Baywood Park Heaven!

4.6 on January 16, 2017

Room well appointed and well laid out. Comfortable bed and nice and quiet

Great time, again, at Baywood Inn

4.6 on January 13, 2017

My family and I have stayed at Baywood Inn when we have returned to the area and just love the place. The location can't be beat, it's a beautiful bnb, and our room was awesome. We were bringing our daughter to California for the first time and so we had a lot of people visiting us - the staff were great and accomodating. We will definitely stay there when we come back

New Years at the Baywood

Check in was easy Rooms were clean, neat and very nice. Great views of the bay I will be back again.

We will be back! It was wonderful.

Every part of it was very enjoyable and so comfortable.

Unexpected gem

4.4 on December 05, 2016

My husband and I met up with friends here, on our way to Pebble. We were delightfully surprised with the service and accommodations at the Baywood Inn. The rooms were quaint with beautiful fireplaces. The wine was really good at their wine hour.

Baywood Inn B & B ... Outstanding

Lovely B&B on Morro Bay

4.4 on November 30, 2016

Stayed in the Kensington Room. Delightful room with king bed and fireplace. Very romantic. Restaurant next door--La Palapa--served free wine on the evening of our arrival, and a tasty buffet breakfast the next morning. Highly recommended.

Nice place

4.2 on November 26, 2016

My stay was pleasant. If more electrical plugs near the bed would be better (for charging phone and other electronic devices.

Baywood Inn

4.0 on November 16, 2016

This place is really awesome. The best bed and breakfast on the central coast. Great price , great service, always clean and each room is unique. The only issue is the La Palapa restaurant next door is slow and rude sometimes.

Quiet Gem

4.4 on November 14, 2016

We have stayed at the Baywood Inn many times. It is close to Morro Bay and Montania de Oro, Breakfast across the street at the Back Bay Cafe is a treat and the wine hour is nice.

BayWood Inn Still Awesome 11 Years Later!!

4.8 on October 26, 2016

My wife and I went here eleven years ago for our anniversary and it wasawesome then, and it is still awesome now. The only challenge is the limitation of onsite dining, but there is a great cafe across the street, Mexican place next door that is very good, amazing Gastro pub with local craft beers which was the highlight for me, and also a great pizza place less than three blocks away. There is even a dive bar and there is a liquor store to complete the experience. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Baywood Inn except I wish I hadn't waited for eleven more years to return. I encourage anyone who wants a nice romantic getaway and wants to reconnect or someone who just wants to chill and relax in the serene beauty of nature to go to this place. You will be very glad that you decided to. M

A Peaceful Getaway

4.8 on October 23, 2016

We were looking for a peaceful getaway on the Central coast and we returned to the Baywood Inn. The Inn sits across from the back bay between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. We felt right at home because each room is decorated with quilts, comfortable furniture and great beds. It is fresh and clean and there are even cookies and coffee in the lobby. Once we got settled in our room we got out to explore the nearby area, which is amazing. We walked along the peaceful bay and took a hike in the nearby bird estuaries. In the afternoon we got our complementary glass of wine and watched the spectacular sunset. In the evening we relax in your room, enjoyed the complementary snacks and drinks and even borrow a DVD and watched movie. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed wonderful complementary breakfast at the local restaurant. We were so sad to leave and we will return! On our trip home,I received a phone call that I had left my pillows in the room. The staff was so kind and they mailed my pillows back to me. Sara from Long Beach, CA

Love this place

We come here for our special rest time. So peaceful and beautiful.

Reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast

3.0 on October 22, 2016

Room was warm when we arrived. It was comfortable and the view was nice from the room. We stayed in the California room. Breakfast across the street was good.

one night

4.6 on October 19, 2016

beautiful room clean and quiet

Central coast charmer

5 on October 19, 2016

We stayed in 2 of he lovely rooms this visit. The Kensington was spacious, no bay view, but not necessary with the gorgeous fire place. La Provence was a smaller room, but nestled out of the way wig a large bay view. Breakfast at la palapa was HUGE. Left with half for leftovers. Breakfast at back bay cafe is our favorite. Be sure to try the frittata of the day. Perfect location to enjoy hiking, wine in paso, etc.

Nice and Quiet

3.6 on October 12, 2016

NIce small quiet place. Not sure why they put TV in Bedroom and to the side of the bed.

One of our favorite getaways!

5 on October 06, 2016

The setting is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, the afternoon wine is satisfying and the room is cozy. Enjoy!

Romantic Run Away

4.2 on October 05, 2016

This property had everything. Complimentary wine hour, free breakfast in the morning, short walk to many restaurants, ocean view rooms, friendly staff, ocean air and breathtaking sunsets. We will definitely be back.

Awesome Breakfast Burrito!

5 on September 28, 2016

We had a long weekend in Morro Bay and now this is our favorite place. Beautiful area! Great neighbors - we woke early and headed across the street for friendly service. We are tempted to make a 3 hour drive just for the breakfast!

Enjoyable stay

4.8 on September 21, 2016

Good location. Rooms had everything we needed available. Really enjoyed the Tex Mex 2 bedroom suite. Thank you Baywood Inn.

Better than ok

3.4 on September 20, 2016

It was a nice room pretty clean. The fireplace was awesome to have available. Bed was comfy. The wine and chips good... salsa was old and weird cloudy. Breakfast was delicious though the dinner wasn't great.

5 on September 09, 2016

We stayed here for my birthday getaway....couldnt have asked for more. Super friendly and helpful staff, clean, fun rooms, and the buffet style breakfast next door is TO DIE FOR! Beaches are close, we fell in love with the Elfin Forest. We highly recommend, and will definitely stay again!

great location, good value

4.0 on August 31, 2016

I'd prefer a breakfast with more options, e.g. bagels or muffins w. fruit. This is a good reliable option for a spontaneous getaway in a fantastic location.

Another great stay

4.2 on August 31, 2016

This was our 3rd stay at Baywood Inn. The rooms are comfy and cozy - fireplaces and comfy beds (although this bed was slightly less comfy than the last). Each room is unique - we stayed in La Provence this time - french theme throughout. You can get Keurig coffee and snacks in the lobby at any time. The restaurant that serves breakfast is a little slow - staffing-wise, but personable and friendly - they now recognize us. LOL And they are reasonably priced. Although not a typical in home B&B, definitely worth it! The view of the bay is fantastic!

5 on August 29, 2016

Baywood Inn is a very good B&B, even excellnt. Great location with a water view, quaint surroundings, a great vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are shops to explore within walking distance. Oh, we also found the rates to be very reasonable.

Nice place on the bay

3.2 on August 20, 2016

Second time staying at the Baywood. Nice clean, comfortable place. This time we had a suite on the first that unfortunately was right next to the staircase to the second floor. We had a nice view of the bay, but there was a lot of noise from the stairs late at night and early morning. Next time will probably ask for a 2nd floor suite.

fun and easy

5 on August 08, 2016

wonderful week day

Pleasant and comfortable stay in Los Osos

4.2 on August 08, 2016

The room was nice and well kept. It was an accessible room but lacked a shower (had a shower-tub) which is an issue for some disabilities. WiFi was spotty at first and did not work well, but did later on in our stay. Breakfast at the cafe across the street was great. I would recommend the Baywood Inn to others.

5 on August 07, 2016

The baywood in is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life's stresses. I was sad to go back home after my weekend getaway.

One night getaway

4.4 on August 03, 2016

My husband and I stayed at the inn for one night to escape the valley heat. We loved our experience. The room was very cozy and clean. The inn was relaxing and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing!

Good place to stay in big sur

3.6 on July 31, 2016

Great room, with all facilities. However none of the available wifis would work and there's no one to call after 8pm

30th Anniversary Trip

3.6 on July 30, 2016

Quaint & quiet, Baywood was a beautiful stop on our journey up the coast. If you enjoy the absence of hustle & bustle, this is a wonderful place.

Best Place

5 on July 29, 2016

Outstanding place for vacation and relax. Very clean facility. You are my listing always. Thank you

Wonderful Weekend

5 on July 27, 2016

We loved sharing a two-bedroom two-bathroom unit with our friends. We chose the hotel based on value and were not disappointed. Love the place!

Nice Weekend Getaway!

3.8 on July 20, 2016

The property is clean, our room (Emerald Bay) was cutely decorated. Can't speak much for the dining, we could walk next door to La Palapa if we chose but we were visiting family so maybe next time we will try it. We did walk across the street to grab a muffin from Back Bay Cafe which is always good. The room rates are excellent for summer on the coast and I would highly recommend staying here!

Great Day at Baywood

5 on July 19, 2016

Great Staff. Great Property. Great Food

Family reunion

5 on July 14, 2016

We booked 3 rooms, which included 2 suites for a long weekend. While we've had family stay here before, this was our first stay. We all commented regularly on the well-stocked room, fridge and mezzanine; breakfast and happy hour next door were excellent! Our only disappointment is that we were unable to use a B& gift card here.

Nice for a weekend getaway away from the crowds

3.4 on July 05, 2016

This is a nice hotel on Moro Bay but about 15 minutes away from the tourist area. Get the best of both worlds -- a quite place to stay, and only a short drive from good restaurants. We stayed here on two separate occasions. On our fist visit we stayed in the Wellington Room -- a very large, beautiful room but on the second floor with no elevator. Could be a problem if you have to carry up a couple of large bags. Our second stay was in the Provence Room - a beautiful room, but much smaller than the Wellington. A bit cramped for two people with two large suitcases, but it was on the first floor with easy access. Breakfast is at the Mexican restaurant next door and didn't seem quite up to the quality of the hotel.

Good hotel, but hardly a BnB.

3.6 on July 05, 2016

This was a very good hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the location convenient. But, don't expect a typical BnB. The breakfast, although good, was at an adjacent hotel. Coffee at the hotel subpar. I think many hotels are calling themselves BnBs to attract customers, simply adding a breakfast included. I would stay here again, but not as a BnB.

Very enjoyable

4.6 on July 03, 2016

Beach front and wonderful.

Amazing, cozy, friendly stay

4.6 on June 29, 2016

A cozy, amazing place tucked away on the Central Coast. I can't wait to come back.

Nice Place, Ocean View

4.0 on June 27, 2016

There is no On Site Dining. It is at a separate business next door.

Great place to stay

4.4 on June 26, 2016

Great place to stay, thank you

Lovely stay!

3.6 on June 17, 2016

We had a lovely stay at Baywood Inn! Perfect location. Breakfast was via vouchers at the Mexican restaurant next door (La Palapa - it was SO GOOD!) and at the cafe across the street (also quite good). Didn't see any staff the whole time we were there (aside from check-in), but we didn't need anything so it was fine. Can't wait to go back.

Great place to stay if you know you won't be in your hotel all day!

5 on June 17, 2016

I needed to be in SLO for my sister's graduation. I've stayed here before and it was a great place to stay. I wish I was there a little longer to enjoy the bed and breakfast. But luckily they gave us waivers to the cafe across the street. Definitely will be here in the future.

Very pleased with room.

4.0 on June 11, 2016

Emerald Bay room has a great view but you know that. Decor was simple and tasteful and not overdone. Enjoyed the log book for comments - great idea. My friends stayed in California Beach and it was darling. Loved the palm tree. Good food at Back Bay Cafe. Thanks for a very nice stay. Hope to come back next year.

A very pleasant weekend

5 on June 03, 2016

My friend and I were looking to have a wonderful weekend in the Country Cottage and the Baywood Inn didn't disappoint! The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. We loved the cozy feel to the place. I was especially pleased to see the free bottles of water,Gatorade, and Pepsi in the mini fridge. The microwave popcorn was a nice touch as well. It was a great snack as we watched a free movie!

Loved our stay!

4.8 on June 01, 2016

Great location. Rooms cozy and unique. Staff very helpful and nice. We loved our stay.

Interesting Find

3.8 on June 01, 2016

Very nice and quaint find off the beaten path.

Baywood Review

5 on May 31, 2016

Very pleasant experience. The 5pm wine and snack event each day was fun. The Restaurant next door was delightful, with the Sister and Brother owners remembering us after the first day. Convenient to the beach.

We come back

5 on May 04, 2016

We come back because we like the location, value and service. Thank You for your recent help with items left behind. Joseph and Ann Hoffman

great time many years of staying

3.8 on May 01, 2016

We have been going to Baywood inn for several years. Staff has always been great we miss Maria. The only thing that needs improvement is some updates to the rooms, couch and decorations. Also the silicone grout in the tubs.

Visitors from Florida

4.8 on April 28, 2016

When visiting Los Osos we always enjoy staying at the Baywood Inn. Excellent and courteous staff and world class location.

Florida visitor

5 on April 17, 2016

I stay at the Baywood Inn every time I am visiting Los Osos. I have always been most pleased by the decor, cleanliness, and the curtsey extended by the staff. My wife particularly enjoys the town and views of the bay around the Baywood Inn.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

5 on April 12, 2016

Rooms are super clean. We stayed in the Queen Victoria and Cozy Cottage. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Wine hour is nice. Breakfast at the Backbay Cafe is awesome!

A great value and relaxed setting

4.2 on April 04, 2016

We have stayed several times and will continue to return.

Great views, helpful staff, good rate, tired interiors

3.2 on April 04, 2016

The views from the ruins here are lovely - the bay is across the street. The rates are quite reasonable, particularly with breakfast included. The room I had was quite spacious, allowing grandkids room to play. The food offered for breakfast, both from the Mexican restaurant and the inn across the street, was very good. However, the furniture, specifically the arm chairs, was really tired looking and soiled; they should be changed. Maybe raise the rates a bit and do some redecorating? Everything else was lovely.

Best Bang for your Buck in Baywood

4.2 on April 01, 2016

Stayed here twice now in different rooms. Staff is really friendly. Love the different themed rooms - makes me want to stay 18 times. Be warned that the town closes down pretty early. Restaurant next door closes at 9 on a Saturday night. Great for visiting Hearst Castle or if you need a bed traveling along the coast. Plus, some of the entries in the guest book are well worth a read.

A Hidden Gem on the Central Coast

5 on April 01, 2016

I cannot say enough about this great place. This was our second stay. We were in the Queen Victoria for 2 nights, then staff was very accommodating when we needed to stay an extra night and we moved next door to the Country Cottage. The fireplace in the first room was better placed, but the second room had a small eating area that we loved. Food at both the Mexican restaurant and the back bay cafe were awesome. Wine hour was relaxed and pleasant. Make sure to order take out from Nois!

Wonderful time!

5 on March 27, 2016

You will not be disappointed if you stay at this B&B. the rooms are darling and so well decorated. Each room is different. Very clean, great service, and fantastic views of the Bay. This B&B is our favorite place to lodge when we are in the Los Osos, Morro Bay Area. Give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Spring break

3.6 on March 23, 2016

A great hidden gem

Excellent room with view for a good price

4.4 on March 17, 2016

My wife and I stayed in the Emerald Bay room which was very clean and comfortable even though one of the smallest in the place. The bay was across the street and we had a nice view from the second floor. For the price, with a large breakfast at La Palapa next door, this is a great value. We like Los Osos a lot, very laid back with friendly folks. Close to SLO if you want the city and right on the water if you want to relax.

Baywood Inn bed and breakfast

5 on March 09, 2016

This was our first time to the area and was looking for a weekend away. We blindly picked Baywood and were not disappointed. We will be going back again!

We were very pleased.

5 on March 07, 2016

Location, view and next to a great restaurant. We thought it was a great deal! This was our second time and it was excellent.

Great getaway

4.2 on March 05, 2016

This is a great place for a romantic getaway. Not a tourist attraction full of gift shops and etc. Just a quiet place to rejuvenate.

Great location, uniquely designed rooms at a great price!

4.0 on March 01, 2016

We stayed at the Baywood Inn only for a night, but the location was perfect, right across the water. The rooms were interestingly designed and they have a walking tour of the rooms every afternoon as well. The price was great too! Overall a good place to stay!

Queen Victoria

5 on February 21, 2016

We have been visitors to Baywood Inn for 14 years. We've stayed in just about every room. Los Osos is our weekend getaway from the hectic pace of Silicon Valley. There have been many changes since we first visited Baywood Inn, but what has not changed is the quality of service, kindness of staff and overall sense of joy that permeates the Inn. Love the Breakfast choices of La Palapa & Back Bay Inn. Love the treats in the refrigerator, and most of all the fantastic view of the Bay. Thank you so much. We will be back for Spring and Summer.

Great getaway for the value!!

4.2 on February 18, 2016

I was looking for a place to surprise the wife with an extended weekend getaway and the Baywood didn't disappoint. Great views and comfortable room to just relax in. Close to many things to do in Morro Bay area, this is a great "home base" for many activities and was a great value. Thinking about bringing the kids next time and doing the sites in the area and staying at the Baywood again.

Would Stay Here Again

3.8 on February 17, 2016

We were met immediately with friendliness and helpfulness. Our Kensington room was right next to the lobby, and it was wonderfully quaint and cute. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire and warming up after a cool night out at the bay. Everything was very clean and easily accessible. The complimentary breakfast was at the sit-down restaurant next door, and we unfortunately could not stick around for that due to our small window of time available. But overall, we had a wonderful time here and would definitely stay again.

FEB 13

3.6 on February 17, 2016

The room was great, but did not get breakfast because restaurant was not open when we were there at the posted opening time.

Perfect Quiet Getaway!

5 on February 03, 2016

Off the beaten track, but all the more valuable and within a quick drive to Morro Bay and two state parks!

Low key and perfect setting

4.4 on January 30, 2016

This is a low key B&B with lovely setting and rooms are spacious with views of the ocean.

Our favorite getaway!!!

5 on January 21, 2016

We love the quiet town, walking around and seeing the locals at the cafe across the street. So many fun things closeby, Elfin Forest, Montana de Oro, Morro Bay and the coast.

Grab a cup of coffee and relax and enjoy the view

3.6 on January 14, 2016

I was fortunate enough to stay on the upper floor in the California Room. The view from the two windows was breathtaking. I couldn't wait to open the blinds each morning. And being on the second floor, there was some feeling of privacy. Only one unusual feature of the room. There is a creaky spot in the floor near the center of the room near the TV. It made enough noise to wake sleeping folks and it made me feel uncomfortable about the folks staying in the room below. Otherwise, I highly recommend this accommodation and will seek it out the next time I am in the area. Breakfast next door at La Palapa was fabulous! The breakfast portions were so generous I had to have take away boxes daily. The owner of the restaurant was very welcoming and accomodating.

Baywood Inn 2nd visit

3.6 on January 13, 2016

Great room, nice fireplace with room to relax and nice view of the back bay and morning walkers. We brought our own mini coffee maker for first cup but the cafe breakfast included just across the street is a real high point. Delicious food, great folks, locals and visitors alike. This is a favorite new spot to stay when visiting Morro Bay area.

Great Spot

4.8 on January 09, 2016

The Baywood Inn B&B is a gem: tastefully themed rooms (e.g., French country / Southwestern, etc.), friendly and responsive staff, quiet setting with gorgeous views of Morro Bay estuary, & good value. No onsite dining, properly speaking, but tasty breakfast included across the street at the locals' funky morning gathering place. What's not to like?

4.6 on December 28, 2015

We have stayed here many time. Location is very quiet. Sound proofing between rooms is very good.

Always a charming place to stay

5 on December 24, 2015

My husband and I stay at the Baywood once a year, when we are visiting family. We are always pleased with the rooms, the amenities, the courtesy, the breakfast, and the view. You can't go wrong!

Get Away

4.6 on December 20, 2015

Visiting family. Great location. Bathroom counter in our room was very short otherwise a very nice room.

Family Getaway

4.8 on December 09, 2015

Room was delightful except for the bathroom sink being extremely low.

Visit from Kansa city.

2.8 on December 03, 2015

Enjoyed ur stay, this was our second stay. Visiting from Kansas City beautiful weather. It got cold at night, the fireplace was not working on our last night they couldn't do anything about it, so we had to bundle up in blankets. We noticed that the room had some wear and tear, needs a little attention. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant stay in Los Osos/Baywood

3.2 on November 22, 2015

A very pleasant in. Right on the bay, peaceful place to relax. Easy access to walks. Wine hour and breakfast included. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Off the Beaten Track

4.0 on November 04, 2015

Staying here is so far from the vanilla cookie cutter motel stay. Guest comforts are clearly foremost. Each room is decorated differently but most have fireplaces and sitting areas. So much nature all around-- peaceful Morrow Bay, wild Montana de Oro, and charming Pygmy Forrest. San Luis Obispo is a few minutes away.

3.8 on November 01, 2015

We really enjoyed the location and the staff is exceptional. We appreciate the accoutrements and décor. In that this is an older establishment in a humid environment, we understand that there will probably be a residual odor in the room. As long as that is not a health issue, we'll be back.

Great B&B

4.4 on October 27, 2015

We were very pleased with The Baywood Inn and will definitely stay again when we visit this area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The office was very inviting, rooms were extremely clean, location is quiet, and the value was outstanding. My only suggestion would be to offer breakfast earlier than 8am. We usually stay in bed & breakfasts and 7am seems standard (especially for those of us who like to start our day fairly early).

Perfect weekend stay!

5 on October 14, 2015

The Baywood Inn was wonderful. We were a bit skeptical due to some of the negative reviews. We stayed in "The Williamsburg". Large room, well-appointed, very quiet location and CLEAN. Housekeeping serviced the room every day. Beautiful view of the bay. Breakfast included and served in the Mexican restaurant next door. We will definately be returning to the Baywood Inn as soon as possible.

Perfect hideaway

4.2 on September 14, 2015

Quality of the room(s) was excellent. Most hospitable welcome. Dining options are limited but breakfast across the road was very good. We loved the setting and quiet nature. A wonderful find, Would cetainly consider visiting again but with a view to staying longer.

Very nice and charming B&B

5 on August 29, 2015

We had a really great stay, everything was just perfect

Great place

This is a great place, 15 minutes away from Montana de Oro. Excellent value. We would definetly stay here again. ¿¿

Grear view

3.8 on June 15, 2015

Nice little b&b across from the bay. Room was clean and comfortable. Quaint area.

great place!

5 on June 10, 2015

We recently stayed at the Baywood Inn and we were very happy with the facility. This was our second stay in the Baywood area but the first time at this inn. We had the la Provence room and very pleased. The room was small and cozy and very clean. Cleanliness is top priority as I am cleanliness freak and I felt very comfortable. This inn is located on the bay in a very quiet neighborhood with 3 very good restaurants within a block. Not many places to eat in Baywood or Los Osos. I give this place 5 stars. We will be back!

Excellet service and stay

5 on June 10, 2015

This had the best bed I've slept on at any hotel. The service was great and the breakfast portion was fantastic!!!! Ariel was a great representative of this companies foundation. Keep up the good work and thank you, will be back.

Great Night in Baywood Park after Hearst Castle Visit

4.4 on June 08, 2015

Fantastic B&B experience

4.4 on June 01, 2015

We were upgraded to a better room due to availability which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

A nice place

3.2 on May 29, 2015

Enjoyed the Monday Farmers' Market & Elfin Forest.

An incredible way to start off married life!!

5 on May 26, 2015

Baywood Inn in Los Osos was everything we hoped it would be and more! Peaceful, romantic, and quaint with a perfect little cafe directly across the street with a beautiful view of the estuary. We came here for the incredibly reasonable price and fell in love with the place, will definitely be back again, and again...

Quaint comfortable and cozy.

4.8 on May 20, 2015

Great deal and view of Morro Bay Estuary! The service and value were outstanding.

Great visit!

4.2 on May 16, 2015

We had a wonderful stay. Room was clean and spacious, with a nice view of the bay across the street. The inkeeper brought us a glass a wine after we checked in-a really nice touch. The breakfast was yummy. Overall an outstanding value. We'll definitely be back!

wonderful discovery

4.6 on May 13, 2015

This was our first visit to Morro Bay and we couldn't have picked a better B&B. The Baywood Inn is wonderfully situated with water views, interesting rooms and a perfect blend of rustic quiet and terrific amenities. We hope to visit again.

A couple of days away

4.8 on May 06, 2015

We love the Baywood Inn, the quiet, the view. The staff is incredibly friendly. It is our "go to" place on the central coast.

Baywood is a great location

3.4 on May 06, 2015

The Santa Fee room has great views but the dinning table and chairs need to be more comfortable and suitable for the room

I wish I could rate this place higher...What a find off the beaten track and a little piece of heaven. Maria was welcoming, attentive, kind, gracious, personable, professional, I seriously could go on forever. We were greeted with wonderful snacks and due to perfect was wine hour, with the best chips and salsa around. Wonderful comfortable room with a great view of the most wonderful Bay. Great nights sleep followed by an incredible breakfast at LaPalapa. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great bed and breakfast experience.

Great stay!

Conveniently located in beautiful Baywood. Great views across the street at sunset. Friendly staff. Free glass of wine and breakfast. Great value

Exceeded expectations

4.8 on April 20, 2015

I read many reviews before booking and some were mixed. We loved it and will definitely return. We spent Easter weekend with out two college aged daughters. Our youngest attends Cal Poly and had no time off for Easter. I loved getting a voucher to go across the street to have breakfast at our own leisure. The restaurant next door ended up being closed on Easter so we had the wine and appetizer reception in the check in area. Beautiful, quite and affordable. The snacks in the room were a nice added touch. I almost didn't want to do this review because I want to keep it a secret so it's available when we want to come back! However, since I read some mixed reviews and I use reviews to help make my decision where to stay I wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay and the quality of the room.

LOVE Bayeood Inn

4.8 on April 15, 2015

This was our first time staying at Baywood inn. We stayed in the Cape Cod room. We absolutely adored the room and it exceeded way beyond our expectations of a bed and breakfast. We paid for our room when we checked in which I liked because it was easy check out, we just dropped off the keys and left! The mini fridges had complementary waters and beverages and small snacks which was awesome, and was replenished each day! The only thing that was a little unfortunate was that the café across the street got really busy and there was a long line… But I would definitely stay at the Baywood inn again I was totally impressed so worth it!

Lovely place

5 on April 05, 2015

Everything was lovely, and the setting is beautiful overlooking the bay. We enjoyed the cafe where breakfast was provided. The family-owned restaurant next door, La Palapa, was friendly and served great food.

Great location. Great value.

4.6 on March 26, 2015

This was just a brief stop on our way home from a longer stay in LA. Wished we could have stayed here longer. The room was very pretty, very clean, with all the amenities we needed. It was just a short 15 mins. drive to the beach we wanted to visit. Great view from window, as promised. Top floor view was probably better...All for a great price!

Great staff!

3.2 on February 21, 2015

Room was charming, thoughtfully decorate and and clean with the exception for the mildew growing in the shower. Staff was kind and helpful. Mexican food was below average, but again staff there was congenial. We will stay there again, but I will check the shower before committing to the room next time.

Hidden Gem!

5 on February 18, 2015

My girlfriend and I stayed here only as a stop along our route to Carmel, however, after our amazing stay we both thought it would be a great trip all on its own. We loved the coziness of the room, the fireplace in the morning, and the window with the view of the bay was priceless! The breakfast next door at the Mexican restaurant was fantastic as well. I'm not sure I have ever had chile verde that good, and I live in San Diego where the Mexican food is second to none. The Baywood Inn is definitely on our short list of places that we would travel to again!

Excellent Value on Morro Bay

4.4 on February 02, 2015

This is a very nice little inn in Los Osos. My room was very comfortable and had excellent views of Morro Bay. The staff are very friendly but unobtrusive. Very reasonable rates for the quality offered. Dining options a step away. I will return.

Romantic and cozy

5 on February 01, 2015

I have gone through a divorce and nasty custody battle in the last year. Getting back out there and dating was scary and nerve wrecking. I met an awesome man and we had been dating for a few months. We needed to test the waters with a weekend getaway. The bay wood inn was adorable and the perfect place for our romantic getaway. The people who worked there were professional and curtious. We are next door for breakfast and had and amazing chili verde omelette. Overall our stay was perfect. Rooms were cute, clean, and had a lot of charm. We will be returning.

Great stay for our visiting friend from Texas!!

5 on January 29, 2015

We reserved the Victoria room for 2 nights for our friend....He has stayed there before and absolutely has the best time....No complaints on this end...Very..very happy we have such a GREAT place for family and friends to stay when in Los Osos!!!....Hilary

nice and quiet

3.8 on January 21, 2015

My husband and I have stayed here 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years (usually for our anniversary). We were a bit disappointed this time. The first few times you could order breakfast to be delivered to your room (very nice!) but not any longer. The last time we stayed you went downstairs to the restaurant next door and were served a substantial breakfast. This time the innkeeper gave us vouchers for a small breakfast across the street. (I understand on the weekends breakfast is available next door). The room was clean (although in need of glass in one of the fireplace doors, hence no fire). I would still recommend a stay here, great view of the bay. A little sad that it isn't as nice as it used to be.

A beautiful getaway

4.2 on January 02, 2015

My husband and I stay at the Baywood every year when we visit family. We always look forward to seeing a different room, enjoying the view of the bay, and the extras included, such as soda and snacks in the room, a wine hour. The Baywood is in a nice quiet area. A great escape.

Showing Its Age

2.6 on December 31, 2014

About our 4th or 5th stay there over the years. Really needs some maintenance and TLC. We stayed in "Quimper" room starting Christmas Eve. We brought a nice champagne to chill, found the in-room refrigerator did not work (instead had a bucket of ice inside it). The shower valve very difficult to pull up without entire bathtub spout trying to pull away from the wall. On our last night, outside temp in high 30's, wall furnace would not come on at any setting (we used gas fireplace for heat). Also, the bathroom fan and heater are on the same switch (though one of 3 wall switches did nothing) resulting in blasting heat when exhaust fan turned on. Room cleaners did bare minimum, left a full trash bag and some obviously empty boxes on floor next to the dining table. You can hear pretty much everything in adjacent rooms, but we knew that already. We do like quiet Baywood Park, though. or a very good seafood meal, try The Sea Chest on Moonstone Drive in Cambria (get there early- no reservations and cash or check only, with an ATM inside. I got there at about 5:10 PM and was already about 30th in line. Many people "tailgated" in line with their own wine and quite a few sat by a nice outdoor fire ring while someone held a spot in line.

Enjoyed our stay...

3.2 on December 11, 2014

We stayed in Country Cottage I believe room #103.? It was relatively clean except the couch was pretty old and there was loose dirt under the cushions. The heater was not working in the room which we told the staff about. They said they would have housekeeping look at it which they said they did and it still did not work. Not bad for when we were there but when it gets cold people will freeze! Also the bedroom window leaks air badly which we let the inn keeper know about. Location was good and breakfast and wine/chips social hour was nice.

4.0 on November 13, 2014

We stayed two nights, ground floor, Cape Cod room. Very casual, comfortable, clean. Water backed up a little in the tub when taking shower. Nothing major but we did inform manager when we left. Love the setting, view of the 'bay'. Received vouchers for breakfast. Choice of two 'restaurants' within walking distance, for eat-in or food to take back to room. Neither the office or restaurant/café open early which is different. Overall liked it a lot and will definitely return!

5 on October 29, 2014

I love this place! The room was great, located within walking distance of several restaurants and a bar with live music. Right next to the water surrounded by a residential area. So, no cars or tons of people out to wake you up or bother you. Just a quick ten to fifteen minute drive to beaches. Absolutely amazing and we plan to go back very soon.

October vacation

4.4 on October 28, 2014

Hotel was beautiful.. Rooms were clean, big, comfortable we had the Sante fe room which was a 2 bed/ 2 bath with a fireplace . Only complaint was we were given breakfast vouchers for 3 places.. However 2 Places were never open for breakfast durning our stay... And the Mexican pmCe that was supposed to do wind with chips and salsa every night never was open durning our stay the office would sit out bottles of wine in the office. Not quite the same :/

Loved it!!

4.8 on October 23, 2014

We spent our 17th anniversary here and absolutely loved it. The room was charming with lovely decor and real oil paintings. We could have stayed in the room all day and just enjoyed the excellent view of the Back Bay. It was very comfortable and quiet, cozy by the fireplace. We enjoyed walking in the quiet little community with lovely gardens that go right up to the Bay waters. We will be back when we find the first excuse to go. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, Bill & Karen

Baywood weekend

3.4 on October 21, 2014

Please leave tv instructions in the room. We arrived after check in and would never have guessed that the one channel needed to be on 3. Also - for late check in - in your instructions explain that the key is for the door knob and not the deadbolt. We had trouble getting in - finally figured it out.

Great little hideaway

3.4 on October 16, 2014

This was our second time staying at the Baywood Inn. Love the room and that it is off the beaten path. We've always enjoyed our stay and our room. The only downfall this time was that we left trash outside of our room and it was never picked up during our two day stay.

Baywood Inn B&B

3.6 on October 07, 2014

We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again. Maria, the on-site Manager is very personable and made the evening get together a lot of fun. For the breakfast you have to go across the street but with the nice weather and good food it worked out fine.

Last summer hurrah

3.8 on September 14, 2014

Made reservations here for our last summer weekend before school started which was the weekend before labor day. This was great because it was not crowded. The location was right by the lake, restaurants were all just a few steps away. The staff & locals were very friendly and accommodating. The whole area had a very good vibe. We did our walks and meal times in a very relaxing environment. My family will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful Inn. Repeat customers.

Surprise gem

4.6 on September 03, 2014

After previously living in San Luis Obispo for about seven years in the 90's, went back to the Central Coast. I never ever visited Baywood Park while I was there. What a surprise! The Baywood Inn B&B did not disappoint. Super friendly staff, lots of treats, and loved the option to try two area restaurants within a one minute walking distance for the included breakfast. For such a small town, there are several eating options within walking distance. Very interesting history about the structure and how creative to turn it into a B&B. Had no expectations and left super satisfied. If I ever come back to the Central Coast, definitely would return.

Awesome place to visit

One night stay at the Baywood Inn was quiet and beautiful.

Nice Ocean Views!

2.6 on August 30, 2014

Great location and nice ocean views from the California room. The breakfast options were disappointing as there was only a limited menu for guests from a nearby cafe. No good options for dinner nearby so we went either into Morro Bay or to San Luis Obispo.

Sweet and peaceful stay

4.4 on August 29, 2014

We needed some time away to do little other than relax. We were greeted with enthusiasm, the cottage was lovely, lots of nature at hand, directly across the street from the bay, breakfast cafe across the street with delicious meals....couldn't have asked for anything more.

Loved those mini cinnamon rolls

4.4 on August 27, 2014

As I was unpacking my suitcase, I found an extra set of keys to room 106. I will send them back via US Mail. Thank you again for very pleasant stay. Our room was much nicer than we expected. We will be glad to have another visit and stay at your Baywood Inn.

Last minute mini vacation

3.8 on August 25, 2014

We wanted to get away from the heat and started looking around Morro Bay. Found the Baywood inn had a one room that fit our schedule. Very nice room with a separate bedroom and a beautiful view! Very cozy area and a nice coffee shop across the street. Great base to set out on all our site seeing, wine tasting and hiking on the bluffs. I plan to use the again the next time we want to visit the area! I would recommend them to any couples that need to get away!

Can't wait to return.

5 on August 21, 2014

Needed light bulbs in bathroom. Rather dim , for us old folks. Make up mirrors would really be great The view was very nice.Breakfast was outstanding!

Surprisingly sweet

4.6 on August 20, 2014

Our trip was a bit last minute and I found a vacancy at the Baywood Inn, in their last available room, the Queen Victoria Suite. It was very sweet with Victorian decor. There were modern conveniences (blow dryer, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker) all tucked away and out of sight. The hotel provided bottled water, some soda's, hot chocolate in the room without charge. The sitting room had a fireplace. Everything was very clean (which I'm a bit paranoid about) We had wine in the evening and breakfast was nice. The hotel is off the beaten path, but is a good place for someone not looking to be in the middle of the action.

Baywood Inn Stay

3.8 on August 19, 2014

Quaint but OK....

4.4 on August 17, 2014

Whenever I visit SLO/Los Osos, I always stay at Baywood Inn. Each room is uniquely charming and romantic. In each room there is a sweet guest book filled with adventures and experiences. There are some rooms very close to the office but there is still privacy. Try to stay on the second floor to insure a beautiful bay view and privacy. Each room has a very comfortable bed, complimentary snacks and beverages, cable and wifi. The rooms usually contain a living room with another room off to the back for the bed. Our nickname for this lovely inn is "bed with no breakfast" inn, however you are provided with breakfast vouchers. Also, the front office always has delicious cookies. My only issue is that there is no sort of loyalty program. I only stay at this inn when I visit several times a year for multiple nights.

Good for the money

3.6 on August 16, 2014

Loved the area! The option of getting breakfast at Back Bay Cafe or the Mexican Resturant next door was awesome! Room was a tad dated and there was mold in the bathtub. No air conditioning, but it did not damper the great time we had exploring Paso Robles wine region and Central Coast

Just what we needed!

5 on August 12, 2014

This was just the vacation we needed after a summer of doctor's visits and before I went back to teaching for the year. My husband and I had the most relaxing time and the staff was most accommodating to our needs.

Last night of Honeymoon

3.2 on August 10, 2014

We were pleased overall by our experience and already referred you to another romantic couple. Good value compared to many other similar accommodations over our 19 day honeymoon. Decor was kitschy (we were in the country cottage room) but not sickly so. We took it as cute but some may find it outdated or forced. I think other rooms fit our aesthetic better but were not available. The large size to the room was wonderful and we enjoyed our fireplace. The trust you have with leaving extra amenities available for the taking upstairs was also appreciated. And your location was killer - what a cute bay you have :) I didnt want to leave. Two negatives experienced though: Upon arrival at 6:45pm, the manager (badge said Maria?) was MIA. We pressed the intercom and she didn't hear us but we sure could hear her singing while vacuuming. I'm happy she has fun at work but it was unprofessional in the context that we could hear it. We also tried calling to see if she would hear incoming business but that didn't work. 10 minutes of waiting until she realized anyone was in the lobby was too long - and since we had dinner reservations in San Luis Obispo at 8pm, any further wait would have caused problems. Once we were noticed she gave an explanation but was seemingly unapologetic. I am not upset - but if you can't hear waiting customers over necessary functions of the hotel (like vacuuming), you need another system. And you definitely need to have a sense of urgency - guests should come first. The other had to do with breakfast. I know you have a partnership with the cafe so it wasn't really on you, but the vegetarian options were very limited and they had run out of items. As I said before, experience was overall great. Just a few things need to be tweaked. We will return.

4.6 on August 08, 2014

My short stay was very pleasant. i liked the room -- clean and nicely decorateaad, the location -- quiet, not touristy, the welcome -- very gracious and helpful, and the breakfast across the street at the little outdoor cafe on the bay.

Hidden gem on Central Coast!

5 on August 05, 2014

Baywood Inn was the last stop on our Central Coast vacation, and it turned out we did save the best for last. The location in Los Osos was lovely. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We stayed in the Emerald Bay room. It was very nicely decorated, extremely clean, and had a wonderful view of the bay. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, as well as granola bars and microwave popcorn! At 5pm, wine was served next door at La Palapa, a Mexican restaurant. The cabernet was delightful and the pours were very generous. In the morning we had breakfast at La Palapa as well and our food was delicious and free with the voucher we received from Baywood Inn. This was one of the best experiences we ever had in a bed and breakfast and we will definitely go back to the Baywood Inn!

Our Special Place

4.4 on August 01, 2014

This was our second time at the Baywood Inn, and we have made it our anniversary destination. We were not disappointed in our overall stay. We were sorry that a favorite breakfast stop was closed temporarily. On our first stay the innkeeper brought us some little chocolates and a split of some sparkling wine after we told her it was our anniversary. Not this time. Not really a big deal, but it seemed as if the staff was a little stretched thin. The inn was almost full the entire stay. We locked ourselves out, and the office was supposed to be open, but we had to wait an hour on Sunday morning to be told how to get into our room. Still, we intend to return, and perhaps try a different suite next time.

best of best

4.6 on August 01, 2014

The stay was more than I had expected. The room was cute, clean and comfortable. The ambience was quiet and relaxing when no one stayed upstairs. Especially breakfast was scrumptious and home made style. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed the stay at Baywood Inn Bed n Breakfast.

lovely and quaint...perfect stop over place

4.8 on July 27, 2014

Very quaint and comfortable place. Beautiful location on the bay. Very attractive inside and out. Staff extremely welcoming and accommodating. Loved the charming room (La Provence) cuter than the photo, especially the pretty gas fireplace that will come on automatically with the appropriate thermostat setting for the cool evenings. All the little extras in the room and office were very nice. Breakfast across the street was delicious and servers were adorable. Would definitely go there again.

Wonderful get-away location

4.6 on July 27, 2014

This was our second stay at Baywood, having originally been referred here by our daughter and her boyfriend. It is in such a great location--on the water (bay) but a little protected compared to the open coast further north. Also SO convenient to get to San Luis Obispo or the myriad other attractions of the Central Coast. The staff was very helpful. Overly generous at Happy Hour, and with great suggestions for dinner locally. Of the breakfast options, The Back Bay Cafe across the street has been our favorite, both for the food and for the waterfront location.

Los Osos Getaway

3.8 on July 23, 2014

Very nice location, Very quiet, nice to get away there.

OK, but needs investments!

3.0 on July 22, 2014

The Inn is overall OK and you can see that staff tries to take care - but especially in the TexMex room some investments need to be made. The sofa in the "living" room is so old and dirty that my daughter even refused to sit on it, the chairs nearly fell apart and the overall appearance in the room(s) is old and "smelly". For over $200 not as expected.

Pleasantly Surprised

4.6 on July 20, 2014

We usually stay in Morro Bay or Cambria when we come to the coast, but a friend highly recommended the Baywood Inn. We had never been to Los Osos and we are so glad that we took my friend's advice. The room was adorable and the view of the bay was gorgeous. What a peaceful place off the beaten track. We will be visiting again very soon! Gloria and Steve C. from Hanford, CA

All is well

4.4 on July 07, 2014

This was a very nice place to stay. I had very little interaction with the staff as we were gone most of the time we were there and did not take advantage of all of the amenities. We liked the refreshments in the room and the cleanliness of the room. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and had plenty of room for a family of four. The breakfast vouchers for the Back Bay Café was nice and convenient and near the bay. I would likely stay here again.

Love this B&B

4.0 on July 02, 2014

Perfect get-a-way

5 on June 18, 2014

With a view of the bay, a fireplace, and decor fit for cape cod, this was the perfect place to call home for the weekend. We were coming off a Bahamas cruise, straight to a college graduation/Father's Day weekend. Normally that would be a huge reality check, but the baywood inn made it a continuation of our relaxing, pampering trip. They even allowed us to pick up our keys way beyond normal check in times. Breakfast at the back bay cafe was delicious. The very best bacon in have ever had, plus free refills on coffee until 1pm. We never made it to the free wine in the afternoon, so will have to try that on our next visit. And there will DEFINITELY be a next visit! We all especially loved the guest book in the room documenting guests stays over the last 5 years. Fun to read and to add to.

This is a beautiful and romantic bed and breakfast hotel with a wonderful view of the bay. I would highly recommend it for a romantic event.

Such a treat!

4.6 on June 12, 2014

Stayed in the room right next to the lobby. This hotel was so quiet and it met all my expectations. I used the fireplace both nights I was there which made the stay in the room special. You're so close to the ocean water, the view was amazing at hightide. The stay at the Baywood Inn was so worth the value for a, "beach hotel." Will make reservations there every time!

5 on June 05, 2014

I was amazed by the quality and the attention to detail in this Inn. The location is beautiful, the room was spotless clean, there were tons of props and complimentary details. You can pick included breakfast in 3 different restaurants, the happy hour complimentary from 5 to 6 was a pleasent surprise, the wine was wonderful, and it was limitless. At night, they have a DVD library, not the most updated films maybe, but such a nice detail. The fireplace gave it such a homey feel. Everything was outstanding. We will actually just go back to be back in this Inn.

excellent stay, great breakfast right next door!

4.6 on June 02, 2014

The Baywood Inn was our best stay of the trip. The complimentary breakfast at the Mexican restaurant next door was great, and I'd strongly recommend the place for dinner as well. The rooms are clean and spacey and excellent with kids. Great service and all fridge contents (drinks and snacks) are complimentary!

Trying hard - some disconnects.

3.4 on June 01, 2014

We've been coming here for at least 20 years so we know how good it could be. We were disappointed by little misses like being out of soap and a weekday breakfast that doesn't have the expected choices. It's still a better than average base for visiting Morro Bay. Take your long lens for the bird sanctuary and take the drive up north past Hearst Castle to the elephant seal rookery.

So Perfect!

5 on June 01, 2014

My triplet sisters and I stayed here for our birthday and we had such a wonderful time. The front desk staff was beyond friendly, easy to talk to and very accommodating. They were willing to go above and beyond to ensure we enjoy our stay and we truly felt like they cared about our overall stay and experience at their B&B. Would recommend it with flying colors to anyone!

Baywood Inn B&B

4.0 on May 29, 2014

Nice location on the bay and near state parks, hiking, biking, and kayaking. The breakfast vouchers were great and good for the local restaurants. Service was great. The rooms need to be updated a bit, not really a B&B... Seemed more like a nice early 90's hotel... Price was a bit expensive. We would definitely return and recommend.

Baywood Inn

3.0 on April 24, 2014

Casual ambiance, surrounded by restaurants that appear to be popular. No meal service. No breakfast served at the inn; they give guests a voucher for the meal at one of the neighboring restaurants. Walk to beach. Couldn't make the TV work, no instructions. Bathroom amenities included everything but enough soap...just a little triangle tucked nicely into a gift bag.

Unusual but delightful B&B

5 on April 23, 2014

Our room was wonderful with all of its amenities. Participated in the early evening tour of a portion of the rooms as each room was laid out and decorated differently. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Was able to try 2 of the "related" eating establishments - for dinner and breakfast. Also enjoyed walking along the edge of the estuary and in the local neighborhoods. We're looking forward to going back again for another visit.

One night at Baywood Inn

4.2 on April 22, 2014

Cozy yet spacious rooms

4.0 on April 16, 2014

Rooms felt like being in someone's home with the decorations and wallpaper. Has a view of Morro Bay. Very quiet area. Fridge included complimentary drinks. There is a wine hour from 5-6pm at the restaurant next door but service there was pretty terrible as we waited over half an hour for anyone to serve us then they disappeared again so we couldn't get any refills. The inn itself was very nice and those who worked there were great.

The best little hideaway!

This is a charming little B & B. We have been coming for many, many years. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it because I don't want it to get too popular. It is in a charming little town and sitting and watching the tide come in and out is truly peaceful. The breakfast choices are wonderful! This is such a great little secret so shhh!!!! Please keep this to yourself!

Fantastic Bed & Breakfast

5 on April 09, 2014

We have stayed at the Baywood Inn on several occasions. This one was for our 23rd wedding anniversary. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us warmly and told us about the wine reception and breakfast the next morning and then proceeded to ask if we'd like to upgrade to a room with a view. When I asked the price difference and she told me it would be the same as I was originally quoted, I knew right then and there when I come back to the coast, this is where I will be staying every time. I will also be telling everyone I know to stay at this wonderful little piece of heaven!!!!!

Great B&B

4.2 on March 27, 2014

We enjoyed our stay very much. Room was clean and quiet. We loved the "fireplace" heating system! And it was a nice large TV. La Provence was nicely decorated. Next time we might get a larger room, but this room had plenty of space and was convenient.

Great place to get away.

4.4 on March 26, 2014

This B&B is located just across the street from the Bay in Baywood. The rooms are wonderful and the setting is beautiful for those of us who love being near the ocean. The staff is very good and we'll be staying here again soon.

Well Worth the Value

3.8 on March 20, 2014

We spent two nights at the Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast in one of the less expensive suites. The room was quaintly decorated and clean and exceeded our expectations in the amenities provided. Not only quality in-room coffee but also refreshments and snacks. The soaps and hair products provided in the bathroom were also good quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative would be the lack of a guest available ice machine. Ice is obtained from the office during business hours and after that from a large bowl in the community room. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and plan on doing it again in the future.

Great find!

4.4 on March 17, 2014

Staff is very friendly.

Half way trip

5 on March 12, 2014

My boyfriend and I meet halfway from LA to SF here in Los Osos. We didn't know what to expect at our visit at the Baywood Inn, but now on out second visit we have declared this the official halfway spot! We like staying in different rooms, so far the Cape Cod and California Beach, both beautiful in their own unique way. The rooms are homey and the food at the local areas are delicious and have a special homemade vibe. We can't wait for our next visit! If it wasn't for these visits, I don't know how our relationship would be honestly. Thanks Baywood Inn!

weekend on the bay with best friends

3.8 on March 10, 2014

we loved being at the baywood - los osos is the best place - quiet, beautiful and relaxing

It beats staying in SLO

4.8 on February 27, 2014

We come down from the SF Bay Area several times a year and always stay at the Baywood rather than in SLO where our student-son is.. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and nicety decorated. There are lots of little freebies - wine, bottled drinks, snacks - that you never see elsewhere. The breakfast option sare unusually good and the Mexican restaurant next door is great (but often really slow). This is one of those rare gems of a hotel you wish you knew about.

Great Stay.

3.8 on February 27, 2014

We enjoyed our stay at the Baywood Inn very much. The room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully done. The location of the Inn to nearby parks was very convenient. We would stay here again.

Great Stay

4.4 on February 27, 2014

Our stay at Baywood went perfectly. Our room was warm and comfy. The view out of our room was sublime : beautiful sunset. We enjoyed the peace and friendliness of the people. The breakfast to Back Bay Cafe was very good. We loved having available movies. We highly recommend this hotel for the quality of the welcome, calm and visits can be done nearby.

A Lovely Stay in the Santa Fe

3.2 on February 24, 2014

The room was large, full of Indian arts and crafts, and quiet, The view of the bay was spectacular. There was a large parking lot which made loading and unloading luggage from the car quite simple. Our two complaints: the lobby was empty upon our arrival and repeatedly ringing the bell did not bring help, and there was no bar of soap in the bathroom.

We loved the Baywood Inn

5 on February 21, 2014

It was a very pleasant surprise and a great value. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast provided at the restaurant a couple doors down the block was excellent. A total joy on our two day stay.

Love the Baywood Inn

4.8 on February 17, 2014

I stay at the Baywood when I visit my son and family in Los Osos. I love it there. The service is amazing. The manager is so helpful…goes beyond the call of duty! Great wine hour, great breakfast options. We really appreciate the snacks and drinks in the room. Bed and room are very comfortable and clean. I would recommend upstairs rooms less sound issues. I recommend it very highly!

Los Osos, CA B&B

4.2 on February 12, 2014

Cool little town, very quiet with great views. Don't forget to eat at Nois for the best Thai food anywhere.

Unexpected surprise

4.2 on February 08, 2014

We visit Los Osos on a regular basis but usually stay in Morro Bay or San Luis. On our latest visit my husband found the Baywood Inn on the internet. It said bed and breakfast, not our favorite, with private entrances so we tried it. We were so surprised when we got there. The rooms had beautiful views, delightfully decorated and spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, goodies to eat and drink, and a quaint downtown area. Breakfast vouchers were given for each morning to be used at a choice of three restaurants. The Backbay Restaurant was funky and delicious. We we treated well and will now call the Baywood Inn our home away from home when visiting the Central Coast.

Greatest hideaway in California

4.8 on February 06, 2014

The charm of the country set at the seashore . We love this place and can't wait to go again.

Great view, great B&B

5 on January 28, 2014

On the bay, so take a bayfront view room if possible. Free wine at 5 p.m., good breakfast choices with vouchers for a place next door, friendly and intelligent staff always on top of things. Best value I've experienced in a long time.

Beauty, Romance, Comfort, Peace and Good Times!

5 on January 23, 2014

If you are looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Central California Coast, this is the place to go. Your jaw will drop at the amenities you find in your room. A lounge area with fireplace and a large sleeping area. The staff are great too. Wine hour next door at the Mexican restaurant next door with yummy chips and salsa. A coupon for breakfast at one of three very good places. The sunsets over the bay were amazing. Thank you Baywood Inn B&B for a lovely stay!

We loved the many choices for breakfast and tried them all.

4.6 on January 22, 2014

We loved the room and and all the amenities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved our stay. And will stay again I am sure.

Best kept secret on the central coast

4.8 on January 15, 2014

Maria is an excellent host. She made us feel welcome and is helped us with whatever request we had.

A Nice Retreat

4.2 on January 14, 2014

No one there at check-in but an hour later everything went very well and we were well taken care of. Provided an extra special breakfast both days.

Lovely rooms but no soundproofing

3.2 on January 08, 2014

The room was larger than I imagined, and well-appointed. But there was no soundproofing between rooms and floors. Imagine the television next door or above playing in your own room... not great, especially at 3am.

A quiet getaway

5 on January 07, 2014

I stay at Baywood Inn several times a year as a personal retreat. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is wonderful and the area is serene and mellow. The bay views from the room are outstanding and Baywood, itself, is a sweet quiet community. A short drive to Moro Bay, Cambria, San Luis Obispo. I have sent many people to Baywood Inn and everyone has raved about it. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene getaway.

We love Baywood.

4.2 on January 06, 2014

We stay at the Inn once or twice a year. We love Baywood and we love the Inn. The suites are wonderful -- I can go to sleep while my husband stays up later. We also love the coffee across the way first thing in the morning, overlooking the peaceful bay. We live in LA and this is one of our favorite places for peace and rest.

What a Find!

5 on January 06, 2014

This place is fabulous. It is right across the street from the harbor. There are 3 choices for the delicious complementary breakfasts just a few steps away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and decorated nicely and not too frou frou (La Provence room). The free wine tasting in the evening was so fun! I would highly recommend this unique and delightful Inn.

Baywood Inn

5 on January 05, 2014

Great rooms. Wonderful accommodations. Great value.

Great spot to relax

4.2 on January 05, 2014

A surprising little getaway. Themed rooms just as pictured on website. They even give nightly tours of available rooms. Will be difficult to choose a room next time as all are appealing and unique.

An unconventional B&B

3.8 on January 02, 2014

As we approached 2nd Street where the Baywood Inn is located, we both became a bit concerned. The surrounding streets were under construction and many businesses were closed. The streets appeared to be deserted. Perhaps this was because our visit was during the weekend between Christmas and the New Year holidays. When we turned into the parking lot, we were one of only a handful of vehicles, and our concern mounted. We were greeted by a nice lady who checked us in and explained the arrangements and the property. As we were headed to our room, others began arriving, and in short order the place was filling up. Our concern completely went away when we entered our room (Santa Fe). It was very nicely decorated and was much larger than we had expected, with a fireplace, a dining table looking out over a large window on the bay and a nicely appointed bedroom with plenty of closet and storage space. The room was very quiet – no fan noise, no rumbles or traffic noise. I never heard any sounds from the surrounding rooms with the exception of running water at a low level. The room was very clean and did not have any odor of cleaning products. This isn’t a typical B&B. Guests are given vouchers for breakfast that are good at three different café’s all within a very short walk of the Inn. We tried all three cafes but the Good Tides café had the best breakfast of the bunch. We both enjoyed the Irish Oatmeal and the coffee was very good. The Inn is close to Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo for some good dining options and an easy drive to other Central Coast attractions. The Montana De Oro State Park is only a couple miles down the road and offers great hiking trails. I recommend the Bluff Trail for stunning views of ocean erosion where water meets rock. I wholeheartedly recommend the Baywood Inn and would not hesitate to return some day.

Beautiful Baywood Park

5 on December 29, 2013

We spent Christmas in Baywood Park. What a wonderful experience. Because the local restaurants were closed, the management made arrangements such as delivering the wine for wine tasting to the rooms and a lovely breakfast to the room.

Nice place on a quiet scenic corner.

3.6 on December 13, 2013

Very pleasant room. Wonderful location. Good choices for breakfast. Light outside the window is too bright for the night. Would prefer a bar of soap instead of all liquids. But everything else was quite perfect.

Baywood Inn

5 on December 11, 2013

Fantastic stay, excellent room with all services, cosy fireplace and the surrounding country was awesome

Baywood Inn very nice.

3.0 on November 06, 2013

I was uncomfortable going next door for the evening wine. The wait staff their could not help us and the Baywood Staff was busy with check ins. We also had to wait for the Hostess to come to check us in. It was also a little odd to go elsewhere for breakfast, but the restaurant we chose was wonderful. This was a very peaceful setting.

We'll be back. We had an outstanding experience at you lovely B & B.

Downhill Gang Trip

4.4 on November 01, 2013

There were 11 of us in 6 rooms all of which were individually decorated. All of us loved our rooms. Mine had a living room with a separate bedroom and bath. It looked out on the bay. The value was terrific. Breakfast and happy hour included every day. Can't beat that. We would definitely come back to the Baywood Inn.

The Perfect Getaway!!

5 on November 01, 2013

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Baywood Bed & Breakfast. We loved the location, the room, the staff, and the relaxing atmosphere. It more than exceeded our expectations. All the extra little touches like, complimentary snacks and goodies, a good assortment of DVD's to watch, a knowledgeable staff to help us with things to do/see in the area, choices for breakfast, a relaxing atmosphere. We've already told several of our friends about it and can't wait to come back! THANK YOU!!!

Enjoyable stay

3.2 on October 28, 2013

We stayed in the blue room next to reception. It was a lovely room, but needed a few little repairs - torn wallpaper, loose towel rails etc. Next time I would choose a quieter room - on the top floor, and away from the laundry. The staff were great and we really enjoyed the gatherings with other guests at evening drinks, and breakfasts at the cafe across the road.

Third visit

3.6 on October 26, 2013

Have been going here for several years. Unit is showing signs of wear. Small things need to be looked at like the grade of TP. Lovely location. currently there was construction going on in street every morning. Will return.

Haven of peace and beauty

Great Place To Stay--But Eat Breakfast Elsewhere!

4.2 on October 16, 2013

The Inn has very nice accomodations and the staff couldn't be more accomodating. However, as a B&B it fails miserably. Had breakfast at I what I believe was the Good Tides (outdoor restaurant in same location as the Egg Sculpture restaurant). Had poor menu choices, lousy food and basically it was a poor fast food restaurant. Didn't even provide spoons to stir the coffee! Personally, I would stay at the Baywood again, but I would eat elsewhere.

Will Stay Here Again!

5 on October 15, 2013

Location, style, cleanliness and courteous service cannot be beat. Baywood Inn is the gem of Central Coast. We will return and tell our friends about this place.

If only I knew about it sooner....

5 on October 09, 2013

I would have stayed at the Baywood Inn at least three or four times in the last few years if I had known about it. My girlfriend and I love Morro Bay so we decided to hit up the harbor festival. We walked around there a bit, then went and checked in. The short version of the story is that we blew off everything else and never went further than a block from the Inn the rest of the weekend. We are already talking about our next visit, and out plan is to do exactly the same thing!

Liked it so much, came back!

4.6 on October 09, 2013

Stayed on a Thursday night on a planned trip up the coast. Free wine from 5 to 6, got a nice buzz and enjoyed the sunset on the back bay at a bench across the street. Cape Cod room fantastic, two-sided fireplace to keep the room warm. Ladies in the front office took care of all our needs. Knowing our plans to visit Yosemite the next week were likely doomed due to govt shutdown, I asked if there were any openings for the following Monday. Maria was able to hold the same room for us. Baywood is a cool little enclave with a few shops and restaurants, off the beaten path. Would definately stay there again on future trips.

A warm and comfortable weekend stay

4.8 on October 09, 2013

I just wish we could arrive earlier to enjoy more the tranquility and beauty of this B&B and surrounding area. It was a wonderful stay on a Saturday night. The hot breakfast is great as well!!

A very fun and relaxing get-away place for southern Californians!

4.2 on October 07, 2013

What a great place to stay. Everything was terrific. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was attractive and clean and very quiet. Looking forward to going back!

Baywood Park Room with a view

4.0 on October 07, 2013

We had seen this property when we had stayed in that area, but never realised it was a B & B, The price is what attracted us, and it is certainly good value. You get the choice of 3 different places for breakfast, the Good Tides was fabulous, the view from our bedroom was excellent apart from the construction vehicles out front. The staff were friendly and you get plenty of snacks. There's plenty of parking out front, and lots to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

awesome stay

One night stay at Baywood Inn in Los Osos

5 on September 25, 2013

My wife and I stayed for one night at Baywood Inn. We had the Santa Fe room. The rate was very good for a nice place within easy shooting distance of SLO. Room was large, with a separate living room and bedroom. FIreplace in living room, king bed in bedroom. Room was nicely decorated in southwest theme. The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was a real breakfast at one of three adjacent restaurants/cafes, not prepackaged muffins in a breakfast room. Overall, couldn't have asked for a better stay; especially at the price. We'll be going back.

California Coast Road Trip

4.4 on September 23, 2013

The Baywood Inn B&B was by far the best place we stayed at throughout our road trip. As my girl friend would say...this was the bestest ever! We were so surprised when we were shown to our room...all we could do, was jump for joy! We had arrived late, and missed the wine and salsa and chips. Without even asking, they graciously brought it to our room, no less...two big wine glasses of a nice, red Californian wine, with a bowl of homemade salsa (and spicy too!) and tortilla chips. We couldn't have been more tickled pink! We had a choice of where to have breakfast...we chose Good Tides Coffee House...yummy! and included in the price. The view from our room, the Emerald Bay room, was fantastic and calming. We had a fireplace, which we cozy! I would go back there in a heartbeat, and plan on going again in the near future. I highly recommend this B&B.

Birthday Weekend with Family

4.0 on September 18, 2013

Did a quick birthday celebration at the California coast. Great to have a suite available on quick notice that could accommodate our family. Only worries: 2 big black spiders with their webs in the corners of the high windows and ceiling area of the main room. It was noisy with the neighbors next door coming home at 2am and banging on the door---it sounded like it was our door. The rooms didn't seem as clean as the last time I stayed. There was a musty odor in the north bedroom. Would have loved to have had a ceiling fan in the bedrooms. Everything else was great!

baywood inn

4.2 on September 07, 2013

Great location. Enjoyed the bay sunsets very much. Unhurried atmosphere. Great breakfast restaurant selections! Would definitely stay there again but would select a room upstairs to reduce stomping and water pipe noise. Walls are a bit thin for comfortable sleeping.

Good deal and great location at Baywood Inn

3.2 on September 04, 2013

This unique B&B sits right across the street from the back bay of Morro Bay. It's a very good deal as the cost of the room includes a nice glass of wine with chips and salsa at 5 pm, and vouchers for a great breakfast at a choice of 3 restaurants, all within a short walking distance.

Pleasant, comfortable stay in lovely Baywood Park at the Baywood Inn

4.0 on September 01, 2013

I would like to highlight Jennifer. She is a model employee. She is a very hard worker and helped to make our stay enjoyable and satisfying. She welcomed my husband and me to the Inn on a Sunday night. There was a problem with the heater in the requested room, however, Jennifer relocated us to another room which we had never stayed in...the Americana. It was colorful and bright and comfortable. The next day she perfected the room by bringing the room to a higher standard by changing sheets and pillowcases and completed the stocking of the refrigerator. Jennifer doesn't have to be asked to do something. She is quick to assess and accommodate to make one's stay perfect. She multi-tasks receiving guests with a smile, handling phone calls and scheduling room stays, cleaning rooms at times, and doing laundry. She does it all...pouring wine in the evening before the room tour. She even helped in the restaurant as she accommodated guests and handled incoming calls to the Baywood Inn. When I return to the B&B, I want Jennifer to welcome my husband and me back and be able to take care of our needs. Kudos to Jennifer. An added note: Best breakfasts at the Back Bay cafe across from the Inn which your vouchers apply. Thank you, Jennifer, for making our 4 nights stay special!

Great Service

4.2 on August 30, 2013

We've stayed at Baywood Inn many times. Jennifer checked us in; we had never met her before. She was so great. Seemed to anticipate everything we needed. Always cheerful and ready to be of help to us. She made our stay particularly special. Our room's heater didn't work. She immediately got us into another room without a fuss. Even gave us the choice of a couple of rooms of equal value to the original. What a valuable employee she must be for the Inn.

My room had a wonderful, serene view of the bay. It was quiet and relaxing. Many dining options nearby and the proximity to Cayucos gave it a 5 star location rating by my estimation! Very friendly innkeeper, and coffee, snacks, and wine offerings welcomed me the moment I arrived.

Excellent hideaway!

We really enjoy returning to Baywood Inn every time we take the coast trip to San Francisco and then on to wine country. The rooms are delightfully decorated and very comfortable. And the food at the bayside cafe the street is scrumptious. The blackberry scones are to die for!!! Also good Mexican food next door. Very fresh and friendly service.

Many Happy Stays

4.2 on August 18, 2013

I stay at the Baywood Inn whenever I'm visiting the Central Coast and have enjoyed many pleasant stays there. The area has a small-town, quiet atmosphere, the views of the bay from most rooms are wonderful and there are many things to do nearby.

Unhappy breakfast

2.8 on August 12, 2013

My husband and I stayed at this Inn that they call a Bed & Breakfast. This is the first time we have stayed at a B&B that did not serve us breakfast. We were given a voucher to find a place to eat between 3 different places. Since it was Thursday there was only option available. The Inn keeper had a major attitude towards us from the beginning. The room was nice and clean. We did receive an AARP discount but did not like having to go someplace else to find breakfast or the attitude of the Inn keeper. We will not stay there again.

Baywood Inn 2 times

4.6 on August 10, 2013

Stayed a few months ago and the room we chose was amazing we couldn't of been more pleased. When I had to return to SLO for business last week we stayed at Baywood Inn again. Requested the same room and couldn't believe how noisy the room and lounge room up above was, thought there was construction going on until well after midnight. Not sure if we will stay at the Inn again, plus the heater didn't work in the morning, we were very cold.

Very helpful over the phone

5 on August 06, 2013

I picked this place because of the great location and the other reviews. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip, the week before. The front desk was very informative, friendly and kind. I will deffinently book at this place again.

Great little get away

4.4 on August 05, 2013

This trip started off poorly when my husband and I arrived at the Inn just in time to see the staff member working the front desk bolt away from us and out the back door. We were quite upset that after a long drive she would look straight at us, then go out the other way. After and hour the staff member returned and at that time she acted as if nothing had happened. After this small fiasco the stay was great. We utilized the wine and cheese hour and were happily surprised at the generous glasses of wine and great restaurant atmosphere. We also dined at the La Palapa restaurant where this happy hour was hosted. The Country Cottage Suite was very cute and clean. It is comfortable with a living space and a bedroom. I especially liked the fireplace. If you don't care too much about bunnies and ducks on the wall, this room was slightly less expensive and very nice. We also dined at the Good Tides breakfast joint. It looks small but they had a killer veggie scramble and croissant. Definitely go there for the included breakfast.

We stayed at the Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast for two days in the Manhattan 100 Suite. It was very nicely decorated and very pleasant. The room had everything we would have wanted it to have and the price was quite reasonable. Also, the location was just fabulous - just across the street from the bay. I liked the fact that we could have breakfast 3 different places. We choose Good Tides bistro and that was very nice and homey, plus the food was really good. Would highly recommend this location for a short getaway as there is so much to do nearby. Marcy Wingard, Newbury Park, CA

"The at the Beach" Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast

3.8 on July 27, 2013

I've not been to Los Ossos in over 30 years. I was looking for the best accommodation centrally located between Morro Bay and Pismo. I took my two daughters on a once in a life time trip to see where I grew up at and enjoyed my childhood at the beach. I chose the Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast. Having never been there before It looked ok on line. After a long day sight seeing and driving, we arrived. I knew I picked the right place. The staff was great!! All smiles and friendly and after a long drive we were ready for a nice quite night. After we got settled in off we went to the beach right across the street and dove in, the water was great cold like the lakes where we are from in Washington. After a great nights sleep we had breakfast across the street at the Back bay café great food. We all ate the scrambled eggs and apple smoked bacon on a bed of spinach with real sour dough toast. yummy!! Back to the Inn to pack up for another day of sight seeing. The staff again was at their best. Check out was simple and not rushed. We chatted for a while and visited with the Inn's mascot a small shy friendly dog my girls made friends with. I given the opportunity in the future I would stay for a week and make the Baywood Inn my destination rather than a stop for the night. Thanks so much for your hospitality Robert and the girls Medical Lake, Wa.

Most pleasant stay we have ever had. A Home away from home.

5 on July 26, 2013

We made our reservation for just me and my husband for our anniversary. Our whole family was in town there for a graduation and we ended up having our kids with us the first night. The Baywood Inn said that would be no problem at all. After checking in they followed us up to our room with extra blankets and pillows and made sure we had everything we needed. A few hours later they returned up to our room with extra hot chocolate and mugs for the kids and even gave us some more free breakfast vouchers! They even stocked up the mini fridge with extra soda and gatorade and some snacks that were all included. The entire stay was very much like that. The staff there are extremely nice and caring. We stayed in the Appalacian room and it really felt like a cozy little cottage. The view from our room was beautiful. We loved everything about this place and will definetely stay there again. I've also recommended this place to my family and friends. It was also very affordable for everything that is included and the excellent service. On our last day there we returned to the room after a day of shopping and having dinner and the staff brought us up some really yummy truffles on a plate with a framed letter saying Happy Anniversary to us. We thought that was a very sweet gesture.

A lovely place to stay, and to return!

4.4 on July 26, 2013

We had only one issue, and for us, it was minor. We only stayed two nights, but in the intervening day, our room was not serviced at all by staff. We brought a soiled towel to the innkeeper for replacement (someone cut himself shaving), and received an apology for the oversight. We did find out that the innkeepers do everything, including housekeeping duties, so we will be generous with our review in that regard. If we had stayed longer, or had something that was more seriously in need of care, it might have been a bigger issue. We did not have a "do not disturb" sign on our door at any time, either (which was a question we were asked when we brought in the towel). The wine hour and breakfast options were interesting in that they were off site, but looking at the tiny community and the large quantity of work for the innkeeper on duty, it was understandable. We loved the little cafe and Tracy, the cook/staff in charge. It's a great place to visit, and we WILL be back. Maybe we will make it our annual anniversary stop!

suprisingly beautiful :)

5 on July 25, 2013

What a beautiful place! Loved the decor, the fireplace, the staff! The bed was so comfortable, as well as the couch. So nice to have breakfast too, i have already recommended it to friends and family. The drinks and snacks made it feel extra welcoming, and we will definately be back!

Great get-away stay

5 on July 25, 2013

The Baywood Inn continues to provide excellent service as well as wonderful rooms with amenities including drinks, snacks and a DVD library. There were three restaurant choices for breakfast. We chose Good Tides because they delivered to our room and we were definitely pleased with the food. We will definitely return here . Thank you, Maria, for making our stay special.

Very desirable

4.6 on July 22, 2013

Baywood inn more than met our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, chic, and generously Stocked with snacks. And of course the Friendly staff that offered a very accommodating service.

Ray & Maureens stay

3.4 on July 17, 2013

Very pleasant 2 night stay. Room was very clean. Breakfast was served in 1 of 3 restaurants next door and across the street. The breakfast's were not that enjoyable. Would have preferred breakfast onsite at the Inn.

Stayed for four nights to get out of the heat and enjoy a quiet week at the beach. The front office staff is wonderful and will help you with any questions. The rooms are outstanding and the bed very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the view of Morro Bay and the evening light on the bay.

4.2 on July 14, 2013

I would recommend this Inn to anyone that wants a quiet and very comfortable stay at the beach on the Central Coast of California. My husband and I returned for our third stay and have never regretted the time spend at Baywood Inn B&B in Baywood/Los Osos California. We plan to go back!

pleasant stay, beautiful location

4.8 on July 14, 2013

The Hotel was very nice. Beautiful location and the staff was all so helpful. They allowed your to go upstairs and get more room supplies/food if you wanted more. The breakfast voucher to the Mexican Restaurant was the best. Food was ample and it was right next door to the hotel. I would stay here again!

great value

4.0 on July 13, 2013

The rooms are great. The fact that the suite we were in (cottage) had a private bedroom meant a lot, because we could put our son to bed in there and then watch a film on TV (which you cannot do at a regular hotel). The breakfast at the cafe across the street was awesome. The service was great: they provided a rollaway bed for our son and a breakfast voucher. The only thing that spoiled the experience somewhat was that the sheets had not been changed (covered in hair of different lengths...yuck) and some of the towels had traces of makeup on them, which suggests that room cleaning tried to cut corners on that one. When I contacted the innkeeper, they were very gracious and came right away and replaced everything. OVerall good experience. Will stay there again.

Perfect 4th of July!

5 on July 10, 2013

There were 4 of us that stayed in the Tex-Mex suite (July 4-7) & we were so impressed with it. Rooms were very clean & the mini fridge was well stocked with complimentary drinks & snacks. The staff was very attentive. Put it all together & our family had a very memorable 4th of July!

California Beach room

3.4 on July 09, 2013

We stayed here over the 4th of July holidays. The room has a great view of the bay, being on the 2nd floor. The room was clean, and service was good, when you could find them. Dining at La Palapa was an experience. The food was excellent, but one of the staff never put silverware and napkins out(this happened both times we ate there). A waitress apologized, and gave me a free beer. For breakfast, we went to the Bayside cafe, the food was excellent there as well. Okay, now the odd things. Most of the electrical plugs are very loose, so if you try and charge things, it won't stay plugged in. The glass coffee table seems hazardous, definitely an "adult" room. A thick mat in the bathroom made it difficult to close the door, not a big deal. All said, we would stay there again!

4.2 on July 05, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Cape Cod room was comfortable and clean. We had a problem with fireplace but that did not cause any distress. We definitely will recommend to others.

Great location

4.0 on July 04, 2013

This was a great hotel with great staff. We enjoyed our petite provencal room. Very cozy but good. The view of the bay outside was great. Secluded yet still convenient with the restaurants and general store nearby. Thank you!

A Great Night at the Baywood!

5 on June 30, 2013

My husband and I were on our way up to Northern California, and we wanted to stay near SLO for a night to break up our drive. We saw the Baywood Inn on-line, and the reviews were good, so we thought we would try it. The Baywood was wonderful! The room was unique, cute, and comfortable. We enjoyed the wine tasting next door that was complimentary to our stay. We had breakfast at Good Tides, and it was delicious! The food was tasty and healthy, and the fruit was amazingly sweet. Our stay at the Baywood was very enjoyable, and I would definitely go back to stay there again!

60th birthday celebration

4.4 on June 29, 2013

What a delight. We live on the Central Coast and our usual destination for a get-away over the years has been to Cambria. A co-worker suggested the Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast and we were not disappointed. There are so many activities available with the Inn conveniently located near San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Looking forward to our next stay!

Fantastic in every way!

5 on June 24, 2013

Staying at the Baywood Inn is a not-to-be-missed experience. Everything about the Inn is top drawer. From the friendly staff to the delightfully decorated rooms to free amenities it all exceeds expectations! My friend and I took the Avonlea Suite for one night & wished we could have stayed longer. The bedrooms were huge and oh so comfortable. The sitting room with a fireplace was delightful. We had our own dining table and enjoyed a full breakfast from The Good Tides Cafe which was delivered from across the street. The amenities included free water, energy drinks & soda in our fridge, free popcorn if we wanted to watch one of their free DVDs. Warm & comfortable rooms. The staff was very nice as well. Warm and welcoming. Definitely consider this B&B if you are in the area. This was my 2nd visit in 10 years & I would love to visit them again.

Perfect escape

3.8 on June 23, 2013

Above average & comfortable beds. Very quite and relaxing Inn and neighborhood, perfect escape!

We'll come back!

3.8 on June 22, 2013

The room was quiet, charming and comfortable. We loved the basket of goodies and the choices of restaurants for breakfast. The walk along Morro Bay is always outstanding. The room we had next to the office was very nice except for the view out of the back window. Someone had stowed an old headboard out there in front of a fence. It was a little trashy to look at - kind of at odds with the rest of the place. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Beats any hotel by far!

4.0 on June 18, 2013

Graduation weekend at SLO could have been a nightmare if we had chosen a hotel in town or Pismo but we hoped for something calmer and we struck gold! Easy to get to, plenty of parking and beautiful bay views, we liked it the moment we drove up. Friendly check-in, beautiful rooms and great restaurants so closeby.... we will be back!

Weekend getaway.

A Beautiful Place

4.0 on June 10, 2013

A Group of 4 between 31-52yrs. We stayed at the Baywood Inn as a stopover from LA to Monterey. This place is truly beautiful and if i was in this part of america again i would definately stay here. The beds were lovely and the decor cute because each room has been decorated to different style and timelines. We stopped off at Santa Barbara on the way and arrived after the ususal check in time. We rang ahead and they left keys for our apt in the dop box outside the office. The only downsides to this trip were that the restaurants close at 9pm so we coudnt use them that evening. The other was that there was a funny air vent come cooler/heater which allowed the two rooms no privacy as you could hear everything from room to room, which could have been embarrassing. The bay has a tide and i woke early and went for a walk, the tide was out and wading birds were making use of the mud flats. Breakfast vouchers were given as there are no facilities for breakfast at the baywood, these are redeemable locally in various places and we enjoyed the breakfast we were able to claim. As we were leaving to travel to our next destination the mist started rolling in and gave an eerie faewell. Thank you

delight weekend on the central coast

4.0 on May 30, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Baywood Inn Bed and Breakfast. The room was cheerful, clean and had a lovely ocean view. We were warmly welcomed by the pleasant staff. Everything was as advertised, but better. Complimentary wine before dinner, a choice of three venues for breakfast and in-room snacks, provided a nice touch and was appreciated by us. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to express our appreciation.

Enjoyed our stay, we would definately stay here again.

Week-end stay to visit our son at Cal Poly

3.8 on May 22, 2013

We love the location of the Baywood Inn, and the choice of multiple restaurants for breakfast. However, in the Manhattan Room, we noticed a few of the lamps and the alarm clock didn't work. The light switches and hot/cold water in the shower were backwards from the standard and or labeled incorrectly. This resulted in a surprise "cold" shower in the morning. Also, there was a bedside table only on one side of the bed, I had to place my book and water on the floor, a bit awkward..But, all in all, we love this location and would stay again, especially if the items mentioned were corrected.

Our Second Stay

We enjoyed our time at the Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast. This was our second time staying here and will continue to stay there when we visit the Central Coast.

Tranquil visit

4.6 on May 08, 2013

If you'd like to get away from busy streets and relax in a clean and quiet room this is your place. Since we found this jewell by the sea we have stayed 3 times in the same room. The room was recently improved with new carpets, beautiful bedding and electrical outlets. Across the street is a fabulous little cafe that makes the best french toast I've tasted. The inn was filled yet so quiet you'd never know it.

Great Weekend Getaway

3.4 on May 02, 2013

We received a gift coupon for a stay at the Baywood Inn B&B. We were thrilled because we are familiar with this area on the Central Coast. We were able to take day trips to some of our favorite spots and come back in the evening to a comfortable, clean, safe place. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful Baywood Inn

ThIs B&B made my stay a unique experience. It sits right next to the bay near a national park. Online I selected the room decorated in French provincial. Neighboring businesses and staff were welcoming and friendly.

Perfect Pleasure

5 on April 24, 2013

This location is a treasure for many reasons, not the least is the friendly greeting and the hospitality shown by the staff. The two men in our party loved the treats available during checkin! Due to prior commitments, we were unable to partake of the breakfasts offered, but all three venues sounded well worth exploring. Next time!

Just could not say anything less than outstanding.

5 on April 23, 2013

We did not anticipate how this place would be. The picture on the web page does not merit the actual place. The reception was outstanding. We were a little over the time for happy hour and the front desk just got the drink for us to enjoy in our own room. It does make a great difference because we did have a long drive. The place is just close to the bay and just being there is so relaxing. Who want to spend money overseas. Should look into what our country can offer.

A hidden gem

4.4 on April 17, 2013

Stayed here for one night on our way down to Santa Monica. This location was gorgeous and very peaceful. We loved the wine tasting idea and enjoyed dinner at the Mexican restaurant next door. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we appreciated the complimentary snacks and cold drinks in the fridge. Breakfast could be eaten at one of three locations and we chose the Back Bay Cafe outside, it was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our only concern was that we heard quite a lot of noise from the upstairs rooms, so if you are a light sleeper then maybe request an upstairs room instead. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

A beautiful, peaceful place

4.8 on April 17, 2013

Rooms are clean and inviting. The inn's location on the back bay encourages wide-eyed ambling and nature watching. Close to the attractions of Morro Bay and the wild beauty of Montana de Oro state park. Maria at the front desk is kind and resourceful. Jim and Nancy, Arizona.

5 stars on everything except dining...No restaurant there...

Amazing Getaway!

4.6 on April 03, 2013

We found this place while searching online for a great getaway weekend to celebrate our anniversary. And we can not wait to go back with our daughters!!! It was such an amazing, quiet, relaxing location. We dinned around the area and all the food was great. We are recommending it to everyone we know!

Love this place.

4.0 on March 27, 2013

Everything was great with the Baywood. If I had one complaint, the service at breakfast was not good. The waiter seemed preoccupied with his friends in the kitchen (we could hear them all laughing and joking) and when we wanted to leave we could not find him. After about ten minutes we just left. I should also mention there were only three tables with people there.

Favorite place to stay

5 on March 24, 2013

This is by far one of the best jewels in the area. We have been staying here for over 25 years and every time we stay here we love it even more.

Two weeks work-away-from-home

5 on March 18, 2013

The perfect place to stay for a business trip. Quiet, convenient, ideal for me, since I normally work from a home office. Very relaxing. Breakfasts at the cafes were wonderful.

A very enyojable stay.

4.0 on March 16, 2013

Rooms in the first floor have a nicer view and more privacy. It is no typical B&B because breakfast is not served in situ, but in nearby restaurants. You can choose the type of food you want and they have room service. We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant attached to the Inn and it was remarkable.

A peaceful retreat

4.8 on March 16, 2013

I had a wonderful two nights at the Inn while visiting friends in the area. The staff is exceptional - friendly and informative. (They mailed me a bracelet that I didn't even know I'd left behind.) The rooms were charming and extremely comfortable. I will definitely return.

What an absolute treat!

4.6 on March 13, 2013

I had the pleasure to stay at the Baywood Inn and I would go back in a heartbeat. I never know when I book something online but this place exceeded my expectations in all respects. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was actually larger than I thought it would be. My girlfriend checked in before I got there and she thought the room was adorable which is always a good way to start a romantic weekend! We stayed in the Kensington room. Do yourself a favor, avoid the typical hotel and stay here!

Amazing place to stay

5 on March 13, 2013

It was our 1st time staying in a B and B and Baywood Inn has set the bar really high. The room was really clean and special. the view from the room was spectacular. The Mexican restaurant next door was really good. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Great Views of the Bay from this Warm and Welcoming Inn

4.6 on March 12, 2013

We stayed in the Cape Cod room, my girlfriend and I being particularly fond of the east-coastal vibe. The room is huge! This is one of the best values I have ever experienced. They give you vouchers for breakfast (not on-site), which are good for 3 restaurants within 100 yards of each other. We went to Back Bay Cafe the first day and it was so good we went again the next day! Get the frittata, and consider yourself lucky if they have the Linguica. The bacon is also good. When we arrived, we had to wait a little because the manager was off-site. But it turned out to be fine because she was setting up the FREE wine for guests at the Mexican place next door. The room was almost perfect. The fireplace and sitting area were wonderful, and the bed and bath area were clean and comfortable. The only, and I mean only, problem we had with the room was that the ceiling/2d floor had a squeaky spot right above the bed. For light sleepers this could be a problem. But all of the rooms looked excellent and the service was superb. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone staying in Los Osos, and I would stay here again.

Slow down and relax.

4.4 on March 12, 2013

If you are stressed out and just need to get away, this is the place ! Beautiful views and friendly people make this an excellent place to stay !!!

We will stay again!

4.4 on March 11, 2013

My only complaint was guests who smoked right outside the door. I did tell someone but by then they were leaving. We would stay again, lovely views and easy location.

Romantic (Out of Season) Getaway

4.8 on March 11, 2013

My boyfriend and I drove up from southern California to have a two day getaway to reconnect with one another. This was the perfect place! Hardly anyone was there and the peace and quiet was much needed. The Baywood provided everything we needed and more. They even had a dvd library! The view from the Williamsburg room was beautiful and there were a lot of good hiking areas and outdoor activities to keep us occupied. We suggest the La Palapa for dinner! We ate there every night. If you cant make it up to the Baywood in the summer I highly suggest the spring. The weather is just a little cool but the beauty of the area and the lack of people makes it a wonderful experience!

A Nice Getaway

4.6 on March 06, 2013

We initially had planned to stay in Morro Bay. So happy that we found this place in Bayview! We really enjoyed this sleepy little town and the surrounding area.

Best value I have ever experienced!

4.6 on February 28, 2013

Great room (Cape Cod) with tons of space, free drinks & goodies and a wonderful view. We loved the breakfast dining options, but I could see how some people looking for a more traditional B & B experience may not like it. Only problems we encountered were tons of road work in the area, which the Baywood Inn has no control over and the room noise from above. It was great until the BIG guest upstairs wanted to march around before bedtime and I knew when he rolled over in bed. But I would not for a second hestitate going back! I just might try an upstairs room, though.

Great Place

wonderful B&B

4.2 on January 24, 2013

I spent a night there with the girlfriend as the last romantic weekend before I deploy overseas. The staff was fantastic, they were fast and friendly, the view of the bay from our room was beautiful. Being able to relax on the couch in our suite with a glass of wine with a fire in the fireplace was a very nice end to a great day.

Nice room, friendly staff.

3.8 on January 18, 2013

The room was very spacious and we enjoyed the fireplace while we were there. Two of the three cafes that serve breakfast for the Inn were open during our stay and the meals were small but good. All were just across the street so it was very easy and low key. The fridge was restocked with water but had to ask for the juice to be restocked. The room was clean and the linens changed when requested. The staff were very nice both in person and on the phone. The value is about average given the location and local pricing. I would go back when visiting the area.

Wonderful Place to Stay and Great Value!

4.6 on January 09, 2013

What a great find! For just over $100, we had a romantic room with a great view of the Bay, a working fireplace, adorable furnishings that really made you feel like you were in a faraway place (France for us...we stayed in the La Provence room), and a giant free glass of wine to start off the night. I highly recommend staying here when you want to break up your drive to or from the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Great place to spend a night!

We have stayed here various times over the past years, and have always had an amazing time. Baywood Park is such a wonderful, peaceful break from life in downtown LA. I love birds, so the birdwatching in winter is a big bonus. The inn is one of our fave places to the rooms and the service too. We stayed in the Santa Fe room this time and loved it. Will come back again and again.

Beautiful Central Coast right outside your Window!

An Annual Guest

4.4 on December 27, 2012

We stay at the Baywood every year when we visit relatives. We try a different room each time, and have never been disappointed. One downside to La Provence - the outdoor lights permeates through the blinds, making the room a little lighter than I would prefer. In most other rooms, the bed is further from the blinds. They could use some light-blocking curtains. Other than that minor complaint, we love the Baywood. Breakfast at La Palopa was slow service, but good food. Definitely recommend a retreat to this quiet and beautiful corner of California.

I would go back if I knew that they change bedding for every guest

3.4 on October 03, 2012

The location is great and price is unbeatable! We stayed at 2 bedroom suite and it was nice. Both bathrooms were pretty big. We had breakfast at La Palapa restaurant (only available on weekend) and it was outstanding. Breakfast potatoes were the best I ever had. The only issue with this bed and breakfast is that they did not change sheets from the previous guests. There were somebody's hair on my sheet. I was very upsetting since everything else was great.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the review of our Inn. At the Baywood Inn we take great pride in providing a super-clean room. With regards to the "hair on the sheet" sheet issue, we do take this seriously. Just a simple call to the innkeeper and we would have promptly replaced with clean linen and remade the bed. For your information, we do change out ALL linens after every check out with fresh, clean towels and sheets. In addition, it is our hotel policy during same guest stayover to change out any towels daily, when placed on the floor. We wash all of the linens on premises using detergent and bleach with our state of the art washers and commercial linen dryer. Due to guest sensitivities to dye and perfumes, we do not use fabric softener. We do apologize for your inconvenience and will redouble our efforts to insure this does not happen again. Maria and the Staff at the Baywood Inn.

Another outstanding B&B in Los Osos

Nice B&B

3.2 on September 19, 2012

The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We stayed in the Briar Rose room. It was clean and stocked with snacks and drinks such as tea, coffee, soda and Gatorade. We were provided various options for breakfast from the local resturants next to the inn (included in room price). The food was very good. The only issue we had was regarding the wireless access. It was not available in our room, but we could use it in the lobby and parking lot. Other than that our stay was very relaxing.. We will return.

My stay in the Kensington Room

An Unexpected Little Find

3.6 on August 29, 2012

I was a little skeptical about this office building-turned-B&B, but it actually works. The room themes all seemed varied, with a large potential for the "cheese" factor, be we were pleasantly surprised when we showed up. The Santa Fe was decorated tastefully, comfortably, and actually made us wish we were staying longer. The in-room free wireless was also a nice surprise and useful in planning and verifying last minute wine tasting and attraction info. We were anything BUT impressed, though, with the Good Tides breakfast. There were flies all over the eating area, and just a counter order/pick-up service, with a woman who was trying to do too many things. Food was undercooked, heat lamps didn't work, and the portions were just average -- we ended up ordering and paying for extra food beyond our alotted ticket portion from the hotel. We went to Good Tides based on the menu and reviews we'd seen, but the place across the street from the hotel was doing a much better business, and we wished we had gone there instead. We'll come back to the Baywood Inn, but won't eat at Good Tides.

I met a girlfriend from LA mid-way here in Morro Bay & we really enjoyed the back bay area, & our two bedroom tex-mex suite at the Baywood Inn. A special bonus was the Sunday Peter Paul & Mary Revue on the local pier! Morro Bay & Cayucos were our nearby dining spots.

Los Osos Nugget

3.4 on August 19, 2012

Room was above average - good decor, very clean, & nice amenities. Not a true B&B ... Vouchers provided for breakfast at a couple of local places. For breakfast (& lunch & dinner) don't miss Good Tides (a hole in wall restaurant) - chef is personable & food is outstanding. Big plus is enchanting view of the bay from 2nd story rooms!

First time in Morro Bay

3.6 on August 15, 2012

Baywood Inn was a pleasant surprise. While not located in the more bustling tourist town of Morro Bay it offered an exceptional room (really more of a one bedroom apartment). Nice Country French decor in the Quimper room and a comfortable queen size bed. My wife and I are used to a king-size bed but we managed well with the queen bed. Staff was attentive but since they divided their time between the Mexican restaurant next door and the hotel their response time was a little slow. Vouchers were given for breakfast to be used at 3 locations right next to the hotel. Food was good at the 2 places we tried but we would have enjoyed a more typical B&B type of breakfast served in the facility. We visited the Hearst Castle and it was a very pleasant 40 minute drive to the visitor center. The town of Morro Bay is about 10 minutes from the hotel. The Baywood Inn is a convenient place to stay if you prefer a more quiet environment while being only a short distance away from other tourist attractions.

Baywood Inn

4.0 on August 12, 2012

The Baywood Inn sits across from the water on the Back Bay. Having once lived in the area, I heard this inn recommended many times. It did not disappoint. The Baywood/Los Osos community is quiet, Slower than "SLO". While the location does require a commute to downtown San Luis Obispo, it puts you smack next to Montana de Oro State Park and Morro Bay. Sweet Springs Preserve is within walking distance. Rooms are large, with great views and outstanding cleanliness. Service is terrific. Our room had a poor shower head, working but wimpy. The Inn replaced it within hours. A nice, quiet stay on the bay.

6 Nights at Baywood Inn B&B

4.4 on August 11, 2012

The Baywood Inn B&B in Baywood Park/Los Osos, California is a charming place right on the Bay. I stayed 6 night in the Manhattan, while a bit old fashion the room was spacious and had plenty of charm and very clean. Extra blankets and pillows were provided without having to ask and there was so much storage, everywhere, it really felt like I was in someone's home. So nice to curl up in front of my gas fireplace after sunset as the fog rolled in. The best part of the stay was the Girls that work there. Friendly, and accommodating in all respects. The little touches like free drinks and snacks in the room and the free wine with chips and salsa "happy hour" were wonderful. There was a choice of 2-3 places to eat free breakfast and all were wonderful in there own way. The same locations were just steps away for lunch or dinner and the food and atmosphere was so enjoyable. The area overall has so much to offer, with stunning views, charming towns, bird estuary, great seafood and hiking abounds! Comparatively, a great value for the area!

Not Really a Bed and BREAKFAST

4.0 on July 28, 2012

My husband and I always stay at a B&B whenever possible as we get almost always getter better service, better value for our money, and opportunities to socialize with the owners or Inn manager. We also really like the personalized, varied, and unique meals we get for breakfast. We had stayed at the Baywood Inn in September 1995 for our 5th wedding anniversary and really liked it. Unknown to us, The Baywood Inn took the breakfast room and converted it to a guest room, forcing us to use coupon vouchers for neighboring restaurants. One restaurant was very crowded, one restaurant did not open on time according to their posted openings and closings (and was only available to Inn guests on weekends), and the last restaurant offered a limited selected to Inn guests. We were given a choice of 4 restaurants and 2 of them were Mexican. Allthough I will say the restaurant we did end up eating at 2 days in a row, The Good Time Cafe (Organic Food) had excellent food, but there was no indoor seating.

Best Place To Stay in the Morro Bay area

4.6 on July 12, 2012

My wife and I were married on July 4th and spent our honeymoon here. We were absolutely thrilled when we walked into the room and couldn't have been happier with our whole experience. Our room (the Cape Cod) was lovely, the view was great, the service was wonderful and the whole experience provided a spectacular honeymoon experience. We will come back again and again. I looked all over the Web for an affordable B&B and the Baywood Inn is the best value in the entire Morro Bay area, hands down. One draw back was that being on the first floor we could hear what sounded like stomping from the upstairs room. Next time we will get a room on the second floor, it would also have an even better view of the Bay..

Will come back

4.0 on July 08, 2012

We were hoping for a clean bed. What we got was surprised by the nice staff, clean rooms, beautiful view. I stumbled upon Baywood Inn while searching hotels along the SoCal coast. Definitely worth another stay. It is a small town, and this hotel/B&B stands out. The morning breakfast is ok. Choice of 3 restaurants. If you are expecting world class dining, then go someplace else. Close to Morro Bay. We will be back.

Baywood Inn, worth every penny!

4.0 on July 02, 2012

We often stay at Baywood. In comparison to Monterey Bay Inn Baywood is much better at the same cost. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean with ample towels. Guests receive a voucher for breakfast at any of three nearby restaurants. The restaurants are not worth eating at. The Mexican restaurant has not been open the last two times we have stayed. The new breakfast eatery next door is in the back of an omelet shop that is run by a very rude waitress. The breakfast shop across the street is below average in quality. But... the Inn is a great place to stay. Just plan on eating in San Luis or Morro Bay.

Family get-together place

My sisters live nearby, so my family often gathers at the Baywood Inn. We love the large rooms that let us get together and chat. the Inn is always clean and the staff is great!

Hope to come back soon..

Absolutely beautiful room and suroundings. Next to Morro Bay and a state forest with awesome scenic views. Diane our check in person was fantastic. I can't wait to stay again.

Excellent value, lovely place

4.4 on June 16, 2012

This B&B is comparable in price to local coastal hotel rooms. Every room is large with fireplaces and each has a unique decor theme. Location is quiet and off the beaten path. All rooms face a coastal estuary and sunset views. Only complaint is breakfast is off site at adjacent cafe, but they make up for it with a very generous free "wine tasting". We will be coming back often.

hotel style b&b

3.4 on June 14, 2012

The location is outstanding. It seemed odd to have a B&B that served breakfast from 3 restaurants. The food was not special like you get at a "real" B&B. But, the included items were very nice, Water, Ice Tea, coffee, granola bars and wine at 5PM. There is a micro wave and refrigerator. We thought it was pricey.

Great place to stay

3.8 on June 14, 2012

We love the Baywood location. The views are wonderful and the rooms are quite good! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Appreciated having a choice of Breakfast locations.

A Perfect Home Away from Home

Baywood Inn is always our choice for the Morro Bay/Los Osos/San Luis Obispo area. Each room has it's own charm. This time we were in "Granny's Attic". Perfect!

great place :)

3.4 on June 08, 2012

Baywood Inn is a nice B & B in the TINY little town of Baywood. The staff are VERY warm and welcoming. The afternoon wine with chips and salsa was really nice after hiking all day at nearby Montana de Oro (a MUST DO if you are anywhere near there!) The location is amazing, directly across the street from the water/bay. Views from the room were great. This is definetly the place to stay if you are looking to be "off the beaten path"!!!!! Very quite and peaceful :)

Annual Getaway Trip

5 on June 02, 2012

We loved the view that looked outside our window and the fireplace. The extra drinks and snacks were also a good surprise. The breakfast voucher was especially nice. The restaurant was right across the street and it also had a nice view.

Great getaway.

A very nice surprise in Morro Bay (south end)

3.4 on May 28, 2012

I booked our 1 night stay at the Baywood Inn B&B after sifting through many other hotel descriptions, pricing and locations online. I chose this one as it was a bit off the tourist path and other reviewers mentioned it's quiet location which appealed to me and my partner. Our room, "Cape Cod" suite was promoted by the Baywood as the "most popular" room booked there so I said that sounds good to me. And, it really was. When we walked in it was contemporary, clean, spacious and had a view of the bay. A large living room area with a gas fireplace, TV, couches, armchairs, large soft bed, nicely appointed bathroom with Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. In the lobby, There were fresh cookies and coffee when we signed in and a complimentary afternoon happy hour was waiting for us next door; serving wine and as much as you would like. The Baywood staff was friendly with a smile and could not do enough for us. The in-room refrigerator was stocked with waters and Gatorade, also complimentary, granola bars for the days walking or hike, and other snacks which were included with the price. Did I mention that breakfast is also included each morning and you have your choice of 3 different locations which are all good choices. We chose the Backbay Cafe across the street for their excellent strong coffee "The Fog Lifter" and the yogurt/granola/bananas bowl breakfast. Yum! There are nice walks to enjoy at the Sweet Water Natural Preserve and also the Elfin Forest which offer a peaceful and tranquil appeal. So, for the price and a pretty location, I can't say enough good things about the Baywood Inn B&B. I would recommend that you take a look for yourself. It might just be the perfect getaway for your visit to Morro bay! Ps. On our trip back from Asilomar, a week later, we booked an additional overnight stay before the longer trip home back to San Diego. We stayed in the Kennsington. Although not our style of decor, it was just as comfortable with all the same amenities:)

Peaceful Getaway

4.0 on May 24, 2012

A gem! So quiet and lovely yet close to the other Central Coast POIs. While there's fog on the coast, no problem, go inland a few feet and the sun shines! Cape Cod suite is delightful and after a tour of the other rooms I think there is a decor or layout to suit almost everyone. We enjoyed the breakfast coupons for near by local cafes to try different menus and really help the local economy in the tiny paradise of Baywood. Return? Oh yeah.

Rural inn

4.0 on May 15, 2012

We needed our GPS to find this Inn. The room was very comfortable and reasonable value but the dining arrangements were a serious letdown for us. We had hoped for more choice in the evening and the two breakfast options were close by but only had outdoor seating which was uncomfortable in the cold damp weather.

When checking in the personnel were professional but lacked warmth. When checking out, the instructions noted to give the keys to the office but one one was at the office even though in was posted office hours so left key in the room and was not able to lock the room. Room was nice and the view of the bay and surrounding area was real nice.

Traveling on business. Hotel/motel rooms are very expensive in that area. Very pleased to find this lovely place. And was within my companies lodging stipend. Rooms aregorgeously decorated with different themes. Location was very peaceful and beautiful. breakfast was a tiny cafe across the street. Not good when it's raining. Made up for it with generous free wine tasting. Brought my wife. very romantic. We will definetly look to return when I'm in the area for business.

Try this place - you'll keep coming back!

4.6 on April 15, 2012

Everything at the Baywood Inn was excellent - just how we remembered it the time before; we plan to keep coming back. Tremendous value for such a wonderful place to stay, gorgeous view of the bay and very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the Mexican restaurant next door is never open for breakfast when they say they will be open, but the other two options for breakfast are great.

We keep coming back.

4.4 on April 13, 2012

Stayed here during our honeymoon and have been back two or three times since. Offers an amazing view of shallow end of Morro Bay (Great place for Birdwatchers to watch ducks, grebes, etc...). Rooms are decorated very well and always very clean. Don't get the impression of overdoing the quaintness that I feel at some other places with themed rooms. They provide a better assortment of complimentary items then I'm use to. I feel the price is really good given the area where you can spend the same amount for a chain hotel. Complimentary breakfast is available at three restaurants immediately adjacent to the property. We only tried one of the options this last time and while the food was good the service was slow.

Hidden Gem in Baywood Park

Baywood Inn B&B

4.0 on March 09, 2012

From it's description, I thought this Inn would be on the beach, but it was not. It was off season and we received a coupon to have breakfast at a restaurant closeby, a disappointing experience. The room was very attractive- I would give it 3 stars for cleanliness. Service was good. I would not stay there again.

Best Value of Our Trip

4.8 on March 08, 2012

We really appreciated having two rooms and the complimentary water, soda, and iced tea. We loved the small town feel which was most noticable during our meals with the locals. The location is great! It's right off the highway and close enough to many attractions in the area. During our 8 night vacation from San Francisco to San Diego, this was by far the best value! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to get out there again someday. Syracuse, NY

Great Room, Good Staff, So-So Breakfast

3.2 on March 07, 2012

This is the second time we've had trouble getting breakfast at the mexican restaurant next door (La Palapa). There are other options, but if La Palapa isn't going to open when they say they will, they should be removed as an option. La Palapa was supposed to open at 8:30, when we checked for the third time at 9:15 and they still were'n't open, we went to the Good Tides Coffee house. Good Tides was good but it's not a "sit-down" place. We wanted to have breakfast then start our day of sightseeing, but this waiting around through-off our day.

Great place to stay!

Baywood stay

4.6 on February 29, 2012

An Overnight get away while visiting SLO

4.2 on February 29, 2012

The room was nicely arranged and the complimentary drinks and snacks were great! However, we did have an uninvited guest (mouse) that shared the room with us. We were alittle disappointed that the option for the Mexican breakfast was not available; they were not open. The Baywood Cafe (outdoor seating) was delightful since the sun was shining. The food was fresh, but alittle skimpy. I had to pay for more fruit.

Quiet, Roomy, Updated & Affordable Retreat

4.8 on February 15, 2012

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Baywood Inn B&B. Our accommodations were spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and fairly new --- not your typical B&B at all. The rooms were also very reasonably priced. Breakfast vouchers were given for breakfast next door or across the street at a local restaurant. The food was very good and there was a nice local neighborhood feel to the restaurants. We tried both and they were very good and even in January they were both set up for dining outdoors -- what a treat! There was also a laundromat conveniently located just down the street as well as several other local restaurants. The Thai restaurant was great! The area itself is very quiet but there are many things to do within a short drive. This was the perfect restful retreat halfway through our weeklong family vacation.

We were celebrating our 39th anniversary. We have stayed at the Baywood several times for our anniversary and we always look forward to returning. a gem in paradise

4.4 on February 03, 2012

The Baywood folks are a truly hospitable bunch. Made us totally welcome and cheerfully upgraded our room when a problem developed with our originial choice. Excellent breakfasts "in the neighborhood", especially at the Back Bay Cafe right across the street with open air views to the bay, birds and flowers along with their yummy food, sunny personalities and the NY Times offered gratis. Close to Morro Bay and wonderful state parks. Excellent birding and other wildlife viewing. Friendly and truly laid back. Great energy for world weary travelers needing a break from it all. Stay here!!!

It's our "must visit" every year!

We are from the bay area and wanted a quiet weekend getaway. We stayed here at the Briar Rose. It was one of the best decors I have experienced. We particularly liked the wood vanity. The views on the second floor though would be a little better than downstairs. We really enjoyed the evening wine.

One of our favorite B & B's

4.0 on January 18, 2012

We have been coming to this lovely place since they opened in the 1990's. It is definitely one of our favorite getaways. We do have a few favorite rooms, but all of the rooms are charming and decorated with a special individual theme. It is very clean and I love how there is always complimentary bottle water and sodas in the refrigerator along with a microwave for pop corn or hot tea or cocoa.

Quiet and peaceful

4.0 on January 09, 2012

The room (La Provence) was absolutely charming. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed is very very comfy and I especailly loved the fireplace, which kept the room cozy. I loved the peace and quiet of Baywood. It's a great little get away with amazing sunsets and very friendly people. Baywood Inn staff was very helpful, although sometimes hard to contact. I will definitely return, as the off season rates are fantastic. Don't expect great cuisine in Baywood, although there are planety of decent restaurants a short drive away. I highly recommend Baywood Inn if you want a peaceful get-away.

Amazing - simply amazing!

Excellent room - but

2.8 on November 15, 2011

The room was the best we stayed in over a 3 week period touring California and Nevada. Bed and room and toilet fittings were of a high standard and everything worked including the fire. We had difficulty finding the inn at night as it is a bit off the beaten track and the sign post wasn't lit-up. The only negative aspects were the service at night was only just ok and we had to chase them up in the morning. Nobody was around at 9 o'clock then a slightly surly young woman arrived about 15 minutes late without apology of any kind and proceeded to key in the credit card wrongly. It might have been an off day but it took the edge off a really nice place with a lot of potential. We would consider staying there again.

We are looking forward to our next stay there, the view is breathtaking!

California Room 10-1-11

3.2 on October 05, 2011

We arrived mid afternoon. Desk receptionist (and host for the cocktail hour) was very pleasant and helpful. Great view from our room on the second floor. Room was light and colorful. Room configuration was good. Bathroom exhaust and heater appear dated and in need of remedial adjustment as does the one downstairs. Vibration from these items are quite notable. Suggest bleach or re-caulking of one section of the shower. Otherwise room was beyond reproach. Cocktail hour at the adjoining Mexican restaurant was somewhat curious. Although the wine was of good quality, chips and salsa as an accompaniment do not seem to match. Maybe me, but beer seems better associated with this food item and that was not offered. Of the three restaurant choices for breakfast, opted for a return to the Mexican restaurant. Quite filling and tasty entrees. Server was very accommodating.

Baywood Inn

3.0 on October 02, 2011

The owners have done a fine job in converting an office building into a pleasant B&B. The rooms are spacious; we enjoyed the relative simplicity of the Santa Fe room. The Baywood provides an excellent 'home base'' for exploring Montana De Oro and other nearby attractions. The breakfasts are provided via arrangement with nearby restaurants. We found the cafe across the street to be a good place to enjoy a simple breakfast outdoors. It is popular with locals, and the service is surprisingly good given the modest staff, the choices, and the throughput of early risers. I'm not certain how well any of the breakfast options would work during unpleasant weather (they are geared to outdoor dining). The wireless internet service was intermittent; the owners are aware of the problem, and I expect it to be addressed.

What a wonderful, relaxing spot to conclude out week-long vacation. Upon check-in, we were escorted to our room! (Before going to our room, I must mention the cookies and candy in the lobby.) We were surprised to find drinks in the frig and popcorn, hot cocoa, tea, and granola bars on the microwave -- all complimentary! They had a computer with internet access available for use on the premises, as well as a bookshelf of dvds we could use in our room for free. We were in the Cape Cod room, which was absolutely wonderful. It was more like a suite, with a separate living room. Baywood Inn is definitely a place I would like to stay at again. I must say, though, that after coming from Big Sur, there's not a whole lot to do right there in the area. Our son had stayed here for a night while on his honeymoon a few months earlier and said the accommodations here were better than their place in Maui! So if you are looking for a place to stay along the way, this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed!

Very tranquil spot. Breakfast was served across the street at the Tides. Best Blackberry scones I have ever eaten; all fresh food and we ate outside by the bay. Definitely would return!

Pleasant getaway

4.4 on August 19, 2011

Baywood Inn is simply the most pleasant place to stay, especially if you enjoy watching the tides fill and empty the bay, being away from the crowds, relaxing in spacious, thematic rooms, and dining on delicious, organic, individually prepared meals. We go back year after year for a restful getaway.

The perfect stay at Baywood Inn

4.0 on August 19, 2011

Baywood was our first stop after leaving Los Angeles to drive to San Francisco along the west coast. The staff is very nice and the check in and check out is easy and fast. Our room, "Briar Rose", was very charming. It was clean and confortable, and although the room was at the ground floor near the parking, the place is quiet and there was no noise. You can choose where to take your breakfast between three different places, we chose the cafe, and it was great. The views are very beautiful.

Los Osos B&B

The room was clean and quiet with an incredible view. The decor was very dated, but I would stay here again because of the location.

Baywood Inn July 2011

4.8 on August 07, 2011

WOW!! This was our final night for our vacation. We arrived late at night. The room was beautiful; and the morning view of the back bay was a welcomed sight. We ate at the cafe across the street- bacon quiche-yum!! and their Pecan baked French toast was fantastic. We have told many about this B&B and would enjoy a return visit sometime.

3.0 on August 07, 2011

Room with king bed was fine. Would have preferred TV in bedroom as the living room area furniture wasn't too comfortable. Office wasn't always staffed. Had to go off site for breakfast which was very good but I would have like both juice and coffee. Nice location across from bay. Only three rooms were occupied so it was very quiet.

Great value

3.6 on August 05, 2011

The room was comfortable and accommodating for two people who sleep separately. Views were beautiful. Best of all was the Good Tides cafe just a few steps away - we had both dinner and breakfast there, and were very pleased with the food, value, and good cheer of the staff there.

Nice stay.

3.2 on July 26, 2011

We were in the Country Cottage last time and the Cape Cod this time. Both very cute and comfortable rooms. With a rollaway bed next to the king bed, our family of three fit comfortably, with the added benefit of having a separate living room for relaxing after our son was in bed. The shower head was a bit weak, but all other amenities were satisfactory. Love the treats and cookies, and enjoyed breakfast at the Good Tides Cafe.

Not a traditional B&B

3.4 on July 25, 2011

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood. The rooms are nicely decorated, but not very private. I felt that the windows needed better covering, like drapes or better shutters. There was room noise from upstairs. The rooms were well appointed with amenities like good-quality body products and a DVD player and free snacks & water. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a meal ticket to nearby cafes, but they are not all open or available every day, and that was a bit confusing. We had good food at the Back Bay Cafe across the street, but had to sit outside, dress warm. There is a bar nearby and a liquor-market and good pizza place to take pizza to your room. Thanks Baywood for a nice stay.

We Will Be Back

4.0 on July 18, 2011

Off the beaten path but always dependable. The suites are priced right, well appointed, and spacious. Always stay here when in Central California, hope to be back soon.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing

3.4 on July 11, 2011

The Baywood Inn is close enough to the wine country yet the tempo and pace of life is worlds away. We were able to accomplish both our goals of enjoying time wine tasting in some of our favorite places and relaxing in one of the most beautiful settings. A real gem and great value.

Wonderful stay!

5 on July 09, 2011

We loved our stay!! We stayed in the Cape Cod room at the Baywood Inn. Worth every penny! The bed was comfortable! The room was clean and beautifully decorated! Loved the view of the bay across the street! They gave us vouchers for two different Breakfast cafes close by. The one across the street served delicious breakfast and coffee. They were friendly too! The Baywood Inn had videos we could watch and complimentary snacks in the room. It was our favorite Bed & Breakfast we stayed at during our week long trip together.

A great stay

4.2 on June 30, 2011

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon the Baywood Inn B&B and we really enjoyed it. The staff was really friendly and the accomodations were very comfortable. If I am in the area again, I shall stay here again.

Wish I could have stayed longer

This is a hidden treasure! The views, peace and quite and friendly staff were a pleasure to experience. The Back Bay cafe across the street was a true delight. I had the Banana Foster Bread and came home and found the recipe online. Will definitely be back again.

quick getaway

4.2 on June 28, 2011

We needed to get away. I found Baywood Inn on the internet, but was a little nervous, not having anyone refer it to me. It was excellent!. The room was great and the view was spectacular. Thanks Baywood Inn you made our getaway perfect

Great place, great location

4.6 on June 22, 2011

Had to get a room in Los Osos for a memorial service...not a lot of options in the area, so I expected the worst. The Baywood Inn was a pleasant surpise...nice rooms, close to the water, dining nearby...loved it.

Most friendly, efficient staff ever!

4.6 on June 17, 2011

Beautiful location, peaceful charming Los Osos and convenient to all our wants and needs. But the people made our graduation weekend including our dinner for 15 ( with one very active toddler) at the La Palapa the most enjoyable experience ever. Our large family only gets together for BIG occasions and you all made it perfect. Loved the Tex Mex rooms, clean comfortable and big. Thank you all very very much.

Still a Favorite

4.2 on June 13, 2011

We stayed at Baywood Inn over 10 years ago. During this last stay not much has changed - still a laid back sleepy location and nice rooms with great water views.

Americana Suite

3.2 on June 13, 2011

Convenient location in Baywood. Daily breakfast voucher gave great flexibility to choose from among several eating outlets within a short walk. Decor of room is a bit cheesy (especially the foot stool in the living room) and the TV should really be located there and not in the bedroom. Be careful with the gas fireplace which does not have an automatic ignition. Matches provided are safety matches with the striking surface located in the bottom of the match container -- the written instructions don't mention that. Maid service was good, but office staff is not particularly friendly and there always seems to be various friends or relatives of the person manning the desk hanging out in the lobby so that you feel like you are intruding on a family gathering. When we have stayed at the Inn in years past, this was not the case, so maybe there has been a change of ownership.

A very relaxing place to stay

3.6 on June 13, 2011

This was our second stay at the Baywood Inn. We love the quiet neighborhood and the size of the rooms. Breakfast is actually served at two local cafes rather than at the inn itself. This is different than most bed and breakfasts but works well. The inn is very close to Morro Bay but out of the hustle and bustle. We love it.

4.4 on June 09, 2011

I love the Baywood Inn, so much that I made a reservation for the following week for my trip back up north. I will definitely stay there anytime I am in the area!

Enjoyed our stay

4.2 on May 28, 2011

Maria the Inn's manager was delightful and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay but did spend most of our day away wine tasting. We would definitely choose to stay again.

Nice stay

3.6 on May 23, 2011

We stayed in the Blue Ribbon Room. It was very cute, clean, with satisfactory amenities including refrigerator, microwave, and a romantic gas fireplace. Our only complaint was that the bed was too squeaky! The location was right on the shoreline of the bay.

The Baywood Inn is Awesome!

4.4 on May 19, 2011

We normally stay at the Inn across the street, but since they had a two night minimum, we stayed here instead, and it was a pleasant surprise! The rooms are much bigger than the ones across the street, and very modern, with lots of amenities that the other place doesn't have (Free WiFi, DVD's, Games). We were blown away by our suite with the great view of the bay (Cape Cod room)!

Baywood Inn a hidden treasure.

3.8 on May 13, 2011

We recently stayed in the Avonlea Suite and it was a great stay. The rooms were quiant and inviting and the location was peaceful, calm, and relaxed. Breakfast in the morning is your choice at either two restaurants very close by (walking distance). We went with the Good Tides Coffee House both days because it was amazing and the chef there was very friendly. The food was outstanding. At 5:00p.m. there is a wine hour. For dinner try the Thai food take out restaurant up the road. It's is the best Thai I've ever had. It was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. The Hearst castle is very close for a day trip.

Weekend getaway

4.6 on May 12, 2011

Place was extremely cozy and comfortable. Clean. Warm. Spacious. View from Sante Fe room was amazing. Inn itself was great, but beware it is isolated and if you get in late, dining options are nonexistent. Thankfully the rooms have microwaves and TV dinners can be had from corner store (so long as you get there before they close at 10PM).

Cape Cod Cozy

4.4 on May 10, 2011

Everything about the Baywood Inn was great, we can't wait to return and sample another delightfully themed room. My wife especially loved the two-sided fireplace. A great place to enjoy the laid back atmosphere of Los Osos, and the beauty of the back bay.

A beautiful and friendly bed and breakfast :)

4.6 on May 10, 2011

Baywood Inn

4.8 on May 07, 2011

We stayed in the La Provance room which had a nice bay view and a fireplace, with a French country appeal. Lots of nice extras with the room, like water and snacks, plus a choice of three places to eat for breakfast. We'll be back.

Beautiful Place!

4.6 on April 24, 2011

Stayed there in mid April, 2011. Nice room with a fireplace between the bedroom and living area. Great amount of space for the money. We used to live in Baywood. Few but locals know about this gem in a residential neighborhood that is very old California. Nothing has changed in 20 years. The people are all nice. The bakery across the street is awesome. La Palapa next door has awesome breakfast too.

Great views andservice at Baywood Inn B and B

4.0 on April 20, 2011

Lovely views and great room in this B and B. Breakfast was in cafes across the street or adjacent to the B and B - a little unusual system, but the food was excellent. Quiet sleepy town location made for an excellent vacation spot to unwind!

Staff was wonderful

4.8 on April 20, 2011

I believe it was Maria, She was awesome. We felt so welcome the minute we showed up to check in. The rooms were very nice. They had complimentary waters and juices in the fridge. Complementary wine from 5 to 7 at the mexican restaurant next door. The free breakfast at the mexican restaurant next door was amazing. I had the vegetable omlet and fried potatoes. It was the best I ever had. The staff there was truly the best. Looking for our next trip to Baywood INN. We stayed in the Tex Mex room.

Loved My Stay at the Baywood

4.4 on April 13, 2011

I only stayed for one night, but it was exactly the stay I needed to unwind and de-stress. The room was great and the location is outstanding.

Lovely little "secret" on the central coast.

5 on April 13, 2011

We stayed at the Baywood Inn for 2 nights. The room was immaculate, charming and quiet. The view of the Bay was stunning! The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. We had breakfast both mornings from the Good Tides Cafe and were very pleased. They even made special Gluten Free sweets for us! We will certainly recommend the Baywood, and we will return!

I Would At Baywood

4.8 on April 07, 2011

I'd heard of Baywood from a friend for years....thought it was a run-down place on the embarcadero of Morro Bay. NOT! This is a beautiful property; calm location away from the tourist crowds of Morro Bay proper. After factoring in the breakfast vouchers with a choice of three restaurants within walking distance, a stay at Baywood becomes even more value packed.

Turn out the Lights!!

4.4 on April 07, 2011

My bed was not as comfortable as I thought it should have been. Also, the rooms are too bright at night. Wish there could be a way to turn off the lights!!! Other than that the rooms are lovely and the keepers are very friendly.

Perfect Get-A-Way!

5 on April 06, 2011

If you're looking for a relaxing get-a-way, the Baywood Inn is the perfect place! The rooms are very clean; the beds are comfortable; the staff is superior and the sunrises and sunsets are to die for! Baywood is a relaxed community that appears to value quality of life over quantity in life!

Location and rooms are PERFECT!

4.6 on April 06, 2011

L-O-V-E-D the location of this B & B, right on the bay in the sleepy town of Los Osos. We had an option of 3 cafe's to choose from for breakfast (Good Tides being the best). Thank you for making our Anniversary a perfect one.

A lovely, comfortable room

3.8 on March 07, 2011

The Cape Cod room at the Baywood Inn is thoroughly charming. It takes a bit of work to get the gas fireplace to light, but the room is comfortable and roomy. I did use the public computer in the upstairs mezzanine which I must say needs to be updated, but it is a valuable amenity for me. A pleasant stay!

Baywood inn

3.4 on March 04, 2011

We stay at the Baywood Inn when our son (who lives in town) has an event. It is convenient, clean, and the front desk personnel are always cheerful and friendly. If the restaurant selection was a little more varied for dinner, it would be ideal!

5 on February 21, 2011

Our room was perfect - very neat and clean, great size and the perfect location to explore the central CA coast.

Great Value, Quiet and Lovely!

5 on February 18, 2011

This is the second time we've stayed at the Baywood Inn in 4 months. It's very quiet and private. I priced places along the Morro Bay coastal area, and found that many of those were much more expensive, looked a bit outdated, and didn't offer nearly the value. Would not stay anywhere else now that we know about it.

4.0 on February 16, 2011

My husband and i have stayed here twice in two years. It's location is great ; quiet, roomy and what a view. The bay is right across the small street. You can sit and watch the water come in and out with great coffee from the little shop across the street(150 feet away). Such a quaint little area i'm kind of sad to share, wouldn't want it to change. Great Mexican breakfast right next store- real beans and homemade tortillas. The inn is a little well loved but comfortable and affordable. Just walk and enjoy the fog and peace of this small little town.

4.8 on February 16, 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Cape Cod suite. The room was awesome and had a beautiful view. The fireplace was amazing to come home to and to watch a movie in front of. The service was great, and they had a decent dvd collection. We had breakfast at La Palapa and it was delicious. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!

Great Getaway

4.2 on February 15, 2011

We really enjoyed our stay in the La Provence room...the photos didn't do it justice. Only complaint was the room didn't cool down until morning because of the west facing windows (we left the windows open all night). However, I'd stay there again. La Palapa restaurant was closed on Sunday...only the one table pizza place across the street was open, but we enjoyed it since we didn't feel like driving into Morro Bay. The complimentary breakfast at the Tides Coffee House was excellent and we enjoyed sitting outside in the perfect weather. All the rooms with the blinds open looked great...definitely a step above the chain hotels we saw in Morro Bay.

Great place to stay

4.6 on February 15, 2011

The room was clean and well furnished. The view of the bay is great and the in room fireplace as well as the complimentry in-room snacks and water were perfect. I will be staying there again!

A good value

4.0 on February 12, 2011

A great place tostay if tasing at the coastal wine country. Rooms beautiful and well-appointed with nice views. Breakfast vouchers were to ok places but a nice breakfast on site would have been much better.

Great Experience

4.4 on February 02, 2011

I would recommend the Baywood Inn to anyone. We had a great time! Our room was La Provence and it was charming and comfortable. I loved how the thermostat controlled the fireplace. Our friends were in Cape Cod and it, too, was charming and comfortable. Both rooms had great views. We were unable to use our dining tickets. One restaurant did not open as advertised at 8:00 or even at 8:30. It didn't open until 9:00 which was way too late for us. The other restaurant was outdoor seating only and it was way too cold and/or rainy to partake of that venue. We still had good breakfasts but had to pay for them so that needs to be addressed by Baywood. They should be aware if the restaurants they're contracting with change the "rules". Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Baywood Inn, a wonderful...wonderful BB

4.8 on February 01, 2011

I selected Baywood Inn because of its proximity to my family's house. I went there for a funeral, and mentioned that in passing to the manager, Maria. She made a point to give this information to the rest of the staff and they all worked to make my stay as "seamingless" as possible. The rest of my family checked into other hotels, and regreted it the moment I told them how well and personable Baywood Inn staff were treating me. Coming from Vegas, the rate that I got was reasonable, and the breakfast vouchers were very useful. Thank you Maria and Marjorie for your was very much needed in a time that was difficult for me. I greatly appreciate your kindness. I hope to see you soon with my husband for a more pleasant occassion.

Wonderful Experience; Amazing view

4.4 on January 27, 2011

Rooms were perfect for our little venture to the centre of California and the service was great. A warm fireplace with a cup of cocoa really sealed an already cozy hotel experience which was topped off further with a great breakfast next door. Thank you Baywood and you'll be sure to see us again!

Wonderful views

3.8 on January 26, 2011

If your looking for a hidden gem for either a romantic getaway or just a quieter place to stay this is the place for you. The room are nicely appointed and I love that each room has it's own fireplace. The staff is attentive and friendly. The room had a wonderful view of the bay. Located between Los Osos and Morro Bay makes it easy to navigate between both areas for either business or leisure.

Ok stay

3.4 on January 22, 2011

The lodging was ok, the view was fantastic and although the folks at the Mexican restaurant were late our first morning, the food was excellent. This place has authentic mexican food.

Great value on the California Coast

4.6 on January 04, 2011

This was a lovely little place; pictures on the website didn't do the rooms justice, the rooms were much nicer in person. The room we stayed in was small but comfortable, with a fireplace and a great view of the bay. There was a coffeemaker, refrigerator, and microwave in our room, plus tea and some snacks and drinks as refreshments. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with our requests for wine glasses, recommendations, etc. Upstairs in the mezzanine Breakfast was not in the inn, but you could choose breakfast at the restaurant La Palapa next door or the little coffee house behind the Sculptured Egg (can't remember the name... sorry!) At La Palapa I had the chilaquiles, which I enjoyed very much. The coffee house had great coffee and pastries. For what we paid for our lodgings, I was very pleased.

Our 10th Anniversary

3.6 on December 31, 2010

The Inn was right across from the water, and we stayed in the Cape Cod Room, which had a little living room with a see thru fireplace. It was very roomy, the bathroom was a nice size and the bedroom was nice also. We stayed the day after Christmas for 2 days which gave us plenty of time to explore the town and walk Montana De Oro, along with the Pigmy Forest and the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve. Also you can see the "Rock" at Morro Bay which is only perhaps 15 minutes away if you want to go there and shop, or eat. If you want a quiet retreat that is clean, roomy and the price was good, this is the place for you. They have a mezzanine area on the second floor, but my husband and I never even went there, we were so excited to just go exploring. The people who live there seemed very nice also.

Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast

5 on November 24, 2010

room was awesome, available dining were great. All employees at bed and breakfast were very friendly as were the employees at the dining establishments. Very nice area of California, if we are ever in that area again - we will definately go back to the Baywood Inn.

We will go again!

3.4 on November 17, 2010

We booked the room on the recommendation of friends, & we were well pleased. The location is wonderful, the atmosphere very pleasant & relaxed. We had a perfect view of the bay without the hustle & bustle of a seaside resort.

3.6 on November 16, 2010

I have been coming back to this Inn for a number of years. It is quiet, comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. The view of the Bay is breathtaking at sunset. The area allows you to relax and recharge your batteries by taking walks along the water, watching the many birds, and resting in a quiet cozy atmosphere. Sunday morning is a wonderful time to "people watch" outside the coffee shop across the road. An endless stream of walkers/joggers and their doggies parade by. I love it here. I go back to work rested, relaxed and feeling wonderful.

A Time Away

4.6 on November 13, 2010

Baywood Inn provides a place for quite reflection, suspended in time against a beautiful foreground of tides that ground small boats in the bay with their daily ebb and flow. Walk to the excellent bakery for "on the house" coffee and scones to enjoy in your snug room or eat on a bench as you watch the tide refill the bay. Walk around. Baywood is a town that doesn't know strangers. Or bring your bicycles for short, happy rides to explore San Luis Obispo or Morro Rock (both under 12 miles round trip). But don't let going places take away your "time-out." By the time we left our weekend retreat, our spirits bobbed like the refloated sailboats in the bay. We all need downtime. Baywood Inn gave us a warm, affordable venue for it.

Beautiful View

4.4 on November 11, 2010

The service was friendly and we felt right at home. All the rooms are decorated differently to suit anyone's taste. The view of the bay was outstanding. The breakfast across the street was delicious. My only complaint was the room stunk in the Santa Fe room. Other than that, it was an outstanding place to relax. We will go there again....

Location was fun, great for walks. Enjoyed the wine and appetizer hour. Thai place nearby was great.

beautiful, relaxing getaway

3.6 on October 27, 2010

The breakfast options involve 2 nearby restaurants, a Mexican restaurant next door and a coffee bar across the street. The food at both places was good, not great. The person serving the food at the coffee bar was not friendly or particularly helpful, so on our second morning we ate a very nice meal at the Mexican place, where the server was very courteous. We'll definitely go back to the Baywood Inn when we want a quiet spot in a beautiful setting.

What a wonderful inn.

I could not believe it was right accross the street from the water. The Mexican resturant right next door had the best breakfast ever. We loved it all.

Our latest stay.

5 on October 20, 2010

We stayed in the Quimper this time and loved the room. The only problem was a maintenance issue which you should probably look into. The vent fan in the bathroom did not work which could probably lead to a mold problem in the future. Other than that, we loved the room. It was very comfortable and we loved the theme. We have stayed in your facility at least a dozen times now and have always enjoyed our stay. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you again for another great time in your bed and breakfast inn. Excellent location. The Mexican restaurant next door was great. The food was great, the service was great and the decor was great. The tiny coffee place across the street was also great. Food and service were great. The staff at the Baywood Inn went out of their way to please us. My husband forgot something in the room after we had left town, and the staff mailed it to us. That's above and beyond great service and we appreciated it.

We went to Los Osos to celebrate a brithday. We couldn't have picked a better location with the Baywood Inn. Highly recommended!!

OK place to stay

2.6 on October 01, 2010

On the outside this is a modern building, on the inside it is dressed up as a Victorian inn. That was odd to us, but some people may like it. The rooms are clean but worn. The exterior lighting makes the rooms bright all night. It is quiet and they have a nice arrangement with a coffee house across the street for breakfast. Not the normal cozy B&B atmosphere but beachy.

Have A Pleasant Stay :)

It's a nice and quiet place. The rooms are decorated with a lot of personal touch. Our room (Manhattan) was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our breakfast in a small cafe across the street. Also we liked free wine and the rooms tour .

Best deal in CA

4.6 on August 22, 2010

What a charming B&B. The room was very clean and well appointed although the queen bed seemed like only a double and the TV was tiny. The mini fridge was stocked with soda, Arizona tea, and water. The bar had popcorn, granola bars, hot chocolate, tea and coffee. The wine tasting next door featured a winery from Lodi, CA and breakfast the next morning was at the Good Tides Bakery. The fresh ground coffee and croisants were yummo as well as the vegie scramble. All of the above was complimentary with our room. We could even see the bay out our front door while we sat in front of the fireplace. The short walk around the bay to the Sweet Springs Bird Sanctuary was a pleasant excursion. The little town of Baywood has seen better days. We were a little concerned about safety but after walking around we met so many of the friendly locals our fears were eased. If you go, pick up a copy of the Bay News from the lobby and read the Morro Bay Police and Sheriff's Logs. We laughed thru the whole page. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to get the Harley's out again and head north to the Baywood Inn.

a quite night and very relaxing morning

4.8 on August 21, 2010

The room was just great, the food at the restaurant across the streeth was delicious, and the morning after we had a very nice walk along the bay. It was so quite that the only thing we could hear was the sounds of the shore. I really hope I can come back!

Great value! Comfortable room

3.4 on August 18, 2010

My son and I stayed at the Baywood for 5 nights, and were quite comfortable. Our room had a bedroom separate from the living area which worked well for us. Used the vouchers from the hotel towards breakfast across the street each day...very good. The beach across the street was a little disappointing as far as not being able to really walk anywhere, but view was pretty. I'd recommend heading to Avila Beach or Pismo to enjoy the sand and surf. All in all, very enjoyable stay at the Baywood Inn.

Beautiful Location - But

I have stayed at this B & B three times. Each time was wonderful. This last time though, the stay was less than expected. Although it was in the middle of the week, it looks like they are not paying attention to details. Had to go next door for wine that never was served. Breakfast was across the street - not a real restaurant. Back grounds of facility need attention. It looks like it hasn't been paid attention to as in the past. The room was great, clean and cozy. The location is out of this world!! Still would recommend it. Better than in town (Morro Bay) more privacy and theme rooms are great
