Patti and Turner are awesome hosts! The whole place is cozy, very clean, and peaceful! The room we stayed in was beautiful, relaxing, and we absolutely loved it! When we checked in, the sun was beaming in the room and it made a beautiful, warm glow. There was a fireplace, whirlpool, and very comfortable bed. The room was decorated in a quaint theme that made it all the more relaxing! This was our second trip here, and we will be going many more times! Thank you, Patti and Turner!

We went to the Canyon Road Inn for my wife's birthday 2 years ago. We had such a great time that we went back again this year. We are making it her birthday tradition. Patti and Turner are amazing! I need a gluten free diet, and Patti was perfectly willing to make special accommodations for me. Not only did she cook gluten free breakfasts for me, but they were delicious!! As anybody with gluten allergies knows, if not done right, gluten free food can be grainy and not exactly the best tasting. They also had fresh baked gluten free cookies waiting in our room when we arrived! These little touches, amazing rooms, and a beautiful environment make the Canyon Road Inn our favorite get away.

Writing this in the middle of winter, makes us think back to our wonderful stay last fall, in September. This was the perfect setting for our anniversary, and everything lived up to our expectations and more. Patti and Turner were the perfect hosts, and we enjoyed their hospitality and company. Everything about this place was wonderful, from the room, to "boating" on the lake, the breakfast, etc. every detail was taken care of.... We can't wait to get back next year.

We enjoyed a wonderful getaway...Patti and Turner's hospitality was fantastic! Our room was fantastic and very private. The grounds were beautiful in a fresh snowfall, and we hope to go back to explore them in warmer weather. This is a great B&B getaway for those who aren't looking for the antique/Victorian B&B experience found so many other places.

It was a very charming place, we were one of two couples staying there so it was quiet and peaceful. The owners personally greeted us when we pulled up and breakfast was really good. I would recommend this place because I'll be going there again.

We were given a one night stay as a gift. Wish we could have stayed longer. Patti and Turner were warm, welcoming and excellent cooks. Hope to return again soon.

We stayed for my birthday celebration & couldn't have been more pleased with everything about our visit! Patti and Turner were the best hosts! The Inn was in impecable order and the attention to details from the sheets to the towels being so soft made our overnigt fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. we spent 2 nights at canyon road. it was fantastic. we met other people staying there. the host and hostess were very friendly and did whatever they could to make our stay memorable.

We enjoyed a few nights this September - Our room was wonderful - four poster bed with canopy, working fireplace, deep soaking tub and hugh shower with all the goodies. The hospitality was warm and welcoming and the breakfast were a treat. We hope to go back again and again!

It was an incredible weekend. We LOVE staying here. It is out of the way and very restful. Walking paths, canoeing, outdoor fires, whirlpool baths, indoor fireplaces, and cozy. We plan on coming again and again and again. Thanks Patty and Turner.

This place is top notch! We've been here several times, and every time is just as good as the last. The service is incredible and the rooms cover every detail of luxury. We always look so forward to our next trip up. If you haven't yet tried Canyon Road Inn, you MUST! You'll never want to go to another B&B again, because there's simply no other place like it!

Outstanding! The place is very beautiful both inside and outside. Turner and Patti are wonderful hosts. We went there to relax and recharge and it turned out to be the perfect place to do just that. We stayed four days and I could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

Wish we could have stayed longer! We only booked a night to attend a wedding nearby. This is a really lovely place, nicely appointed and on a beautiful lake. We had a delicious breakfast. The owners were very pleasant and relaxed. The home is meant to be a B&B so it is spacious and well-laid out. Definately will return.

The food was spectacular. The amenities are awesome. The rooms are large. They have a game/DVD room. A fridge with pops and water and popcorn. The best part was that Turner built us an incredible fire out by the lake - all we had to do was pull up our chairs and light it. It was a perfect way to end a lovely day of golf. There were 2 couples in our group and we won't stay anywhere else when he head up to that area of Wisconsin.

Found this on the internet and I was not sure. You want a great stay, but how will it really be when you get there? It Was Fabulous!!! Clean ,friendly, great breakfast , friendly common areas and well designed warn and quality suites. Very modern updated and warm. The innkeepers are personable and professional. The inn has its own wonderful setting and the guests have access to canoes, rowboat, and paddleboat to use on the lake. The innkeepers make ice available for their guests, something many innkeepers forget or ignore. This is a destination place onto itself.

What a wonderful, serene get-away! Turner & Patti are the most gracious hosts; very friendly & laid back. We will definitely be back!

Patti and Turner have created a wonderful space to slip away from the world to reconnect (with yourself or with someone you love), recharge, and relax. It was a perfect way to regroup and recharge from a year in Afghanistan. The rooms are luxurious. The beds ultra comfortable. The breakfast delicious. The grounds invite exploration. Games, books, and movies are provided for guest use as are tools and information for connecting with nature. Turtle Lake is convenient located within an hour or so of a variety of things to explore but the Inn itself offers a variety of options without venturing out. For those who wish to explore, Patti and Turner are able to provide suggestions and guidance on what is available. After my stay, I said to a friend that if anyone wants to sweep me off my feet a visit to Canyon Road would be an excellent way to do so. I look forward to returning to the Inn to experience the charms of all four seasons and the company of Patti and Turner.

Everything about our stay at the Canyon Road Inn pleased us. I grew up about 3 miles from the inn, so it was so satisfying to have such a wonderful experience at the inn. Our room, The Haven, was next to luxurious, watching the deer outside our patio door was so peaceful, the breakfasts were homemade and delicious, everything was well-maintained and clean, and Patti and Turner were a lot of fun! I'll be going back!

This is a wonderful facility with luxurious rooms and gourmet breakfast. The woodsy setting is beautiful and right on the lake. Turner and Patti are excellent innkeepers. They recommended a local golf course that resulted in a first-class golf experience. They also recommended an Italian restaurant that produced excellent food at very reasonable prices. We look forward to returning.

When we first got there Patti introduced herself to us and made us feel right at home. We were celebrating our 29th anniversary and asked for suggestions for places to eat dinner that night. Patti recommended a few places but the one that stuck out was Janes Pizza-we met at a pizza place. The pizza was excellent. The bed was wonderful and we both enjoyed the rainfall shower head in the shower. Breakfast was awesome. We also had a great time meeting the other couples there and found we had a lot in common. Patti and Turner are great people and we can't wait to go back.

We toured all the rooms and all were wonderful. They were very tasteful and not to frilly for the men. It was a quiet venue and the innkeepers were most kind, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous. We highly recommend the inn and hope to go back and take a large group with us.

We love B&B's but due to having and raising kids this was the first one in 4 years and it was incredible. Our Anniversary was remembered throughout our stay. Champagne, cards, home baked cookies and we could walk right out of our room (love the railroad room!)to canoe, walk trails, and be right in nature! Loved it! We felt like we were a million miles away and so pampered. Thanks!

great weekend getaway for a couple. great rooms, great amenities, great service, very nice owners who really care about your stay. It was the little things like having a small loaf of banana bread waiting for us a 4am at the door because we had to leave early and miss breakfast. If you love wildlife watching, there is an abundance of it.

We stayed in the haven room. The shower, linens, and bed were all amazing. Everything was top notch and what a beautiful, scenic location. There are several lovely trails for you to take walks on. The lake is right there for your enjoyment and there are paddleboats and canoes available for your use, no extra charge, like some places. Patti and Turner are excellent hosts, very friendly, responsive and knowledgable about the area. We can't wait to go back in the fall when the leaves are changing.

Michelle and I have stayed at Canyon Road Inn a number of times and each time we have found the place to be so warm, relaxing and inviting (we've stayed in 3 different rooms)! But what really makes the stay so wonderful is the warm and friendly hospitality of Patti and Turner, the outstanding Inn Keepers! You can't go wrong staying at this B&B!!! Stephen

We have been to Canyon Road in a few times and LOVE it. We have been to a few other B&Bs and without a doubt, think that this one is the BEST one. We especially love the Haven and Homestead Suites although the other suites are great too. We love the DVD/TV in the room, the selection of movies and games. We love that it's on a beautiful man made lake and that we have seen ample deer. We love how quiet it is. We love the inn hosts/owners - they are by far the friendliest and kindest hosts we have met. The breakfasts are delicious and light. We would go every weekend if we lived closer. This one is a MUST stay B&B. :)

hello, we had a fabulous time at the inn and our breakfasts were gourmet. amazing.. patti made french toast like ive never had it. with berries and creme cheese inside, so wonderful and fresh juice all homemade food there. the rooms are fabulous. even have a game room.. you need bring nothing but pjs and a toothbrush

Canyon Road Inn is by far one of the best B&B's we have stayed at. The rooms have been redecorated and are so wonderful..The Kashwere robes are fabulous, the fireplace and whirlpool, the awesome breakfast and last but not least a wonderful couple who make you feel so welcome. This is definitely an A++ place to stay.

I've been staying at nice B & B's for 15+ years and this one certainly kept pace with the best of them! My visit was during the wintertime and the property offered snowshoeing, wonderful woodland views (deer too!), and a welcoming gas fireplace in my room. Because I left very early in the mornings I missed breakfast (normally served at 9 a.m.). However, Patti prepared a small basket each morning that offered a mix of muffins, yogurt, and fruit for me to take along. The stay offered other nice touches, like special treats (for the New Years holiday weekend) and a separate kitchen area with soda and popcorn for guests. One of the trickiest aspects of staying at B & B's are the beds!!! However, my bed in the Garden Room was extremely comfortable with high quality pillows and linens. I would recommend this B & B to anyone!

It was a weekend getaway from my boyfriend and I's busy lives! We we welcomed right away, was shown around, and participated in a wine tasting! The rooms and service were absolutly wonderful, and the breakfast in the morning was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone...my now fiance and I will definitely be back :)

I have done a lot of traveling in my 26+ years in the U.S. Navy and lodged at many places and have never been more impressed than with our room/accomodations at Canyon Road Inn. This was our first stay at a B&B, but won't be our last at this particular B&B. The room (Homestead) was very spacious, filled with a warm atmosphere. The pictures on the website do not do justice to the rooms--they are huge when seeing them in person. BUT--what made our anniversary so great was people. A good room is nice, but customer service is what hit it home for us. The owner/operators, Patti & Turner are EXCEPTIONAL people who treated us like VIPs and at same time, like family. They are GENUINELY friendly--no phoninous about them what-so-ever. Patti & Turner-- thank you for being you.

My wife and I spent some time at the Canyon Road Inn for our first anniversary. We were not disappointed one bit, and this place far exceeded our expectations. We would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. There are several fun places to visit within a short drive. We chose to spend a day in St. Croix at the winery & park near the river. What a great weekend get-away!

We were welcomed by Patty and settled in to our room. Since Turtle Lake is a small town, we asked for advice about where to dine for the evening. Patty had great suggestions and even some menus from the establishments. THe breakfast in the morning was great. We met two other couples and the conversation was wonderful!

Patti and Turner are outstandidng hosts who are dedicated to making their b and b the absolute best. Their rooms are super clean and cozy, the grounds are gorgeous, and their personal hospitality is warm and genuine. I'd recommend Canyon Road Inn to anyone looking for a restful get-away in a scenic wooded area of the northland.

We just spent our first weekend at Canyon Road Inn, and we will definitely go again and again! We loved the incredible beauty of the woodland setting - a gorgeous mix of hardwoods and pines, with Skinaway Lake in the background. The fall colors were spectacular. We loved the touches of hay bales and pumpkins, tastefully welcoming us. Patti and Turner greeted us with a warm welcome, and we felt instantly at home there. After a brief tour of all the wonderful community areas and amenities, we were introduced to our gorgeous room, The Haven. We were blown away with the elegance and beauty of the room, and all the attentions to detail and decorating. The gorgeous 4 poster bed, the stone fireplace, the clawfoot soaking tub and huge shower, all with a gorgeous view of the lake. The Keurig coffee maker was fun and made great coffee whenever we wanted. We were also welcomed with a basket of freshly made (and delicious) chocolate chip cookies! The breakfasts were delicious, and we bonded instantly with the other couples. It was the best B&B experience we've had, and we look forward to another stay this winter! The acres of woods will be perfect for snowshoeing or CC skiing!

My husband and I went there for our anniversary. It was so beautiful there. The view of the lake and the nature walk and even the paddle boat ride. The rooms were creatively decorated and yet fun and enjoyable. It just made us feel at home. Oh, and the smell of baked cookies all throughout the house was mouth watering. I plan on going back this winter for some snow shoeing. But don't take our word for it. Give it a try.

My Fiance and I arrived a little late for our stay at this place and we sure wish we did not arrive late. We missed the opportunity to enjoy our full time at this location. The grounds are magnificent and the house and rooms are amazing. We will definetly come back to this location again. The rooms are reasonably priced and the caramel apple french toast was awesome. I highly reccommend this place to anybody, who needs a beautiful getaway.

If you want to get away from it all and enjoy peace and quite this is the place to be. It is so beautiful. The atmosphere at Canyon Road is unbelievable. My husband researched the internet and chose Canyon Road Inn as a surprise for our 25th Wedding anniversary. It was the most relaxing 2 days ever. This was our first time at a b&b. Patti and Turner made us feel like we were family. They went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. From the moment we made our reservations,we knew we were in for a great experience. The location is perfect, quiet,secluded and wildlife abounds yet 2 minutes from town. The accommodations were excellent quiet, you couldn't hear anyone else in the next room, clean and spacious.We felt relaxed and were free to do things at our leisure. During our visit it was apparent to us that this was the start of a life long friendship.We will be back many more times to come. My wife and I stayed for two nights for our one-year anniversary. It was a perfect experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well themed. Patty and Turner were very helpful for discovering the local area and for helping out when needed. The breakfast meals they made were plentiful and delicious. Overall, a great experience. I've been recommending this place to our friends and would be very happy to stay for another experience.

We've stayed here several times, but this was the first time with the new innkeepers, Patti & Turner. We'll certainly return as they made our tenth wedding anniversary stay truly memorable! The accommodations are spacious, clean and comfortable, the hospitality is top notch. Patti & Turner really did pick up right where Ken and Judy (the original innkeepers at the inn) left off. The breakfasts were delicious and quite satisfying. Our stay was just so relaxing, if only we could have stayed another night!

My husband and I were in the Northwoods room and had a very relaxing weekend stay. We even tried snowshoeing for the first time and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset from our room. Patti and Turner were wonderful hosts. I think one of the best parts for us was the food -- both the homemade cookies (YUM!) and the absolutely delicious breakfast!! I just wanted to keep eating more and more! This was our first B&B experience and what a way to start!! Judy and Ken are such warm and gracious hosts--like friends! The room we chose-the Railroad Room-was excellent and so cozy. It snowed the day after we arrived and it was so quiet and peaceful! We sat out on the patio and just drank in the peace and wildlife and the beauty. The people with whom we shared our experience were friendly and we so enjoyed our conversations with Todd and Cathy and Dewey and Winnie! And the food!! Judy, you are a marvelous cook and I learned a few things, too!! (water instead of milk in the eggs!). And many thanks to Ken for helping us find our way to Sunday night! You two are awesome! Great host. Food was wonderful. Rooms were spacious. The setting is delightful. Beautiful Sunsets. The colors are spectacular. If you are looking for that comfortable room to stay, like you remember at grandma's house this is the place.

This two night, mid-week stay had to be one of the best B & B experiences we ever had. Judy and Ken were great host, breakfast was outstanding, and the facilities were immaculate. We are planning another visit in the fall to enjoy the colors of the season.

My husband & I needed a relaxing retreat away from the hectic pace of life and found this hidden treasure. Our stay was just that if not more...peaceful, comfortable and romantic. The Inn had clean spacious rooms, gathering areas, and amnities galore to make our stay a wonderful one. Not to mention the beautiful nature views and activities provided outdoors. Of course, the breakfasts were delicous with quite a variety of choices. The extra special treatment from our friendly hosts made our stay one that warrants a return in the future. Truly a treasure you don't want to miss!

On my way to meet family in Hayward, this is my second stay at the Canyon Road Inn over Memorial Day Weekends, most recently this year, 2009. I don't know where to start. I can now say my three favorite mornings of the year are Christmas, Easter, and when I awaken at the Canyon Road Inn on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. 1) The place is immaculately clean. 2) Judy and Ken Ahlberg are friendly, approachable, professional, and dedicated inn-keepers. My experience two years in a row is consistently fantastic! 3) The bed is extremely comfortable. 4) The breakfast is delicious. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so let me put it this way, I don't need lunch after a Canyon Road Inn breakfast. 5) The place is underpriced - no additional comment needed. 6) There is a lake in your backyard. Gorgeous gazebo, firepit, expansive grounds... the common area is therapeutic; sit on the common balcony and observe many variety of birds, butterflies, or browse one of their "coffee table" photo books to reinforce the beauty around you. Summary: wonderful place, innkeepers, and value. I hope the Canyon Road Inn can continue to exceed expectations for years to come.

Ken and Judy were the perfect hosts! They were extremely accomodating and everything needed was provided!! We fell in love with the B&B on first sight! We toured every room upon arrival and each one was very clean, neat and very welcoming! We have been to the inn on numerous occasions. The rooms are always clean and cozy, the breakfasts are out of this world and the innkeepers are always welcoming and willing to share their knowledge of the area.

The Canyon Road Inn is an absolutely beautiful home in the woods, on a lake, yet walking distance from town. The rooms and decor are fantastic, yet quiet and very comfortable. Our breakfast was excellent, very tasteful, and done with care. Ken and Judy are wonderful hosts who seem to have thought of everything you might need, whether you stay one night or many. Ours was a winter visit and we could only imagine what a summer stay will be like. Without a doubt we would recommend the Canyon Road Inn to everyone. Such a wonderful B&B, nestled away in Wisconsin's beautiful Northwoods. Immaculate and homey, delicious food, and truly warm and caring hosts. We will definitely be planning a return visit!!

We have stayed at the Canyon Road Inn three times for a total of 5 nights, most recently the first weekend in February and twice (August & Sept.) in 2008. The rooms are just beautiful and comfortable each with a private bath, hot tub and a fireplace. A lovely view of Skinaway Lake that this B&B is located on was just outside of our patio door. We walked the trails through the woods surrounding this Inn, enjoying nature and spent hours out on the lake using the boats that they provide. This February in addition to just enjoying our room, we visited antique stores and the St. Croix Casino located just 1 mile away. The owners Ken & Judy couldn't be any nicer! We have spent allot of time just visiting with them, sharing stories and showing pictures. The breakfasts they serve are always delicious and are a great chance to meet and visit with the other guests. This is our favorite home away from home and we highly recommend this B&B, you'll LOVE it!

We had a wonderful, relaxing visit with Ken and Judy at Canyon Road Inn. Right from the start, they were incredibly nice and hospitable. The rooms are like new even though they are 10 years old. They are comfortable and each have their own bathrooms. The little extras like different choices of music, fireplace, the snack area, etc. made our stay even better. The breakfast that Ken and Judy served was not only plentiful, it was delicious! Conversation with them was a wonderful bonus to our stay. What a terrific place!

It was a get away for myself to get some R & R and was perfect. Being able to sit by the fireplace with a view of the woods/lake and whirlpool in the room was relaxing.
