As you watch the sun rise over a nearby mountain ridge, you will be entranced by the sounds of silence at Casitas de Gila Guesthouses ... a gentle morning breeze rustling the pinon pine and the murmur of the creek flowing softly among the rocks a hundred feet below your casita. What an incredible feeling when you realize that it's so quiet here, you can hear each individual flap of a raven's wings as it arcs gracefully overhead. Escape the pressures of every-day life, and spend some time in our Stress-Free Zone. The hot tub perched on the edge of the cliff above Bear Creek makes a wonderful, early-morning ringside blind for watching birds and animals. At night, from the hot tub you can watch the moon glide above Turtle Rock across Bear Creek and listen to the owls softly hooting in the dark recesses of the creekbed below.
Each casita has a full kitchen, stocked with continental breakfast foods, condiments and spices. Our kitchens are as well-equipped as your home kitchen! The night skies over Casitas de Gila Guesthouses are brilliant! You can see the Milky Way in all its glory.
Casita living rooms have kiva fireplaces (seasonal), a library of books on local history and the natural environment, games and puzzles, and a spotting scope for viewing wildlife and the night sky.The sunset turns Turtle Rock a brilliant orange.
