were so friendly. I can't think of anything that would have made our 2 night stay better - other than staying longer.

We were welcomed by the manager of the inn and she showed us around and told us a few things about the place. She was very welcoming and nice. Our room was amazing. A former chapel which was transformed into a bedroom. The view was amazing as well. We could see otters and sea lions and also a majestic view of the bay. Even though the bathrooms were shared, that never caused any problem. They were spotless clean. The breakfast, the appetizers and the wine were delicious. Thank you Green Gables Inn!

Staying in The Green Gables Inn is like living in a dream. Friendly people, wonderfull rooms, supernice house, very nice breakfast and wining. A good reason for us to travel all the way from Europe to show our kids all those bears and lovely food and atmosphere and most of all the spectaculair view on the Pacific!

We stayed in the Lacey Ste. Pro: It is on the first floor and is very roomy, clean and charming. Lovely fireplace for added ambience. The location cannot be beat. We walked easily and safely, to Cannery Row/Aquarium, as well as to central Pacific Grove where restaurants are. There are plentiful street parking (a surprise.) Con: This room has no direct ocean view but this did not bother us because we were mostly out during the day. Little to nonexistent host-guest interaction, but we did not mind this because we are not chit-chatty people, and we did not attend the afternoon tea time. Definitely would stay in the same room again!

We visitoors, from South Carolina had a delightful visit at the Green Gables at Pacific Grove. It was within walkin distance of restaurents and attractions. The breakfasts were awesome , friendliness abounded ,helped with local attractions, and an overall wonderful visit to Pacific Grove.

We found this B & B rather by accident and are so glad we did! Fantastic and very helpful staff, very clean and quiet rooms, breakfast and afternoon snacks were very good (plus the complimentary wine and Sherry were a nice added touch), and literally right across the street from the ocean. It was perfect for a nice weekend outside of the city
3.6 on August 13, 2014
Our room, Lacy Suite, was not what I would consider traditional. Located literally next to the front door, you'd think it was the house library or sitting room. It had a library of books, fireplace, a tv placed on a stand, a couch with an ottoman, and in the next room was a poster sized king bed, but can be closed off with a sliding partition. This Inn had many nice touches from placing "birthday" balloons in our room for Stephen, had a nice "Happy hour" buffet at 4:30 pm, which included wine, cheese, and other tasty snacks, to the cookies at night (snickerdoodles and chocolate chips). We missed the sherry, which I guess ended at 8:00 pm. The breakfast was adequate. It wasn't the most "gourmet" but they did provide a buffet that had something for everyone, from fruit, oatmeal, bacon, eggs, French toast, bagels, yogurt, and such. At night, after the beach tourist leaves, you can find parking. During the day, we circled the block once to find a spot located at the top of the street.

This lovely Victorian inn is located across from the bay. Our room was very clean, though small - with a hall bath, Afternoon snacks and breakfast were lovely and staff was very accommodating. Thought it was worth giving up the private bathroom for the view but there really was no place to sit in the room and watch the water. Also the street noise was more than we anticipated. Next time would take a back room with a private bathroom.
3.6 on July 16, 2014
This is a great place to stay for location if you want beautiful ocean views. We stayed in the Balcony Room and loved hearing the ocean surf as we went to sleep each night...and the view is fantastic. The inn is very clean and sharing a couple of bathrooms with two other bedrooms was not a problem. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special; we were well aware this would be the case from reading reviews in advance. This property is located in a residential neighborhood, so it is short walk to the closest restaurants (~1/2 mile).

Excellent experience. The location in front of the ocean with fantastic views is outstanding. The rooms are very good. The wine and food in the evening is very tasty and good quality, as it is the breakfast. The best is the service. The staff was always ready to make reservations and recommendations. I have stayed at 3 of the Four Sisters B&B and they are excellent. Luis Mesa

The Green Gables Inn was a pleasant place to stay, with a beautiful location, easy walking distance to dining and shopping and right across the street from the coastline walk that's so wonderful in Pacific Grove. The breakfasts were perfunctory, a buffet of oatmeal, pastries, and some egg dish, and the white wine for the afternoon hors d'oeuvres was sweet and undrinkable.

I stayed at the Green Gables Inn for the first time recently. My room was wonderful, the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was very good both mornings. A wonderful inn that truly reflects the beauty that is Pacific Grove and Monterey peninsula. A stones throw from the water and from the walking trail that was once the railroad line, this inn will make you want to come back for another relaxing stay. The staff is warm and inviting, and the breakfast recipes to be longed for once you leave. This is the first of the Four Sisters Inns, and we recommend that you try all of them.

We stayed last year for our anniversary and this year we sent my Mother in law for her birthday. We fell in love with the Chapel room, and Mom truly enjoyed the Garrette room. I would heartily suggest The Green Gables Inn to anyone wanting to visit in Monteray.

We absolutely love Green Gables! This was a return visit for us. (We first visited 18 months ago.) The views, the service, the cozy room, the tasty treats in the evening --all are special. We were also surprised by balloons, a rose and truffles in our room to celebrate our anniversary, which made our visit especially nice. We stayed in the Garrett Room and upon arrival, the room had an unpleasant sewer-like odor. Susan treated our sink drain and the tub drain in the adjoining bathroom, and after several hours, the odor was gone. Thanks for the help, Susan! Our home is in Florida, but we will definitely be back for a stay in the future.

My husband and I spent our first anniversary here, and everything was perfect! The employees at Green Gables went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast and wine/hors d'oeuvres were tasty, and cut down on food costs! Green Gables is in a perfect location. It's right on the water and within a short walking distance of Cannery Row, the aquarium, and downtown Pacific Grove. I highly recommend Green Gables, and would definitely go back myself!

My husband and I traveled from Pennsylvania to visit some family, and to take a much anticipated drive up US-1 from San Diego to San Francisco. The Green Gables Inn was recommended to us by family, and I was thrilled to find out that they accepted the B&B.com gift certificate that our children had given us. What a beautiful gem on Monterey Bay!! We arrived a little later than expected, but they kept the appetizers and wine out so we could relax and unwind from our long drive. The views from the dining room are just stunning!! It had just rained a bit, and we were treated to a giant rainbow over the ocean! I will never forget that! We stayed in a beautiful room with a fireplace and a four poster bed. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, drinking our wine. The fresh baked cookies and sherry are put out in the dining room each evening...just a special little treat. The morning breakfast is served buffet style, and is just delicious. The best part of breakfast is the beautiful view of the waves crashing on the rocks just outside. We took a long walk along the ocean before we checked out. We can see why The Green Gables Inn is one of California's best B&Bs!

We stayed unfortunately only one night but we would have loved to stay longer. This is a wonderfully appointed place, oozing charm with being either cutesy or kitschig. The breakfast was lovely and the cookies and tea and the port in the evening. And the location just across the road from the rock shore was ideal -- We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves on the rocks, which for us is always a delight.

We've been visiting Green Gables every year since 1989 and it is the highlight of our year. The beauty of the location, the historic home, the wonderful food, and friendly staff combine to make Green Gables our preferred location for a peaceful getaway.

My husband and I stayed at the Green Gables Inn for our anniversary. We found the setting to be tranquil and the staff warm and friendly. We will certainly be back for some much needed romantic time!

All amenities were well-done. The concierge was very attentive, and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. She even called a local restaurant for us to check how late they would be serving dinner. Other reviewers mentioned the carpet wearing out. Please remember, this is a 120+ year old house. As long as it's not a safety hazard, I consider it to be "character". They recently hired a new cook, who is an absolutely marvelous baker! Being right on the water, we enjoyed hearing the ocean waves at night. Thanks for making our stay the best! Next time, we'll have to stay longer.

Green Gables Inn is cosy and charming. Staff is very kind. My room, Garret Guestroom, was too narrow and full of things (cuschions, curtains, puppets), but the other rooms were wide and bright. Breakfast was enjoyable with lot of choice. Place was beautiful, even if the weather is awful.

My Husband took me to the Green Gables inn for my birthday. We spent 3 nights there 1 night in the gable room and 2 nights in the Carriage house rooms. They gable room was just gorgeous and the view was to die for. I loved the loft. The next 2 nights we spent in the carriage house and I do have to say it was amazing. The service was awesome and the food was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the property is very clean. I would love to go back again.

This place is lovely. We stayed in a room with a fireplace/library and ocean views. The food is delicious and the cookies and cakes at night are also delicious. We will be back when we go up the Coast.

I've stayed in three of the delightful rooms at the Green Gables in, and each offers something special. In addition to a view of one of prettiest spots on earth, the Gable Room features a little attic accessed by a ladder from the main room. It's the perfect place to read while reclining on the cushioned ledge, gazing out at another great view. Their afternoon wine and cheese spread is always scrumptious, and the ever-present coffee, sodas and sherry are a lovely extra. The perfect place for a romantic getaway.

This was a cute little bed and breakfast, but the rooms definetly needed updating. The fabrics were worn and faded, the one chair in the room had cushions that were ripped and the paint was peeling around the windows and walls. The breakfast was unlike any other b&b we had ever stayed in. It was a continental type breakfast, unimaginative and uninspired. You even toasted your own bread!! Coffee was often cold just sitting in a thermal carafe on the sideboard. Had to carry own bags, there was no help, up two very narrow staircases. Would not really recommend this place

We stayed in the structure behind the house on the third floor. We had a partial ocean view. The greatest part was hearing the tides at night. The service was great. Breakfast in bed was a treat and the office staff was fantastic and went way beyond the extra-mile.

The Inn was gorgeous and a fireplace on in Aug. at night! Inn is right across from the bay. We had a wonderful time. Rode bikes through Pebble Beach. We will look forward to going back!

This B&B is outstanding! Very beautiful inside and the beach is across the street. Perfect hospitality. Deco is the most gorgeous!
