About

Tucked in the hills of San Diego, our organic subtropical fruit farm is close to the wine tasting region of both Temecula and Fallbrook. The closest winery to us is Roadrunner, and is walking distance. There’s so much to do in the vicinity, u-picks, antiquing, brewery tours, wine tours, nurseries, hiking the Reserve, and more. We have compiled an Activity Guide that we send to all guests ahead of time, so that you can enjoy planning ahead! We offer three homes, all with private hot tubs, on our 20 acre farm to choose from. You can read more about the amenities of each, by clicking on the different property choices. If you live in the city, you may be surprised at the majestic night sky here. Many come here with plans to go into nearby Fallbrook or Temecula for dinner, and end up cancelling their plans to just enjoy the quiet and solitude that our farm offers. Consider saving your money and dining in! Your kitchen is stocked with fresh salad fixings, breakfast items, and staples such as rice, (with rice cooker), sugar, farm fresh rainbow eggs, coffee (both regular and decaf), teas, cream, bottled water, bagels, and a local red wine. Meet our herd of Nigerian dairy goats! They’re delighted to meet visitors, and are gentle and friendly. Join us when we tend to them each afternoon. Couscous our free-ranged llama and our alpacas are more elusive, but Cousous may come in for a treat. He hangs out near his barn, as he’s discovered guests there often offer him treats.

Sweet and relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

4.8 on May 07, 2017

My husband and I stayed here for only one night, but we really enjoyed our brief stay. The air in Fallbrook is so nice and clean, especially up in the mountains, so it was a great change from NYC. We stayed in the two room bungalow as it was all that was available, and I wish we had brought others with us as there really was room. We enjoyed our chicken and rooster neighbors who woke us in time to see the sunrise. The hot tub was relaxing and peaceful. Snack food when we arrived and the food in the fridge was great--fresh eggs and produce, but there was no oil for cooking any of it into a nice omelet or frittata. A little bottle of oil would've made this great stay awesome as we really could have enjoyed all of our food. All in all, we'd stay again. Just be careful driving up the mountain. Us city folk weren't used to it! Thanks!

Lovely Quiet Get-a-Way

It was just what we needed, getting back to nature but with a bathroom and comfort instead of a tent. The owner Donna was so helpful, loved the fruit! and the sauna was a dream...with a bottle of wine of course. The animals added a nice touch, there if we wanted to see them or not, the goats are very entertaining. Highly recommend, Dave

Romantic Mountain House with Hottub and View

This is our newest listing. To see reviews of our other farmstay properties here on our 20 acre farm, you can scroll below to "reviews." Central to Wine Country, the original guest house here at Morning Song offers an expansive view of the environmentally protected valley below. Known for the coastal mists that come in from the beaches 12 miles away, guests can often look down on wispy clouds as they pass through the valley from their perch in this big windowed, cliff side home.

Whimsical Farmstay with Fireplace and View

Artistically renovated with a quiet, expansive view of our organic farm. The sound of the coastal breezes rustling through the surrounding trees greet you at the entry way to your private get-a-way that is on the first floor of the original, 3-family farmhouse. Peer out your kitchen window at our spoiled ducks and peacocks frolicking or pitch an umbrella, pull up a beach chair and soak up the sun while curling your toes into the local river sand. No shared spaces. Walk the farm, jump into one of our afternoon Goat Interactions, meet alpacas Silverado and Dusty and offer them treats. The flock of chickens they guard will be right behind in hopes of treats of their own! (We provide plenty of treats). Feed the ducks or just enjoy the peacocks. Consider one of our homesteading experiences or classes, such as cheesemaking/butter making, jam making/canning.

About the innkeepers

I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. So much of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including gardening books, mediation, political history, economics. I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful.
