Ocean-front Boreas Inn in Historic Long Beach, Washington was originally build in the 1920's and remodeled into a five-bedroom, five bathroom B&B with a separate 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Private Innkeeper's residence (front image) featuring stunning Pacific Ocean views! This image is the front courtyard entrances to the private residence and the B&B, leading up from Ocean Beach Blvd.
Wide open spaces and westward ocean views, are rare on the Pacific Ocean. The ambiance is similar to that of the east coast making this area's nickname "The Cape Cod of the West". This is the west living room of the Inn, inviting to guests, with a fireplace, baby grand piano and huge windows offering views of the extensive gardens, dunes, ocean in the background, birds and other wild life. There is a private trail to the beach in the middle of the back yard. The Dunes Suite is bright and light with large windows and skylights in the room and bathroom. The bathroom features a whirlpool bathtub. The Dunes opens to a deck in the garden, a close walk to the cedar and glass gazebo containing a hot tub for two. The trail to the beach is a few strides away.
These views to the ocean are truly dreamy. The sunsets spectacular. This view through the garden shows the trail to the beach. The gardens are filled in the summer with places to lounge, hammocks to doze in and the ever-present gentle sound of the ocean. In the winter, the weather can be more dramatic and the Inn can be a port in the storm, or can bask in sunlight. Many windows allow the Inn to be bright even on gray days. This gourmet kitchen is where the magic begins for the memorable breakfasts Boreas is known for. Double ovens, Kitchen Aid cook top, new stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher all make it easy for the innkeeper. The kitchen is open to the dining room so the innkeepers can be in contact with the guests during breakfast. Guests love the contact. This kitchen is a breeze to keep organized and all equipment is included.
