A one-day excursion with the public ferry to nearby Isla Taboga is certainly worthwhile
You cannot leave Panama without a visit to an Embera jungle village. The Embera make beautiful baskets. Getting there is half the fun.Of course, visiting the Miraflores locks of the Panama Canal and the exhbition at its visitor's center is a must. Beats the (expensive) transit tours in our opinion.
If time allows, take the train accross the Istmus and visit the Gatun locks, Ft. Lorenzo and its nearby deserted beaches.A 5-minute taxi ride away is the beautiful Casco Viejo. Check out the Interoceanic Museum while you spend the morning strolling the area.
Comfortable & clean air conditioned rooms with cable TV/DVD where you will woken up by the sound of birds, not the trafficEnjoy an excellent breakfast at our garden-surrounded terrace. You will see and hear many birds, even tucans occasionally.
We're located in Balboa, the quiet, safe and green part of town, home of the Panama Canal Administration. The city and other attractions are only a 5- to 10-minute ride away. Albrook airport is also a 5-minute trip by taxi.
