Door County HQ

We stayed here as a base for a Door County trip and a trip to see the Packers. The location of perfect for both (there is not much in Green Bay). Dan and Vicki are wonderful hosts and outstanding cooks. The house is fantastic. We stayed in the Gazebo Room and recommend it highly. The hot tub is perfect and the fireplace is just right.

A Great Way To Celebrate My Wife's Birthday

5 on August 11, 2015

Dan and Vicki Klein afforded us a fabulous weekend at the Scofield House to help celebrate my wife's birthday. The B & B was clean, elegant, and very comfortable. The food was great, and we met some very nice people while having breakfast. I highly recommend the Scofield House for a special get away. Thanks, Dan and Vicki!

Great B&B

4.6 on July 25, 2015

My wife and I recently spent two days at the Scofield House in Sturgeon Bay. WI. Dan and Vicki were very gracious hosts. We stayed the Gazebo Room. It was a great room with a huge whirlpool tub in a large bathroom. The room had a walk-in closet which is unusual for an old home. The craftsmanship of the wood work in the floors, molding, and doors takes you back in time. The breakfast was very good with a choice of juice, a coffee cake, fruit cup, and an egg dish. Very large portions left me not wanting lunch until 2 PM. We had a great stay at the Scofield House and would go back in a heartbeat.

This was a side trip after a seven day reunion and it wasn't nearly enough. The room was lovely and very restful. The breakfast was delicious, although we only got a chance to experience it one morning since early travel was on our agenda. If you plan to stay longer in the area, this is a wonderful place to stay. Hosts Vicki and Dan were very friendly and very attentive to everyone's needs. At breakfast, we met an interesting couple and it was fun to meet new people over breakfast. A great time but too short.

"Perfect Getaway"

5 on July 12, 2015

Stayed at the Scofield House for a combination anniversary and 4th of July trip.We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Vicki and Dan were excellent host who made us feel right at home. Scofield House is a beautiful Victorian home with a great front porch and swing. The breakfasts were delicious and there were alot of little touches like cookies for your nightly sweet tooth along with hot and cold beverages 24/7. We would highly recommend a stay here and look forward to a return visit someday.

Highly recommend this beautiful B&B!

Dan & Vicki's beautiful B&B came highly recommended. My husband & I were looking for a quiet, quick get away....our first B&B experience. First, a huge thank you to Dan & Vicki for a relaxing stay - your B&B is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and no detail was forgotten! Any guest visiting will feel special! Every detail has been thought of - from cookies and local Root Beer, chocolates in the room, super soft sheets, a comfortable bed, and bath salts! And this review would not be complete without mentioning Dan's amazing breakfast! The table was set beautifully and Dan served us a complete three course breakfast. The blueberry muffin was wonderful and the french toast was amazing! It was truly a treat! We really felt welcomed by the innkeepers and left impressed with how nice and relaxing our stay was! We hope to come back again and have already recommended Scofield House to our friends!

A perfect introduction to Door County

This was our first visit to Door County andDan & Vickie were wonderful hosts. We've stayed in other B&Bs but Scofield House exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the rose room and it was extremely comfortable. Vickie showed us how to turn on the fireplace and use Netflix. The whirlpool tub was also wonderful. The house is a charming Victorian in a very quiet area. The breakfast Dan made was absolutely charming-- fresh brewed coffee, fresh berries, a wide selection of juices and homemade French toast with sausage-- all served on vintage China--wonderful!! My husband and I are already planning another stay here!

Room at the Top is Tops!

4.4 on October 20, 2014

Dan and Vicki were wonderful hosts. The Scofield House is a beautiful home in a charming area. My wife and I picked the Scofield House for our mini-moon (learned this term from one of the other guests: a minimalist type of first honeymoon, right after the wedding, before a more elaborate honeymoon trip planned for later). The Room at the Top has a unique layout, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing and romantic week. The location worked well for us, although the neighborhood type setting of the house itself was nothing special, the location made it easy for us to venture north into Door County in the afternoons and wander through the days. The Scofield House and the surrounding area provided the perfect romantic escape and ideal relaxation retreat after the hustle and bustle of planning and a wonderfully wild whirlwind wedding day with friends and family. I was originally disappointed about the tight breakfast timeline (breakfast served between 8:30 and 9), but I soon came to find how enjoyable it made our stay; it allowed us to meet each of the other guests who were all down in the dining room at the same time, enjoying breakfast together, laughing, and planning the day. Breakfasts were very well prepared, filling, and very tasty--always a breakfast bread, fruit, and main dish. The main dish was an interesting type of breakfast casserole, different each day (but after a week we were “casseroled out” (maybe that’s likely to happen staying at any B&B for a week)). Overall our stay was excellent, the service friendly and competent, and my wife and I will likely be back for getaways in the future.

Lovely stay in beautiful home!

What a delightful stay in a convenient location, especially for the Door County Century Ride! 1 mile from the fairgrounds... quiet, lovely appointments, great hot tub and tv. Dan and Vicki aim to please! Lovely...

Dan and Vicki have a beautiful B & B! The entire house is immaculate! I stayed in the water lily room for one night with my mother on an unexpected trip to Door County. Dan immediately grabbed my luggage and took it to the room. He showed us how to use the TV, including Netflix, and the lighting etc. I enjoyed a nice long soak in the double whirl pool tub with salt crystals that were in the bathroom. The tub was extremely clean or trust me, I would not have even thought about getting in it! Across from the water lily room is a single toilet with a small fridge filled with on the house orange and root beer soda. The room had yummy Hershey chocolates by the bedside. The sheets are beyond soft. The owners do sell them. I hope to get some for Christmas! The room was very quiet, I never heard the other guests. The front porch swing is perfect to read a book or enjoy a mug of tea or coffee which is available whenever you want it. The breakfast was delicious! Cherry and white chocolate scones, juices, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, sausage and french toast. I did not have to eat lunch! VERY filling and yummy! I would highly recommend staying at the Scofield house. It would be a very safe place to stay if you were alone as well. ~Kristi
