Amazing place to spend your time in Alaska

5 on September 15, 2016

My daughter and I spent a week at the Gallery Lodge in August. The owner of the lodge, Dot, was an incredible host and helped arrange all of our activities which included fishing, rafting, and a glacier cruise. Dot has two dogs, Sadie and Buddy, who greeted us on our return each day and each morning when we got us. The lodge is spectacular as Dot is an artist and had put special touches throughout the rooms. The Gallery Lodge is much more family friendly than most of the lodges we looked at as it is not just all about fishing even though you can fish off the bank of the Kasilof river below the lodge. Overall the location was fantastic and Dot was an a fabulous host making our trip truly special.

We wish we could have stayed longer!!!!

While talking with Dot and Bob we mentioned that we were going to Willow. Dot recommended we stop in Palmer. When researching Palmer we discovered Hatchers Pass which turned out to be a great adventure !!!

Charming place & hosts

We had a wonderful stay at Galery Lodge (Unfortunately we spent only one night due to prior plan). We had 2 spacious rooms for a family of 4 members and also enjoyed a big dining room and balcony. From the moment we arrived Dot & Bob made our stay wonderful and pleasant and did their best to let us feel as if we are at home. This beautiful place is located right on the Kasilof river and the view seen from the lodge together with the quiet makes the staying here pastoreal. We enjoyed the fully equipped fridge that was beyond our expectaions. We highly recommend Galery Lodge and for sure stay there next time. Tali & Doron

Gallery Lodge! What a find!

We stayed in the Riverview House, two couples, each couple had a bedroom. We were right on the Kasilof river and the view was excellent. Fridge and shelves were really well stocked. Exceeded our expectations. We watched from the deck area as fisherman pulled salmon from the river just below us. Definitely a great place to stay. We are planning our next visit.

lucky !st trip to alaska

was very lucky to find such a nice place to stay and relax without previous information or local knowledge....great location w/easy access to the rest of the kenai geography....super clean well maintained , treated like long lost family, would absolutely stay there next visit...especially liked the availability of the wifi system and food for breakfast and "snacks".....Dot and Bob provided service, information and knowledge of the area beyond any expectations...Don't miss this B&B if you plan to stay near Kenai AK.

Very nice, highly recommended to all!

Clean, but awkward set up

2.2 on July 23, 2014

This place is in a beautiful location, but upon arriving, there was no visible office or place to check in. Luckily, there was a friend of the owner sitting outside smoking and she told us where to go. We were shown to our room (potters room 2) and it was a tiny little room in the middle of the home so there were no windows. We felt suffocated crammed into the room. We had a shared bathroom with another room, but we had a sink in the room. No information was given other than that, but the place has a full kitchen upstairs and downstairs, though there is no breakfast served. It is very strange. People upstairs were NOISY. They had kids running all around and playing Wii in the theater room which was evidently right above our room, while the owner drank wine downstairs in the dining area with the kid's parents. We only had a quick over night stay, and it was convenient to Clam Gulch, but it was not a peaceful or comfortable place to just hang out. I would not stay here again.

Great value and location

Dot was a great Host and our stay at the Gallery Lodge was wonderful. We rented the cabin for 8 nights and explored Alaska it was the best vacation ever. While we were there we saw a moose and her two cubs right in the front yard. Thanks Dot hope to see you again soon

Gallery Lodge August 2013

We stayed at the Gallery Lodge during August 2013 and were very impressed with the lodge. The lodge was very clean, the provided a full stocked kitchen with everything you need and modern appliances. Both Dot and Bob were very friendly and helped us with arranging the fishing trips and provided everything we needed. We would strongly recommend the lodge.

Gallery Lodge on Kasilof River--absolutely Beautiful

August 2013--we stayed one night on our way back from Homer. What a beautiful lodge and outstanding scenery. The rooms are very clean and the hospitality felt like you were part of the family. The view of the river from the deck is beyond words. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. Carol and Steve
