About

Centrally locally in Vancouver, we are in a quiet residential neighbourhood, away from the noise of downtown. Yet, we are only minutes of drive away from Kitsilano, downtown and other attractions. Within 3-5 minutes of walk, there are three bus lines that take you downtown, University of British Columbia, Sky Train station and other attractions in 10-20 minutes. By foot, in 15 minutes, you can reach Kitsilano, a neighbourhood known for restaurants, boutique shops and yoga studios. In another 10 minutes, you’ll reach the beaches. We would love to tell you about the beautiful and quiet neighbourhoods that you can explore on your way downtown if you decide to walk. In mid 2016, we moved into the custom-built house, designed with the comfort of the B&B guests, the environment and our family in mind. Each suite has an-suite bathroom with either a tub/shower combination or a walk-in shower. Every bedroom has a King or a Queen size bed. Most suites also have a seat that can be converted to a single bed. Environmentally concerned, we designed with house so that each room has windows on two different walls to take advantage of cross breeze for those who prefer fresh air. We also invested in renewable geothermal energy for the heating, cooling and hot water. Each bedroom has in-floor heating and cooling. All guests have access to a kitchenette which has a microwave, a small fridge and a bar sink. There is an instant hot water dispenser for your coffee/tea anytime.

Great place, quiet and close to everything!

My wife and I had a great stay - a lovely B&B very well located for seeing the sites. Our hosts were warm and efficient. And the breakfasts were tasty! No problems accommodating our gluten-free needs. The rooms are all very nice. We expect to come back soon.

We have stayed at this B&B three times in the last year. It's a quiet and comfortable location (the former and the current one), the rooms are lovely and bright, the food is good and nicely presented, and the hosts are warm, welcoming and helpful. Always nice to hear Jenny the innkeeper playing the piano, adds to the charm of this B&B. It really does feel like a second home. We are already looking forward to another stay for a winter holiday.

Rooms & Rates

The Olden Suite

The Olden Suite faces the front yard and the quiet W. 21st Avenue, a tree-lined residential street. This suite has an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combination. The room is nice and bright with two large windows. There is a King size bed with Temper-Pedic memory foam mattress, a two-people seat that converts to a single bed and a writing desk. There is free wi-fi throughout the B&B. The room has windows on two different walls to take advantage of breezes for those who prefer natural ventilation instead of in-floor-cooling. The windows have black-out blinds that can be opened/closed from the top or the bottom so you can control the amount and entry of natural light in the room. In addition, the house was designed with environment in mind - we invested in an innovate heating/cooling system so the house is heated and cooled using renewal geothermal energy.

The two windows are on two different walls to take advantage of breezes for those who prefer natural ventilation instead of in-floor-cooling. The windows are quipped with black-out blinds that can be controlled from the top and the bottom which allows you to control the amount and entry of natural light in the room. In addition, the house was designed with environment in mind - we invested in an innovate heating/cooling system so the house is heated and cooled using renewal geothermal energy.

Balcony Suite

TThe smallest in the B&B, the smaller bedroom area is more than compensated by the balcony which offers a view of a typical Vancouver neighbourhood and the north shore mountains. The suite has an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The bedroom has a queen size bed and an antique writing desk. There is also a cable t.v. in the room and wi-fi throughout the B&B. The two windows are on two different walls to take advantage of breezes for those who prefer natural ventilation instead of in-floor-cooling. The windows are quipped with black-out blinds that can be controlled from the top and the bottom which allows you to control the amount and entry of natural light in the room. You have the view of a typical Vancouver neighbourhood and the north shore mountains when the sky is clear. In addition, the house was designed with environment in mind - we invested in an innovate heating/cooling system so the house is heated and cooled using renewal geothermal energy.

About the innkeepers

Like most guests who stay in our B&B, I love to travel. As I have to work (sigh...) to make a living, I decided to invite the world (limited to only nice people though!!) to visit instead . We hope everyone who stays will have a wonderful trip and that we have contributed to it.
