This B&B is in a great location next to Beacon Hill Park, close to the water, and within easy walking of downtown Victoria. Rooms were clean & quite and the owners are very helpful. They recommended places to visit & eat. The breakfast has done really good options too.

As tourists in a beautiful Victoria that we knew nothing about, the Dashwood family helped us navigate to all the places we wanted to go.Our room was luxurious and we looked out on the sound with it's ocean side promenade that we really did enjoy walking with the natives and their dogs. The park is right across the street a short stroll to downtown with David's directions to a haberdasher. The level of help to find everything like the best pizza or how to get somewhere is five star. Don't go to bed too early or you will miss the incredible magic replenishing cookie jar.M&I loved Dashwood & Victoria. When can we have an incredible breakfast that is so artfully presented again.A level of love and acceptance is present in all of the employees & guests. M & I will surely come back.

David and Michael truly know how to run a good boutique hotel and it's a real shame they can't continue with Dashwood. We were welcomed and felt at home from the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left. The hotel has been kept in keeping with the era in which it was built (we sincerely hope this never changes as the heritage is vitally important) and yet the rooms are classy with all the necessary modernity required. We had the Dorset room with the balcony looking east and made full use of it when we could. Breakfasts were well prepared, freshly cooked and each room was given a specific time to arrive for breakfast - this is an excellent idea as it saves the customers waiting excessive times for their meals and keeps the pressure off the serving staff and kitchen. The guys also booked our whale watching tour ahead of our arrival for us so that we got a guaranteed booking slot. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from downtown if you put a bit of pace on, for a more leisurely stroll I'd give 30 minutes. This gets you right into the harbour area where there is plenty of restaurants. However, just a 10 minute walk down Cook Street is also a hive of activity and shops and restaurants. The airport was a 40 minute drive on a busy Tuesday morning. A great hotel, with great hosts.

We stayed in the Dorset room which had a lovely partial view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca and Port Angeles. Every morning and evening we were entertained with the joggers and dog walkers. There was a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs to sit and enjoy the lovely ocean breezes. The room was large and comfy with a small refrigerator and sink in suite. We enjoyed a sitting area and TV. The innkeepers provided a vast array of brochures and periodicals for dining and entertainment in Victoria. The bathroom was large with separate shower and tub. It had a nice dressing area for the ladies. The sink was small, but functional. Breakfast was adequate, but not abundant. The service was overall excellent and the innkeepers made every attempt to satisfy the guests. We both enjoyed our long weekend at the Dashwood B&B. It was a great spot to explore downtown Victoria, a short 15 minute drive away.

It was great to be right by the water and the Beacon Hill Park. We had a wonderful view of the water from our balcony. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. It was nice to meet David and breakfast was delicious. Our server was Asia who was lovely. We were celebrating our anniversary and we greatly appreciated the small bottle of champagne left for us in the room. Delicious cookies are at reception in the evening.

Dashwood Manor is a lovely old home with a perfect seaside location. David and Michael made us feel so welcome with champagne in the refrigerator to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast was delicious and presented and served beautifully. And the fresh baked cookies were an added bonus. We will return to Victoria and the Dashwood!

From the moment we opened our welcome envelope and stepped inside the front door, we knew we would love ¿¿ Dashwood Manor. But we found that everyday we fell more in love. The inviting suite, the thoughtful welcome note, the beautiful beach view balcony, the wonderful breakfast and stained glass dining room. The service was impeccable, their knowledge of the area and ideas for activities and dining suggestions kept us engaged and feeling so at home...we decided to call the Island our home too.
