We arrived late due to getting married that day. I was left with clear instructions on how to get to the area, where things were etc. The room was amazing. We loved the hot tub right outside our room and the quiet environment. We will definitely be staying again.
We stayed for 3 nights in the smallest studio style room on the ground floor. Fine for 2 people. Private entrance with kitchen area, micro and frig with coffee and coffee maker and a nice bottle of fresh cold water in the refrig. Beautiful rock shower that is small but fine for us as we are both smaller people. The room was exceptionally clean and the host Marylee was available when needed. There is no breakfast served...you are on your own. 36th Street Bistro is close by where you can get coffee, pastries and breakfast/lunch/dinner. Location is easy access to No. Boise and downtown. Great, quiet, peaceful place!
Stayed in Joan's Sweet which is the smallest things of the 3 rooms at this lovely home. There is no breakfast but each room has a small frig, micro and coffee maker with coffee.Room has a beautiful but small rock shower. Impeccably clean, nice linens and towels. Quiet and peaceful setting.
The Bella Vista was extremely comfortable, accommodating, and felt like home. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was very good each day. I'd highly recommend them for travelers that want to feel like they have never left home in a new town.
We enjoyed our one night stay so much we booked a long weekend in November. We stayed here passing through boise on a road trip from Canada . It was lovely. Bed was so comfortable like sleeping on a cloud and the fireplace was a perfect place to relax in front of with a glas of wine after a long day. There is no onsite dining but I could not post the review with out adding it
What a discovery! We recently spent three nights at this beautiful retreat. The hosts, Robert and Belva, were as kind and generous as we've ever met:) The quiet rooms, the wonderful breakfasts (such abundance!), the sunrises over the mountains, all made the difficult time we had to spend in Idaho much easier to bear. We loved our breakfasts on the lovely patio overlooking the valley and long to return to this place of beauty and rest. Merci, R&B:)
This is the first time we stayed here but certainly not the last. The owners go far beyond what is required. Even though they had plans the morning we left, they still stopped and took the time to play a game with my young daughter when she asked. You don't leave there feeling like you stayed at a bed and breakfast, you leave feeling like you just stayed with family.
The home is impressive, and has a view over treetops and Boise to the foothills. The room was comfortable, private (we utilized the exclusivity option), and the kitchenette was well stocked. The owners also left a bottle of Merlot for our wedding night. Breakfast was ample and very tasty--we had some left over for later. The owners were friendly, and offered welcome and interesting conversation. A very pleasant stay.
My wife and I were looking for something different. We were in town for a concert and didn't want a run of the mill hotel. We came across Boise Hillside Suites while doing a Google search. After doing a little research we decided to make a reservation. This place is amazing! It is far enough from downtown where it is quiet but close enough to where we could go anywhere within 15 or so minutes. We stayed in "John's Study" and there is a separate living room area that includes a fireplace, Keurig, refrigerator, couch and a table to eat/work at. The bedroom has a queen size bed that is very comfortable. The toilet and sink are in a room separated from the shower which is nice. There is a TV in the bedroom that has a streaming service but we hardly used it. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and will look to stay in Marjorie's Library next time (which includes a hot tub). Thank you for a wonderful weekend! Note: There is no breakfast served which is fine with us as we always go out for breakfast when staying somewhere plus they mention it on their site so you know ahead of time.
My husband and I are on a month long road trip and stayed in the Library Suite for three nights. Marylee was watching for us and met us outside to instruct us where to park. She let us in our room and answered all our questions regarding nice places to eat, etc. Over the next couple days, it became apparent that she really loves her property and wants her guests to do the same. The grounds were well maintained with lots of beautiful flowers. It was a rainy few days and the fireplace was the perfect touch to take the chill out of the room. I was impressed that Marylee does not skimp on the little niceties that make a place special. The bedding was wonderful. Turkish cotton towels and robes provided. The shower was our favorite - removable shower head with shampoo and body wash in wall dispenser. Marylee herself brings fresh towels and coffee each day. I wish all the places we stay on our trip could be this nice. Thanks Marylee!!!
This place was just a lovely a quaint as advertised. The room and kitchen were so great and clean and easy to use. Loved having the private porch and the hot tub, made our one night in Boise feel like a mini vacation on its own.
The suites are delightful. The private hot tub quite a luxury and the fireplaces lent a wonderful ambiance. The hosts are extremely helpful. We have stayed there 3 times in the past couple of months and would not hesitate to go back.
This is my third visit to this property and not my last! I enjoy the cozy home atmosphere and Marylee makes it her task to make everyone feel welcome from personally greeting guests upon arrival to fresh flowers in the room. I stayed in Joan's Suite the past two visits and the bed is super comfortable and the linens are yummy! After a busy visit in town with family, I like retreating to my hillside perch and curling up with a book or Netflix! There isn't onsite dining, but I enjoy the Keruig coffee maker and bring something from the co-op in town for breakfast. There IS a microwave and a mini fridge, so you're all set. As a single woman traveling, I love that the owners are onsite and close by for an added sense of security. I also like having to pause on my drive down the hill for the family of quail to pass!
This is my third stay at Boise Hillside Suites. The room is the coziest and their hospitality topnotch. And this visit I had to stop twice while driving down the hill to watch the family of quail cross the road!
Comfortable lodging and setting in Boise. Close driving to restaurants and popular Boise activities. Our favorite place to stay when visiting family in Boise. Note: This inn does not provide breakfast or other dining.
My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and for one more night as a short honeymoon. We had to drive about 25 minutes from our wedding venue to get there and it was WELL WORTH IT! When we walked in, we thought it was cute, quaint, clean and very unique. We kept saying how the room was so unique, we hardly felt like we were still in the same valley on our "stay-cation/honeymoon".
I am very picky about rooms when I have to stay somewhere. This place really impressed me. The owner came out right when we arrived. She was very sweet and made sure if we needed anything to let her know. The room succeeded my expectations by far. Perfectly setup, clean and beautiful views. Far enough away from traffic but close enough to town. We will be staying here a couple times per year. We have never had such a great experience!
Bella Vista has it all -- comfortable, cozy rooms, a full kitchen with complimentary beverages and snacks, beautiful views, and gracious hosts. All for a very low price! Bob and Belva made a delicious breakfast made with local meats and cheeses and even included takeaway bags, knowing we were hitting the road. If we find ourselves in the Boise area again, there's no question where we'll stay.
The stay at Bella Vista was such a welcome respite after a long day of travel! The host and hostess greeted us warmly, and kindly showed us the amenities. The complimentary snacks and beverages were especially appreciated! Both were so welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area, sharing their thoughts on activities and places. I highly recommend this lovely B&B!
