We stayed in the Birch cabin. It was a wonderful cabin in the woods. We loved it. We did not stay for breakfast. I'm sure it would have been great, but my husband is an early bird and wanted to get on the road before they served breakfast. (8am). Talkeetna is a neat town. Beautiful views of Denali.

The chalet is very comfortable and beautifully furnished and we were made most welcome. Also on the plus side the location enjoys (in good weather) fantastic views of denali (in the distance). We did find the place a little hard to find as it is a short distance off the main Talkeetna access road and were a somewhat disappointed with the selection on offer for breakfast given the cost of the accommodation. Would we stay there again? Very probably

We stayed 2 nights at the B&B. We arrived early and was able to check in with no problem. We walked out on the deck to a beautiful view of Denali! Our room was comfortable and clean and our breakfast was wonderful!

This was my first trip to AK. I was VERY pleased with the service, the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of the cabin. I highly recommend the Talkeetna Chalet Bed & Breakfast !
4.8 on August 30, 2016
The place is very clean and they are hospitable and comfortable host. They have done an excellent job of turning their home into a B&B. The rooms are not large, queen beds downstairs, and outside of perhaps the upstairs bedroom, views of Denali are limited the living room/dining area, and small deck where the view was excellent Friday morning. Mini muffins greeted us Thursday evening, and scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon made for a good breakfast Friday a.m. Given prices in Takeetna and up near the National Park are very high, their rate was reasonable (value might be pressed if compared to other places in the USA). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B, and would stay here again if we are in the area. Food is in town three miles away, and there are some great restaurants at substantive prices.

The cabins were adorable, very clean, and everything worked. Definitely glam camping! The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. The breakfast was good and enough to fill up several hungry teenagers. My daughter had forgotten her contact solution and we asked were we could buy some and the owner just gave my daughter hers to use. They even filled up the hot tub just for us so we could use it after zip lining. Would definitely recommend Takeetna Chalet Bed and Breakfast and would go back too.

We were staying in the Talkeetna area and saw the reviews on Trip Advisor for this property. We stayed in The Birch Cabin and just loved it!! It is so clean, beautifully decorated, spacious and very nice and quiet. The breakfast that the host serves up was so amazing!! It was like a five star restaurant and you couldn't ask for more. There was hot coffee, tea and home baked cookies in the main house when we checked in. Every family we met over breakfast was a delight with their own story of where they were going and were all very pleasant and nice people to meet. Andi had information as to things to do, go, and see. Dave made amazing flap jacks one morning along with eggs, bacon, yogurt, coffee, toast. The Homeowners made available options on the breakfast for those with dietary constrains i.e. gluten free alternatives ;)) Wow! So much attention to detail!! You will visit and stay and then long to return. We plan to go back hopefully in two years!!

My husband and I loved the Talkeetna Chalet Bed & Breakfast! Our room and the common rooms were clean and comfy. Dave and Andi were very nice and friendly and cooked a delicious breakfast! There was a lot of literature for us to read about Alaska available. We also really liked all the bird feeders so that we could watch the various birds in Alaska.

Really enjoyed our stay; hospitality was warm and wonderful and willing to help out wherever needed; would gave like to stay longer. Views are also wonderful. Exceeded expectations. A car is helpful to get to town, but they are willing yo pip/u at the train and take you into town if available.

Lovely stay! The service was exceptional! They were so kind and welcoming to is. The room was very clean, and appointed with high quality furnishings. Breakfast was lovely and made fresh! My only note would be for them to keep gluten free bread in the freezer for guests like me :)

Really enjoyed our time here and hard intended to stay longer. If booking from the UK be advised search engines list Talkeetna accommodations as close to Denali NP, in fact you have a three hour drive to get there. Still lots to do around the area and if we had not already booked tickets for trips in Denali NP we would have stayed here rather than in less quality accommodation closer to the NP entrance. Owner very helpful and lays on an excellent breakfast.

Our stay with Andi was marvelous! She cooks a very good breakfast, and the room was decorated perfectly! HIGHLY recommended for anyone to stay at the Chalet.

I spent the weekend at the Talkeetna Chalet B&B while participating in a bike ride from Talkeetna to Trapper Creek and back. I stayed in the Denali room and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the views from the common area on the second floor are outstanding. I would strongly recommend staying here.

A group of us spent the weekend in a cabin for The Trio in Talkeetna Fat Tire World Championship Bike Race. My dog Sachi was also allowed to stay in the cabin for a small fee. The host was great, the food was good, the rooms and the cabin were wonderful! I will most definitely be going there from now on.

Talkeetna is a fun little go-to destination and we were so thrilled with our choice of the Talkeetna Chalet B&B. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Andi Manning, but Dave was a fabulous and friendly host, full of information, helpful and he made a great breakfast, too! Our room was in the house and it was warm and cozy. Our little birthday-anniversary-Valentine's Day getaway was all the better by this choice of a retreat. We will definitely plan to return - and hopefully next time Denali will appear from behind the clouds so that we can challenge Dave Manning to a photo shoot!

We stayed with Andi and Dave this past weekend and while we were weren't sure what to anticipate from our first time at a B&B, we were made to feel right at home from the very start. Dave and Andi are so welcoming - nothing is too much trouble and they were easily the best part of our stay in Talkeetna. Rooms are fantastic and living areas expansive. Breakfast was better than you'd get at a 5 star hotel!! Would definitely recommend and will be back again!

Andi took great care of everything. She helped with a sightseeing flight and a great deal of info. Breakfast was great every day. I would go back again! Thank you :)

This is a beautifully decorated and very comfortable home with all the amenities of a small hotel. Andy, the one of the owners we met, is very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area and would definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

I booked our reservations more than six months ahead of time and boy am I glad that I did! This awesome B&B was booked solid the entire time we were there. I talked to Andi on the phone months before our arrival and she gave me fabulous ideas for our Alaska adventure in the area of Talkeetna. Their place is incredibly beautiful and very clean! On the second floor there are large picture windows so you can view the magestic Denali. She has bird feeders attached to some of her windows so when you eat breakfast, it is fun to watch different birds eat. What sets this B&B apart from other places is that Andi has hot tea and coffee available along with homemade cookies 24/7! After a long fun day of being outside, I could look forward to returnig to a cup of hot tea to warm me. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you will be in Talkeetna. The town is absolutely charming and there are so many things to do!!

The value, the beauty and the owners were all outstanding. Such comfortable accommodations that I actually considered offering to purchase the chalet. I highly recommend visitors to Talkeetna stay at this wonderful chalet. Robert Keith, Central Point, Oregon.

Our 2 night at Talkeetna Chalet were amazing. Impeccable B and B and we have stayed at many. We were made to feel so welcome and I feel like we were treated to a perfect Alaskan get away. I would highly recommend this B n B and can't wait to stay here again.

Stayed here one night on the way to Denali. Clean rooms, good breakfast, and very hospitable. Would stay here again

Needed a bed for single night only close enough to Talkeetna but also Montana Creek. Compact lodgings, but single room totally adequate for just a clean and comfortable bed for a night in B+B style.
5 on September 05, 2015
We stayed here for five nights and LOVED every minute. What sets this place apart besides everything above is that Andi always has homemade cookies and an opportunity for you to make coffee or hot tea whenever you want. The magnificent windows allow you to view Denali while sitting on her incredibly comfortable leather couch. Watching the birds eat during breakfast is also special.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Talkeetna Chalet Bed and Breakfast. From the time we arrived we felt welcomed and at "home away from home". Andi was a very gracious host. We stayed in one of the two cabins and enjoyed it more than any hotel we have eve stayed in. The view of Mount Denali from the main house was an added bonus as well as the close proximity to the town of Talkeetna. We would highly recommend Talkeetna Chalet.
5 on August 26, 2015
Such a cozy, comfortable place! Loved that the rooms had darkening shades; bed was super comfy. Food was delicious! The first morning, we had to be up early for fishing, so we missed breakfast, but they provided us with a "to go bag", that we ate on the way. The full breakfast the next morning, was such a treat! Hope we can come back again!

The house was lovely with a beautiful view. We got a very warm welcome from Andi and the food was delicious. Our room had twin beds and was tiny but fine for the one night we needed it. I think we would have felt a little claustrophobic on a longer stay.
5 on August 12, 2015
It was our first night in Alaska. The rooms were clean, neat and attractive. The owner was very helpful with Talkenta area, directions, and general knowledge of Alaska and area. I really like the general common area at night and morning for viewing Mt McKinley. I would recommend it to anyone going that direction!
4.6 on August 05, 2015
Very comfortable rooms with lots of guest loung space, great breakfast, friendly hosts, just five minutes drive into Talkeetna. Hosts supplied a discount voucher for a very memorable flight to see Mt Mc Kinley up close, with a glacier landing - we were lucky enough to get a break during some poor weather and we're glad we did not miss this experience. Dining score - breakfast was great - there wasn't evening meals on site nor did we expect there to be.

Our room was tiny with no closet. But we had our own (unconnected) huge bathroom. The common area is very large with windows facing Mt. McKinley. Our hostess was very accommodating and breakfast was excellent. Talkeetna is a place not to miss. It is a quaint, bustling town. Best food is at the Wildflower Cafe.
5 on June 04, 2015
Lovely B and B located just outside Talkeetna. One of the best we have ever stayed in. Owner and staff were outstanding. Large rooms well appointed by theme. Hot breakfast served each month. Sorry we only had 3 nights. Close to many activities in the area.

Dad and I stayed in the first cabin and it was the perfect Alaskan trip. The cabin is very modern and clean and nice but yet you have a rustic experience being in a cabin the beautiful woods of Alaska. Our hosts were lovely and we highly recommend this B&B. It was just a couple minute drive down the road (maybe 5 minutes?) to Main Street in Talkeetna. Nearby is the Flying Squirrel for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We also visited the Birch syrup factory nearby. You must check out the view from the Alaskan Lodge hotel! Great spot to sit by a fire and read, too. And of course the Denali Zipline Tour, the Talkeetn Air Taxi tour of McKinley and the Phantom fishing charter. Loved dinner at the Denali Brewing Company and breakfast at the Roadhouse! Loved the Talkeetna Chalet and loved everything we did in Talkeetna. A perfect trip!

The cabin was super cute. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with an amazing view. It was a nice quiet weekend with the family. Would highly recommend staying here, and we hope to come back again.

At first we thought it might be inconvenient staying three miles outside of downtown Talkeetna but the view of Denali, beautiful room and quiet surroundings more than made up for the inconvenience. In fact, I'm sure this is exactly what most folks are looking for from a B&B in Alaska.
5 on April 06, 2015
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Talkeetna! We had a great time and were happy that you told us about the improv show in town. We were also lucky to be upgraded at the last minute to a bigger room. The food was delicious, and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. Thanks again!
5 on March 25, 2015
Dave is an excellent host, he made us feel very welcome! We stayed in birch cabin at the bottom of the hill. The cabin itself isn't the best spot if you are trying to see the northern lights but, as Dave mentioned, we could head up to the house and camp out to see the lights from up there. Birch cabin was incredibly clean, cozy, and well equipped. He turned the heater on the morning we checked in in order to make sure the cabin was warm upon arrival, this was very considerate and effective. Highly recommended for privacy and comfort and less than 10 minutes from main street.

We enjoyed our stay at the Talkeetna Chalet Bed&Breakfast. Andi made fresh and delicious breakfast for us and Dave helped us getting our car out of the snow.

Dave and Andi are such wonderful people and gracious hosts. I stayed two nights with them in a cabin and couldn't have been happier. Their breakfast was spectacular and they even went out of their way to accommodate my Veganism. Their place was easy to find with the provided directions and they were full of local information to share. I didn't want to leave. I will recommend their B&B to anyone and everyone.

Our family has never had a great appreciation for B&B in the past. That all changed after a stay at the Talkeetna Chalet B&B. The owners, Andi and Dave, go to great lengths to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. Great view of Denali from the common areas. Further, this is great location to catch auroras from the comfort of a living room. Amazing spot far enough out of town to enjoy some peace and quiet. We watched auroras from 10:30pm to 4:30am when we were there and it ended only because we couldn't stay up any longer. Highly recommend this place. They even have private cabins that are pet-friendly for a small fee. Top notch experience. We'll definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay at Talkeetna Chalet. Dave and Andi are kind and helpful and we felt right at home. The rooms are adorable and the location is great - only a few miles outside of town.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Talkeetna Chalet. That should tell you something right there. Andi and Dave make you feel right at home, and go out of their way to make sure you have what you need, and suggest things you may enjoy doing while you are in Talkeetna. Breakfasts are huge-yogurt with granola and fruit, eggs, meat protein and some other wonderful warm goodie to complete the plate. Coffee, teas and hot chocolate are always ready when you come in from the chill. You have the run of the main level and your room, so you never feel boxed in. And when you leave, you feel like you are leaving old friends behind-until you visit again!

I stayed here with four girlfriends for the Women's Wilderness weekend and had a lovely experience! We would definitely come back here. The owners were extremely accommodating, especially with our large group and our slowness in getting to breakfast the morning after the festivities. The Birch Cabin was very nice and clean. The main house is beautiful and you will enjoy a delicious breakfast upstairs. I highly recommend.

We enjoyed a full breakfast every morning with a fantastic view of Mt McKinley from the dining room. The breakfasts were different the 2 mornings we were there. She gave us a recommendation for a flight & glacier landing which was great! Even though this is a B&B, we had a TV in our room.

The setting for the B&B is awesome. The house is absolutly beautiful. The breakfasts were a great start to our day. Andi went above and beyond an innkeepers responsibilities when our rental car broke down in town. She helped us find a mechanic, dropped us off for dinner, then came bace to town to pick us up when we were done eating.

Marvellous B&B! Peaceful location. Guest room very nice with a computer, cookies, snacks, tourist informations (Talkeetna's restaurants menus, tourist attractions,...). Room very comfortable, clean, full equiped and elegantly decorated (we had the Denali suite which was great and has a jaccuzi!). Marvellous breakfast with a lot of homemade food (delicious : muffins, bacon, cookies,...). If the weather permits, you can observe the Mount Mc Kinley (there is a telescope!). Kind and very nice hostess. Warm welcome. So, the place to be in Talkeetna !

We were up in Alaska for my husband's R and R and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very friendly and cooked delicous breakfast meals for us while we enjoyed a view of Denali from the dining room. The bedroom was very comfortable and everything from the towels, to the rugs, to the robes felt wonderful. They had a hot tub, which we indulged in, too. As I mentioned, if the mountain is out, you can see Denali from the dining room and the porch on the house. We had the shared bath and it was never an issue. Gorgeous house and property that's very private, but only a few minutes to Talkeetna, a super cute little town. I highly recommend you stay here, it's the best b and b we've ever stayed at!
