This is our go to place to stay while visiting the Yosemite, Bass Lake Area. It’s a beautiful location, has great views, and the hospitality is wonderful. Plus, you can’t beat the fresh laid eggs!

Its like home.

Innkeeper Response
Let no good deed go unpunished - A line from a play and applicable to this April 8, 2018 review. When a guest arrives, they are greeted, escorted to their room where we orient the guest to room amenities and inquire about the guests' plans. This guest had a reservation at the 5 star - Erna's Elderberry House - They pre-ordered a wine pairing package with their 5 course meal. We enjoy driving our guests to Erna's Elderberry House so that they can partake in the amazing dining/wine pairing event without concern for driving. We are located on top of a mountain (better to enjoy the view by...) We are located on a 2 lane (private) paved and decomposed granite road. We are known for our breakfasts, and nobody leaves our table hungry. Our "1 pancake" is 10 inches by 10 inches in dimension and is usually the delight of our guests. Our fresh fruit is always served in a martini glass with a personally prepard, hot breakfast. We offer fresh ground and brewed coffee, juices and assorted teas. Our chickens give us fresh eggs daily. Our specially prepared breakfasts change every day so that multiple night guests never get bored. I suspect that the guests are most disappointed because we charge for any dog (big, small and even well trained) as we have a service clean and change out all curtains and linens so that "the next guest" does not feel as if they were sleeping with animal smells. We only allow animals in this one pet friendly room for this reason, and our pet fee is clearly marked on our webpage. Our off season room rate is our best pricing offered and and extremely reasonable for this region. Our more popular service is a personalized map and plan for our guests' day in Yosemite. So sad that this service was not even mentioned as they were truly grateful for the information received. Unfortunately, we cannot be everything to everybody. Sad...

Delightful place

Friendly, engaging host and hostess. We were welcomed. Appreciated all the signs directing us up the hill to their lovely B&B. Shared places to eat. Directed us to a great quilt store. I would have liked a box of Kleenex in the room and a full length mirror. Gratis bottled water a very nice extra.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Very friendly and helpful innkeepers. The suite was spacious, the bathroom clean and the bed was comfortable. The driveway is special, but once up the view is outstanding!

Great Bed and Breakfast

5 on October 02, 2017

There was a winding road up the mountain to reach the bed and breakfast, but it was worth the effort. Bruce and Lori were great hosts. They were very attentive to our needs. The room was spacious with wonderful views. Each of the three rooms has access to a comfortable seating area right off of the room with spectacular views of the mountains. Had great sleeping arrangements with the king sized bed and large fluffy pillows and the shower and bathroom were nicely done. Each morning, our hosts prepared us a delicious breakfast and then sat with us to discuss our day and offer tips on where to go and best ways of seeing the sights., We felt right at home and would recommend this bed and breakfast to our family and friends. A pleasant stay

After spending the day in Yosemite we were going to be a late arrival so we sent Bruce a text. He recommended that we stop for dinner first and gave a few restaurant suggestions. Using the Waze app, following their online directions, and their bright gold B&B signs we successfully made the trip up the twisted road. I suggest arriving before dark because the road is steep but also because the view is spectacular. Bruce and his sidekick dog Zoe greeted us. The rooms are tastefully decorated. We had an early breakfast with tasty pancakes, eggs, and fresh fruit. The owners Bruce and Lori are gracious and friendly hosts. Although our stay was a short one night it was memorable.

The room was very clean and confortable, with a beautiful view, the hosts are very nice and helpful. And the home made breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our Stay!

Peaceful Mountain Top

5 on September 20, 2017

We chose this B and B for it's close proximity to the Fresno International Airport, an easy 1-hr drive away. It was perfect in so many ways: just outside Yosemite Park, on a peaceful quiet mountain top, with lovely hosts, and beautiful facilities. The mattress was most comfortable and the bath had a powerful shower. We watched the sun go down which culminated into a magnificent sunset!

R & R at it's BEST!

Friendly and welcoming Hosts, spacious, clean rooms, multiple outside seating areas with expansive views. Great location and breakfast was 5 stars! Lori & Bruce advised a better sight seeing strategy for our Yosemite visit, due to the fires this fall. Thanks so much! .
