The B&B is a contemporary style up and down modified duplex that has been home to the Stimsons for over twenty years. Three bedrooms offer a variety of sleeping configurations for singles, doubles and parties of three or more. Each room has a unique decor, two rooms are named after countries we have visited. Great place to stay. Host was extremely helpful in accommodating our last-minute change of plans and made sure everything was comfortable for us. I talked to Scott several times by phone and email, and he was always so agreeable to help and make our stay a pleasant one. The arrangement with private bath and shared common area (kitchen and living area) suited us fine, and we had complete privacy. Breakfast was wonderful and was served in a pleasant room with sunny windows and fun art and decor for a visual feast as well. The hosts were kind to make us an early morning "to-go" bag breakfast for our early flight - much appreciated. Very close to airport and to town, in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Even had a washer/dryer in the private bath. Loved the posters/pictures on the walls of our place, and all the extra "homey" touches. We were happy to stay at the Walkabout. Thanks!

Our family of 4 stayed here on 25th and 26th July 2015, having arrived from England very late at night on 24th, to sleep at an airport motel. We rang at 9am on 25th to ask if we could leave luggage, and as the room was free, we were able to move in early for our 2 night stay. Scott made us really welcome, fitted us out with 4 bikes to use (free), and we explored the Anchorage area for 2 days before leaving on our tour. Lovely breakfasts, lovely people, comfortable beds, room, and shower, and a great start to our holiday. We recommend them completely.

We stayed here in August 2013. It was centrally located, near everything we needed. Sandy and Scott were very knowledgeable about the area and offered suggestions for sightseeing. Sandy even printed out the history of the tunnel into Whittier for us. The food was excellent. We liked the fact that the hot items were made just as we entered the dining room, so they were always fresh and hot. The breakfast had a large variety, something for everyone's taste. We would definitely stay there again!

We only planned one night in Anchorage. If we had to do it over again, we would plan at least 2 or 3 days mainly because of the WalkAbout B & B wonderful accommodations. Sandy is a delightful hostess. Her daughter-in-law is a wonderful cook--and friendly, too.

This was our first B&B experience. It was wonderful! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was excellent! Everyone was very kind and helpful and had great suggestions as to the local places would should check out. We also took advantage of the bikes available and had a wonderful day riding the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and through downtown Anchorage. We would definitely recommend Walkabout Town B&B to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, great place to stay!
