The Little Empress was everything promised and more. We stayed in the Hemingway Suite in the Carriage House. Romantic as pictured with upscale amenities-steam and massage tower shower and oversized jacuzzi tub. Private and tasteful. The main inn was incredible to tour, decorated in tasteful Victorian style. The staff was friendly and warm. We felt like family. Deborah was a totally gracious and darling lady.

Such a beautiful mansion. So much to see in every room and loved learning the history behind it. My daughter and I stayed there and had such a wonderful time. Very clean and welcoming. I would go back in minute !!

The Empress of Little Rock is a wonderful gem! It's like walking back into a bygone era. The property itself is stunning. If you're interested in architecture, it's really worth visiting. We stayed in the Hornibrook suite which is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again

Two middle aged travelers from Australia gradually made their way from Texas, to Little Rock Arkansas before venturing to Illinois and then flying back home to Sydney. They had their itinerary organised well before they departed and had The Empress Of Little Rock on their "absolutely must stay there" list. Even though they knew nothing about The Empress except their internet research. From the moment we walked past the manicured gardens and up the stairs through the front door we felt like we had stepped back in time. Our first impression was "WOW". Our visit was short but it definitely exceeded our expectations. The beautiful antiques and cozy home wares throughout the home made our stay feel warm and inviting. Breakfast was around a large dining table where we had the pleasure of meeting the other guests swapping stories while enjoying a fresh hand cooked meal before our big day ahead exploring the neigborhood. The staff were so friendly (including the grounds keepers) telling us about the history of the house and they went our their way to suggest places of interest for us to explore. If you want a unique experience with the warmth and luxuries of home then make sure you stay at "The Empress Of Little Rock" Tim and Trish (Australia)

My girlfriend Ashli and I stayed here while traveling through Little Rock last week. I was charmed from the moment they answered the phone to book the room. The innkeeper, Deborah, was a very sweet lady who gave us a wonderful tour of the entire enchanting mansion. We have nothing but good memories from our stay at The Empress.

Found the Empress of Little Rock through Bed and Vreakfast .com and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay or a more helpful staff than the one we encountered in Little Rock! Everything we look for when stopping at a bed and breakfast that seperates them from the standard hotel and motel experience. Thank you for topping off our anniversary with such a wonderful stay!

Lovely, idiosyncratic, fun and strange. Hearty lovingly-made southern breakfast. Also comfortable bed, good spaces, fine bathroom, good air conditioning. Six toed cat and attic ghosts. Great location near SOMA.

I live in Little Rock, and I've dreamed of staying in the breathtaking Hornibrook house for some time now. This past weekend, we decided to take a staycation and finally experience The Empress. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We were greeted by the wonderful Deborah, who took us around the house and gave us the tour. She was very accomodating an worked to make sure we had a delicious, fully vegan breakfast even though we would have been happy with just some tea! The fig soup was incredible! The house is like a victorian dream. We loved how intimate the whole experience felt. Even though there were other guests, it felt a bit like the house was really ours for the night. We stayed in the Miss Eliza room, which was lovely. It was so comfortable! Part of our interest in the house was the paranormal aspect (although it was just an added bonus!), and that did not disappoint either. We experienced some really cool activity in both the tower card room and the linen closet. So it's a great choice for paranormal adventureres! If you are interested in that part of it, go visit Mr. Hornibrook's grave at Mt. Holly cemetery. We did that before checking in and we were glad we did! We also loved checking out the secret garden and admiring all the antiques and original fixtures of the house. There is a lot of attention to detail. We can't wait to go back — now I want to go back and stay in every room! Thank you so much for an incredible experience!
