Cate & Tom, the owners and innkeepers, at the foot of the main staircase in the Tamaracks Country Villa Bed & BreakfastFormerly Franklin Colby’s library, this spacious first floor suite features a round corner fireplace adapted from the Davanzatti Palace in Florence and 12″ timber beams cut from the property. A Queen size bed, private bath with soaking tub, and two person shower pamper you with relaxing comfort in an unusual accommodation with historic flavor and modern comforts.
Our largest suite was the painting studio of Josephine Wood Colby and visiting artists. With soaring tray ceiling, large fireplace, window seats and spacious sitting/work area and deck, this quirky room features a Queen size bed, copper slipper tub in the room, and a separate shower room.Relax in the in-room soaking tub facing the fireplace across the room. Or, step out to the greenery draped deck overlooking the front garden and woods. With a sitting/work space, four poster bed, separate shower room, lofty ceiling with a chandelier, it is just the place for enjoying country charm and the beauty of nature.
With sunset views over the lilac hedge, this Queen size sleigh bed corner suite is also nestled in the maple trees. From the soaking tub in the bathroom, with separate shower, you can watch the flames dance in the sitting/work area fireplace.Overlooking the rose trellises is this “sweet” suite showcasing a wall of the original stone house as a backdrop to the daybed set across from the matching Queen size bed and fireplace. With a private deck and two person shower, it is a serene getaway.
With a private entrance steps from the woodland trails to the lake, this suite is a very special first floor room: white ADA compliant it has a private deck in the garden, Queen size four poster bed, sitting area with corner fireplace, and a shower in the largest bathroom in the inn.Apple and pear trees dot the property surrounding the inn. This corner suite gets early morning sunrises which might tempt you to rise from the king size bed. There is also a fireplace in the sitting/work area, and separate soaking tub and shower.
