A California bed and breakfast in Colfax, the Sierra Sun Cloud Inn is a luxurious Gold Country bed and breakfast. This beautiful New England style Inn is located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Secluded among towering Ponderosa Pines on a spectacular 18 acre hilltop estate, the Inn rests on a park-like setting. The 360 degree views of the Sacramento Valley and several neighboring mountain ranges gives you the feeling that you are truly on top of the world. The meticulously manicured gardens, the glow of the distant city lights and the clear starlite sky make this a perfect romantic getaway.

My husband and I spent one night at the Sun Cloud Inn and truly enjoyed the visit. Guy is a fabulous host, friendly, knowledgable, and willing to take the time to make sure that his guests are welcomed and enjoy their visit to the Colfax area. His Inn is at the top of a hill with great views (do not miss the sunset!), yet with easy access to the local downtown areas. A full American breakfast is served in the diningroom at 9am and we all enjoyed the meal - he even asks about allergies and accommodates. Definitely a great visit - just wish we could have spent another night or two there!

My Husband and myself stayed at the Sierra Sun Cloud Inn as our first overnight away in 4 years and it was perfect in every way. The Inn and the surrounding area are so rich with history and tranquility. We were greeted by the most gracious host, (the owner owner Guy) who gave us a personal tour of the Inn as well some great hiking and dining tips for our stay. Guy was so generous and kind, it was like talking to an old friend. The hiking trails were conveniently connected to the property and so beautiful. The home was spotless and every room had the most beautiful decor, and all the extra's, everything from bath robes to wine, the detail of Sierra Sun Cloud Inn was beyond what I expected. This B & B truly values your business and honors it's guests. This home is perfect to stay in all year round. I honestly can't wait to go back and we are definitely planning a longer stay for next time!

We stayed only one night in the "Sundance" room and it was lovely. We had beautiful views from both windows, including one view that stretched for miles. The room was sweetly appointed and had ample room for the two of us. We would have shared a bathroom but nobody was in the other room, so we had it all to ourselves. The inn's robes were delightfully luxurious. The innkeeper was both attentive and respected our privacy. They provided complimentary wine, water and coffee which we enjoyed on the great wrap-around front porch. The grounds were perfectly manicured. Overall, it was the perfect, peaceful and restful one-night get away.

This B&B was in an absolutely beautiful setting. The grounds had a nice pond that just looking at was relaxing. Our room was quiet and comfy. Bathroom was LARGE. Our host was great. He gave us all the information we needed to get a good meal. I would definitely come back if I am in the area again.

We stayed at the Sierra Sun Cloud in on the way toTahoe, wanting a lovely B and B experience not too far off of the main road. We were not disappointed. The large home in a beautiful setting with a pond is immaculate, surrounded by beautiful flowers and lush trees. Our room was lovely with a tall four poster with a great mattress and fresh linens. Next to the rooms is a separate lounge for guests with a pool table, refrigerator, water and tea/coffee appliances. At night it was completely quiet allowing for restful sleep and in the morning we were served a delicious breakfast. A diner only five minutes away was convenient for dinner. I highly recommend this inn.
