I live in Little Rock, and I've dreamed of staying in the breathtaking Hornibrook house for some time now. This past weekend, we decided to take a staycation and finally experience The Empress. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We were greeted by the wonderful Deborah, who took us around the house and gave us the tour. She was very accomodating an worked to make sure we had a delicious, fully vegan breakfast even though we would have been happy with just some tea! The fig soup was incredible! The house is like a victorian dream. We loved how intimate the whole experience felt. Even though there were other guests, it felt a bit like the house was really ours for the night. We stayed in the Miss Eliza room, which was lovely. It was so comfortable! Part of our interest in the house was the paranormal aspect (although it was just an added bonus!), and that did not disappoint either. We experienced some really cool activity in both the tower card room and the linen closet. So it's a great choice for paranormal adventureres! If you are interested in that part of it, go visit Mr. Hornibrook's grave at Mt. Holly cemetery. We did that before checking in and we were glad we did! We also loved checking out the secret garden and admiring all the antiques and original fixtures of the house. There is a lot of attention to detail. We can't wait to go back — now I want to go back and stay in every room! Thank you so much for an incredible experience!

My wife and I had a perfectly beautiful stay at this marvelous B&B.

Very Victorian B&B inside and out. Decorations, and Furnishings are all very Victorian but the Empress has all the comfort and amenities of a modern home. The breakfasts were excellent, and the location is great: near the airport, the Clinton library, the downtown Market, the Governors Mansion, etc. We stayed in the smallest room, which was very nice. We peeked in the large suite which was amazing.

The Empress was outstanding. The breakfast served as great, and even though we were the only couple there they went didn't cut back any. The rooms are exactly what you'd expect and well maintained. The service was outstanding. It's a little bit far from downtown, but I've never stayed in a place like it and am glad for the experience.

Awesome. Everything was super neat and wife really loved it. Lots of detail, cool furniture, cool architecture, really nice innkeepers, fancy butler service breakfast. Private too, there was only one other couple staying there and we never saw them. On-site parking, neighborhood isn't the best, but felt well insulated. Stayed in majestic suite
