This beautiful Victorian, completed in 2006 reflects the grandure of the 1890's. Tucked away in the pines and located just 2 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park, it's the perfect place to be. Tin Lizzie takes its name from the Model T Ford which the public lovingly dubbed “The Tin Lizzie”. While making your stay with us, you can share the thrill of driving an original Model T Ford with three peddles on the floor, and experience what it was like to live in an opulent home with servants to take care of your every need. New in 2011 is our beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath Vacation Home adjacent to the Inn - enjoy Yosemite in the comfort of your own home with all the charm of the Inn.

Everything about this place is wonderful. Rooms are beautiful, amenities are modern, hosts are personable, respectful, wonderful, and helpful, and site is the closest you can get to the entrance to the park without actually staying inside its gates. My husband and I enjoyed its unique and warm old-world charm, which is nearly impossible to find in today's commercial venues. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a great stay at Lizzie Inn. The property is really a top one, and the service is fabulous. It was the best place we stayed during our California tour. Congrats! Lizzie Inn does not have a dinning option on site, but very close there is Tennaya Lodge where there two restaurants available, where someone can have an acceptable dinner.

Carmen and Jeb were wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and every comfort was ours for the asking. Breakfast was really yummy. I loved the blueberry pancakes! Jeb did a super job of giving us ideas for a Yosemite itinerary. He set us up with hikes and points of interest that were perfect for our abilities and curiosity. The rooms and common areas were comfortable and clean. Fresh flowners, Fresh coffee and fresh smiles were in abundance. We had an extra special stay. We are thinking about going back this winter to experience the Yosemite Valley in its winter glory. Just go. You will be happy you did.

Carmen and Jeb (hosting for the owners) were perfect in every way. They gave us a ride across the street to dinner at the nearby resort/lodge two nights in a row. Jeb gave us a detailed itinerary of what to do, where to park, where to stop, etc., for our two days in Yosemite. Carmen offered to cook whatever we wanted for breakfast and we had our choice of serving times. They keep everyone private at this B and B (which is really nice, since many visitors to Yosemite don't even speak the same language). Every day our room was cleaned and the bed was made. After staying at several B and B's in Texas, this was a first for us! Overall, the room was huge and comfortable--we stayed in the suite. We had a private balcony as well with a nice view. Everything about the stay was first class and we were waited on hand and foot--literally, our every need was met. Highly recommended! You'll love the house and if you get Carmen and Jeb as your hosts, you can't ask for anything more!

I'll preface this review with the confession, my husband and I aren't natural B&B folks. Yet, we found this to be a wonderful place. We were going to stay at one of the many hotels in the Yosemite Park area, but they were full by the time we needed to book, so we reserved a room at Tin Lizzie, and I'm so happy we did. Our first night, we got in kind of late, so we ate dinner at the Tenaya lodge for our first evening in Yosemite, and it made us realize, that hotel might be great for some, but it wasn't the place for us. Tin Lizzie definitely was. The heart of a B&B is the people who are running it, and it was evident from our first encounter with Jeb and Carmen, we knew we felt very much at home. The Tin Lizzie has everything, a room in the main house (incredibly beautiful--the Honeymoon Suite), the room in the main house with a separate entrance---which is what we had---and the outbuilding, with I think...I could be wrong...two larger places that could accommodate families. Tin Lizzie is convenient to Yosemite National Park, the bed was super cozy, it was very quiet, very romantic. Carmen and Jeb make sure there are treats, water, etc., every night. Then, you'll wake up to a wonderful breakfast, Carmen is quite the chef! Jeb took us on a wild ride in the Model T, and he gave us great suggestions and directions for where we needed to be, and what to see within the park. There's something about this place that the minute you walk in, the first hellos from Carmen and Jeb, it's very warm and comfortable. It sounds corny, but it's very positive energy, so sweet, warm and welcoming. Stay here if you can, you won't regret it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g32385-d674860-r371209205-Tin_Lizzie_Inn-Fish_Camp_California.html#
