Nothing like the pictures ,way over priced

1.2 on August 22, 2018

The worst place I’ve ever stayed !!!! Cockroaches in the bed , scorpions in the room ticks on the walls .i get it’s partially in the jungle but maybe sealed screens on the windows might help ...oh ya they had none lol Extremely over priced ! Needed remodeling 20 years ago. Paid for two breakfasts couldn’t eat the first one made me want to vomit. I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worst enemy.

Lush Oasis in the Jungle

4.6 on May 05, 2018

A serene, beautiful setting outside of San Ignacio with a simple, rustic feel. Yummy, authentic dinners that were good for us with locals drumming and dancing one night for us. We had 3 wonderful, relaxing days intertwined with adventure excursions of Zunanitech - Mayan Ruins, zip line & cave tubing. The dip in the pool was the cherry on top of our sundae at the end of an exciting day. We were so glad we decided to split our time between the jungle & the beach. We would have missed so much without this hidden oasis in the jungle. The team at the Lodge was exceptionally friendly & accomadating from start to finish. Thank you, Bart & Elmer for making us feel at home. Jan College Station, TX

Well cared for

4.8 on April 13, 2018

Our stay was a highlight of our trip. The food was fresh and delicious, gracefully catering to individual preferences. The staff are top notch and made sure our experience was stellar. The excursions booked through the lodge are highly recommended with excellent guides. I loved our thatch roof cabana and spent hammock time.

Maya Mt stay

3.6 on April 09, 2018

May mountain was just what we were looking for in a jungle experience! Rustic but clean and cared for. The service was fantastic and people were great. Location was good, five minute drive to town but felt remote like it should if your experiencing the jungle.

Beautiful Jungle Retreat

The setting is amazing, the rooms are quaint and simple with modern amenities. Staff are fantastic and they go above and beyond to make the guest experience one to remember. The food is also very good and always fresh.

Enjoyed our stay at mayan mountain lodge

4.2 on March 17, 2018

We enjoyed our stay at the mayan mountain lodge at the beginning of march 2018. Here are the pros and cons of the property: - exceptional customer service (the staff always helped us with a smile, the maid took care of our leaky faucet even before i had a chance to tell management) - astoundingly beautiful grounds, felt like we were in the middle of a jungle paradise - a pool for the kids to swim in when it's hot - very good, healthy food at the hotel restaurant (i was able to get gluten free bread and dairy free milk for breakfast at no extra charge) - when we asked the hotel to organize a trip to Xunantunich for us, they provided us with an exceptional guide named Giselle, she was very knowledgeable and took very good care of us - the hotel was very quiet and family friendly Cons: - the bed really creaked at night - the pool was ok for kids to splash around, but it's literally a bit rough around the edges - the fluorescent lighting in the dining room and the hotel rooms were a bit cold Overall, we had a very nice stay here and would definitely recommend it to others. The pros def outweighed the cons.

Amazing family Birthday get away

5 on February 21, 2018

We stayed at the Maya Mountain Lodge at the beginning of Feb and had a wonderful time. Before arriving we recived a email thanking us for booking and asking if we needed help with any planning during our trip. I asked if there was anywhere near by that we could buy a cake as it was my daughters birthday during our stay, instead of giving me ideas they offered to make a cake for us. We arrived on her birthday and after enjoying a great meal (1/2 of our 9 person party had the daily food 3 course meal, everyone loved it) my daughter was so happy when she was sung to by everyone and had a huge Chocolate and peanut better cake. The staff is so friendly and truly went above and beyond to make it a special day. Would recommend anyone to stay. It is close enough to walk to town (we did with 3 kids ) but if you don't want to the cab is only a few dollars

We loved this place

4.6 on February 10, 2018

Maya Mountain Lodge was a perfect place for us. The rooms were fine - we didn't stay in them much as we were off exploring most of the time. The customer service was absolutely fabulous. It was apparent that the staff loved their jobs and the guests, and did their utmost to make sure everyone had a pleasant experience. The food was also incredible - hats off to Chef Noriberto and his crew! The guides hired for us were all very good - great experiences for us on our day trips. It's beautiful here. It was recommended to us by friends, and we have done the same and recommended to others. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
