Outstanding warm laid back Inn. Wonderful hosts. Home made breakfast. We'd love to take the bed home with us. Cleanly. On the main hwy but off the beaten track. We enjoyed our visit and we will be back. 5 star stay. Terry & Susan Roberts. New York Mills MN.

We stayed here while house hunting in the Star Valley area. We had the best three nights' sleep on the king bed in the Americana room. That has to be the most comfortable bed ever! Breakfast was delicious every morning. Our last day there, we had to leave very early, and they were kind enough to get up and see us off with a fresh pot of coffee. Hard to find service like that! We would highly recommend this place to everyone!

This is THE PLACE to stay! Matt, Sheri & Mary are super. They really make you feel like you are family. You can come and go as you please and they are willing to help you find things to do in the area that you wouldn't otherwise find out about. Be sure to ask about the Elk too. Thank you for a very pleasant & comfortable stay!

This is the first time we have ever stayed at a "Bed and Breakfast". We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The location is excellent, with the exception of some road noise from US 89. The food was excellent. The rooms were great. Loved the decor and the overall feeling of the "Old West" that we got while we stayed there. Matt and Sheri were excellent hosts. One unexpected treat was the "campfire" out back, after the sun went down, where we roasted marshmallows and told stories. That will be a choice memory for a long time to come. The price of the room was just a little high, but when you consider it included the cost of breakfast, it turns out to be right in line with other hotels. Overall, I considered our stay at the Dutch Oven Inn outstanding.

I must say that I was very suprised to have found such a great place to stay. I am certain that it would hard to find a more comfortable place to stay. Thank you once again for a very pleasant experience. Robert Couvillon

I felt my lungs INFLATE with the onrush of SCENERY~ Air, Mountains, Trees and Wild Life. I Thought: This!!!! is what it is to be Happy.... Dutch Oven Inn, Thayne Wyoming. A home away from home experience. A most relaxed time spent mingling with staff and other visitors. Loved Star Valley resort, Must visit the Old Saw Mill Creamery. You need to visit the local nurseries. There wasn't enough time to do everything but we have things planned for next time. Yes were going back!!!

If you are looking for simple, down home goodness and friendly hosts, you just found it. My wife and I went there for our 20th anniversary, had a great time. Close to Grand Tetons National Park and Jackson Hole (about 1 hour to Jackson) without the high prices. The rooms are cozy and rustic, includes a mini fridge and satellite TV. There are no hot tubs in the rooms, but you can't beat the price! Matt and Sheri are kind and helpful, the breakfast was good, simple American fare (the bacon was amazing!) Matt will give you a map to some domesticated elk nearby where you can actually pet an elk, We didn't go fishing, but heard the the fishing in Star Valley is highly recommended. If you are looking for 5 star amenities, keep looking. If you are looking for simple accommodations, friendly service and an unbelievably low price, the Dutch Oven Inn is perfect.

Matt and Sheri went out of their way to accommodate my son and I when another booking in the area didn't pan out. We were treated like family and now consider them like long distance relatives. You simply cannot beat their hospitality and genuine care.

These are the friendliest people you will ever meet!! They did everything they could to make it a great stay. we got to use their fire pit on the cold nights, and grill our own steaks and burgers on their grill. excellent prices by far "cheap" prices compared to what you get in return. I have paid twice as much and got half the hospitality and comfort. oh yeah and they have excellent breakfast!!

rooms are great, food is great, and to top it off you get Matt and Sheri for free. thank you very much. Pete and Pam

Matt and Sheri are the most down to earth nicest people you will ever meet! They bend over backwards to make sure your stay is pleasant and enjoyable. Their rooms are charming and nicely decorated, and since there are bathrooms in each you don't have to share. They have a huge deck area with tables and a BBQ pit, perfect for group gatherings. Our snowmobile group has stayed 2 years now, and we would go back in a heartbeat! Food is fantastic and the hospitality is unsurpassed!

You will find no better place to stay in this area, even as far away as Jackson. Rooms are VERY comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast is the best you will ever have at a bed and breakfast. We are early risers and coffee was ready! Matt and Sheri are the best hosts you can hope for. They are great sources of information and so pleasant you never want to leave. Outstanding here is an understatement. STAY HERE if you are in the area! Joe and JoAnn from NJ

We had a class reunion at the Dutch Oven Inn in August of 2012. It felt like a home away from home. The beds were VERY comfortable after a long days drive. Matt and Sheri made sure our stay was fantastic. We were able to visit outside under the veranda area and during the evenings inside in the comfortable living room. The breakfast were outstanding and the service was the BEST!!!

This is a no brainer. We were a bit lost and it was very late (around midnight) but thankfully when we pulled in and called they had two rooms for us. We would have accepted anything but this wasn't just anyplace with a bed. This was heaven for us. The beds were SO comfortable and having never stayed in a bed and breakfast we didn't realize that having our own bathroom was something most don't have. The tvs are flat screen but honestly with the surrounding view you don't need it. As if we were weren't already blown away (did I mention the pillows?) the breakfast was amazing! I have to say the choices were great but beyond that the home cooking was better than anything you will get eating out. We plan to return later this year after snow has fallen. Thank you for making our "work" trip easier by providing an amazing night of sleep.

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the Dutch Oven Inn, and we can't say enough! The accommodations were perfect...spotless, cozy, nicely decorated. The breakfasts were incredible...great home-cooking, and we never left hungry! But the best part of our stay was the innkeepers themselves! Matt and Sheri were so hospitable! They made us feel like family, and definitely made us want to come back! Steve and Peggy, from Visalia, California

The Dutch Oven Inn was a weekend getaway for a class reunion! I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. I was meet at the front desk with a smile and can I help you with your bags, you sure don't find that any more. Each room was decorated in a different style and very clean and quiet. Breakfast the next morning you were greeted with "Can I get you a cup of coffee!!" I would highly recommend you book you next family reunion, wedding, class reunion, honeymoon, or weekend getaway here. It's five star and two thumbs up in my book, and the scenery out the back door is breath taking. Thanks again Matt and Sheri Griffin for a great weekend stay, I will be back.

What a great place. I would highly recommend it. If you want a fantastic lodging experience that fits the area, this is it. They are cozy with 10 rooms to so I would recommend early reservations. I was lucky, and called just after they had a cancellation. Each room is decorated in a western or wildlife theme. Some with log pole beds (I love these!) Each bed is covered with the most amazing hand made quilts, some made by the owner Sheri herself. The rooms are super clean and modern. There is a sitting room and exercise room downstairs. Outside they have a large deck which leads out to a pavilion and a fire pit. It’s perfect for weddings or family reunions. If you were to have a wedding with out of town guests coming in, it would be great to rent the whole place for the weekend. They also have RV parking and hookups on the property. The Lodge sets on 5 acres of beautiful property and they are still adding features which will soon include a play ground for children. Oh yes, I said it was a Bed and Breakfast. Inn keepers Matt and Sheri Griffin serve up a delicious country breakfast of pancakes, crispy bacon, eggs, cereal, fruit, cookies and snacks. They are right there cooking as you set down, No rubber eggs that have set in the steam table too long. Matt and Sheri are the nicest people you would ever meet and truly care that their guests have everything they need and enjoy their experience. As usual, I didn’t tell them who I was and what my business is, until I was leaving because I never want an owner to put on a show for me and not give the same service to others. They didn’t disappoint The rooms are moderately priced. Actually I think they are a little under priced for the experience, quality and cleanliness you are getting. Pssst, don’t tell them I said that. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this place a 10. Make this a must stop if you are staying in the area. Travel, Dream Discover. My husband and I recently attended a family reunion at the Dutch Oven Inn and then traveled on from there to Yellowstone. We enjoyed the good food and the good times there! This place with its beautiful setting, makes a great stopover on your way to the Tetons or Yellowstone Park.

What a beautiful inn in a beautiful setting! We attended a family reunion held there, and Matt and Sheri were fantastic! The food was delicious, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. There are hiking trails and golfing opportunities nearby, and it's located an easy travel distance from Grand Teton National Park.

The only word to describe the Dutch Oven Inn is Outstanding. Matt and Sheri were the greatest. 16 of us spent 3 nights and 4 days relaxing and snowmobiling. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were tasty and filling. There was 2 large bowls of popcorn waiting for us each day when we returned. Sherm and Sue from Idaho

My wife and I stayed there in middle of Sept 2011. After a long drive down from Yellowstone we saw their place still open at 11:00pm. They took us in and set us up. They were a true God send. I can't speak too highly of their service or the quality of their inn. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Jim and Mary from MD
