  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 5 cups pitted cherries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or 10 individual ramekins.

  4. Sprinkle the topping over the filling. Bake for about 40-45 minutes for a 9x13 inch dish or 30 minutes for ramekins, or until crumble topping is golden brown and the fruit juice is bubbling at the edges.
  5. Note: For a quick version, you can substitute 2 cans of cherry pie filling for the filling ingredients. This recipe works with any fruit pie filling- apple, peach, or raspberry.
