Our weekend at the Empress was beyond perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped to make our stay exceptional. Our room was beautiful as was the rest of the house. We loved having "free reign" of the residence for the entire evening. Our breakfast of pumpkin puff pancakes, bacon, and pear sorbet was delicious and served to us by the owner, which to me was an indication that they love to treat their guests during their visits. He was wonderful. We can't wait to go back! -Rutledge

My husband took me to The Empress to celebrate my 30th birthday, & we absolutely loved it. The brilliantly-styled Hemingway Suite, which is in the Carriage House, was comfy, cozy & exactly what we were hoping for! Particularly loved the luxurious linens, the balcony overlooking the beautiful, quaint garden area, & the steam/hydrotherapy spa shower. The main house is stunning. Our compliments to Deborah, who served the most excellent breakfast & treated us like family. Pricey, but worth the experience. We were informed 3 days prior to our original reservation date that our room had been double-booked & would not be available. We were tempted to simply cancel because of the inconvenience, but since we love close by (& we had already paid in full), were able to choose a different date. The staff was very apologetic & took full responsibility for the booking error. Overall, still a great experience!

My husband and I stayed at the Empress for our 18th anniversary and loved it, we did get to see into some of the other rooms (probably weren't supposed to) however each room was equally immaculate to the next, very clean rooms and the linens smelled so fresh, it was like the bed was hugging you. The towels so warm and large. My diet is weird and they didn't hesitate to accommodate me as much as they could, I always had enough breakfast, and let me tell you the others did not leave that table with an empty stomach. Even the ones leaving were treated to an equally delicious meal. Well worth the stay.

I can't believe I've lived 60 miles from here most of my life and never known about this, the first house to have electricity in LR. This is, simply put, the Coolest, most Comfortable and Ornate place we've ever stayed. The staff are great, knowledgeable and attentive! You are stepping back in time, but definitely not comfort. It is just sumptuous! The breakfast was lavish and very tasty. And the atmosphere and elegance...well, with a little bourbon, it'll make you and your spouse pretty frisky for sixty. (Probably a good thing we didn't discover when younger.) Can't go wrong! R&C Hot Springs

The Empress is breathtaking. She is as beautiful on the inside as her outside. I can't image staying anywhere else in Little Rock. The staff made you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. The food at breakfast was delicious with amazing service. It is a one of a kind experience that I would highly recommend to anyone traveling.

By far the most impressive Victorian home I've stayed in. Impeccable decor and great service are two of the reasons I'd recommend staying here. If we return to Little Rock, we would not hesitate staying here again.
