Hotel del Peregrino couldn't be better situated for our guests. We are in the Centro Historico, which is the beautiful colonial part of Merida. We are situated on a quiet street, but still close enough that you can walk to the Mercado, Merida en Domingo in the main Zocalo, and also to Paseo de Montejo. Directions from the ADO bus station: Upon leaving the station, turn left and walk straight ahead to Calle 61. Turn right on Calle 61, and continue walking past the Zocalo. At Calle 56, turn left. Continue to Calle 51. Turn right on Calle 51, and Hotel del Peregrino is the large blue building on your right.

Directions to property:
Directions from the airport: As you exit the airport, turn right onto Avenida Itzaes. Continue north until you reach Calle 59 (at the far end of the Merida Centennial Zoo, which will be on your right hand side). Turn right on Calle 59, and continue to Calle 56. Turn left onto Calle 56 to Calle 51. Turn right to Calle 51, and Hotel del Peregrino B&B will be the blue house on your right. Most times of the day, you will be able to park on the street. If you don't find parking, double park and send someone in to our front desk. We'll find you a place in the nearby parking lot.

The Peregrino is an immaculately clean B&B which will be appreciated by anyone who values attention to detail. The friendly staff is always available and helpful. Located on a quiet side street, you're a 10 minute walk away from the central plaza. Like us, you may find yourself coming back here many times.

Very nice small hotel, with great staff that speak both Spanish and English. The rooms are small but very clean. Beds are soft by some Mexico standards which is good. The breakfast is basic but all you need and you can use a full kitchen to store and prepare your own lunch or dinner if you wish. Great location to Paseo De Montejo which is the major avenue with many old colonial homes and the Anthropology museum and only a 7 block walk to the main downtown square and a great selection of restaurants.

I was immediately struck by this old colonial home. The pasta tile floors are in perfect condition and most of the rooms and common areas have been nicely remodelled. The new owner and his staff were really nice and went out of there way on several occasions to ensure I was well taken care of. I kept extending my stay because I just didn't want to leave.

Mexico is one of the best places in the world for a honeymoon and Hotel del Peregrino really made it special for us. We were on a tight budget after spending a fortune on our wedding so we booked accommodations at a budget hotel but what we ended up getting was so much more. This is a beautifully restored colonial home; the place just has so much charm and they keep it really clean. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for everything.

The best hotel we’ve stayed in in Mexico. It wasn’t part of our plans to visit Merida but we are glad we did. Staff here is friendly and helpful with everything. We recommend staying here to everyone and will come back ourselves if ever in Mexico again.
