Shrimp Curry

  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 cup Onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Curry powder
  • 3 tablespoons Flour
  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Shrimp


  1. Melt butter in a large pan. Add minced onion, and dry ingredients. Saute.
  2. Remove from heat to add milk and chicken broth, then bring to boil, stirring frequently. Add shrimp and lemon juice. Continue cooking only until shrimp turn pink.
  3. This recipe also works with chicken and beef. Serve with white rice and a variety of condiments. My favorites include: raisins, toasted coconut, chopped tomatos, cucumber, red pepper slices, pineapple, pine nuts.
