The staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed during our honeymoon and had an option to be as social or private as we wanted. The food, room and location was fab! Would stay again!

Charming. Clean. Gracious service. Centrally located. Delicious breakfasts. Fun conversation and great laughs. Couldn't have been a more perfect home base for a weekend in Napa Valley. We'll be back for sure!

1801 was a wonderful place to stay for my honeymoon. We stayed in the Carriage House. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pictures were true to size and showed the house as it looks. The food was mostly delicious, but I would have loved to have bigger portions for breakfast. The every day options were on the smaller side. Wine hour was lovely and that was one of my favorite parts of this stay. The only things that I would recommend for the 1801 owners is to add more hooks to the Carriage House for coats when you first enter the room and more in the bathroom for bath towels to dry. I would have liked to have a small shoe storage area right in the entry area as well because we didn't want to wear our shoes in the house. The staff was wonderful and was very helpful with recommendations. Thank you 1801 for making our stay fantastic!

The owners of the luxury B&B in downtown Napa are what make this place a pure gold mine! They have covered every detail of decor, service, food, and hospitality with a fine comb. Their staff is professional and personable making for a most memorable special occasion trip.

Laura & Shirley were very helpful in getting our Napa wine shipped back to Nebraska for us. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Napa!!

WOW! Our stay at 1801 Inn was absolutely amazing! My husband and I stayed here for two nights during the beginning of our California honeymoon adventure. Carrie and the other employees were wonderful hosts! They remembered key details of our stay and made us feel very welcome. For instance, they were constantly acknowledging our honeymoon, which was so fun as recent newlyweds! They also asked about what our adventures in Napa entailed and offered awesome recommendations on what to do to help make the most of our short visit. Everyone at 1801 was so friendly and remembered our previous conversations, which was so refreshing and different from the typical hotel experience... and again, made us feel very welcome and appreciated as guests. We stayed in the "La Casa Dolce" carriage house and it was perfect! The room was cozy and clean and it even had a fire place! It was also decorated beautifully and we felt so comfortable staying here. We even had our own private outdoor patio area! The carriage house was so adorable and so perfect for a romantic honeymoon stay. On another note, the breakfast at 1801 was INCREDIBLE! They had fresh baked goods each morning (lemon poppy seed muffins, chocolate croissants, strawberry muffins) that were made by their in-house chef. My husband and I both had the chef's special for breakfast each morning (omelets, scrambled eggs with salsa verde) and it was phenomenal! Honestly, I cannot write enough about just how amazing our stay was at 1801 Inn. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking to stay in Napa.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages at 1801--very cute. The garden and patio outside were well kept and the interior decor was charming. Upon arrival, there were cookies--baked fresh every day and to our delight there were homemade truffles in our room to welcome us as well. Shirley was very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious from the fruit in a light liqueur syrup to the fresh baked pastries! We sat in the breakfast nook area at a table for two, but one could also sit at a larger community table as well. We will definitely return on our next trip to Napa.

I will never stay anywhere else in Napa. The rooms were delightful with fireplaces, robes and wonderful beds. The service was outstanding. You are greeted with wine and cookies, you can enjoy cheese and wine hour each evening outside and breakfast was to die for. The staff was friendly and very helpful with our tours and even helping us ship our wine home. Enough good things can not be said about 1801 Inn, I will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay from start to finish. They have thought of everything from welcome truffles in your room at arrival to sending you home with fresh baked cookies.

The home was beautiful. Within walking distance of the town of Napa and all of the restaurants. The host and hostess were so friendly and welcoming!! The breakfast was incredible. Different each day. There definitely will be more trips to Napa and 1801 First st. Inn.

We have been staying at 1801 First every year for the past four years and we have already booked next year. It has old world charm with modern conveniences, including free wifi and in-room TVs (which we have never used.) Carrie and Blair are awesome hosts and they have hired awesome people, including a chef who fixes outstanding breakfasts. We love their homemade croissants and scones. My fav breakfast is the yogurt plate, but my husband digs into the waffles with berry and syrup. There is something for everyone. If you are there on a Friday night, be sure to sign up for the winemakers hour. Carrie and Blair invite a boutique winery to get a presentation, taste their wines, and it is accompanied by hors d'oeuvres from 1801 First. Delicious. Within walking distance to downtown Napa and easily accessible from Hwy 29.

My husband and I were celebrating a wedding anniversary and found this place on Trip Advisor. It definitely lived up to its reviews. We were greeted very warmly by Laura who offered us wine and cookies, and showed us to our quaint and cozy cottage. The wine hour was a great time of socializing and meeting the other couples. The next morning Carrie (the owner) greeted us at breakfast and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She offered to help us plan our stay in Napa; we met her husband the next evening at the wine hour and he was very gracious as well. All in all, we had a wonderful three night stay at this beautiful B&B, which is situated in downtown Napa.

The closet was too small and difficult to get to. The two drawers that were available were also small and did not make up for the lack of closet space. The room was great, we enjoyed having a fire each morning.

The caretakers and inn keepers were fabulous people! You could tell by their attention to detail that they really wanted you to be happy with your experience! The location was perfect as well in easy walking distance to all restuarants!

It was truly a spectacular experience visiting Napa. One of the main reasons was the our stay in the beautiful 1801 Inn. The way we were greeted, the afternoon cheese and wine offering, the ambiance, the décor, it was truly wonderful. I would have checked off outstanding on all categories if only the fire place in our room would have worked on the chilly second night of our stay.

We spent five nights at the 1801 First early in March and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owners, management, and staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Everyone was so helpful. The highlights included the excellent breakfast and wine hour. We stayed in one of the cottages. It was tastefully decorated, romantic, and clean. The B&B is located just a short walk from downtown Napa. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone who plans a visit to the area.

This beautiful old house is the perfect Inn in Napa. Everything was superior, the only disappointing thing was I booked that room for its fire place and it would only work when it wanted to. We mentioned it to the staff who immediately went to inspect, of course it worked for her, but again that night when it got chilly, we could not get it to work. Other than that it was perfect.

My husband and I went to Napa to celebrate my birthday and we wanted to do it right. And 1801 Inn did not disappoint! We stayed in their Carriage house, which was wonderful accommodations. All of the breakfasts were fresh and wonderful. Their wine hour at night was a fun time to meet people also staying at the inn and they had a great appetizer and special wine tasting one night we were there! We so very highly recommend 1801 Inn and we will look to stay there again in our future trips to Napa.

We can't say enough about our stay at 1801 First. It was a treat from start to finish. Within walking distance to everything. Our room was very nice - super comfortable king bed, the staff were more than helpful, and ohhhhhhh the breakfasts - simply amazing. Nice touches throughout. We were sorry to leave. We would definitely stay here again when in Napa. Donna & Bryan - Calgary, Alberta, Canada

This has been our second time staying at 1801 Inn. We are always pleased with the friendly staff who makes sure that we are well taken care of and enjoying our time on and outside the property. My wife and I are from Atlanta and stayed at 1801 First for our 1-year wedding anniversary. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality of the owner's and staff. The place itself is beautiful and clean. The breakfast they provide is delicious and hearty. It's in a great location with easy access to downtown Napa and the rest of the valley. The place also provides a great atmosphere to meet other people who are staying at the inn. But what takes the cake is the service that the owners provide to each and every guest. They make it their personal goal to make sure that you have the absolute best experience possible. They were friendly, engaging, extremely knowledgeable about great places to visit in Napa, and very helpful in booking winery tours and restaurant reservations. We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here and can't wait to go back!

My special Lady and I spent a 4 day stay at this outstanding location ! The Carriage House was our get-away home - cozy, romantic (two way fire place & in-suite Jacuzzi for two) and warmly decorated. Next to the patio allowed us to take two steps out to join other guests over wine & appetizers early evenings ... a peaceful water fall placed an added touch of quiet to the overall relaxing atmosphere. Cannot wait to return on our next trip to the Napa Valley ! Thank you to our Hosts for their attention to detail, helpful tips & kindness ! Indeed a truly Magic Experience !

1801 Inn in Napa.....Not your typical B&B. New owners have poured their heart and soul into this property and it shows through the décor, service and overall experience. Great breakfast, awesome wine & cheese hour, wonderful accommodations, quite and quaint. Heading to Napa, this is your spot!!!

My wife and I spent three days at this wonderful Inn in February. Everything was perfect. The facilities were tastefully decorated and well maintained, and our hosts could not have been more attentive without getting in the way. The breakfast menu varied daily, was innovative, and always good - the perfect send off for a day of wine tasting at the wonderful vineyards in the area, many within 10-15 minutes of 1801. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

I do not have enough good things to say about the 1801. My partner and I stayed here for two nights for our anniversary and it was wonderful. The concierge was incredibly helpful with pointing us to wineries that we wanted to see and even had tasting coupons. I had spoken to the owner on several occasions when making reservations and she was extremely hospitable. We missed the Inn's Wine and Cheese Hour and she called me to ask if I'd like the cheese plate delivered to our room since we weren't making it. The Inn was in walking distance of the downtown and I have to say the stay was nearly worth it just for the breakfasts!

We loved the home and our very big room and bath. It was unseasonably cold when we were there so the gas fireplace was a plus. The bathroom was a tad cold but there was a space heater. Breakfast was wonderful and the whole experience was great.

Such a lovely place! I do wish our room had a King-Size Bed, but otherwise it was very well appointed! The breakfast every day was delicious as was the evening wine reception. It was great that the owners are hands on as well and they gave great reccomendations for places to eat and visit! I would reccomend the 1801 First to anyone going to Napa!

This is a very lovely place to stay in Napa. It was actually more than I expected judging from online information. Very cozy and clean place. They have an excellent service right from the beginning. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, and the person who checked us in was very knowledgeable about the area and activities. We were treated with a very good breakfast which we ordered from a small menu the night before. I loved the home made cookies which are always available in the living room along with tea and coffee. Plus, they had a bottle or two of Port always sitting in the living room as well. We stayed here only one night, and I would stay here again, without a question, in my next visit to Napa.

1801 First far exceeded our expectations. We have stayed at a lot of B&B and this was one of the best! First of all the property is gorgeous -- impeccably appointed rooms. Our suite was spacious -- the queen bed beautifully appointed and comfortable, walk-in closet with mini-frig, large bathroom with jacuzzi and a flat screen TV (which we never turned on). Our hostess was friendly, informative and always nearby. Cocktail hour was wine and treats in the back patio which had padded lounge chairs and sofa for relaxing. Breakfast in the solar overlooking the street was awesome. Food was fantastic! Loved the chocolate croissants and all the entrees. We will be back.
