Two lovely historic homes in Wausau's Andrew Warren Historic district. Each room in the Inn is distinctly decorated and all have private baths. Our Inn is within walking distance to downtown shopping, several fine resturants, the Leigh Yawke Woodson Art Museum, and Grand Theater/ArtsBlock.

My husband, dog and I walked in to a quaint, adorable and clean room. We stayed at the Devoe house across the street from the Rosenberry, on the 2nd floor. Loved the heart shapes made with towels, with little fresh flowers laid on top. We got a chance to use the love seat 2-seater Jacuzzi, and that was nice. The porch-like swing hanging from the ceiling was awesome. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to dine in the morn at the Rosenberry, as that house across the street from us, the main house, had a huge family filling all the rooms. so they occupied the food . But Krista took care of us and we had a lovely breakfast at "the mint" outside, in the downtown area with the Ozzie. Downtown was just a 4/5 block walk. (Everything in walking distance) Cute shops, enjoyable restaurants. Fantastic day hiking at Rib Mountain State Park!!! Nice mothers day brunch at the Greenwood Hills Country Club nearby. The amenities were great along with the location to get to the downtown area. Our hostess Krista was lovely, and Ozzie got along wonderfully with her dog Luke. We would definitely recommend a stay here, if passing through Wausau.
Thank you so much for the very kind review!! It was a sincere pleasure meeting all three of you! Luke also enjoyed meeting Ozzie and he gave him a "four paws up furry guest rating"! We hope you come back again in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the upper room of the Devoe House, across the street from the main house. It was rustic luxury in this very historic little house! We will definitely stay again if our travels bring us again to Wausau for business or pleasure.
We are so very glad you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you so much for your kind review!! We are excited to know that you will return and will seek to make your repeat visits even better than your first! Thanks again!!

My wife and I stayed at the Devoe house across the street from the Rosenberry because we wanted to enjoy the Jacuzzi tub. The hot water seemed to run out before the tub filled up, but it was still nice to have in the room. One of my favorite features was the REAL fireplace. A sign in the room said that the fire was prepared to light for our convenience, however, that wasn't the case at all. I ended up putting in the kindling, paper, and log to get a fire going. The nice thing, is that the wood was nice and dry, and took right off, so it didn't require a lot of messing around with. The room also had a cd player and speakers with nice relaxing music to enjoy while sitting by the fire or while enjoying the jet tub! The bed in our room (Adelaide Suite) was pretty rickety, and didn't seem too stable, but like much of the rooms' décor, was very antique like which my wife just loved! Breakfast in the morning was fantastic!! The caretaker was friendly, and very helpful. I thought that the price was a bit high for what you get/experience, but maybe that's because I'm just an el cheapo! Overall, it was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay. I was very surprised at how quiet it was given that the location is in town. We did tour and look at the rooms in the main house (Rosenberry) and were very impressed with the layout and décor in most rooms. I would have to give this place an overall 3 out of 5 star rating!

This B&B is a great location to downtown Wausau and staff is friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and gets very high marks-- the mattress made for a good night's sleep. On the downside, we were basically shown to our room and told when breakfast was served and left to our own devices. The host was helpful when asked about things but didn't offer much up front. Breakfast was adequate but not up to par with some B&Bs we've stayed at, but then again I like to be up and on my way and try to steer clear of those B&Bs that offer ten course sit-down meals that take all morning. We stayed in the dead of winter, and our room was delightfully warm and cozy; the public sitting/TV area downstairs was just too chilly at night to use comfortably so we mostly hug out in our room, which unfortunately did not have a comfortable chair for reading.

The William Suite is cute if you don't mind climbing some stairs and not being in the main house. The fireplace was nice but the hot water often ran out. Breakfast was lovely, just the right amount of food. I do wish they had coffee other than a Kuerig machine but I'm a bit of a coffee snob.

My fiance proposed to me in front of the lit fireplace when we stayed there:) It was an amazing place. We will go back. Thanks! Becky and Adam Justman

We stayed in the William Suite across the street in the DeVoe house. It has very steep stairs to reach the upstairs suite -- keep that in mind if you have lots of luggage or issues with your legs. The fireplace was not set up -- but it was July adn we did not use it. The 2 person whirlpool tub was great. The location is within walking distance of the "downtown" so shops and restaurants are very handy. We ate at the Way Back Cafe -- a very nice upscale establishment (most every table was filled on a Thursday night) There was even a band concert in the City Square. We stayed on a weekday so our breakfast was only continental style -- but very nice. Since we were the only guests, John sent the leftovers with us for snacking on later :-). We had a nice visit with John over breakfast.

It's a beautiful historic home in a fine area of Wausau, an easy walk to the charming downtown area. The rooms are interesting and comfortable, and the small refrigerator was very handy to have in the room. The baths tend to be small, with old sinks and limited or no counter space. But the showers are new Kohler acrylic prefab units. The main staircase is really gorgeous, with fantastic art-glass windows. The front porch is huge, facing the morning sun.....a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoons.

We stayed on a weeknight after dropping our daughter at camp, and enjoyed a wonderful summer evening at Rosenberry. After walking downtown for dinner, and along the river afterwards, we enjoyed sitting on the humongous front porch rocking in the chair and reading. It was very pleasant and the house was nice. Our hearty breakfast in the morning was accompanied by John, who sat with us and had good conversation for about 45 minutes. He was a good host, and we liked our stay.
