Expected 4 1/2 star weekend from a prior tour but ended up with a disappointing 1 1/2 star. Arrived Fri nite. Very noisy room with roof top bar 30 ft away. We had anticipated the noise and willing to trade off for the great room. VERY squeaky bed, any movement during the night awakened us but still we were OK. Saturday night it fell apart. Had the dinner package 21 Oceanfront and 6pm reservation. Looking forward to prime rib at the 21 for weeks. They had none and no explanation. Recommended steak Diane over fillet for the wife which was a huge mistake. I settled for stuffed Portobello which was average. Gravely disappointing dinner after two prior dinners over the past year that were exceptional. Back to the room at 10. The party on the roof adjacent was exceptionally loud, had to keep the windows closed. AC did not function properly and had to shut it off and suffer a stuffy fitful sleep night. Looking forward to the Jacuzzi but could not get it to function. Prime reason for the Bellagio room selection. Too late to complain. Next morning found out no maintenance was available for the room functionality issues. However one bright spot was the retraction at the desk to move us to another room (7). They really tried to help for which we were grateful and that room ended up being fine albeit no Jacuzzi tub. I suppose you could call it one of those perfect storm weekends which should have been really special but ended up humdrum.

My daughter and I choose a different location each year to meet and have girl time. This was our 9th year! Our choice was Newport Beach, and our bed and breakfast (Doryman's) was just a lucky find. Rooms are exceptionally beautiful and the staff is wonderful.

My wife and I stayed at the Doryman for our 10th anniversary and I have to say I have a new favorite place to stay! I've surfed right out front for years and never realized it was there! The rooms were unique and offered great views. The service was impeccable. The restaurant was second to none. And even in the middle of the Newport Pier may lay it was quiet and private. I would highly recommend the Doryman to anyone!

Charming B&B with a fantastic view. Each room is decorated differently. The continental breakfast was much more substantial than I expected.

Had a two night stay recently and it was a wonderful time at Doryman Inn. First, the location is great, right in heart of Newport Beach Pier area. Secondly, staff is top notch. Friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful. Corner Room #1 has great views, but a little noisy at night. Its stunningly decorated and well laid out. Clean and airy. The restaraunt downstairs was phenomenal. Server was fun and great. Food was awesome. Cannot say enough good things about this property.
