Wonderful experience in Napa!

4.8 on June 21, 2016

My husband and and visited with another couple in June. I've never stayed in a B&B and am so used to staying in big hotels. The Inn on Randolph blew away all of my expectations. First, the staff was amazing. So friendly and nice, but not overly or unnecessary in your business. They had great recommendations and truly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Second, the breakfast was amazing! Always cooked to order and so unique. I had seen other reviews about the breakfast, and now I know why! Third, the rooms were fantastic! We stayed in the Franklin cottage and it was updated so well that we kept commenting how thoughtful the room was planned out. The sheets and bed were AMAZING! I travel a lot for work and a good beds mean a lot. This was up there with the best! Fourth, the location was great. Just a short walk to downtown Napa and easy to find. Fifth, the common areas were charming and gave you a sense of being in your own home. We sat in their common courtyard in the evening and never felt crowded. Overall the Inn on Randolph was exceptional. We all decided it would be hard to stay anywhere else for our return trip.

A Gem of an Inn

We returned home yesterday and are still reliving our few days at the Inn on Randolph. After traveling so far, the Inn was exactly what we needed to rest and relax. The Innkeeper and staff were so warm and welcoming and eager to meet any need. The cottage was ideal, well appointed, private, quiet, and with many thoughtful amenities. The breakfasts at the Inn were fabulous and a highlight of our stay. We are now fans of gluten-free, and Chef Dianne is to be commended! We took advantage of the great location to walk to town and experience downtown Napa, and their dining recommendations were perfect. Many thanks for your genuine kindness, attention to detail, and personal service. We have nothing but wonderful memories and hope to return to the Inn on Randolph in the future.

Relaxation Done Right

We stayed in the standalone cottage and it was amazing. Had chocolates and a bottle of wine waiting for us for our anniversary when we checked in. Having the heated tile in the bathroom, a fireplace, and our own little kitchen was wonderful. It was our first time in Napa and we only had a couple days so we weren't quite sure what all to do. The concierge was incredibly helpful and so kind to recommend places to eat and wineries to visit and even helped us make reservations for all of these places. We loved being able to easily walk downtown at night for dinner. Oh and the breakfast in the mornings were out of this world. Can't say enough good things about this beautiful B&B and the workers who made our stay so worth it!

Will definitely return!

This was our first trip to Napa and we will definitely be back. While it will be difficult to choose which winery's to visit, our accommodations will be easy as we will again stay at the Inn on Randolph! I knew I was taking a chance staying here based only on their web site, but they did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and willing to assist, our room was immaculate - fresh and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was simply amazing with the freshest ingredients made into divine dishes. The inn is a nice walking distance from downtown where we went each night for dinner upon the inn's recommendations which were excellent Even though it rained the entire three days the Inn provided umbrellas so we were still able to get out and enjoy Napa Valley!

Fantastic. Stayed three nights in Fowler Cottage. It was like having our own cottage in the center of the town of Napa. Karen and her staff were wonderful. She made dinner wine tasteing and balloon ride reservations for us. Allof which were just great. Breakfast was diffrerent each day and deliciopus each time. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I love staying at Bed & Breakfast/Boutique Inns because of the warmth, graciousness and personal attention usually found. The Inn on Randolph offers all of the above. The Inn is very accommodating, comfortable and inviting. Karen, the owner, is a pleasure to meet and Chef Paul - well let's just say - love seeing what he's bringing to the table each morning. It was a great place to stay.

Perfect getaway

My husband and I were fortunate enough to celebrate our 25th anniversary with three nights at the Inn on Randolph. What a perfect place to spend part of our celebratory trip. The accommodations were lovely and oh so comfortable, the gourmet breakfasts were delicious and beautiful, the staff helpful and fun! Melissa was so sweet to prepare wine and cheese for us without even being asked. Karen was an amazing host – she knows the area so well and has wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what to see. The location is great, close enough to walk to downtown Napa for dinner. There was also a nice little park nearby where we were able to run each day. We can’t wait to return to Napa and stay again at the Inn on Randolph

This is the best place to stay in Napa!

5 on May 16, 2015

We just returned home from our very first trip to Napa and we cannot wait to go back. We spent four nights at the Inn on Randolph and they were the best nights of our entire trip. Karen, Dan and their staff made us feel like we were at home from the moment we arrived. Carleigh greeted us and offered us wine and a snack while we took our tour of the property, then she made a suggestion for dinner at the Oxbow Market. Our first morning we got to taste the most amazing homemade granola and Chef Paul's wonderful breakfast. We looked forward to the granola and delicious breakfasts every morning. At breakfast every day Karen would ask how our previous day had been and make suggestions on wineries and restaurants; she even made the reservations and appointments for us. We stayed in the Fowler Cottage which is beautiful, The gardens and common areas are so nice, we enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine out in the gardens. We will definitely will be returning to Napa and staying at the Inn on Randolph and highly recommend it to anyone that is visiting wine country.

Loved it!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Randolph w/a few minor exceptions: The greatness is: Carlisle, the Innkeeper is the sweetest, so helpful and informative. What a gem you have in her! She probably deserves a raise! Karen, the owner, was extremely helpful in planning our days. We definitely made the most of our time w/her advice. The bed sheets - need I say, amazeballs! We ordered a set and they are currently sitting in our hall closet waiting to be the first set of sheets on our bed at our new house we are building. We can't wait. Farmstead, farm to table eating, a must for lunch! Wish we had one in Cincy. Oxbow market - I don't even like Mexican food that much but we ate at C Casa Tacos more than once. Incredibly fresh tacos, loved, loved, loved them! We ate bone marrow more than once at lunch too, a fab app! Nightly cookies - a little flat for my liking but a yummy late night snack. Breakfast - although you are unable to chose what you eat, myself and my better half had a super breakfast every day! Not so great: Our room was right inside the main door to the Inn and OMG, loud! The room itself was wonderful and beautifully done but the lack of respect from others going to and fro along w/the kitchen and the stairs right out side of our room, eek. We would definitely chose a cottage if we stayed there again. Maybe posting some clever and well done signage outside that door or at the main door would be helpful. Internet - less than fast. Go to the Neiman room if you need to be efficient with work items. The room internet was very slow. Location - so, so, I think if we came back, we would stay in St Helena, we are busy bodies and very much a city couple and Napa would be considered a sleepy town if you ask us. All in all a wonderful trip and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay to Napa!

Look no further!

This was my first experience at a bed & breakfast, and I can honestly say that I do not think any place will ever be able to top the wonderful experience I had at the Inn on Randolph! The inn was adorable and situated on beautiful property in Napa, and from the moment I walked in, it certainly felt like a home away from home. The decor was modern and relaxed, with neutral tones. The rooms were very comfortable and looked like they were pulled right out of a beautiful home catalogue, and we all especially loved getting a good night's sleep on the Comphy bed sheets! It was a very inviting environment, and the owners Karen and Dan made the experience even more lovely given the extensive knowledge they have about Napa (and its surrounding vineyard areas) and places to eat and shop at, and especially their willingness to accommodate everyone's personal preferences. Additionally, let me rave about breakfast a little more...the breakfast lentils served with ham and a poached egg were unreal. Breakfast was prepared fresh by the inn's own in-house chef, and it was a delicious, healthy meal that was the perfect way to get our day started before taking off on a bus tour of 4 wineries! Also, the granola was quite possibly the best granola I've ever had in my life. Also, one more tip: try the chocolate chip cookies...they were way too good! Regarding location, the Inn on Randolph was incredibly convenient to the town of Napa (within walking distance), so lunches, dinners, shopping, and obviously wine tastings are very nearby and there is no need for a car to get into town. I have nothing but praise for this fantastic bed and breakfast in the heart of Napa, and I cannot wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful stay here again soon!
