Outstanding in every way.

We were delightfully impressed with the warm welcome from Sheila, the room upgrade and attention to every detail. The period furnishings were carefully selected and the house was truly beautiful, including carvings by Sheila's late husband. Positioned centrally in a lovely historic part of town.

Innkeeper Response
HASSINGER DANIELS MANSION Thank you for noticing and complimenting Ira's sculptures. He was very talented and is sorely missed by his clients, students, and loved ones. Fortunately, he left a magnificent legacy in his works of art for future generations. Please come again soon. Sheila

We had a wonderful stay at Hassinger Daniels mansion to celebrate my daughter's birthday ! We especially enjoyed staying in the enchanted turret room and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Hope to come back soon!

Southern Charm with a Whimsical Twist

5 on January 27, 2017

I can't say enough about my stay! It was like staying in a museum with unique twists and turns. My favorite part was exploring all the different rooms and unique finds.

Innkeeper Response
COBB LANE BED AND BREAKFAST We're flattered to be compared to a museum since there are lots of valuable things in a museum! Thank you. Yes, exploring the rooms with their doors open as you arrive before the other guests arrive is a fun thing to do. I always tour when visiting other bed and breakfasts and learned new ideas. Then later on, came to own 2. Please come again!

Fantastic Stay

5 on January 24, 2017

This was probably one of the most unique and interesting stays I have ever had. So much better than staying at a regular hotel and you really get amazing personal attention! I would definitely stay here again!!

Innkeeper Response
HASSINGER DANIELS MANSION BED AND BREAKFAST. This guest understood us and our goals. That is really great! We always hope to attract guests who are looking for something different than chain hotels in the décor, ambience, and cuisine. Thank you so much for your comments! Best Regards, Sheila

Enjoyed my stay at unique B&B in heart of the city.

Wonderful place with good service and a fine breakfast. The only problem I had was with the tub -- the knobs seemed to be broken. Still, I enjoyed my stay.

Innkeeper Response
I believe this is from our friendly couple from Australia who stayed last night. We just noticed during cleaning that the knob on the bath-tub was loose and have called the plumber. We apologize for this inconvenience during your stay but glad you enjoyed the rest of your room and the property. The other guests enjoyed talking with you at breakfast. Worldly travelers, like you, are very special. Best Regards for the remainder of your trip in the US. Thank you for coming!

Wonderful

4.8 on January 09, 2017

Sheila (owner) answered my phone call. She was so helpful and kind. Also went above and beyond and emailed my daughter to let her know we had arrived safely. The room was beautiful. Everything was clean. Would definitely stay here again. Only con- police station nearby. Bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper ;)

Innkeeper Response
This loving couple came for a medical appointment in the nearby hospital complex. Their adult daughter was concerned for them and helped with their reservation. They were a pleasure to have stay with us. There is a Police Department across the street. Apparently they heard something that night, though I did not, and was sleeping nearby in our apartment within the Inn. Typically our police don't run sirens from their HQ but respond when out on their beat. Other guests report they hear nothing and often comment they feel safer by being across the street from the Police. Please come again.

New Year's visit

5 on January 04, 2017

We recently stayed in the Peacock room at the Habersham Bed and Breakfast on New Year's Eve. The room was very interesting with the beautiful peacock sitting on his perch. The bed was extremely comfortable. The area was great. Great bars and restaurants within walking distance. We had a wonderful visit!

Innkeeper Response
New Year's Eve is a fun time to visit our Five Points Historic District with its 41 restaurants and evening entertainment venues. Lots to choose from and enjoy. Yes, Peacock Room has an exotic flair to it, for our imaginative guests like you. Thank you for coming! Sheila Chaffin

Great BnB close to UAB

4.6 on December 25, 2016

This is a nice clean friendly B&B near five points Birmingham, quite close to UAB. I have stayed here several times and quite enjoy the splendid decoration in the rooms and the elegant breakfast each morning. It's very easy to walk to several nice restaurants and to stroll around five points. On the whole, it's a great place. If you have time it's also a great place from which to visit the Civil Rights Museum in Birmingham, as well as other Birmingham attractions.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for being our guests several times which makes your praise all the more important. We hope to continue to merit your approval. Please come again soon. Thank you! Sheila Chaffin

Parents night out

4.8 on December 21, 2016

Can't say enough about Sheila! We have stayed at both properties, Cobb lane and Hunsingers, both are so awesome, best way to stay downtown!

Innkeeper Response
COBB LANE BB + HASSINGER DANIELS MANSION BB. What a delightful review, includes reference to both of our Inns, 2 blocks from each other. We really appreciate your patronage and coming to both. Your room fees, like other guests, allows continuing survival of these 2 National Historic Registered Victorian Mansions from 1898. Too bad all of the others in the Historic District went down over the years but thank goodness for guests like you! Pleas come again soon. Thank you! Sheila
