Return to Beacon Inn

My second visit to the Beacon Inn was as pleasant and relaxing as the first. It rained quite a bit while I was visiting but I had a warm, inviting room and hot tea each day upon my return. The fireplace in my room cheered me as well. Breakfast was delicious as always.

Great place to stay

First class visit to the past - heritage building and furnishing - great service and impressive breakfast. Highly reccomended if you do not mind staying outside of the busy Victoria city centre.

Comfortable stay in Sidney

4.8 on October 31, 2016

Before flying back home, we wanted to be near the airport so that it would be an easy drive before the flight, unlike the year before when we got lost returning from Sooke. Therefore a good night's sleep was most important to us and we got that wonderful night's sleep both nights in the Salt Spring Island Suite. The mattress gave support and its pillow top allowed us to sink into a comfort. Two kinds of head pillows were available for sleeping and we each found one to suit us. The room was dark for a good night's sleep, although we had to put a towel over the green display on the portable heating unit in the corner. The gas fireplace was lovely and there were two sitting areas as well as an upholstered bench at the foot of the bed to be able to sit in front of the flat screen TV. A small fridge held our beer and milk, while a microwave allowed us to make a cheese sandwich with leftover bread from our vacation rental stay. The availability of coffee, tea, silverware, cups, glasses and dinner ware made for a sweet set up. And the welcome sherry along with the truffle and baked goods downstairs from afternoon on into night was a treat. The shower was adequate and we did not use the big separate bath tub.The breakfasts were fresh made and delicious, but hubby would have liked toast and marmalade, as it is his holiday weakness, not getting any at home because of the calories. I would come back again. Maria's Greek restaurant a few blocks down completed our culinary delight. We would definitely return.

Beautiful and cosy

Beautiful bed and breakfast. They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Sherry in the evening and chocolate on the pillows. It is as if you are staying in an English manor with all the charm and grace. I will definitely return it was perfect for our romantic weekend

Enjoyable stay

A lovely inn with well appointed rooms and very attentive staff. We enjoyed the extra amenities at the inn including sherry in the lounge in the late afternoon and coffee, tea and treats available during the day. It's a great location: the waterfront walkway, restaurants, shops and even a movie theatre are a short walking distance away.
