I stayed at Roses and Lace on a Thursday night(called on Wednesday). the house is a victorian and my room was wonderfully decorated, very clean and a super comfortable bed! Breakfast was far above most B&B's. Suzanne and Jim are very hospitable and warm. you feel special!

My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite for our wedding night. The charming room wrapped us in peace and comfort after the wedding-day excitement/chaos. Everything was clean, tasteful, and comfortable. The decorating somehow manages to feel opulent without sacrificing peaceful simplicity. The house itself was gorgeous with an authenticity rarely found in B&Bs. Breakfast was amazing--beautifully served and delicious. It was the perfect retreat for the wedding night, and a great way to begin our first day as husband and wife.

I needed to spend a night in or near Ashville, AL for business earlier this month. I have stayed at many B&B's, including ones in Johannesburg, Vancouver, Arizona and Georgia, and a few of these inns have left much to be desired. A couple of B&B's were downright scary! However, when I arrived at the Roses and Lace B&B, I was very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the house and the wonderful charm, friendliness and professionalism of the proprietor, Suzanne Haley. It was very cold, but the fireplaces were lit. My room was quite comfortable, the house was quiet and safe. Ms. Haley went out of her way to make certain that my stay was exceptional. I can't wait to go back to Ashville again. I highly recommend this inn. Her breakfasts are extraordinary!

What a charming and grand inn! My friend and I stayed at Roses and Lace while visiting nearby sites. When we entered the front door for the first time, an atmosphere of warm, inviting Southern hospitality greeted us. Innkeeper Suzanne Haley made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Beautiful antiques, gorgeous stained glass windows, a claw foot tub with shower and luxurious linens were just a few of the things that awaited us! Our breakfast was exquisite and beautifully presented. Loved the porch! We look forward to going to Ashville again and staying at Roses and Lace. It’s definitely a bed and breakfast for repeat visits!

We stayed in the Garden Room for a weekend business trip and it was wonderful! The room was very spacious and the bathroom was darling. Jim and Suzanne visited while serving breakfast each morning and the food was fabulous! Didn't need to eat again almost all day! The porch invites you to sit with a book and the grounds are beautiful! Took lots of great pix to send back home.

We had a fabulous time at the Rose & Lace B&B. We stayed in the 3rd floor suite -- the suite was peaceful, private and beautifully appointed. We hope to visit the Rose & Lace, and her owners Jim & Suzanne Haley, again very soon!

Suzanne and Jim Haley have created an ambience, a luxuriousness and a taste of history that is fascinating and irresistible. When their beautifully-done Queen Anne bed and breakfast is my home base, I know I'm in the middle of one of the premiere centers for restored antebellum homes and Alabama history. I feel fortunate to have been a return visitor, and can't wait to come back. Delicious food, lovely sophisticated but welcoming decor, and the host's and hostess's great store of knowledge about the points of interest in the area all contribute to a guaranteed great stay. I recommend it highly!

The Roses & Lace Inn is a MUST stay. Jim and Suzanne are exceptional hosts and will insure that your B&B experence is a pleasant one. The Inn is beautifully maintained and decorated with period furnishings. Our breakfast, featuring homemade belgium waffles, was to die for. The presentation was almost as "delicious" as the food. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Tim, Debbie & Kaitlyn

The parlor is cozy, and the piano sounds great. The porch and gardens are inviting and relaxing. Charming and friendly, the hosts will make you feel welcome and comfortable (even when I spilled my OJ on the tablecloth). The accommodations; bedrooms and baths are spotless! Food? Awesome! Can't wait to go back again!

Last weekend my husband and I stayed at Roses & Lace while on business. I was totally taken away by our stay, what was suppose to be a weekend business trip turned into a romantic getaway that we will cherish for years to come. Suzanne Haley and her husband Jim have taken great pains to insure that you feel at home and welcome. From the fresh flowers in our room to the elegant breakfast, every little detail ensures a perfectly restful stay. I came expecting to stay in an "old house" and left having enjoyed a sweet retreat to the past that included feeling pampered and rested. I would highly recommend Roses & Lace and look forward to returning in the future. Sandi & Allen

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Roses & Lace on New Year's Eve. It was everything we love about bed and breakfasts! The house was beautiful, the accommodations were wonderful and the hospitality and the breakfast were superb. Our hostess Suzanne, and her husband Jim knew exactly how to be available and friendly without being overly solicitous or intrusive.

This B&B is full of history. It is filled with wonderful antiques that represent its rich history. Jim & Suzanne are extremely good hosts being there when you need them and not, otherwise. We stayed in the Romeo & Juliette room which was very comfortable. The separate bath was not an issue, especially since we were the only guests at the time. Suzanne's cuisine is excellent. Our favorites included her muffins and yeast waffles. Her baked french toast was the best of all.

Innkeepers Jim and Suzanne Haley provided us true Southern hospitality, as they graciously served us in their elegant, nostalgic home this past weekend. From the homemade decorated cookies to the delicious belgium waffle breakfast, hot coffee waiting on the steps in the morning and a variety of bath products near the clawfeet tubs, our hostess gave much attention to detail. This historic house is decorated with antiques and well stocked with books, DVD's and games that beg you to slow down, relax and to wonder what the walls could tell about life lived considerably slower. You'll be sorry when your visit comes to an end! We were!
