Highlawn Inn, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, is an easy ride from metropolitan Washington, DC and Baltimore (only 2 hours), as well as nearby Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Rt. 522, which runs through Berkeley Springs as Washington Street, is accessible by I-70, 81 and 66. Follow Rt. 522 either north from Winchester, VA or south from Hancock, MD (exit 1-B off I-70) to Market Street just south of the park and springs. Turn at Citizens National Bank (CNB) on the corner of Market Street and Rt. 522. Follow the street two blocks to the top of the hill. Highlawn Inn is on the left.

When winter gets to be a drag, we always spend a weekend at Highlawn. The place gives us peace and relaxation that is hard to find in our busy lives. We try to schedule on weekends when Sandy does one of her fabulous Silver Service/wine tasting dinners. As expected, the food was wonderful, both at the dinner on Saturday and the breakfasts. We enjoy a good soak in the mineral water, go to our favorite shops in town, attend any festivals, go to the Ice House to check out the art, and read in front of the fire. A fine weekend getaway, with the best hosts ever!!

We chose Highlawn based on reviews, and we were not disappointed. The host and staff were welcoming, informative, helpful and thorough. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in town. The room was better than we expected, and the breakfast buffet is unbeatable. We also loved all the cats around the house, including the newest young girl kitty. We had a great weekend and will definitely return.

Great location on a hill above town, you can walk right down into it. Everyone was very nice.

We took a winter escape from Canada to spend a wonderful time at the Highlawn Inn - Aunt Pearls Parlour to recharge our batteries. From the gorgeous suite with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub to an incredible breakfast served every morning in the diningroom with the resident cats coming for a visit. Thank you Sandy and Laura for a great stay! We will be back. Dave and Karen
