We are well behind schedule with our review, but better late than never :) We had a fantastic stay and our host generously invited us to a BBQ dinner that made us feel especially welcome. The place is full of comfort and coziness. A great kick-off before heading into the National Park--Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pine Rose Inn for five nights. It was a great place to come back to after hiking at Yosemite all day! Be prepared that it takes at least an hour to get to the Valley. It was inconvenient to drive a lot every day. Breakfast was amazing- coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, cinnamon rolls! Our room was nice- the roses everywhere were so pretty. The rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator so we were able to make lunch and dinner with some creativity. We loved getting to know the owners a bit- they were helpful and kind.

Checking in on Friday, I walked into the office which looked like someone's messy living room... No one was there, so I yelled out and a small 8 year old boy came running out of the back room... I told him I wanted to check in, so he proceeded to run outside back and forth looking for someone... Finally someone came in, verified on his register that I had reserved the "Birds Nest" Suite couple of months ago, then proceeded to help me with my luggage to the room, only to find out that someone was using the room. They had accidently given my room to someone else. Fortunately, they had two other rooms, and I settled on suite #2 (Hidden Rose)... smaller, cheaper and they gave me an additional discount for my trouble. The queen bed and pillows were comfortable and clean, but the room was in a state of disrepair... The overhead light did not work, and a broken wall lamp was hanging off the wall exposing live wires... The drapperies were torn tattered... I did like the all green marble floors and the deep tub jacuzzi. I used it twice.. I got a really large deck but the cushions were dirty, actually had dirt on them...I people there were really friendly, and the free homemade breakfasts were really good...I had asked able blueberry pancakes, and the next morning we had blueberry pancakes. Yummy...

We got an upgrade of our room. It was very comfortable and was right on the garden and lawn. Nice and shady and relaxing. The breakfast was great, especially the pancakes. We would recommend this place any time.

Greg and Anita were great hosts and Anita made an excellent breakfast on the deck. The bed was great. However, this place is "funky, quirky" in decor and would not be for everyone's taste. The rooms are small, decorated with finds. Some truly beautiful pieces but some whose time may have past. I would definitely stay again. It is inexpensive and friendly.

The Pine Rose Inn is a very quaint mountain home. Never staying at a B&B before, I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping for a better first experience, but all in all, I'd say I was content with my stay. The room we stayed in was cozy and provided all the needed amenities, albeit a bit dirty. Spider webs were almost everywhere we looked. I'm a former Soldier, so I can deal. Others probably would care a bit more than I did. Service was great. The owner/manager/chef was a sweet person who wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was yummy (simple serving of fruit, eggs, and bacon). She asked prior to if we had any allergies, so she takes feeding her guests seriously. We probably would not stay here again if we travel back to Yosemite.

Charming house but a bit messy behind the house. Breakfast too fat for us. Not very clean everywhere in the room. We have been upgraded - Good value for money. Very welcoming owners!

We stayed there in 2012 and forgot to write a review. It's really a nice place to stay. Breakfast is very good and above all: friendly people. We really would like to recommend it. Marino & Lily from Belgium.
