Cobble House Bed & Breakfast is a one-level home on a forested acreage with a creek along one side, in the wine region of Vancouver Island, mid-way between Victoria and Nanaimo. Enjoy the birds at their feeders, or catch a glimpse of other wildlife, such as deer. We offer the peace and quiet of the countryside, but are centrally located to explore southern Vancouver Island. Our three very spacious guestrooms, the Hummingbird (with queen bed and Jacuzzi), the Heron (queen bed and double futon and shower, so accommodates up to 4), and the Jay (2 twin or a king size antique bed and shower) are decorated with antiques and comfortable furniture. All rooms have a private bathroom and sitting area and come equipped with a small fridge and coffee & tea making facilities. Guests are welcome to relax by the Russian fireplace in winter in the Great Room, or on our flower-filled deck in the summertime.

Most wonderful B&B in the Cowichan Valley

5 on September 14, 2017

What a most beautiful home in the woods. All rooms elegant. Hosts Ingrid & Simon are very nice people, helpful, accomodating. And the breakfasts -- to die for! A great location to explore Vancouver island, and just relax. Would definitely stay here again - we would have liked to stay longer.

Innkeeper Response

Had a wonderful experience at the Cobble House B&B. Couldn't have asked for a nicer host.

Wonderful Place with Forest visitors to enjoy around the property

5 on June 28, 2017

Ingrid and Simon are wonderful hosts. We stayed almost 3 weeks and only 3 times was breakfast repeated; the presentations with the little flower blossoms was always there and one was tempted to photograph every one of her creations. Sitting outside on the porch with all the bird coming to the various feeders was a treat. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable even if there are 4 to a group. Lots of places to go to and places to eat in the vicinity including at a variety of wineries. We highly recommend this B&B The B/B duo

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your impressions of your stay at Cobble House. So glad you enjoyed it! We so enjoyed your lengthy stay, it was strange when you did not come for breakfast the morning after you had left! We look forward to seeing you when you return to the area.

Wonderful food and very quiet. Very clean room.

Cobble House great hospitality

5 on July 14, 2016

Cobble House is a delightful B&B. It is in a quiet secluded neighbourhood but within easy access to restaurants, attractions and Mill Bay. Presentation of the property is immaculate and Ingrid went out of her way to be helpful - even providing ferry tickets to save us time and additional cost and complimentary cider tasting tickets. Her breakfast was of a high standard. We can thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay with us. I'm so glad I was able to assist with the tasting and ferry tickets which we have on hand for exactly your needs! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Victoria as well!

B&B at its best.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy a natural setting while being pampered by our hosts. Our room was so large we could have moved in half of our possessions! Breakfast was delicious and so prettily presented. The location meant we could lunch at Merridale Cidery and have dinner at Unsworth Winery, both star locations to visit.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review of your stay at Cobble House. We're so glad you enjoyed your time with us and your visit to the region!

Outstanding B&B

4.6 on October 09, 2015

Cobble House Bed and Breakfast has to be the best B&B we have ever booked into. The setting is sublime, our room, The Hummingbird, looked over the rear of the property and was alive with wildlife, the room was immaculate, comfortable and spacious as were all the gust areas. Breakfast was an experience not to be missed, each day was different and inventive (we were there for a week), I thought about staying there for ever! Our host, Ingrid, was attentive to any dietary ends and a mine of information with regards local attractions and details of the surrounding areas, which was invaluable, as we were looking for an area to relocate to. Needless to say we will be returning to sample Ingrid's breakfasts again in the near future. PS Check out her collection of napkin rings, a new one each day!

Tranquil and enjoyable stay at Cobble House

5 on September 07, 2015

It was my second visit to the Cobble House, and I again found what I was looking for - clean, welcoming, and peaceful property and a great host, Ingrid, who makes you feel like at home. It is a gem of a location and yet you are close to anything you may want to do to enjoy your day on the island. Ingrid was very helpful and available to answer any question we had and made our stay very pleasant. I hope to return soon.

About the innkeepers

Your hosts designed and built their home with B&B in mind. In July 2018 they will have been operating Cobble House B&B for 25 years. They are collectors of antiques, gargoyles by a local artist, and all sorts of things. Simon rows and has been making some extended cycling trips in Europe, and Ingrid is a curler in the off-season, and also works for BC Innkeepers, the provincial B&B association in BC. Simon is a former Executive Chef so food and wine are definitely of interest too!
