The Historic White Horse Bed and Breakfast

  • Inn Details

The twenty-two-room White Horse is among the most exceptional bed-and-breakfasts in West Virginia. Located in the Fayetteville National Historic District, the White Horse is only minutes from the New River Gorge National River. Though stately, its atmosphere is relaxed, and guests are usually attired for outdoor recreation. It is our goal to fullfill all of our guests' expectations and we will go the extra mile to ensure everyone feels at home while staying as our guest.

I had the run of the house in this gigantic 22-room mansion. I stayed in the Hawkins suite, which has an enormous king-size bed and private bathroom (also large). There were, indeed, delicious chocolates (Hershey Kisses) in the room. The decor in this place is wonderful: An original 1906 mural wraps around the top of the enormous dining toom, gorgeous antique furniture in every room, and a really cool shaving mirror in the bathroom. My total bill came to $117.60, which, though a little more expensive than the last place I stayed, was still a good deal. I would absolutely suggest The Historic White Horse to anyone passing through Fayetteville.
