“Mini-Moon” B&Bs

There are no rules anymore when it comes to honeymoons.  While it was once commonplace to hop on a plane or cruise ship the day after the wedding for a week-long vacation, many couples don’t have the time or budget for that anymore. So it’s no surprise that there has been a surge in “mini-moons”—short honeymoons that allow couples a quick romantic getaway.  In fact, an April 2011 survey by BedandBreakfast.com found that nearly one in three adults planning to marry in the next 12 months who knew their honeymoon plans said they would take a several-day honeymoon right after the wedding instead of a week or longer honeymoon.

Whether you’re outdoor adventure lovers, wine and fine dining connoisseurs, beach bums, or just in need of some post-wedding R&R at a spa, bed and breakfasts and inns offer a wide variety of “mini-moon” options.
